- Abstract
In recent years, an increased level of enthusiasm on the Swedish stock market has been recognized, which has not been noted since 2004. While prior research has explored the engagement of individuals on the stock market based on demographic factors, a knowledge gap has been identified with regards to this increased engagement. Specifically, a new and evolved empirical group has been noticed, which warrants further exploration. Purpose In order to contribute to an analysis of the engagement on the Swedish stock market, this study aims to, with the use of a quantitative method, map the engagement on the Swedish stock market through the demographic factors gender, age and education level. Methodology This study utilizes a quantitative method with a deductive approach and a cross-sectional design. The empirical data has been collected through a digital survey where a probability sample was used. The material consisted of 116 appropriate answers, which were further analyzed with the assistance of correlation matrices, bi- and multivariate regression analyses. Results The analysis conducted demonstrated a negative significance between gender and engagement on the Swedish stock market, while no significance could be observed between the variable studied and, age and education level. Conclusion The negative significance that has been identified indicates that men have a higher engagement rate on the Swedish stock market compared to women. No further relation has been established, resulting in that age and level of education cannot be used to map the engagement on the Swedish stock market.

The diploma seminar titled Mystery Library User is related to the market-research method of observation called Mystery Shopper. The purpose and goal of the seminar are to make research that is based on the method of observation by users an important element in evaluating the performance of public libraries. The research is mainly related to a reference conversation, the quality of which is important for a proper understanding between librarians and users. The diploma seminar also describes the market research method of observation – the Mystery Shopper, from which the research Mystery Library User originates. The survey was conducted in three Slovenian public libraries in February 2021. The results showed that librarians' responses are differed from the user's information needs – if this is inadequately defined, the librarian might dismiss the user. Librarians still offer too few possible services available to the users (interlibrary loan, e-resources, etc.). At the end of the reference conversation, the user may have the feeling that the librarian has helped him to some extent, but it depends on the librarian if and how they provided all the needed information during the conversation. Users often decide to return to the library based on previous experiences, therefore, these are crucial. As this is a pilot study, no major conclusions can be drawn. The research provides insight into the analysis of library services by users, which are crucial for the existence of libraries.

6. Information inquiry for research institutions: A semantic web based approach.

- Abstract
Conventionally, when the administration needs to learn the work of its research institutions, the most popular form is handing out various survey reports. Due to the difference in the platforms and vocabularies used by research institutions and their administrations, it is hard to completely automate this task and thus it takes a lot of time for the institutions to manually fill out these reports. To fill this gap, this paper employs the semantic web technologies to develop an information inquiry system for research institutions. First, we extract and preprocess the entity information from the institutions. Then we use the ontology language to describe the logical relations between entities like organizations, people and projects. Thus an institution-oriented functional ontology is constructed, which is capable of logical reasoning. Next, with self-defined rules, we also incorporate the generic rule engine to realize the functionality of information retrieval. Finally, by treating this system as the service provider in the architecture of the semantic web services, we fulfill the separation of query content from query format and enable the interoperable machine-to-machine interaction over a network. Therefore, both the administrations and the institutions can use their own language to pose or process the query. Such a system not only demonstrates the power of semantic web, but also provides a portal for the exchange and sharing of information between research institutions and their administrations. This field study takes interest in subordinates' information seeking from their superiors through inquiry in a complex organizational setting. Information inquiry is investigated via typology, in the context of upward communication, in which organizational hierarchy and corresponding communication rules and procedures play an important role. Data were collected amid high levels of uncertainty, also capturing cultural influences by including in the study multi-country operations of a large, US-based MNC. The countries involved in this study are France, Italy, Spain, the UK, and the USA. Survey data (N = 2213) show significant influence of perceived transformational leadership style on the frequency of subordinates' information inquiry across all five countries. A series of moderated multiple regressions reveal weak moderating effects of vertical individualism, power distance, tolerance for ambiguity, and an employee's level in the hierarchy on this relationship.
