Cilj je utvrditi kako je KK Cibona uspjela uz zlatnu generaciju osamdesetih godina prošloga stoljeća dva puta zaredom osvojiti Kup prvaka, odnosno najelitnije klupsko košarkaško natjecanje, današnju Euroligu. 35 godina kasnije situacija je malo drukčija, klub je u jednom trenu bio pred gašenjem, istina jest da su osvojili regionalno natjecanje, tzv. ABA ligu 2014., međutim sve je to daleko od ondašnje Cibone koja je nekada harala europskom košarkom. Štošta se toga promijenilo od te generacije osamdesetih, Cibona, istini na volju, više nije tako konkurentna kao nekad, na financijskom planu još uvijek dobro kotiraju iako se od hrvatske košarke očekuje više. I to je cilj istraživanja, zbog čega je hrvatska košarka tako pala na niske grane, zašto više nema Cibone među klubovima u Europi, što im je potrebno da bi ostvarili veliki povratak na košarkašku scenu. Bila je tu i Cedevita koja je igrala jedno vrijeme i Euroligu, ali zaljubljenici u košarku se nisu uspjeli stopiti s momčadi u vlasništvu Emila Tedeschija, koji su zatim otišli u Sloveniju. Mogu li Vukovi s Tuškanca na sličan način preuzeti model od Cedevite i vratiti se na staze stare slave?, The aim is to determine how the basketball club Cibona managed to win twice in a row in the Champions Cup (the most elite club basketball competition, todays’ Euroleague) with the golden ‘80s generation. 35 years later the situation is rather different – the club was almost shut down at one point. It is true that they won a regional competition in 2014, the so-called ABA League, but that is not much in comparison with the then Cibona that used to raven the European basketball. The research was conducted in July 2020 and the used method was in-depth interview. Much has changed since the ‘80s generation – Cibona, truth be told, is not as competitive as it used to be. Regarding the financial plan, it is still well-positioned, although much more is expected from Croatian basketball clubs. This is the aim of the research, to find out why has the Croatian basketball fallen so low, why Cibona is no longer among the European clubs, and what is needed in order for it to accomplish the big comeback to the basketball scene. Cedevita, which played the Euroleague for a while, was here as well, but basketball fans could not connect with the team owned by Emilio Tedeschi, which is why the team then moved to Slovenia. Can the Wolves from Tuškanac in a similar way take over Cedevita’s model and return to their former glory?

Cilj ovoga rada dati je dublji uvid u stanje hrvatske muške, seniorske košarke. Ispitivanje je provedeno metodom dubinskog intervjua u razdoblju od veljače do svibnja 2019. godine. Ispitanici su bili hrvatski košarkaši od kojih je svaki barem jednom bio izbornik seniorske momčadi hrvatske košarkaške reprezentacije. Iznimka su Damir Rajković i Vladimir Anzulović koji su izbornici mlađih kategorija nacionalne vrste, ali su uklopljeni u istraživanje zbog respektabilnih rezultata. Hrvatska je košarka trenutno u osrednjem stanju te se suočava s neodlaskom na Svjetsko prvenstvo u Kini 2020. godine. Republika Hrvatska nema na pravilan način razrađen prani okvir, definiranu klasifikaciju sporta ili razrađen sustav sufinanciranja koji bi pomogao u razvoju košarke u Hrvatskoj. Kao temelj pozitivnog razvoja hrvatske košarke navodi se zainteresiranost mladih te perspektivni kadeti kojima je potrebno dodijeliti educirane trenere kako bi se talent pretvorio u stvarnu igračku kvalitetu u seniorskom uzrastu., The aim of this paper is to provide a deeper insight into the state of Croatian male, senior basketball. The empirical part was done from February to May 2019. and the research participants are mostly former and current coaches of the basketball team and former basketball players themselves and also Croatian Basketball Federation staff. Croatia's basketball is in the middle of nowhere, and is facing the newest fact – that the men's national team isn't going to the World Championship in China in 2020. The Republic of Croatia has not properly developed a framework, a defined sport classification or an elaborated co-financing system that would help develop basketball in Croatia. As a basis for the positive development of Croatian basketball, the interest of young people and prospective cadets, Croatia needs to provide educated trainers in order to turn talent into realistic quality at senior age.

Motivacija za pisanje ovoga rada je želja za prikupljanjem, vrednovanjem, organiziranjem i objavljivanjem sadržaja koji će dati pregled područja te koristiti stručnoj i znanstvenoj zajednici u daljnjemu radu. Građa za bibliografiju radova s područja košarke objavljenih u Hrvatskoj do 2019. : znanstveni i stručni članci se bavi znanstvenim i stručnim člancima kao rezultatima stručnog i znanstveno-istraživačkog rada na području košarkaške igre u Hrvatskoj od početaka zabilježenih sustavnih istraživanja 1970-tih zaključno s 2018. godinom. Uvodna poglavlja daju sažeti pregled osnova bibliografije i košarkaške igre. Bibliografski popis donosi isključivo kategorizirane znanstvene i stručne radove u dva niza: Znanstveni i stručni članci u časopisima i Znanstveni i stručni radovi u zbornicima sa skupova, s ukupno 384 bibliografske jedinice. Zapisi sadrže osnovne elemente bibliografskog opisa, redani su kronološki, a unutar godišta abecedno prema autorskoj odrednici. Pomoć u pristupu i pretraživanju popisa osiguravaju tri kazala: kazalo autora, predmetno kazalo i kazalo časopisa. Izvori za sastavljanje bibliografije su većinom sekundarni što ostavlja mjesta za daljnja istraživanja i dopunjavanja. Stručna i znanstvena istraživanja košarkaške igre u Hrvatskoj posebno su se intenzivirala nakon osamostaljenja države te su danas sustavna, interdisciplinarna i relativno opsežna. Ova bibliografija je doprinos uređivanju i organiziranju informacija s ovoga područja što bi trebalo olakšati pristup bibliografskim izvorima u budućem znanstveno-istraživačkom radu. Vjerujem da će ona biti sastavni dio moga autorskog projekta cjelovitog popisivanja raznolike bibliografske građe objavljene u Hrvatskoj s temom košarkaške igre koji će biti objavljen uskoro. The motivation for writing this paper is based upon a desire to collect, evaluate, organize and publish content providing an overview of the scope, eventually being used by the field of expert and scientific community in their further works. Materials for the Bibliography of Papers in the Field of Basketball Published in Croatia by 2019 : scientific and expert articles is dealing with the mentioned content as a result of a previous research work in the field of basketball in Croatia dating back from the beginning of the systematic researches in the 1970's until 2019. The introductory chapters present a summary overview of the basics of bibliography, as well as the basics of basketball as a sport. The bibliographic list provides only categorized scientific and expert papers presented in two series: Scientific and Expert Articles in Journals and Scientific and Expert Papers in Proceedings (contenting the total of 384 bibliographic records). The records contain the basic elements of the bibliographic description, they are chronologically lined up within the year alphabetically according to the author headings. Access and search help provide three indexes: an author index, a subject index and a journal index. Bibliography sources are mostly ones of secondary nature, leaving space for further research and supplementation. Expert and scientific research of basketball in Croatia have intensified especially after the independence in the 1990's and become systematic, interdisciplinary and relatively extensive today. This bibliography is a contribution to the editing and organiziting information from this scope which should facilitate access to bibliographic sources in future scientific research work. I believe it will be an integral part of my authoring project which includes comprehensive bibliography of a various materials published in Croatia on the subject of basketball to be released shortly.

Sports sponsorship is one of the fastest growing forms of marketing communication and as such it is extremely attractive to many companies looking for a more efficient way of attracting customers. The article presents a theoretical review of literature, from sports marketing and sponsorship in a broader sense to sports sponsorship, its main forms as well as the positive and negative aspects related to it. It presents an overview of the status of sports sponsorship in the Republic of Croatia and its development after the economic crisis. What is emphasized in this article is the research of sponsorship in sports on the example of Croatian basketball clubs, which examines how much do clubs invest in their marketing and what are their strategies in the process of attracting sponsors. The research was conducted on Croatian male first-league basketball clubs, showing that they do not have the appropriate strategy when looking for sponsorships, or they do not address the issue appropriately.
