The article presents the results of a theoretical and empirical study of the phenomenon of "first love" of youth. The relevance of the research topic is dictated by the social and practical significance of the influence of the first love of youth on the regulation of the legal behavior of an individual. The work highlights the approbation and results of the developed author's questionnaire "Outlook features of behavior and feelings of first love in the period of youth". According to the author's developed questionnaire, the results of the analysis of respondents from Kyiv, Zhytomyr, and Dnipropetrovsk regions of Ukraine are presented. The connection of the imprinted model of behavior in first love with the subsequent style of family and marital relations is asserted. It is emphasized that the mental reality of the first love in youth is settled by a deep experience between sexual relations, ethical and aesthetic criteria, which significantly affects the choice of a marriage partner, and therefore the formation of legal (legally significant) behavior in the family, family, everyday life. Mechanisms of psychological protection that pose a risk to the physical, mental, and psychological well-being of an individual are identified. Pay attention to the peculiarities of the victim behavior of youth. It was concluded that the experience of an unrequited, treacherous, abandoned first love leaves wounds in the depths of the psyche and provokes the development of low self-esteem, feelings of inferiority, which are reflected in unbearable suffering and pain in subsequent romantic relationships between the sexes. In connection with this, the role of ethical, moral, and legal education of youth, aimed at analyzing the holistic perception of the reality of first love and preventing possible deformations and crises, increases. The obtained results of the research can be used in: - scientific research field - for further scientific research of legal behavior; - educational activities - for the preparation and conducting of lectures, seminars and practical classes and during the writing of textbooks, training manuals on the educational disciplines "Legal Psychology"; "Personality psychology", "Preventive psychology", "Family law", "Prevention and countermeasures against domestic violence". The provisions of this study can also be used during the development of targeted legal education programs and trainings. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
The basal ganglia (BG) show a variety of functions for motor and cognition. There are two competitive pathways in the BG; direct pathway (DP) which facilitates movement and indirect pathway (IP) which suppresses movement. It is well known that diverse functions of the BG may be made through "balance" between DP and IP. But, to the best of our knowledge, so far no quantitative analysis for such balance was done. In this paper, as a first time, we introduce the competition degree C d between DP and IP. Then, by employing C d , we quantify their competitive harmony (i.e., competition and cooperative interplay), which could lead to improving our understanding of the traditional "balance" so clearly and quantitatively. We first consider the case of normal dopamine (DA) level of ϕ ∗ = 0.3 . In the case of phasic cortical input (10 Hz), a healthy state with C d ∗ = 2.82 (i.e., DP is 2.82 times stronger than IP) appears. In this case, normal movement occurs via harmony between DP and IP. Next, we consider the case of decreased DA level, ϕ = ϕ ∗ (= 0.3) x DA ( 1 > x DA ≥ 0 ). With decreasing x DA from 1, the competition degree C d between DP and IP decreases monotonically from C d ∗ , which results in appearance of a pathological Parkinsonian state with reduced C d . In this Parkinsonian state, strength of IP is much increased than that in the case of normal healthy state, leading to disharmony between DP and IP. Due to such break-up of harmony between DP and IP, impaired movement occurs. Finally, we also study treatment of the pathological Parkinsonian state via recovery of harmony between DP and IP. Harmony is a crucial value for resolving conflicts. Discussions on harmony in the
Zhuangzi primarily focus on harmonizing ‘right and wrong’ (shifei 是非). However, it represents only a superficial understanding of Zhuangzian harmony. To explore a fundamental form of harmony would be beneficial: harmonizing ‘virtuosities’ (de 德), which can prevent conflicts and avoid domination. This paper begins by illustrating the discombobulated (zhili 支离) characteristic of virtuosities in theZhuangzi . By comparison with harmonizing virtues inFive Conducts , we can better understand the distinctive characteristic of harmonizing virtuositiesin theZhuangzi . Moreover, a metaphor of perfectly still water suggests that in this process, virtuosities can be internally preserved and externally unshaken. This suggests to maintain one’s own virtuosities in the transformations of eventsand avoidacquiring specific names or reputations that can lead to interpersonal conflicts and domination. These two characteristics can fundamentally avoid disputes over ‘right and wrong’. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]- Published

HARMONY in music , *CHORDS (Music theory) , *AUDITORY perception , *RACIAL inequality , *SIGNAL processing - Abstract
Music is based on various regularities, ranging from the repetition of physical sounds to theoretically organized harmony and counterpoint. How are multidimensional regularities processed when we listen to music? The present study focuses on the redundant signals effect (RSE) as a novel approach to untangling the relationship between these regularities in music. The RSE refers to the occurrence of a shorter reaction time (RT) when two or three signals are presented simultaneously than when only one of these signals is presented, and provides evidence that these signals are processed concurrently. In two experiments, chords that deviated from tonal (harmonic) and acoustic (intensity and timbre) regularities were presented occasionally in the final position of short chord sequences. The participants were asked to detect all deviant chords while withholding their responses to non-deviant chords (i.e., the Go/NoGo task). RSEs were observed in all double- and triple-deviant combinations, reflecting processing of multidimensional regularities. Further analyses suggested evidence of coactivation by separate perceptual modules in the combination of tonal and acoustic deviants, but not in the combination of two acoustic deviants. These results imply that tonal and acoustic regularities are different enough to be processed as two discrete pieces of information. Examining the underlying process of RSE may elucidate the relationship between multidimensional regularity processing in music. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

HARMONY in music , *CHORDS (Music theory) , *MUSIC education , *ABSOLUTE pitch , *SPACE perception - Abstract
Different theories have been proposed to explain the perception of a root in a pitch set, with Terhardt's (1984) virtual pitch theory being the one generally considered most plausible, despite none of them having been confirmed empirically. Understanding the perceived root phenomenon is an essential component in explaining the origin of the major and minor triads as the most fundamental chords in twelve-tone equal temperament or 5-limit just intonation, as well as in proposing new chords for new tunings. This music perception study, in which 42 participants rated chords in 10 different tunings, empirically establishes harmonic dualism, negative harmony, and Barlow's harmonicity as the key factors for the perception of the harmonic root and the origin of the major and minor triads, and proposes a model as a basis for a tuning-agnostic—trans-spatial—music theory. INTEREST during construction ,WEALTH distribution ,CONFLICT management - Abstract
This article explores the relationship between labor and capital interests through the lens of Frederick Winslow Taylor's scientific management theory and Georgian legal frameworks. It examines how harmonizing these interests can address organizational conflicts and enhance labor efficiency and capital growth. The concept of "interest" plays a critical role in this analysis. In a broader sense, interest reflects an individual's motivation and engagement with various subjects, shaped by their legal, social and economic context. Interest pertains to production relationships and the distribution of resources, influencing how labor and capital interact within a corporate setting. Optimizing work processes can align employee and employer goals, fostering a more equitable distribution of wealth. The analysis highlights the role of interest in legal contexts and the importance of compliance in managing conflicts. Organizations can improve governance and achieve a balanced, productive work environment by integrating scientific management with fiduciary duties and ethical practices. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract Quantitative assessment of the water use balance between economic society and ecology (EEWB) is the basis for coordinating the competitive relationship of water use between human activity and ecological requirements and. It is of great significance for optimizing the water resources carrying capacity and achieving a healthy regional water balance. Based on the concept of harmonious balance, this paper puts forward the definition and connotation of EEWB regarding the competition in water use between economic society and ecology. And, a novel framework for assessing the EEWB is proposed. It has four aspects relating to water resources, economic society, ecology, and human-water relationship. Linked to these aspects the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) technique, Water Ecological Footprint (WEF) model, InVEST model and indicators system of human-water relationship are used to establish a water resources efficiency index (IEEWB-W), economic society high-quality development index (IEEWB-ES), ecology health index (IEEWB-E), harmony index of human-water relationship (IEEWB-H). The four indices were then integrated into the water use balance between economic society and ecology index (IEEWB) with Euclidean distance, thus forming the EEWB quantification method system. Finally, the temporal and spatial characteristics of EEWB during 2010–2022 was diagnosed in Henan Province and cities of China. Results reveal that: (1) The water resources utilization efficiency exhibit a changing trend of initial decrease followed by subsequent increase; (2) Southern cities in Henan Province have a higher economic society development level compared to northern cities; (3) IEEWB-E in Henan Province is below 0.60, indicating that the regional ecology health remains consistently vulnerable; (4) IEEWB-H in Henan Province shows an increasing trend, indicating that a gradual improvement and overall upward development in the human-water relationship; (5) IEEWB multi-year average was within [0.53, 0.65] in Henan Province, indicating a state of Proximity imbalance. The low level of ecological health is the primary influencing factor. These findings will contribute to a better understanding of the water use balance between economic society and ecology and provide scientific reference for achieving a healthy regional water balance.

Archetypes, having both unique metaphysical and neurological underpinnings, are instrumental in forming the human experience of the external world. China, in particular, has demonstrated a rich historical tradition of cultivating and perpetuating Shan–shui aesthetics. Due to the inseparability of Shan–shui archetypes and Shan–shui landscapes, this research proposes that the Chinese population’s preference for such landscapes can be attributed to two factors. First, there is an innate biological affinity for nature to humans. Second, cultural influences establish a subconscious emotional connection to these landscapes. The study employs both qualitative and quantitative methodologies to analyze the contemporary Shan–shui landscapes in the Olympic Forest Park (artificial Shan–shui) and Yuji Island Park (natural Shan–shui). By examining questionnaires in line with biological and cultural principles, the statistical analysis results substantiate a strong preference for the Shan–shui landscape. Through correlation analysis, stepwise multiple regression, and factor analysis, it is demonstrated that, beyond satisfying biological selections, the Shan–shui landscape evokes emotional resonance due to its cultural proximity to the ideal environment shaped by the Shan–shui archetype. Therefore, this study posits that landscape preferences are significantly influenced by the archetype.

- Abstract
Drawing on Kant and Leibniz, this article coins the term stabilism, to refer to a particular philosophical tradition that emphasises order, stability and robustness within a political community. With the layer of transcendence and mysticism inherent in the arguments by Kant and Leibniz being stripped off, this notion offers a secularity-grounded conception of how human society may strive to establish harmony between and among individual beings. This article discusses how, in domestic politics, Confucius used social roles and status to argue for a harmonious, stable, and well-ordered society. Plato centred the core of his stabilist arguments on hierarchy, while in medieval European thought, the notion of pax et concordia also valorised this stabilism through their subscription to the notion of peace and concord. In international society of states, Rawls' notion of achieving order and stability through his extended version of justice, as well as Bell and Wang's prescription of two-dimensional reciprocity, has also offered us an illustration of how stabilism may manifest itself in international politics. In its final section, the article offers some possible critique on this notion of stabilism, where the implicit exclusion of contingency, luck or chance from the moral realm is discussed. Indonesia, characterized by its rich religious diversity, inevitably experiences variations in religious principles. Engaging in religious practices can sometimes lead to excessive fanaticism, resulting in conflicts and divisions within religious communities. To mitigate such challenges, fostering religious tolerance becomes crucial for promoting harmony. This qualitative research employs a library research method, analyzing secondary data sources to explore the concept of tolerance as interpreted by Muhammad Abduh, an Islamic theologian and reformist, in his work “Tafsir al-Manar.” Abduh’s interpretation aligns with Surah Al-Baqarah verse 256 from the Qur’an, emphasizing the importance of mutual respect and the freedom of belief without coercion. Given Indonesia’s context, where Islam is known for its openness, inclusivity, and problem-solving capabilities, studying and embracing the concept of tolerance from “Tafsir al-Manar” is highly relevant. The study concludes that Abduh’s perspectives on religious tolerance can significantly contribute to national harmony and the advancement of humanitarian values in Indonesia.

Man is a social being whose inter and intra-personal existence cannot be extricated from cohabiting with others within the society in which he finds himself. Man’s existence starts from fostering mutual relations with members of his immediate family and groups outside his family to members of the larger society/nation he identifies with as a citizen. Therefore, his belief in any creed or faith (religion) is a sign that man’s social contact within society reflects his exemplification of God, who is a just being. This paper adopted two methodological approaches- The functionalist approach emphasizes the contributions made by each component to the total and the interdependence between society’s constituent parts. The research attested that religion is often, and rightly, seen as a semi-autonomous social space that resembles others; it is also closely related to the economic structure of society. The second approach is a sociology of religion approach, which discusses religion within the framework of a particular people group as a human and cultural phenomenon. This article mainly focused on promoting peace in Nigeria, even during the building or consolidating of democratic institutions. In theoretical explanation, therefore, this paper expounds on how it makes a big difference in a society of peace and tranquillity and the workings of the democratic institutional framework. It is hoped that the leadership of our dear nation will be directed towards attaining peace and security across diverse Nigerian ethnic races or groups in such a way that religious tolerance will not breed hatred and enmity whatsoever to all citizens. Thus, development in whatever ramification is yearned for in this democratic dispensation would not be an illusion or wishful expectation but requires acceptance of everyone from all climes of life, race, creed, or ethnicity.

- Abstract
Green design refers to a design principle and method that comprehensively considers energy and resource conservation, emission reduction, and environmental impact during the product manufacturing and operation process in the product design stage. It strives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions throughout the entire product lifecycle. In the era of information networks, green design is supported by big data, AI network collaborative design, network detection and monitoring, etc. It involves selecting energy-saving processes, green and low-carbon materials, and optimizing product geometry design and surface treatment to achieve efficient resource utilization and minimize waste. For example, selecting environmentally friendly materials through networked intelligence, planning collaborative processing and efficient logistics support, and using reusable packaging are all essential elements of green design. Additionally, green design must support the full lifecycle management and maintenance of products, as well as waste recycling and disposal to promote the circular use of resources. The strategy of green design is crucial for building a green and low-carbon society because it helps reduce the damage to the natural ecological environment caused by human activities and promote harmony between human beings and nature. In this paper, we explore locative grounding harmony, according to which the location of the grounds mirrors the location of the grounded. We proceed in three stages. First, we clarify the notion of locative harmony and describe different locative harmony principles. Second, we offer two arguments for the claim that grounding between physically located entities obeys principles of locative harmony. Third, we consider and respond to a range of cases that seem to show that grounding relations between physically located entities do not obey such principles. We conclude that grounding between such entities obeys locative harmony. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose: Inspired by Kuan-Hsing Chen's "Asia as method," this study investigates a multicultural approach to education. Using East Asia as the frame of reference, this study explores multiculturalism in middle school classrooms in Chinese Taiwan. Design/Approach/Methods: Semistructured interviews were conducted with principals, administrators, and teachers at a middle school known for its diversity work. Data were coded based on the conceptual framework and emergent themes analyzed using NVivo. Findings: Findings elucidate the harmony-oriented multicultural approach adopted by administrators and teachers to empower the youth to embrace their ethnic heritage. This approach was characterized by three Confucian-influenced features: whole-person development, strengthening of the collective school unit, and a school decision-making approach prioritizing "fairness." Originality/Value: This study investigates the multicultural responses of teachers and schools to student diversity through a nondeficit lens in East Asia, revealing the harmony-oriented practices adopted in this respect. In addition to establishing a foundation for East Asian scholars to explore how teachers respond to student diversity in their respective contexts through an asset lens, the findings of this study advance our understanding of how to recognize differences and maintain social cohesion. - Abstract
This research is qualitative research with three objectives: 1) To study a principle and a theory of establishment of the religious harmony; 2) to assess and analyze a way of establishment of the religious harmony from the religious leaders in Thailand, and 3) to propose a new model of establishment of the harmony of religious diversity in 21st century. Its methodology is to collect information of the concept and theory of religious harmony from the spiritual and religious leaders from various religions and books, journals, theses, etc. from the religious scholars. Besides, questionnaires for interviewing are given to the key informants, then, their information is systematically criticized, analyzed systematically. The result of this research was found that: The principle and the concept of establishment of the religious harmony emphasize on acceptance of the differences of the people in society, giving a respect to the others who belong to different religions and treating each other with ethical codes, equality, justice, and love with loving kindness. As assessed from the religious leaders in Thailand in term of the establishment of religious harmony, it indicates that many sectors of the society such as government, religion play a vital role for driving the process of establishment of the religious harmony thereby cooperating with each other to drive the religious harmony and using the religious attitude of religious pluralism - attending different functions together and joining the hands to organize various activities for establishing the religious harmony. Having criticized and analyzed including synthesis of the information, it leads to establishment of a new model for the harmony of religious diversity in 21st century with three comprehensive approaches: Mutual understanding, cooperation, and contribution respectively. The article examines the application of the golden ratio to the suggestopedic methodology of Prof. Dr. Georgi Lozanov and the contribution of Prof. Dr. Evelina Gateva to the globalized artistic construction of the entire educational process. According to the research and application of the methodology, both during the existence of the Institute of Suggestology and Suggestopedia (1966-1991) and in its application today, the golden section, acting together with the other six laws of suggestopedia, supports the calm and full-fledged assimilation of a huge volume of material, which is stored in long-term memory and is used over time as full-fledged knowledge, and at the same time participates in revealing the potential reserves of the personality. The work of the teacher in the preparation for the learning process is fundamental—the coordination of all its constituent parts so as to offer the learners harmoniously arranged content, beauty, and ease in the learning process. GOLDEN ratio - Abstract
We propose an approach to tuning systems in which octave doubling ratio is replaced by a suitable algebraic unit τ, and note frequencies are proportional to a subset of the ring $ \mathbb {Z}[\tau ] $ Z [ τ ]. Then it is possible for many difference tones between notes in the tuning to also appear in the tuning. After outlining more general principles, we consider in detail some natural examples based on the golden ratio $ \phi =(1+\sqrt {5})/2 $ ϕ = (1 + 5) / 2 , limited by norm or by the number of digits in the greedy β-expansion. We discuss additive and multiplicative properties, implementation and composition using these tunings. The Online Supplement contains MIDI and websynths files to implement the tuning $ S_\beta ^5(\phi) $ S β 5 (ϕ) (based on β-expansions to $ \phi ^{-5} $ ϕ − 5 ) on websynths.com and a composition Three Places. - Abstract
Academic interest in well-being has blossomed, to the point that numerous forms of well-being have been proposed, covering myriad aspects of the person (e.g. mental, physical, social, spiritual) and of life more broadly (e.g. communal, economic, environmental). This proliferation of forms raises the question of how they might ideally interrelate, and whether there is some kind of overall well-being that draws them together. To that end, this paper argues that a zenith of ultimate or complete well-being would involve managing to
sustain well-being across numerous systems (i.e. configurations of different processes and entities), such that they are in balance and harmony. These systems include: (a) the various dimensions of the person; (b) self-and-other (c) people-and-environment; and (d) time. We suggest that attaining all these various forms of sustainable well-being constitutes an ideal of flourishing to which people and societies can and should aspire. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]- Published

30. Disruptive Emotions and Affective Injustice Within an African-Inspired Relational Ethics: What Has to Give?

Forms of African relational ethics that prioritise the value of harmony struggle to accommodate arguably valuable disharmony, such as disruptive emotions like anger. A wider literature on political emotions has defended the value of such emotions and even proposed that a particular form of injustice, affective injustice, can arise if we fail to create space for them. While it has recently been proposed that Thaddeus Metz's African-inspired relational moral theory can accommodate disruptive emotions and address affective injustice, in this philosophical article I argue that any success that Metz's account has in this regard is superficial. This critique has important implications: either we need to engage further with disruptive emotions and affective injustice within an African relational ethics, or it may be the case that we instead need to return to how we conceptualise affective injustice to ensure that it does the justice-promoting work that we want it to do. - Abstract
Western philosophy has established its major frameworks on conceptual pillars that allow the integration of the pure self into the values of truth and justice, while simultaneously trapping the ‘other’ in the quagmire of savagery and racism. This cycle, burdened with evil, has reached a level of moral exposure where even the poles of the Frankfurt School view the genocide being committed against the Palestinian people as a just and legitimate war. Faced with this tragedy, the departure of philosophy has become necessary in search of a geography that rebuilds the world according to fair universal values free from Western evil. Could the initiative taken by South Africa before the International Court of Justice for the sovereignty of universal justice be considered a signal falling within the framework of receiving philosophy over African lands?. Frédéric Chopin (1810-1849), one of the composers who reflected and created the spirit of the 'Romantic Period,' characterized by increased diversity in style, form, and expression, and the expansion of piano literature, crafted the musical texture in his pieces with a highly personal style, incorporating his unique harmony, flexible formal design, original use of expressive tools, and a free performance technique that didn't adhere to rigid patterns in rhythm and tempo. Chopin's distinctive style is particularly visible in the forms he chose for piano music. The flexible forms of his time allowed the composer to create a characteristic style by freely utilizing musical materials. Especially, forms like nocturnes, fantaisies-impromptus, and waltzes, which leave an impression of improvisation, small-scale, and rule-free structures, provided a clear space for the composer's expressive tools. Indeed, it is possible to identify Chopin's musical language, especially through his small-scale pieces. The purpose of this research is to analyze the melody construction, harmony, and rhythms of Frédéric Chopin (1810-1849), focusing on selected pieces to provide an interpretation of his musical language based on similarities found in these pieces. Samples from Chopin's literature, including Op. 27 No. 1, Op. 9 No. 2 and No. 20 Nocturnes, Op. 64 No. 2 Waltz, and Op. 66 Fantaisie-Impromptu, were taken for the study. The research employed a case study design within qualitative research methods, and the obtained data was described descriptively. In conclusion, it was found that Chopin's harmony encompasses a wide range from simple chord progressions to complex chords. He created simple yet bel canto melodies inspired by the 'Italian Opera' embellishments and used rhythms that prioritize the clarity of melody rather than a polyrhythmic approach. This study is believed to contribute to listening and playing practices due to its exploration of the musical materials in the Turkish literature related to Chopin. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

SOCIAL development ,SOCIAL contact ,RELIGION ,CITIZENSHIP ,ECONOMIC structure - Abstract
Man is a social being whose inter and intra-personal existence cannot be extricated from cohabiting with others within the society in which he finds himself. Man's existence starts from fostering mutual relations with members of his immediate family and groups outside his family to members of the larger society/nation he identifies with as a citizen. Therefore, his belief in any creed or faith (religion) is a sign that man's social contact within society reflects his exemplification of God, who is a just being. This article mainly focused on promoting peace in Nigeria, even during the building or consolidating of democratic institutions. This paper adopted two methodological approaches - The functionalist approach emphasizes the contributions made by each component to the total and the interdependence between society's constituent parts. The research attested that religion is often, and rightly, seen as a semi-autonomous social space that resembles others; it is also closely related to the economic structure of society. The second approach is a sociology of religion approach, which discusses religion within the framework of a particular people group as a human and cultural phenomenon. DOMESTIC tourism ,SUSTAINABLE tourism ,TOURISM ,FEDERAL government ,SUSTAINABLE development - Abstract
This article examines the harmony or suitability between the National Tourism Strategic Area Document (KSPN) and the Tourism Master Plan (RIP). The successful development of the tourism industry in development is required to have a common perception between the central government and local governments. The author pays special attention to these two documents for comparison and validation. This study aims to determine harmony, suitability, and similarity to obtain results to be concluded as recommendations. Literature study research with a qualitative approach uses a two-phase research design with preliminary studies and case studies. The results of this study indicate that the harmony and suitability of KSPN and RIP are harmonious and appropriate, but several indicators must be explained so that a common perception can be formed. Furthermore, the research results can be used by the central and regional governments in developing tourism areas with the spirit of sustainable tourism development. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
