Hemangioma can be misdiagnosed. In our case the lesion was suggestive of a melanoma of the leg in a young patient. Indeed, the location of hemangioma in the limb is extremely rare and the and the literature most often reports the location of the upper limb. The largest hemangioma described was 10 cm in diameter In our patient, the size was 5.5x5 cm which makes our case interesting. In our case, the appearance, location and evolutionary history of the lesion were mistaken for a melanoma. Cavernous hemangioma is a rare, malformation that is difficult to diagnose. It is most of deep localization, namely the nervous system, the bone and the muscle. We report a case of a giant hemangioma of the leg mimicking a melanoma. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
