The diploma thesis Piarists and Lipník (1634-1884) - religious clerics and their influence on the city deals with the order of Piarists from their arrival in Lipník in 1634 until their departure in 1884. The introductory part presents the city of Lipník nad Bečvou, to which the order of Piarists was called . Many historical events took place in Lipník nad Bečvou, which ultimately led to the important step of calling the order of Piarists. In the next part, the diploma thesis discusses the Piarist order, its beginnings, structure and important personalities, describes the college, the church and the novitiate, which was part of the monastery house. I also support the information with foundation documents or other sources. I tried to outline how we remember Piarists nowadays. The thesis also includes a comparison of photos of the church and the dormitory from the 20th and 21st centuries. We have also preserved accounts and protocols for the rebuilding of the church, everything is part of my work. In the diploma thesis, you will also find a description of the events held in the last 20 years, which have a connection to the past of the order. The bachalor thesis focuses on the effects of formal nutrition education on the theoretical knowledge of learners and its subsequent application in their daily meal choices. It aims at students of a selected grammar school and a selected vocational school. The goal was to find out whether or not vocational school learners have better knowledge than grammar school learners and if their knowledge transfers into practice. The research sample of a questionnaire survey consisted of 199 students. According to its outcome, the knowledge of the topic proven by vocational school learners does not significantly differ from the knowledge of their grammar school counterparts. Despite the lack of formal nutrition education at the grammar school, it is the learners of the grammar school who have the better knowledge. The diploma thesis deals with the history of the grammar school in Litomyšl during the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. It outlines the establishment of the grammar school in Litomyšl and describes its development and transformation between 1939 and 1945 in the context of political, economic and social changes. It discusses the school education system during the protectorate period, the course of the school year and the newly established institutions (Board of Trustees for the Education of Youth in Bohemia and Moravia, Youth of the National Partnership), as well as about the leisure activities of the youth. It records changes in education focusing on some of the subjects (Czech, history, German). It also concentrates on students and teachers and their problems during the Nazi occupation. Last but not least, it mentions some of the specific names of the Grammar School in Litomyšl associated with the resistance, the second martial law and the persecution of Jews. In Slovenia, physics contents appear from kindergarten curricula onwards. The subject of Physics is taught in grades 8 and 9 of primary school and in grades 1, 2 and 3 of the gymnasium. If it is chosen as a subject of general matura exam, students learn it also in grade 4. The article presents the comparison of curricula for the subject of Physics in primary school and for the subject of Physics in gymnasium and answers to research questions regarding similarities between primary and general secondary curricula structure and the assessment of the gained learning objectives from the curricula on the national level.

This Bachelor thesis maps intercultural education (multicultural education) in the practice of selected secondary schools in České Budějovice. The thesis consists of two parts. The theoretical part defines the key terms (e.g. intercultural/multicultural, education), presents the evolution and an overview of key governmental documents and examples of projects aimed at the intercultural education in Czech Republic and abroad. In the practical part, the method of the implementation of the intercultural education is specified by the analysis of ŠVP (School Educational Programme) and websites of the target schools, a questionnaire survey and an interview.

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of syndrome of risk behaviour in adolescence. The theoretical part is focused on the definition of adolescence, the definition of the concept of risk behavior, and especially on individual areas of risk behavior in adolescence, specifically substance abuse, negative phenomena in the field of psychosocial development and risk behavior in the reproductive area. The bachelor thesis also includes risk and protective factors influencing the emergence of risky behavior and methods of prevention. The practical part of the bachelor thesis is based on questionnaires, for students from different types of secondary schools focused on the occurrence and form of risky behavior, when a quantitative evaluation is applied. This thesis, entitled A case study: the teaching of literature in genre-themed units at the ISCED 3 level in the context of an alternative study program, focuses on a, in our environment, non-traditional approach to teaching literature in high schools, based on a unique study program. The thesis consists of two parts - a theoretical part and an empirical part. The theoretical part includes the definition of the term "literary education" along with its insertion into the context of the educational plan outline for high schools. Furthermore, the definition of the term "alternative schooling" is given, and the terms that are subsequently used in the empirical part - reading and reading literacy, formative assessment, Content and Language Integrated Learning, and tandem teaching - are also defined. Title: Differences between the beginning and experienced teachers of Physical Education in a lesson preparation and motivation of students on the second stage of elementary schools and lower grades of high schools. Aims: The main aim of diploma thesis is to compare and describe differences between beginning and experienced teachers of Physical Education in the Czech Republic in the field of lesson preparation and student motivation. We were interested if there are any significant discrepancies or similarities between selected concepts. Methods: Data of the practical part were assembled by the method of empirical quantitative research in a form of a self-made questionnaire in which took part the teachers of Physical Education who teach on the second stage of elementary schools and lower grades of high schools in the Czech Republic. A condition for filling in was the length of pedagogical practice under five years or upon twenty years. 25 % of elementary schools and 25 % of high schools from each region were randomly asked. In total, 772 schools were addressed, we gathered 271 answers from respondents. Acquired data were elaborated and evaluated in the MS Excel programme. This diploma thesis describes practical activities and related topics during forced distant education due to COVID-19 pandemic. In the theoretical part of thesis, the distant education is defined. I also described some of its features, which includes absence of physical contact, use of communication platforms, synchrony and asynchrony form of lesson, need for some degree of independence and digital competence. Anonymous questionnaires were made to collect the data from students and their science subjects' teachers (biology, chemistry, and physics). The questions were with free answers, closed answers with choices or scale values. Respondents consisted of 543 students and 24 teachers from Prague and Central Bohemian Region. The answers were categorized and frequencies calculated. The values of numeric answers such as mean, median, minimum and maximum were measured. The relationship between data was analysed by Pearson's chi squared test of independence. This study shows that teachers used practical activities such as experiments, observation or creating something less in distance lessons, compared to their face to face lessons. The integration of modern technologies (ICT) into the educational process has recently been a world-wide trend that reflects the rapid development of these technologies, as well as the needs of the young generation. Digital literacy is not only an important skill, but also a requirement of the society today. The implementation of ICT in teaching then depends not only on material requirements, but, above all, on the digital competencies of teachers and pupils. This work, therefore, deals with the possibilities and opportunities that technology brings to the teaching of human biology at secondary schools in both the full-time and distance learning modes, and the views of students and teachers on its use. The mixed research, which involved 22 teachers and 110 pupilss, was conducted as semi-structured interviews and a questionnaire survey. The design of a teaching unit with ICT elements on a selected topic in the field of human biology, its implementation, and evaluation is also a part of this work.

Bachelor's thesis with the name "Relationship of grammar school students to media education and media literacy: case study of Grammar school Písek" is about media education at grammar school in Písek and the attitude of students towards it. The theoretical part is dealing with basic terms of a given issue, media education from research point of view, the development of media education in Europe and the current level of media education at Grammar school Písek. The practical part contains a case study with the authors research via semi-structured interviews with students at grammar school in Písek. Students of the second and third year are involved in the research because these students have media education at the moment or already had it in the previous year but currently learn partly of it in other subjects. The main aim was to find out, how students perceive media education, what is their relationship towards it and how they percieve it. In the end of this thesis the author evaluates opinions of students on media education and their relationship and approach to it.

Stručně bude také shrnut historický vývoj výuky fyzikálních laboratoří We aimed to present the results of the questionnaire survey carried out among 229 physics teachers of the grammar schools in the Czech Republic. The objective of the research was to analyse the state-of-the-art of the physics laboratories in the upper grade of Czech grammar schools and to reveal the corresponding attitudes of the physics teachers. Based on the results, recommendation toward the further development in the field will be given, Moreover, new suggestions for the particular lab exercises will be presented and the historical development of the physics labs will be briefly summarized.

The main purpose of the thesis Mediální výchova na gymnáziích pohledem českých a německých pedagogů is to compare the conditions, practice, and goals of media studies at high schools in Prague and Leipzig and provide inspiration for both sides through this comparison. The theoretical part focuses on the role of the teacher, introduces educational concepts, and describes the historical development of media education and mentions of it in official documents both in Germany and the Czech Republic. The practical section of the thesis is dedicated to the teachers and their concrete opinions and experience with media education collected with the help of a series of questionnaires and half-structured interviews.

The theses titled "The awareness of students of primary and secondary schools on the issue of eating disorders"is divided into two main parts - the theoretical and the practical. The theoretical part deals with the characteristics of individual disorders, epidemiology and the factors with influence on the emergence of disorders. Next the symptoms and effects of eating disorders in children and adolescents are described as is the treatment and the field of prevention. The practical part is then focused on the research of awareness of students of the problematics of eating disorders, with evaluation of the questionnaire survey. Besides the level of awareness of students, the subject of the research were the most common sources of information on the matter and the influence of the location of schools in the Czech Republic on the awareness. This master's thesis deals with competitiveness and solidarity among high school students. Students are required to have good results and achievements at school, which leads to competition among students to determine who is be the best. In addition, the class counts on cooperation and solidarity to function well as a group. These two phenomena can put pressure on students, and although they seem to be mutually exclusive, they are interconnected. This research focuses on these two elements in class relationships. I conducted qualitative semi- structured interviews. Due to the current pandemic situation, the interviews took place online. The main finding of the research is that competitiveness does not manifest itself in the usual way for students: it is not required by their surroundings, but they rather motivate themselves to compete with each other. Solidarity is reflected in how they work together and how they understand each other. For students it is important to have friendly relationships in the class, which makes them want to cooperate more (classmates with whom the students do not have such friendly relationships are not selected for cooperation to such an extent). The work is focused on desision-making about the next university studies and future profession of the students at grammar schools and maps the situation in our country and the situation in foreign countries, especially Europen, it is focused on comparison of posibilities of studies in the Czech Republic and in Europe.. The main objective of the exploration was to map the situation of the desision-making about future profession of the students of grammar schools. The partial objectives were to map the reasons that influence the most the desision-making about future profession, to discover the differences between students of four-year and more-year form of the schools and what is the proportion of the students who change their high school during their studies at grammar school and to find the proportion of the students who want to continue their stuies at university. Title: Attitudes and opinions of the adolescents at the age of 15 - 18 to the sport and movement activities Objectives: The establishment and comparaison of the opinions and attitudes to movement activities and sport in teenagers was the main objective of this thesis. PASA questionnaire focused on15 - 18 years old secondary schools students was applied. Methods: A method of the written interviewing using PASA questionnaire was used. This questionnaire was widespread some 15 years ago, yet we made a pre- testing sample and some questions were modified. By means of the PASA questionnaire we asked about opinions and attitudes of the adolescents concerning the movement acitivities and sport in light of the psycho-social, real movement and sport activities, of the exploitation of the available physical education and sport facilities etc. The research was effected at selected secondary schools in the Czech Republic. Results: The obtained data were statistically processed and the results are presented in the aggregate tables stating the statistically significant differencies between sex, age groups. The theoretical part of this diploma thesis provides a broader academic context for the research presented in the theoretical part and is concerned with the specifics of the writing assessment. It proposes reasons why writing should be assessed, describes methods of assessment and scoring, and also examines writing tests. At the end of the theoretical part, the presumed controlling idea, called the washback effect, which significantly influenced the course of the research in the practical part of the thesis, is presented. The practical part is divided into two parts. The first part focuses on the types of scoring ESL grammar school teachers employ for assessing grammar school pupils. The aim was to discover how many of them use analytical and/or multiple-trait scoring. It was revealed that analytical scoring the most used means of assessment. Title: Awareness and attitudes to volleyball at a grammar school in Prague 8. Objectives: The main aim of this work is to find out what awareness and attitudes have students of the last two years at a selected grammar school in Prague 8, as a city district with a large volleyball settlement. In addition, general knowledge of volleyball and knowledge of the rules of this sport are examined. To assume not so much interest in volleyball, the next goal is to find out what sport predominates over volleyball among student, if they are already involved in someone. One of the goals is a certain recommendation for clubs based in the given territory how to work with this issue. Methods: For this work the main method of research was the method of quantitative, more precisely written questioning. The questionnaire created solely for this work provided data that identified interest in sport as such, about volleyball and knowledge of this sport. Results: The results showed that most students at the selected grammar school in Prague 8 don't follow the events around volleyball very much, so they don't even know the volleyball surroundings. The bachelor thesis is focused on risk behaviour of secondary school students. The origins and consequences of this behaviour may vary and we may come across it more and more often. The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part is focused on literature dealing with this issue and also studying current researches. The practical part is my own research. The aim of this part was to establish whether the type of school, grammar school or vocational school, would affect the measure and variation of risk behaviour of secondary school students. Data collection in a form of a questionnaire was used in both types of the schools. As a result of the research, it became clear that there is no significant difference in risk behaviour at either of the schools.

The aim of the thesis is to describe and analyze the elements of communication by which teachers in practice try to make their teaching more effective. The author is monitor the variability of teacher communication with pupils in individual teaching hours depending on the given school classroom environment, the technical facilities of the classroom, the length of the teacher's practice and with regard to other variable phenomena and aspects related to this topic. The research itself is supported by semi-structured interviews with its participants, which illustrate the picture of the observed pedagogical situation. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical part, basic theoretical knowledge on the topic of communication is processed. First from a general point of view and then from a specific point of view - communication in the school (school environment) taking into account all possible variables that affect such communication. The goal of the diploma thesis was to find out how teachers realize project based education with the main focus on grammar school and biology teaching and also explore the influence of project based education on pupil's learning. Data were obtained by the method of semi -structured interviews, which were conducted with twelve teachers and fifty pupils at six grammar schools in three regions of the Czech Republic. The grounded theory method was used for data processing. Teacher's realization of project based education and the influence of project based education on pupil's learning are influenced by various aspects discussed in the thesis. This diploma thesis is focusing on the application of the French text analysis method in history teaching in the Czech Republic. The objective of this thesis is to introduce the French method not only theoretically, but also to create specific lessons based on it. The terminology uses the term method for the translation of the French term méthode. The basis for this thesis is mainly drown from the French history textbooks, the interviews with the teachers and the history lessons in French. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the introduction of history teaching in France, including the textbooks used at both primary and secondary schools. Furthermore, it presents the individual methods of working in history lessons according to the French method. In the practice part, this thesis presents the lessons prepared for history lessons in Czech, which were realized during the school year 2018/2019 at the bilingual section of the Jan Neruda Grammar School in Prague. This diploma thesis deals with the relations between mathematics and geography in teaching at grammar school at implemented curriculum level. In theoretical part it deals with conceptions of teaching which support connection of educational content of individual subjects as well as general possibilities for realization interdisciplinary relations of mathematics or geography. There are also concrete interdisciplinary relations between mathematics and geography presented and there are identified main reasons why the developing of connection berween the mentioned subjects is important. Problems of the realization interdisciplinary relations at teaching conducts a survey by halfstructured interview with mathematics teachers. The question is the following: What are the differences between the beginning teachers and the experienced ones? The aim of this diploma thesis is to map the importance of media education in general education and also to find out the way how pupils of the 2nd stage of elementary school and pupils of lower grade of multi-years grammar schools reflect the media education and at the same time to find out its benefit and usage in their real life. The theoretical part describes the basic knowledge that are connected with the theme of this work. The greatest emphasis is placed on the concept of media education in the Czech educational system. The practical part is focus on the results of the research which was made with the mentioned pupils. With the use of the interview with these pupils should be find out what is their opinion on the media education. Through their answers the author of this diploma thesis will try to outline if there is any difference in concept of media education between pupils of the elementary school and pupils of lower grade of multi-year grammar school. At the end of this work the author gives some suggestions for improvement and diversification of teaching media education that reacts on results found out in the research.

Analysis of Documents on Czech Political System Education (Bachelor thesis) Author: Jakub Černý Abstract: The bachelor thesis analyzes a Czech educational curriculum and text books on a Czech political system which are intended for secondary schools and grammar schools. The thesis wants to answer questions how these documents inform about the Czech political system and whether these documents keep a constitutional scheme and whether these documents can contribute to making misconceptions of the Czech political system.

Appropriate first aid should be one of the basic skills every citizen has. This obligation is based on the law of the Czech Republic. The European Resuscitation Council regularly publishes recommended procedures for resuscitation and first aid, called the Guidelines (currently "2015"). This document defines the correct procedures, that should be followed when providing or teaching first aid. Nonetheless, misconceptions often persist in the common population. This is often the case of outdates procedures, inaccuracies or myths that can significantly reduce the chance of convalescence of even endanger the life of the injured person. Teachers encounter pupils who require appropriate treatment of first aid. Therefore they should be trained in current first aid procedures and thus form a suitable focus group for this reaserch. This diploma thesis aimed to describe the extension of misconceptions in first aid and to find the most frequent sources involved in disseminating this information. This diploma thesis deals with the teaching of mathematics in Italian language in the bilingual Italian-Czech section of Grammar School Ústavní in Prague, the Czech Republic, where I have been teaching since 2012. The main aim of this work is to analyse and systematize the positives and negatives of the bilingual teaching of mathematics in this environment. The most important problems and challenges, a teacher has to deal with while teaching mathematics in Italian, the language different from pupils' mother tongue, are introduced in this work. All the used and illustrating examples are based on my own practical training of an Italian Math teacher and are taken within one school year. Moreover, these examples are supported by my own problem solving options. The thesis also contains reflections about results of the bilingual teaching of mathematics both in mathematical and linguistic terms. The topic of the thesis is the use of selected tasks, which I created in my bachelor thesis, in the mathematics teaching at grammar schools. These are problematic word problems from geometry curriculum with financial themes. The aim of the thesis is to find out the role of the word problems in pupils' motivation in teaching. The theoretical part describes the issue of motivation and pupil motivation for learning. I also deal with problem of word problems, their definition and typology. The practical part is focused on experiment with aim to find out the use of selected tasks in the mathe- matics teaching at grammar school. In the experiment, I primarily examined whether the tasks motivated pupils , how successful they were in solving and the influence of financial themes in selected tasks on the pupil's emotional state or his success in solving the task. I processed statistical data quantitatively and qualitatively. To collect statistical data, I used a questionnaire and observation. The evaluation of the experiment includes statistics on pupils' motivation to solve the tasks and pupils' success in solving the task.
