To respond more effectively to the current increasingly serious environmental problems, the boundary of corporate social responsibility is expanding. In this context, how to take green responsibility for each stakeholder has become a topic of concern for all sectors of society. However, there is still a gap in research on how green human resource management (GHRM) affects employees' household pro-environmental behavior (PEB) from a cross-domain work–family perspective to achieve CSR more comprehensively. Our study argues that companies can use GHRM across the work–family boundary to influence employees' household pro-environmental behaviors to achieve positive contributions to the social environment. Our study uses 310 questionnaires collected in southeastern China to conduct an empirical analysis and concludes that GHRM can positively shape green attitudes, help employees perceive green subjective norms, and develop green self-efficacy. Consistent with the findings of the Theory of Planned Behavior, individuals' green attitudes, green subjective norms, and green self-efficacy can effectively enhance individuals' household pro-environmental behavioral intentions, which in turn enables the prediction of individuals' household pro-environmental behaviors. In conclusion, our study extends the influence of GHRM to a wider range of non-work domains and points the way to the full realization of corporate social responsibility by companies. In addition, our study emphasizes that with the subtle cultivation of companies, individuals can become fans of green and low-carbon behaviors, and through the widespread implementation of pro-environmental behaviors, it can reach a virtuous circle of environmental protection as a whole. Given the global environmental issues, mindful leadership could be a new approach to help employees and organizations keep their inner capabilities of mindfulness and resilience in facing uncertainty and complexity. Building on social information processing theory, the present study theorized and tested the effect of mindful leadership on employee green behavior. Among the links proposed, green organizational identity and green self‐efficacy were utilized as mediating roles, and green human resource management (GHRM) was regarded as a moderator. A total of 291 sample data were collected from Southwestern China, and the research hypotheses were examined by a structural equation model. Results confirm the significant indirect effect between mindful leadership and employee green behavior through the mediating roles of green organizational identity and green self‐efficacy. GHRM moderates the relationship between mindful leadership and employee green organizational identity, green self‐efficacy, and green behavior. AbstractThis study assesses the impact of spiritual adherence on green innovative behavior in pilgrimage tourism contexts. From the notion of COR (conservation of resource) theory, the research examines how green self-efficacy and learning climate influence the relationship between spiritual adherence and green innovative behavior. The researcher gathered data from 362 pilgrims and then conducted a mediation and mediation–moderation path analysis as part of a two-step structural equation modeling approach. The results showed that spiritual adherence positively influenced green innovative behavior, and the association was partially mediated by green self-efficacy and moderated by perceived learning climate. To explain the tested hypotheses, this study used semi-structured interviews and media sources to supplement the quantitative results and further explore pilgrims’ experience with and engagement in green innovative behavior. This study extends our comprehension that how spirituality promotes green innovative behavior, thus contributing to the limited research on sustainability issues in emerging economies and tourism markets, including those in Africa. Employees' workplace green behavior is essential for achieving organizational competitive advantage, sustainable success, and natural environment protection. Despite significant progress in identifying predictors of employees' workplace green behavior, there is still a dearth of research to explore how green servant leadership triggers employees' workplace green behavior and its underlying mechanisms. Drawing on the overarching underpinnings of the social learning theory, we investigate the mediating role of employees' green self-efficacy and green work engagement and the moderating effect of employees' harmonious environmental passion. Systematic random sampling was introduced to gather data from 403 dyads (employees-supervisors) from 3-star and 4-star hotels in Pakistan and analyzed using a partial least squares structural equation modeling technique (PLS-SEM). Consistent with the hypotheses, the results reveal that green servant leadership positively affects employees' workplace green behavior, and this relationship is mediated by employees' green self-efficacy and green work engagement. Further, the influence of green servant leadership on employees' workplace green behavior is notably more substantial for employees with a high level of harmonious environmental passion. Climate change is one of the greatest global threats that has ecological, economic, social, and psychological consequences. Nowadays, young people are the target of political agenda since they represent potential future policymakers. Consequently, it is crucial to identify the psychological features that contribute to engagement of young people in climate change issue. This study aimed at identifying and describing different configurations of youth perceiving and experiencing climate change. A sample of 224 participants (61% females; Mage = 21.04, SD = 1.65) were involved in study. From a cluster analysis emerged three distinct profiles, Eco-Disengaged, Eco-Engaged/Oriented and Eco-Engaged/Disoriented, which differ in levels of climate change awareness, worry and anxiety. This study examines the reasons why Generation Z chooses to engage in green travel behavior (GTB). It investigates the role of environmental consciousness, environmental attitude, and green self‐efficacy in influencing GTB, using self‐determination theory (SDT) as a framework. The study uses survey data from a diverse group of Generation Z individuals to reveal insights into the factors that influence sustainable travel decisions. The findings emphasize the importance of key factors in driving GTB among Generation Z. Environmental consciousness is a key predictor of GTB, and it influences GTB through its mediating effect on environmental attitude. Green self‐efficacy also plays a significant moderating role, strengthening the relationship between environmental consciousness and GTB. By shedding light on the interplay of these motivational factors, the study makes theoretical contributions to the literature on sustainable travel behavior and SDT. These insights can help policymakers develop interventions that promote intrinsic motivation; nurture environmental values and empower Generation Z to be leaders in sustainable travel, shaping a greener and more responsible future of travel. Abstract Background Climate change is seriously affecting human survival and development, and the anxiety caused by it is becoming increasingly prominent. How to alleviate people’s climate change anxiety, improve the ecological environment, and promote the formation of green lifestyles among people, especially young people, is an important topic that deserves to be explored. This study examined the relationship between climate change anxiety and pro-environmental behaviors and the underlying psychological mechanism in the adolescents. Methods This study explored the crucial role of future self-continuity (FSC) between climate change anxiety (CCA) and pro-environmental behaviors (PEB) in adolescents and examined the moderating role of green self-efficacy (GSE). In this study, a total of 1,851 middle and high school students from five schools were selected for questionnaire survey. Results The results showed that (1) in both middle and high school grades, there was a significant negative correlation between climate change anxiety and pro-environmental behaviors; future self-continuity was significantly positively correlated with pro-environmental behaviors; green self-efficacy was negatively correlated with climate change anxiety and positively correlated with pro-environmental behaviors; (2) climate change anxiety negatively predicted pro-environmental behaviors, and compared with middle school grades, high school grade adolescents’ climate change anxiety was significantly predicted pro-environmental behaviors. Future self-continuity mediated the relationship between climate change anxiety and pro-environmental behaviors in both grades. (3) green self-efficacy moderated the second half of the pathway of the mediation model only in middle grades. Specifically in middle school, future self-continuity did not significantly predict pro-environmental behaviors at low green self-efficacy level, but positively predicted pro-environmental behaviors at high green self-efficacy level. In high school, future self-continuity did not significantly predict pro-environmental behaviors in either high or low green self-efficacy level. Conclusion This study suggests that there is a moderated mediation model between adolescents’ climate change anxiety and pro-environmental behaviors, with different mediating and moderating effects among adolescents in various grades. This is of great significance in alleviating climate anxiety among adolescents and cultivating their pro-environmental behaviors.

Sustainable environmental practices have constituted one of the numerous challenges bedeviling the process of sustainable development in the twenty first century. This tragedy makes it becomes highly pertinent to raise awareness as a mechanism for combatting environmental menace in a bid to mitigate dysfunctional consequences and one of the potent factors to assist in this regard is having the right leadership in place to steer the ship of instilling eco-friendly attitude and behaviour at work. The study was hinged on the transformational leadership theory and Resource-Based View (RBV) theory respectively. A sample size of one hundred and fifty respondents were selected using the convenience sampling technique and information were obtained through the survey method. The outcome of the study reflected that green-shared vision significantly affected employees' eco-affable behaviour and green self-efficacy has significant linkage with environmental attitude of the employees. The study concluded that leadership with green philosophies are positive forces for driving the developmental process of sustainable development. Thus, managements should foster an avenue for green oriented leaders to develop employees' competencies by instilling into them pro-environmental attitude and behaviours necessary for advancing sustainable development. The research aims to examine the role of green human resource management (GHRM) in the university's environmental performance. Furthermore, this research also focuses on the mediating effect of green commitment and pro-environmental behavior. It also aims to check how green self-efficacy moderates the relationship between green commitment and pro-environmental behavior. The paper opted for a quantitative design using the convenience sampling technique/approach by collecting the data through a structured questionnaire on 208 academic staff currently employed in the university. The data were collected from August until December 2021 on two campuses (Gujranwala, Jhelum) of the University of Punjab in Pakistan. The current study results give empirical insights that show how green human resource management practices lead to environmental performance at a greater level in a university setting. Study results proposed that change in behavior of employees through human resource management practices can ultimately affect the organization's environmental performance. Further results also demonstrate that green self-efficacy moderates the relationship between green commitment and pro-environmental behavior. This study highlights the role of the university staff's level of commitment and self-efficacy, which are beneficial for enhancing the university's environmental performance. The originality of this study fills the gap in how green commitment mediates the relationship of green human resource management and environmental performance further; it fulfills the gap of green self-efficacy that moderates the relationship of pro-environmental behavior and green commitment. Introduction: Green consumption plays a crucial role in mitigating environmental degradation. Governments and corporations are actively fostering the growth of green consumption. The escalating environmental issues have awakened consumers' environmental and competitive awareness, which significantly aids in increasing the probability of green food consumption. Methods: This study, based on the Self-Consistency Theory and the Theory of Planned Behavior, constructs a model to analyze the effects of consumer competitive and environmental awareness on green food purchase intentions. Data from 700 consumer surveys were examined through structural equation modeling. Results: Findings indicate that while consumer competitive awareness negatively impacts green self-efficacy and perceived control, environmental awareness has a positive effect. Green self-efficacy and perceived control both positively influence green food purchase intentions. Notably, competitive awareness has a more substantial negative impact on perceived control compared to green self-efficacy. In contrast, the positive influence of environmental awareness on green self- efficacy is stronger than on perceived control. Moreover, the effect of green self-efficacy on green food purchase intention is more pronounced than that of perceived control. Discussion: Strategies like enhancing media publicity, educational initiatives, and improving purchase convenience can increase consumer purchase intentions. Individuals can have an impact on ecosystem by purchasing eco-friendly items. However, there has been little research done on environmentally conscious consumers. The purpose of this study was to contribute to the extension of the theory of planned behavior by adding two new constructs: green altruism and green self-efficacy. We received 369 responses from millennials customers. The constructs were analyzed using structural equation modeling. The results supported the validity of green altruism and green self-efficacy as novel TPB constructs. The evolution of the hotel industry’s corporate environmental performance cannot be realized without employees acting in an environmentally friendly manner, such as low carbon behaviour. However, a thorough analysis of the factors influencing employees' low-carbon behaviour and hotels' corporate environmental performance has not yet been done. To overcome this literature gap and envision the social identity theory, this study evaluated how employees' green self-efficacy, environmental awareness, and perceived corporate environmental responsibility facilitate staff low carbon behaviour. Also, the study explored the moderation role of employees' moral reflectiveness. Through a purposive sampling technique, data was collected from 455 employees in the hotel industry in South Africa. The partial least squares structural equation model method examined the proposed hypothesis. The empirical findings revealed that: (1) employees' green self-efficacy, environmental awareness, and perceived corporate environmental responsibility positively influence their low carbon behaviour. (2) Employees' low carbon behaviour directly and positively affected hotels' corporate environmental performance. (3) The outcome supported the moderation effect of employees' moral reflectiveness on the linkage between green self-efficacy and low-carbon behaviour. The concept of green and sustainable has long been a global trend in consumerism. This study examines the mediating variables involved in the Theory of Planned Behavior (namely attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control) to explore their mediating relationship with green word-of-mouth intention and the impact on subsequent green product purchase behavior. The aim is to clarify the antecedents of green word-of-mouth intention and the establishment of mediating variables in order to construct a framework for understanding the influence of consumers green product purchase decisions using Google online surveys and traditional paper surveys and subsequently analyze them via statistical software SPSS 23.0. The results indicated significant relationships between environmental awareness, green advocacy, green self-efficacy, and green word-of-mouth intention. Furthermore, attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control were found to mediate a partial mediating relationship between the antecedent variables and green word-of-mouth intention. In the past few years, internet celebrities have become a new and important way to get people to buy energy-saving products. Their psychological mechanisms for promoting fans' intention to purchase have become the focus of academic attention, but a unified conclusion has yet to be reached. This study uses online communities as a scenario, with the characteristics of influencers' expertise, social attraction, and task attraction as antecedent variables and social cognitive theory and parasocial interaction theory as the theoretical basis to explore their influence on fans' intention to purchase household energy-saving products. The study investigates the mediating role of parasocial relationships and the moderating role of fans' green self-efficacy in influencing internet celebrities' expertise and attraction of fans' parasocial relationships. The results showed that the parasocial relationships formed between fans and influencers mediated the relationship between the expertise and attraction of influencers and fans' intention to purchase energy-saving products and that "green self-efficacy" positively moderated the parasocial relationships formed between fans and internet celebrities in terms of their expertise and task attraction. The sustainability framework has a strong influence on the policies, practices and procedures of companies. Green creativity plays a pivotal role in the development of initiatives and innovations for the environmental pillar of sustainability. Based on a survey applied to a Portuguese company with an accredited environmental management system (N = 146), the findings reveal that green creativity is influenced in different ways when analysed from distinct perspectives. The leader's green creativity is positively influenced by the subordinate's green self‐efficacy and personal identification with the leader, whereas the subordinate's green creativity is positively influenced by their green passion and green self‐efficacy, and the leaders' green creativity. This study shows that green creativity develops differentially according to distinct job positions and expectations that in practice must be complementary and synergistic for its effective development. Despite numerous evidence for the leader's role in facilitating employees' green behavior, few studies have delved into the intervening mechanisms of the trickle‐down effect transmitting green behavior from leaders to their subordinates. Drawing on social learning theory, we explicate a trickle‐down process for voluntary green behavior from leaders to subordinates through leaders' green role model influence and employees' green self‐efficacy, with leader gender as a moderator. Analysis of 70 leaders and 190 employees revealed that leaders' green role model influence and employees' green self‐efficacy sequentially mediated the relationship between voluntary green behavior of leaders and that of employees. Moreover, both the direct and indirect effects were moderated by leader gender: While the direct effect was stronger for male leaders, the sequential mediating effect was stronger for female leaders. Acquiring and using knowledge resources is essential for companies to implement green supply chain management. It can help companies understand market information, government policies, and customer needs, as well as help companies carry out technological innovation and product design and development to maintain their competitive advantages. This research develops a conceptual model based on the knowledge-based theory, as well as the mediating effect of green self-efficacy and the moderating effect of knowledge application. The research hypotheses are verified using data from 264 companies in 8 industries in central China. The results show that knowledge seeking and knowledge generation can prompt enterprises to implement green supply chain management (GSCM). Green self-efficacy plays a mediating role between knowledge seeking, knowledge generation and green supply chain management. Knowledge application has played a positive role in regulating the relationship between knowledge seeking and green self-efficacy, and between knowledge generation and green self-efficacy. By integrating the resource accumulation perspective and the Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) model, this research explores the impact mechanism of responsible leadership on employees' pro-environmental behaviors (EPB). We conducted a survey to collect data from 319 employees in Chinese companies in three waves. Our research found that responsible leadership had significantly positive effect on EPB; employees' perceived organizational support toward the environment (POS-E) and green self-efficacy played a serial multiple mediating role; meanwhile, employees' chronic regulatory focus moderated the relationship between responsible leadership and EPB, with promotion focus strengthening the relationship and prevention focus weakening the relationship. Our findings support the applicability of JD-R model in the field of EPB, enrich the theoretical research on responsible leadership and EPB, and also provide a practical basis for organizations to effectively stimulate EPB and promote sustainable development. Acquiring and using knowledge resources is essential for companies to implement green supply chain management and help companies understand market information, government policies and customer needs, and perform technological innovations and product design and development to maintain their competitive advantage. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of knowledge search and knowledge creation on green supply chain management with the moderating role of knowledge utilization and the mediating role of green self-efficacy. The present study was conducted among 135 companies in Yasuj industrial towns. The results show that knowledge search and knowledge production with path coefficients of 0.316 and 0.368 have a positive effect on green supply chain management and encourage companies to implement green supply chain management. Green self-efficacy plays a mediating role between knowledge seeking with a path coefficient of 0.175 and knowledge production with a path coefficient of 0.338 and green supply chain management. Also, knowledge production and application with path coefficients of 0.650 and 0.584 has a moderating role in the relationship between knowledge seeking and green self-efficacy.

The purpose of this paper was to examine the extent to which green HRM impacts the pro-environmental behavior of employees via the mediation of Green Entrepreneurship and the moderation of Green Self-Efficacy in the hospitality sector of Pakistan. Research design included questionnaires and the study setting was cross-sectional. Respondents of the study were 4 and 5-star hotel employees of Islamabad city of Pakistan. However, a 205-sample size was taken from the population to collect primary data for deriving results. Data were collected from 205 hotel employees, and there were no incomplete data. Using SEM through Smart PLS 3.2.7, finally, 205 responses were analyzed. The results of the analysis showed that GHRM positively impacts the pro-environmental behavior of employees. Results show that there is a significant mediation of Green Entrepreneurship and a significant moderation of Green Self-Efficacy, respectively. This study fulfills the gaps in literature and provides pioneering inputs as there is a lack of studies in green HRM field, especially in the hospitality sector of Pakistan. This study enhances the knowledge in the green HRM field. Besides, this study also contributes practically and provides various inputs to hospitality sectors that how effective environmental performance can be enhanced by effectively incorporating green practices in the HR policies of organizations. This study is significant as it contributes to both theory and practice by providing fresh insights on green HRM.

Given the severity of today's environmental issues, companies are increasingly making green concepts a key component of their operational strategies. As an essential complement to corporate environmental strategy, employees' green behavior has received attention from all sectors of society. Based on resource conservation theory, this study explores the formation mechanism of employees' green behaviors in enterprises starting from two green management tools: green human resource management (HRM) practices and green transformational leadership. Through two-stage questionnaire research, 296 sample data points were obtained, and the research hypotheses were tested by using linear regression analysis. The results showed that green HRM practices in enterprises enhance employees' green mindfulness and thus stimulate their green behaviors and that green transformational leadership and green self-efficacy play a positive moderating role in the above relationship. These results support the applicability of resource conservation theory in green management and suggest that green HRM practices and green transformational leadership can be used together in the process of green management. Mitigating environmental crises requires efforts to reduce carbon emission at every level and segment of an economy. In this respect, the energy sector is blamed for increasing greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) throughout the globe. Specifically, it was specified that electrical energy contributes to 35% of the world's GHG emissions. Without a doubt, the topics related to clean and green energies remained a part of academic discussion; however, a critical knowledge gap exists in most studies. That is, most of the prior literature focused only on the production side (supply side) of electrical energy, neglecting the consumption side (consumption at the level of individuals). Given that a significant amount of electricity has been consumed by the individuals in buildings (homes, offices, or others) for heating and cooling purposes, it is important to promote a target-specific (energy-specific) pro-environmental behavior (TSPEB) of individuals. However, such a debate did not receive any significant attention previously. Further, psychological factors such as employees' environmental commitment (EEC) and green self-efficacy (GSE) were identified as critical mediators to drive different employees' outcomes, but the mediating effect of EEC and GSE was not tested earlier to foster TSPEB in a CSR framework. The data for the current work were collected from employees of different hotels in a developing country by employing a survey strategy (n = 383). The structural equation modeling was used to analyze the data, which confirmed that hospitality employees' CSR perceptions could improve TSPEB. The statistical results also confirmed the significant mediating effects of EEC and GSE. The finding of this study will help the hospitality sector to improve its efforts for de-carbonization by improving the energy consumption behavior of employees as an outcome of CSR. In a world increasingly concerned with environmental sustainability, businesses recognize the pivotal role of employees in promoting green practices. Despite this recognition, evidence about employees' perceptions of green supervisor support and its mediators , moderators , and outcomes in the hospitality literature is scarce. Therefore, this study investigates the dynamic interplay between green supervisor support, green self-efficacy (GSF), green descriptive norms, green creativity, and green task performance (GTP) in Nigeria's burgeoning hospitality sector. The results of the structural equation modeling suggest that GSF and green creativity sequentially and partially mediate the link between green supervisor support and GTP. The results further suggest that green descriptive norms strengthen the positive linkage between green supervisor support and GSF, while green descriptive norms act as a moderator in the abovementioned sequential mediation process. In the past few years, internet celebrities have become a new and important way to get people to buy energy-saving products. Their psychological mechanisms for promoting fans’ intention to purchase have become the focus of academic attention, but a unified conclusion has yet to be reached. This study uses online communities as a scenario, with the characteristics of influencers’ expertise, social attraction, and task attraction as antecedent variables and social cognitive theory and parasocial interaction theory as the theoretical basis to explore their influence on fans’ intention to purchase household energy-saving products. The study investigates the mediating role of parasocial relationships and the moderating role of fans’ green self-efficacy in influencing internet celebrities’ expertise and attraction of fans’ parasocial relationships. The results showed that the parasocial relationships formed between fans and influencers mediated the relationship between the expertise and attraction of influencers and fans’ intention to purchase energy-saving products and that “green self-efficacy” positively moderated the parasocial relationships formed between fans and internet celebrities in terms of their expertise and task attraction. The moderating effect of “green self-efficacy” on the parasocial relationships between fans and internet celebrities was insignificant.

The primary notion of sustainable development is to maintain a promising future for the planet and the next generation by raising the awareness of sustainable development of people around the world. This study seeks to foster and enhance more sustainable behaviour in households, workplaces, schools, and higher educational institutions; previous research has placed increasing attention on the identification of factors of pro-environmental behaviour. Accordingly, this study aims to examine the elements influencing the pro-environmental behaviour of employees in the workplace. A survey was performed from January to February 2020 on 150 public employees of an organisation in Terengganu. Out of 150 employees, only 84 participated and had their responses collected by using convenience sampling. Smart PLS-SEM was used in analysing the relationships between the variables. The result of this study found that green lifestyles have a significant positive effect on pro-environmental behaviour. However, the impacts of environmental commitment, environmental consciousness, green self-efficacy, and green human resource management were insignificant. This study provides data that were developed using a cross-sectional design; the assessment of causality among the constructs was a risky process. Furthermore, the study collected data from a single source, namely the employees, which would enhance the relationships through common method bias. Employees' green-oriented behavior can produce positive outcomes for sustainability in all sectors. However, the granularity of how such behaviors can be promoted is limited in the literature. Therefore, research explaining the effect of policies pursued by organizations and the effect of leadership on employee green-oriented behavior can be useful. This study addresses this need by drawing upon Social Cognitive Theory to examine the association of green human resource management (GHRM) with green creativity (GC). In addition, we examine the mediation effect of green self-efficacy (GSE) and the moderation effect of green transformational leadership (GTL) to provide robust insights into how organizations can motivate employees to generate innovative solutions to environmental challenges. The model is tested by analyzing multi-wave and multi-source data collected from luxury resorts and hotels. The findings confirm a positive association of GHRM with GC as well as the mediation effect of GSE on the association of GHRM and GC. However, the moderated mediation influence of GTL on the indirect effect of GHRM on GC is not supported. Our findings can help tourism organizations boost employees' creativity, which, in turn, can support the use of green processes and help these organizations become better aligned with sustainable development goals. This study aims to determine the impact of certain environmental factors on the pro-environmental behaviour of students in Higher Education. A plethora of literature already exists on this subject; however, there is a significant gap in such research in the context of Pakistan's Higher Education Institutions. Along with that, the combination of the variables chosen for the research had yet to be studied in detail, especially in the context of Educational Institutions in Pakistan. The study analyzed the impact of environmental consciousness, green lifestyle, and green self-efficacy on university students' pro-environmental behaviour, with the mediating role of environmental commitment. Data was collected using a standardized questionnaire on a 372-person sample of university students using convenience sampling via web interface. The sample of 372 students, from both private and public higher educational institutions, was chosen from whom to collect data, develop analysis, and draw results for our findings. Multiple statistical techniques were applied through SPSS Statistics 21 to analyze the data, and these included correlation analysis, regression analysis, and exploratory factor analysis. The hypotheses were tested through the simple mediation model, using the Hayes Process. Our findings fill a gap in the research by demonstrating that individuals can indulge in green self-efficacy, a green lifestyle, and be environmentally conscious, which promotes their pro-environmental behaviour, when they are committed to the environment. Though coastal environments are recognized as important community resources, the post-disaster reconstruction phase, an artificial-oriented strategy for human security and coastal development, may degrade coastal landscapes and avert pro-environmental behaviors. However, the impact of these outcomes has been studied to a limited extent only. This study aimed to explore residents' pro-environmental behavior, green performance, and motivation for coastal green infrastructure (CGI) through the difference in high-low green self-efficacy (GSE). Survey data was used for a small rural community in Japan, where residents started the Camellia Forest Project as CGI after the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami (GEJET) under coastal artificial development. To examine the difference in high-low-GSE by participants' characteristics, environmental behaviors, and awareness, odds ratios (ORs) were calculated. The results showed that residents' characteristics – men, retirement age, second-generation household type, and mowing experience – were positively associated with high-GSE. People having high-GSE showed more effects on their coastal green management, Eco-DRR (OR: 6.04, 95% CI, 2.02–18.04), and social cohesion (OR: 6.27; 95% CI, 0.97–14.38) than those with low GSE in the post-disaster recovery process. Employees' pro‐environmental behavior serves as a cornerstone in realizing organizations' sustainability initiatives. Leadership plays a vital role in shaping and nurturing the desired employee behaviors. Building upon social learning and self‐determination theories, we developed and tested a research model that investigated the mediating role of employees' green intrinsic motivation and the moderating influence of their green self‐efficacy on the relationship between green servant leadership and pro‐environmental behavior. Data were collected in two waves from 323 pairs of employee‐manager working in Pakistan's energy sector and analyzed with partial least squares path modeling (PLS‐PM). The findings endorsed that green servant leadership influences pro‐environmental behavior through the mediating mechanism of green intrinsic motivation. Further, green self‐efficacy played an interactive role with green servant leadership in shaping pro‐environmental behavior. Encouraging green consumption has become a topic of immense interest in terms of Chinese dual carbon (carbon peaking and carbon neutrality) goals. We used impression and expectation management theories to examine the intermediate mechanism of how consumers' face consciousness formulates green consumption behavior, the mediating effect of green self-efficacy, and the moderating effect of media persuasion. We conducted this study in East China, collected data from 382 green consumers, and utilized hierarchical regression for data analysis. We concluded that (1) both dimensions of face consciousness (i.e., gaining face and avoiding losing face) helped escalate green consumption behavior; 2) consumers with high face consciousness have higher green consumption behavior than those with low face consciousness; (3) media persuasion increases consumers' green consumption behavior; and (4) media persuasion negatively moderates the association between face consciousness and green self-efficacy, which means that media persuasion can reduce consumer green self-efficacy with both dimensions of face consciousness. Therefore, electronic, and social media need to control the frequency and intensity of reporting environment-related negative news. The evolution of the hotel industry's corporate environmental performance cannot be realized without employees acting in an environmentally friendly manner, such as low carbon behaviour. However, a thorough analysis of the factors influencing employees' low-carbon behaviour and hotels' corporate environmental performance has not yet been done. To overcome this literature gap and envision the social identity theory, this study evaluated how employees' green self-efficacy, environmental awareness, and perceived corporate environmental responsibility facilitate staff low carbon behaviour. Also, the study explored the moderation role of employees' moral reflectiveness. Through a purposive sampling technique, data was collected from 455 employees in the hotel industry in South Africa. The partial least squares structural equation model method examined the proposed hypothesis. The empirical findings revealed that: (1) employees' green self-efficacy, environmental awareness, and perceived corporate environmental responsibility positively influence their low carbon behaviour. (2) Employees' low carbon behaviour directly and positively affected hotels' corporate environmental performance. (3) The outcome supported the moderation effect of employees' moral reflectiveness on the linkage between green self-efficacy and low-carbon behaviour. One of the primary issues of sustainable consumption is that many individuals are uncertain about the environmental impact of their consumption choices and, consequently, they are uncertain how to adjust their habits to consume more sustainably. Carbon footprint tracking apps (CFTAs) seek to address this information gap by continuously educating consumers on their carbon emissions. Since the effectiveness of CFTAs has not yet been investigated at all, the authors developed a CFTA to explore whether and how such applications help shape consumption behavior. Over several survey rounds, 216 participants used the application to log their consumption in four main consumption domains. The results indicate that the feedback given can help decrease carbon emissions by 23%. The impact varies by consumption category, ranging from a 12% reduction in mobility to a 35% reduction in household activities. Moreover, individual traits influence the effectiveness of CFTA usage: Perceived green self-efficacy amplifies the feedback's effect, whereas a strong green self-identity diminishes it. Based on these results, the authors guide practitioners and academics on how to employ CFTAs to foster and research sustainable consumer behavior, and the authors show how to account for inter-individual differences when endorsing such apps. Introduction: Green consumption plays a crucial role in mitigating environmental degradation. Governments and corporations are actively fostering the growth of green consumption. The escalating environmental issues have awakened consumers' environmental and competitive awareness, which significantly aids in increasing the probability of green food consumption., Methods: This study, based on the Self-Consistency Theory and the Theory of Planned Behavior, constructs a model to analyze the effects of consumer competitive and environmental awareness on green food purchase intentions. Data from 700 consumer surveys were examined through structural equation modeling., Results: Findings indicate that while consumer competitive awareness negatively impacts green self-efficacy and perceived control, environmental awareness has a positive effect. Green self-efficacy and perceived control both positively influence green food purchase intentions. Notably, competitive awareness has a more substantial negative impact on perceived control compared to green self-efficacy. In contrast, the positive influence of environmental awareness on green self-efficacy is stronger than on perceived control. Moreover, the effect of green self-efficacy on green food purchase intention is more pronounced than that of perceived control., Discussion: Strategies like enhancing media publicity, educational initiatives, and improving purchase convenience can increase consumer purchase intentions. Environmentally specific transformational leadership (ETFL) is a prominent stimulus of employees' green behaviour, but its mechanism continues to receive inadequate scholarly attention. A cultural self-representation lens was used as a basis for exploring the mediating role of employees' green self-concept (i.e. green self-identity and green self-efficacy) and the moderating role of employees' man–nature orientation in the relationship between ETFL and employees' green behaviour. To examine these hypotheses, a three-wave survey of 362 employees was conducted in Southern China. Results from hierarchical regressions supported the mediating effect via employees' green self-identity, and this effect is more salient when employees have a stronger man–nature orientation. These results suggest practical implications for shaping and employing ETFL to cultivate employees' green self-identity, thereby supporting their green behaviour, particularly for those with a stronger man–nature orientation. Because no previous literature discusses the determinants of green creativity, this study develops an original framework to fill the research gap. This study explores the influence of green shared vision on green creativity and investigates the mediation roles of green mindfulness and green self-efficacy. We apply structural equation modeling to test the hypotheses. The results demonstrate that green shared vision positively influences green mindfulness, green self-efficacy, and green creativity. Besides, this study indicates that the positive relationship between green shared vision and green creativity is partially mediated by the two mediators: green mindfulness and green self-efficacy. It means that green shared vision can not only directly affect green creativity positively, but also indirectly affect it positively via green mindfulness and green self-efficacy. The increasingly severe environmental situation has brought challenges to the world, and organizations are aware of the importance of environmental management and are committed to changing individuals' environmental behavior patterns. Based on the proactive motivation model, this study constructs a moderated multiple mediation model to explore the impact mechanism and boundary conditions between environmentally specific servant leadership (ESSL) and employees' workplace pro-environmental behaviors (WPB). This study examines 440 Chinese industrial sector employees, and the linear regression method test results show that: (1) ESSL significantly promotes employees' WPB. (2) Green self-efficacy (GSE), green organizational identity (GOI), and environmental passion (EP) act as multiple mediators between ESSL and employees' WPB. (3) Green shared vision (GSV) positively moderates the relationship between ESSL and employees' WPB. This study provides a new theoretical perspective on how ESSL affects employees' WPB, which is analyzed from three aspects: "can do", "reason to", and "energized to". This new mechanism reveals that leaders should transform their leadership style to that of environmental service, and focus on enhancing the employees' GSE, GOI, and EP. Moreover, ESSL should make copious use of green strategy tools, such as GSV, to realize the above mechanism.

By integrating the resource accumulation perspective and the Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) model, this research explores the impact mechanism of responsible leadership on employees' pro-environmental behaviors (EPB). We conducted a survey to collect data from 319 employees in Chinese companies in three waves. Our research found that responsible leadership had significantly positive effect on EPB; employees' perceived organizational support toward the environment (POS-E) and green self-efficacy played a serial multiple mediating role; meanwhile, employees' chronic regulatory focus moderated the relationship between responsible leadership and EPB, with promotion focus strengthening the relationship and prevention focus weakening the relationship. No prior literature explores the influence of green transformational leadership on green performance, thus, this study develops a novel research framework to fill the research gap. This study investigates the influence of green transformational leadership on green performance and discusses the mediation effects of green mindfulness and green self-efficacy by means of structural equation modeling (SEM). The results indicate that green transformational leadership positively influences green mindfulness, green self-efficacy, and green performance. Moreover, this study demonstrates that the positive relationship between green transformational leadership and green performance is partially mediated by the two mediators: green mindfulness and green self-efficacy. It means that green transformational leadership can not only directly affect green performance positively but also indirectly affect it positively through green mindfulness and green self-efficacy.
