Natural fuel resources are reducing which results in rise in the prices for petrol, diesel and LPG gas. Hence, some energy should be generated from renewable sources. Biomass energy or the Refuse Derived Fuels (RDF) has a lot of potential. In this paper, five biomasses i.e., fruit waste, news paper, used tea powder, sawdust and agricultural (yard) waste were used. The proportions of combinations are Fruit waste : sawdust - 4:1; Sawdust : News paper - 3:1; Used Tea powder : News paper- 3:1; Garden waste : fruit waste - 2:1 and only news paper. After the briquetting, samples were tested for heating values i.e. calorific value using bomb calorimeter. From the results of testing according to heat energy value, sample briquettes were ranked as fruit pulp and sawdust, newspaper only, used tea powder and news paper, sawdust and news paper and last fruit pulp & yard waste.
