In order to formulate an economical and safe pigging plan, an improved GM(1,1) model based on the transformation of function ln(x + c)(c ≥ 0) is proposed to find a more accurate prediction model of wax deposition thickness. Firstly, the feasibility of the improved GM(1,1) model based on function ln(x + c) transformation is proved by theoretical analysis. Secondly, the traditional GM(1,1) model and the improved GM(1,1) model are established by taking the indoor loop experiment and the field experiment data of wax deposition thickness in oil pipeline as examples, respectively, and the influence of c value on the fitting accuracy and prediction accuracy of wax deposition thickness is analyzed. The results show that the fitting accuracy and prediction accuracy of the improved GM(1,1) model are higher than those of the traditional GM(1,1) model; and the fitting accuracy increases with the increase of c value. The prediction accuracy increases greatly at first and then decreases slightly, and there is an optimal value of c, which makes the prediction accuracy reach the highest. Finally, in the practical application of the improved GM(1,1) model based on the function ln(x + c) transformation, the value of c should be reasonably selected in order to achieve the highest prediction accuracy. Under the background of rapid urbanization, promoting high-quality land use transformation is an important way to achieve sustainable and coordinated development of regions. The transformation of regional land use function is the inevitable result of rapid urbanization and one of the important characteristics of regional spatial function transformation and reconstruction. This study was based on the district and county scale and the dominant function of land use, and used synthetically index method, coupled coordination degree model, and geographically and temporally weighted regression model (GTWR). This paper analyzes the spatio-temporal evolution track and spatial equilibrium state of land use function transformation in the urban agglomeration around Poyang Lake under a long time series, divides the transition stage of each county and region, and reveals the driving mechanism of land use function transformation. The results show that: 1) From the perspective of temporal changes, the land use function index of the urban agglomeration around Poyang Lake increased from 0.20 to 0.55 during 2000-2020, with continuous optimization and improvement, but it was still at a medium and low level in general, showing staged characteristics and experiencing a development process of slow developm-rapid increase and slow growth. From the perspective of spatial distribution characteristics, the functional index gradually presents a spatial distribution pattern of high in the east and west, low in the east, showing a significant spatial difference. 2) The index of coordination degree of production-life -ecological function and production-life function continued to rise, while the other coupling degree and coordination degree index showed a trend of fluctuating development. The production-life function showed a low level and high coupling phenomenon from 2000 to 2010, and the life and ecological function lagged behind the development of production function from 2010 to 2015. The coupling coordination index showed a spatial distribution pattern of high in central and southwest, low in northeast and northwest, and the gap between regions and counties widened. The overall transformation is mainly low-quality, with the average number of districts and counties accounting for about 50%, but the number of districts and counties in the transition period and high-quality transformation has increased, and the quality of functional transformation has improved. The quality of land use function transformation in the central and western regions is obviously better than that in the northern and eastern regions. The high-quality transformation regions are mainly located along the Chang-jiu Economic Corridor and Xinyiping city cluster, while the eastern and northern regions are mostly low-quality transformation. 3) There are significant spatial differences in the driving effects of different influence factors. The positive driving effect of population density and urbanization level continued to increase, the negative driving effect of the proportion of secondary and tertiary industries increased, and the influence of per capita GDP, per capita fixed asset investment and per capita grain output tended to weaken. The Poyang Lake city cluster should implement differentiated development policies according to the transition stage of land use function of each district and county, make up for the development shortcomings of district and county, and enhance the coupling and coordination degree of functional systems. The research results can provide reference and decision-making basis for improving regional land use efficiency and promoting multi-functional cooperative development of land use. Although biofilm formation may promote growth, biofilms are not always beneficial to their hosts. The biofilm formation characteristics of Bacillus cereus WPySW2 and its changes at different temperatures were studied. Results show that B. cereus WPySW2 promoted the growth of Neoporphyra haitanensis (an economically cultivated seaweed) at 20 °C but accelerated algal rot at 28 °C. Thicker B. cereus WPySW2 biofilms covered the surface of N. haitanensis thalli at 28 °C, which hindered material exchange between the algae and surrounding environment, inhibited algal photosynthesis and respiration, and accelerated algal decay. Compared with planktonic bacteria, mature biofilm cells had lower energy consumption and metabolic levels. The biofilm metabolic characteristics of B. cereus WPySW2 changed significantly with temperature. High temperature accelerated biofilm maturation, which made it thicker and more stable, allowing the bacteria to easily adapt to environmental changes and obtain greater benefits from their host. High temperature did not affect the production or increased the abundance of toxic metabolites, indicating that the negative effects of B. cereus WPySW2 on algae were not caused by toxins. This study shows that increased temperature can transform a harmless bacterium into a detrimental one, demonstrating that temperature may change the ecological function of phycospheric bacteria by affecting their morphology and metabolism. Research has identified some sources of student difficulty in understanding the horizontal translation of a function. The present study presents and focuses on another source for the difficulties: student conceptions of symbols involved in the horizontal translation of the graph of a function. We explored which student conceptions of the symbols f, x, and y are problematic or supportive in finding the equation of the translated graph when a given graph of y = f(x) is translated −2 units horizontally. For example, student conceptions of x as a general label for any point on the x-axis or as an independent variable of only a given original function emerged as problematic, while a conception of x as an independent variable of a function to describe was supportive. It seemed crucial for students to recruit some background ideas about horizontal translation in order to activate the supportive conceptions of f, x, and y and make them powerful. Our study suggests that horizontal translation of the graph of a function provides an opportunity for students to reflect on their prior conceptions of f, x, and y and restructure the conceptions to be comprehensive. In View of the fact that the time response function obtained by fitting in the GM(1,1) model does not coincide with the measured cumulative curve, it is proposed to establish a plane rectangular coordinate system with the time and the cumulative deformation as the horizontal and vertical coordinates respectively. The time response function of the original model is longitudinally translated, and then the translated function is rotated around the point to construct a new time response function that is closer to the measured cumulative curve; substitute the corresponding abscissa and solve the nonlinear function, and then reduce and restore is the predicted value, and it is applied to other improved GM(1,1) models. Since reversible logic has promising applications in domains like low-power design and quantum computing, it is necessary to efficiently design high-performance reversible logic circuits. In this paper, in order to reduce the number of qubits while achieving low quantum cost, the Kronecker functional decision diagram (KFDD) based reversible circuit synthesis method is improved by using two strategies. One is to generate a locally optimal reversible cascade for each of the KFDD nodes by performing transformations on the function represented by a node and using a gate library consisting of NOT, CNOT, Toffoli gates and mixed-polarity Peres gates. This strategy helps reduce the quantum cost and the number of qubits. The other is to map KFDD nodes to their locally optimal reversible cascades level by level via breadth-first traversal of the KFDD. This strategy reduces the number of qubits by using the circuit line labeled by an input variable of the KFDD as the target line of a reversible gate. Comparison results are presented in tabular and graphical forms. Compared to the existing decision diagram based reversible circuit synthesis methods, the proposed method can reduce both the quantum cost and the number of qubits in many cases. Compared to other state-of-the-art synthesis methods for reversible circuits, the proposed method can achieve much lower quantum cost but still incurs a high number of qubits for many functions. However, it can achieve the minimum number of qubits for a few irreversible functions while achieving much lower quantum cost. In addition, the proposed method is very time efficient. • Locally optimal reversible cascades are generated for the KFDD nodes. • The circuit line labeled by an input variable of the KFDD is used as the target line of a reversible gate. • The proposed reversible circuit synthesis method is very time efficient. • Both the quantum cost and the number of qubits of the circuit synthesized from a KFDD are reduced in many cases. • For a few irreversible functions, the minimum number of qubits is achieved while achieving low quantum cost. Learning and teaching function transformation has a significant place since it provides new opportunities for learners to use, reflect and discover knowledge related to the concept of function. This study's main goals related to the importance of learning function transformation are to examine pre-service mathematics teachers' (PMTs) mental constructions of function transformation from APOS theory perspective and identify their concept images and concept definitions of function transformations. Two frameworks, APOS theory and concept images and concept definitions, were considered in this study. The qualitative study adopted case study design. The participants were three female PMTs. Clinical interview methodology was used to collect the main data. Data were analyzed based on the APOS framework, and the descriptive analysis method was used in the process. The results of the study present PMTs' mental constructions as well as to their concept images or definitions of function transformation. In this study it is found that PMTs had limited knowledge regarding function transformation, but their mental constructions were changed throughout the process and they partially overcame their difficulties related to the families of functions and related function concept images and definitions. Focusing on the prediction accuracy of interval grey numbers, the primary goal of this paper is to investigate novel grey prediction models to predict four typical kinds of interval grey numbers sequences respectively. The models used in this study can be briefly described as a combination of function transformation and Grey Model (GM) of interval grey numbers. According to different interval grey numbers sequences, the approaches can be applied to the upper bound and lower bound sequences of interval grey numbers or the kernel and measurement sequences of interval grey numbers. Finally, these new improved models have been verified by numerical examples and cases to demonstrate their validity and practicability. It proves these new models are not only applicable for increasingly high growth sequences where traditional grey models are not effective, but also control the enlargement of grey degrees of interval grey numbers which is very important for interval grey numbers 'forecasting. In this paper, we show how to construct various extensions of Shanks transformation for functions in a vector space. They are aimed at transforming a function tending slowly to its limit when the argument tends to infinity into another function with better convergence properties. Their expressions as ratio of determinants and recursive algorithms for their implementation are given. A simplified form of one of them is derived. The method combining the auxiliary equation, the function transformation and the variable separation solutions was proposed to construct the new 2-soliton and 2-period solutions to the arbitrary order nonlinear Camassa-Holm equation. Step 1, with 2 auxiliary equations, the function transformation and the variable separation solutions, the problem of solving the arbitrary order nonlinear Camassa-Holm equation was transformed to the problem of solving the nonlinear algebraic equations. Step 2, by means of symbolic computation system Mathematica, the solutions to the algebraic equations were obtained, and with the help of the relative conclusions on the auxiliary equation, the new 2-soliton and 2-period solutions were constructed. In order to improve fitting accuracy of grey forecasting model according to the function transformation theory and grey system modeling theory, DGM(1,1) model based on anti-cotangent function for a non-negative ascending sequence is built in this paper. And DGM(1,1) model based on variable speed translation anti-cotangent function transformation for a non-negative oscillating sequence is built in this paper. For a non-negative ascending sequence, it has been proved that the smooth ratio, stepwise ratio deviation, and stepwise ratio variance after the function transformation can be reduced effectively. The function transformation methods in this paper are used in setting up models for ascending and oscillating sequences and the calculation results of actual examples show that the function transformation proposed in this paper is valid to an extent. Land use/cover change caused by urbanization and industrialization had changed the function of land. In order to explore the evolution law of regional land function, taking Huanghua city, Hebei province as the research area, this paper first classified the land function and analyzed the spatial distribution characteristics and law of land function in 2008-2014 using geographic information system(GIS) and remote sensing(RS) data, and then the biological production function and the value of the ecological environment function were calculated using production capacity accounting model and net primary productivity model to reveal the evolution process of land function value. In the course of land function classification, based on the tree classification method, the two-level classification systems were adopted. According to the main function of land and the difference of land use pattern, the research area was divided into 6 functional categories and 21 functional subcategories. In order to show the result of land function classification, fully reflect the relationship between the various land functions within the region and reflect the land function type, combination and distribution law of the study area, the land distribution maps of Huanghua city in 2008 and 2014 were drawn respectively taking the leading principle as the basic principle. Then it output the function information in graphic mode. It could be seen through the comparison, the functional area of the biological production in the land function category increased most. It totally increased by 3648.8 hm2. It showed that in recent years Huanghua city used land development and consolidation, brick kiln reclamation, fertilization and irrigation, and salt and alkali elimination method. The other functions had improved. It had the ability to provide people with agricultural products. The land area of land biological production was significantly increased. The land area of the ecological environment function was reduced by 8238.3 hm2. In recent years, with the rapid development of regional economy, a large number of ecological and environmental function land changed to other functional land use, especially the tidal flat wetland and water area(a total change area of 6246 hm2), and the land with biological production function(3622.1hm2). The salt field was transformed to raw material supply function by 2124.96 hm2. Most of the rest was converted to the load bearing function. Load bearing capacity of the land area had increased by 2265.6 hm2. This paper took the biological production function and ecological environment function as an example. The change of function value was analyzed. Production capacity of agricultural land represented the size of the functional value of biological production. Main idea was that in the first place the crop yield per unit area and the corresponding agricultural land use index were established. Then the agricultural land classification unit use indices were substituted into the corresponding function equation. It could be calculated to achieve their yield per unit area. The classification unit of agricultural land could realize that the value of land biological production function was calculated from the yield per unit area yield multiplied by the corresponding area. Ecological service value represented ecological environment function. The value of ecosystem services was based on the spatial and meteorological data. Combining with the investigation of foreign trade, the net primary productivity and other models could calculate. By comparing the value of the function, it showed that the biological production function of cultivated lands and fields had been generally improved from 2008 to 2014; Except the unchanged "the other lands’ ecological environment function", the function values of other sub-functions decreased to different extents. Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to discuss the necessary condition of the relative error between continuous function transformation after inverse transformation and original sequence is not larger than the relative error between transformed sequence and its corresponding simulation sequence. Design/methodology/approach - First, explore the function transformation feature of after inverse transformation the relative error not enlarged, then combine this feature with the function transformation feature of not enlarge the class ratio dispersion, not reduce the smoothness which author have got, and obtain a kind of special transformation that not enlarge class ratio dispersion, not reduce the smoothness and after inverse transformation keep the relative not enlarged. Meanwhile, offer the concrete form of this special function type to monotone increasing continuous function transformation and monotone decreasing continuous function transformation, respectively, and study its properties. Findings - This paper finds the concise and important feature of monotonically increasing function transformation after inverse transformation whether the relative error enlarge or not is at first, the concise and important feature of monotonically decreasing function transformation after inverse transformation relative error not enlarged is. And find that the ideal function transformation which both reduces class ratio dispersion strictly and keeps error of inverse transformation not enlarged is non-exist for monotone increasing function transformation and monotone decreasing function transformation. Practical implications - Use the necessary condition given by this paper, it may use to judge whether function transformation can keep relative error of inverse transformation not enlarged by easy data calculation before build modeling, therefore, choose the best function transformation. These results tell the authors: the paper cannot treat any functions as the same that whether the relative error of inverse transformation will not enlarge (or not reduced), but the authors should divide them into two parts to discuss that it will be expanded in some range or be reduced in some range. It will affect the future direction of the research, not to find the function transform both satisfies the class ratio dispersion reduced and keep the relative error of inverse transformation not enlarged, but to study which kind of function transform will narrow class ratio dispersion in some range, after the modeling accuracy improvement, but after the inverse transformation the relative error enlarged, and at this time the simulation accuracy is still higher than the simulation accuracy of original data modeling directly. Which kind of function transform will expand class ratio dispersion in some range, after the modeling accuracy diminution, but after the inverse transformation the relative error not enlarged, and now the simulation accuracy is still higher than the simulation accuracy of original data modeling directly, too. Originality/value - Let peers no longer spend energy in seeking the function transformation which both reduce class ratio dispersion and keep relative error of inverse transformation not enlarged. At the same time, also remind peers that even if a function transformation reduces class ratio dispersion greatly, the data modeling accuracy improves a lot after transformation, but the error of inverse transformation is may quite large, still. Besides, even if function transformation increases class ratio dispersion, the data modeling accuracy is not good after transformation, the ideal situation after inverse transformation would occur, and the possibility cannot be excluded. In this study, novel pipelined architectures, optimised in terms of throughput and throughput/area factors, for the SHA‐512 cryptographic hash function, are proposed. To achieve this, algorithmic‐ and circuit‐level optimisation techniques such as loop unrolling, re‐timing, temporal pre‐computation, resource re‐ordering and pipeline are applied. All the techniques, except pipeline are applied in the function's transformation round. The pipeline was applied through the development of all the alternative pipelined architectures and implementation in several Xilinx FPGA families and they are evaluated in terms of frequency, area, throughput and throughput/area factors. Compared to the initial un‐optimised implementation of SHA‐512 function, the introduced five‐stage pipelined architecture improves the both the throughput and throughput/area factors by 123 and 61.5%, respectively. Furthermore, the proposed five‐stage pipelined architecture outperforms the existing ones both in throughput (3.4× up to 16.9×) and throughput/area (19.5% up to 6.9×) factors. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The development of economy and urbanization promotes the transformation of land use both in space and function. Most existing research perspectives focus only on the transformation of space or function, and analysis of the mutual feedback mechanism between space transformation and function transformation is not deep enough. Therefore, this study constructed a diagnostic method for land use space transformation and function transformation and explored the mutual feedback mechanism between space transformation and functional transformation. The purpose is to deepen the research of land system science, provide a new method for diagnosing the space transformation and function transformation of land use, and clarify the driving mechanism of space transformation on function transformation as well as the mutual feedback mechanism of both. The research results showed that: (1) From 1980 to 2000, the space transformation of land use in the Northern Shaanxi Plateau did not happen, but the degree of trade-off between functions increased, resulting in the occurrence of unsustainable function transformation; the Guanzhong Plain showed a sustainable space transformation during the study period, but the land use functions did not transform; the function transformation and space transformation of the Qinba Mountain area happened in the same direction, and both tended to be sustainable; (2) From 2000 to 2018, the space transformation and function transformation of the Northern Shaanxi Plateau were in opposite directions; the land use space in the Qinba Mountain area was in a state of fluctuation and had not undergone transition, but the land use functions were in an unsustainable transition state; and (3) The function transformation in Shaanxi Province was deeply affected by factors at the policy and cultural levels and the strengthening of its own anti-interference ability, resulting in different performances of space transformation in different regions in different periods. Therefore, Shaanxi Province should rationally plan land resources, coordinate the relationship between space transformation and function transformation, and offer positive feedback to function transformation through sustainable space transformation. Meanwhile, it is necessary to prudently determine the regional land use model according to regional differences.

Function transform can effectively improve the data smoothness. Based on the processing of the model data, it is proved that the sine function transform can effectively improve the data smoothness. And the application of this method to our country passenger traffic modeling shows that the model of this method has better precision than the GM (1,1) model precision which is built by logarithmic or power function transformation. The functions of materials are correlated with their shapes. Here, we propose a scheme of functional transformation of a polymeric film by changing the surface shape. After the preparation of straight shapes such as lines or rectangles on a substrate by conventional microfabrication methods, we transformed the shapes into laterally buckled or inversely tapered shapes. The change in surface shape induced stress dissipation or superomniphobic functions, which are difficult to obtain with straight shapes. To transform the shapes, we harnessed a method of swelling hydrogel shapes bonded to a substrate. We replicated the swollen shapes with functional materials by photopolymerization of liquid prepolymers filled within the cavities of the swollen hydrogel shapes. We investigated methods to hold water molecules within the hydrogel networks during photopolymerization by controlling the surface energy of the photocurable liquid prepolymer and removing air between the liquid prepolymer and the cavities for easy infiltration of the liquid prepolymer into the inversely tapered shapes. In studies of function transformation, participants initially are taught to match stimuli in the presence of a contextual cue, X; the stimuli to be matched bear some formal relation to each other, for example, a relation of opposition or difference. In a second phase, the participants are taught to match arbitrary stimuli (say, A and B) in the presence of X. In a final test, A often displays behavioral functions that differ from those of B, and can be predicted from the nature of the relation associated with X in the initial training phase. Here we report function-transformation effects in the absence of selection responses and of their reinforcers. In three experiments with college students, exposure to relations of difference or identity modified the responses given to later stimuli. In Experiment 1, responses to a test stimulus A varied depending on preexposure to pairs of colors that were distinct from A but exemplified relations of difference or identity. In Experiment 2, a stimulus A acquired distinct functions, depending on its previous pairing with a contextual cue X that had itself been paired with identity or difference among colors. Experiment 3 confirmed the results of Experiment 2 with a modified design.
