With the continuous innovation of UAV technology, composite honeycomb sandwich structures are used more and more in the fuselage structure of UAVs, and their anti-high-speed fragment impact performance has become a concern. In order to study the influence of fragments on the damage degree of composite honeycomb structures and analyze the damage difference of different initial velocity fragments on different composite honeycomb structures, based on the numerical simulation results of high-speed impact, the energy absorption characteristics of different honeycomb sandwich structures are analyzed, and the honeycomb structure with better energy absorption is selected for 24 impact experiments. The velocity range of fragment impact is 141–368 m/s. The typical damage of the upper core layer and the lower core layer in each structure is analyzed, and the energy absorption theory is used to compare the conditions of each group. The results show that ST-3-3 has the best energy absorption characteristics. Under different velocity impacts, the energy absorption per unit volume of the ST-3-3 structure reaches 521.6~659.6 × 103 J/m3, which is about 30.6% higher than that of the same design structure. The four groups of composite honeycomb sandwich structures designed in the experiment have obvious deformation in the process of impact, except that the deformation of the bottom skin of the ST-6-6-1 structure is not obvious, and the deformation of the other three groups is more obvious with the increase in structural resistance. This research shows that the reasonable arrangement of the structure and material of the composite honeycomb sandwich can better cope with the impact of high-speed fragments and reduce the damage to the structure. Conclusion: The findings reveal that while an excess of fragments can impede performance, using hybrid tokenization with high frequency fragments enhances results beyond the base SMILES tokenization. In order to scientifically evaluate the target damage effect of uncertain intersection between projectile and target confrontation game, this paper establishes a basic model of target damage in the intersection between projectile and target game, which is through the spatial relationship between the explosive position of the projectile and the target position and gives a calculation method of target damage evaluation. The study applies Nash equilibrium theory to analyze income-loss functions in an adversarial game model. According to the definition of the possibility degree of interval number in uncertain multi-attribute decision-making, we proposed a method of solving the Nash equilibrium value of the income matrix of both sides of the game, which is using the interval possibility degree. We used quantitative calculations to analyze game strategies and changes in target damage under different states, such as fragment numbers, velocities, and angles of hit in the confrontation game between projectile and target. Based on the Nash equilibrium value solution method of the particle swarm optimization algorithm, we quantitatively calculated the fitness change relationship between the projectile and the target under different strategy sets. Based on the actual projectile confrontation game test, we analyze the damage probability effects of two projectiles at different explosion positions and different rendezvous angle angles on the three cabins. The results show that in the same area, the intersection angle is smaller, the probability of target damage is greater, and the intersection distance is farther, the damage probability is smaller. Designing and developing inhibitors against the epigenetic target DNA methyltransferase (DNMT) is an attractive strategy in epigenetic drug discovery. DNMT1 is one of the epigenetic enzymes with significant clinical relevance. Structure-based de novo design is a drug discovery strategy that was used in combination with similarity searching to identify a novel DNMT inhibitor with a novel chemical scaffold and warrants further exploration. This study aimed to continue exploring the potential of de novo design to build epigenetic-focused libraries targeted toward DNMT1. Herein, we report the results of an in-depth and critical comparison of ligand- and structure-based de novo design of screening libraries focused on DNMT1. The recently published P.Oxy. 5577 bears such striking similarities to the Gospel of Mary that this article argues that it may be from the missing pages in which Mary recalls her vision of Jesus and their private conversation. By examining the shared themes of cosmology and eschatology, incarnation and divine goodness, baptism and salvation, Jesus appearing as and through the νοῦς , and the privileged role of Mary, this article argues that we see a continuous teaching from the beginning of the extant Coptic Gos. Mary, through the Greek fragments including P.Oxy. 5577, to the end of the gospel. Although P.Oxy. 5577 cannot definitively be identified as Gos. The Greek manuscript tradition transmits various fragments of works with the title Περὶ ποιητῶν, composed by both philosophers and grammarians from the Classical to the Imperial periods. The aim of this paper is to analyse these surviving fragments with a view to delineating the contents, forms, and characteristics of this type of literature. In the first part, I propose a survey of all authors and fragments of ancient Greek works On Poets. The second section outlines their literary-historical profile. Based on comparison with ancient works treating similar topics, I suggest a unitary reading of the writings Περὶ ποιητῶν. Through a combination of biographical, exegetical, theoretical, and (perhaps) technical information, this type of literature appears to have comprised the earliest "histories" of ancient poetry. This essay presents an initial survey of some unpublished medieval fragments and manuscripts preserved at the Biblioteca Comunale Manfrediana in Faenza. Alongside essential information about the collections that house them, a detailed preliminary description of some of these pieces is provided. Additionally, an edition of an inedited fragment of Petrarch’s Bucolicum carmen is presented, initiating a study aimed to enhance the value of the Faenza library’s literary heritage through future publications, in-depth research, and editions.

Budizm; tarihi, edebiyatı, uygulamaları, ekolleri, gelenek ve mefhumlarıyla Hindistan kökenli felsefi inanış sistemleri arasında önemli bir yere sahiptir. Ortaya çıkmasını takip eden süre boyunca Hindistan’daki siyasi oluşumlar tarafından uzun bir süre desteklenmiş olan Budizm, yazınsal kaynaklarını oluşturmaya başlamış ve böylece inanırları tarafından Buddha öğretisinin temelleri kayda geçirilmiştir. Milat sıralarına yaklaşıldıkça siyasi oluşumlardan beklediği desteği bulamayan Budizm, Asya’nın içlerine, doğusuna ve güneyine doğru yayılmıştır. Bunlar arasında Orta Asya ve İpek Yolu güzergâhı Budizm için önemli bir yayılma alanı olmuştur. Budizm, bu bölgedeki yerel inanışların etkisi altında yeni felsefi yorumlar geliştirmiş ve zamanla Budizm içerisindeki mevcut ekollere ilaveten yeni alt ekoller de ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu alt ekollerin bir kısmı yalnızca yazınsal kaynaklar itibarıyla Sanskritçe temellere dayanmaktadır. Biopharmaceutical products, in particular messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA), have the potential to dramatically improve the quality of life for patients suffering from respiratory and infectious diseases, rare genetic disorders, and cancer. However, the quality and safety of such products are particularly critical for patients and require close scrutiny. Key product-related impurities, such as fragments and aggregates, among others, can significantly reduce the efficacy of mRNA therapies. In the present work, the possibilities offered by size exclusion chromatography (SEC) for the characterization of mRNA samples were explored using state-of-the-art ultra-wide pore columns with average pore diameters of 1000 and 2500 Å. Our investigation shows that a column with 1000 Å pores proved to be optimal for the analysis of mRNA products, whatever the size between 500 and 5000 nucleotides (nt). We also studied the influence of mobile phase composition and found that the addition of 10 mM magnesium chloride (MgCl2) can be beneficial in improving the resolution and recovery of large size variants for some mRNA samples. We demonstrate that caution should be exercised when increasing column length or decreasing the flow rate. While these adjustments slightly improve resolution, they also lead to an apparent increase in the amount of low-molecular-weight species (LMWS) and monomer peak tailing, which can be attributed to the prolonged residence time inside the column. Finally, our optimal SEC method has been successfully applied to a wide range of mRNA products, ranging from 1000 to 4500 nt in length, as well as mRNA from different suppliers and stressed/unstressed samples. Recent research on algebraic models of quasi-Nelson logic has brought new attention to a number of classes of algebras which result from enriching (subreducts of) Heyting algebras with a special modal operator, known in the literature as a nucleus. Among these various algebraic structures, for which we employ the umbrella term intuitionistic modal algebras, some have been studied since at least the 1970s, usually within the framework of topology and sheaf theory. Others may seem more exotic, for their primitive operations arise from algebraic terms of the intuitionistic modal language which have not been previously considered. We shall for instance investigate the variety of weak implicative semilattices, whose members are (non-necessarily distributive) meet semilattices endowed with a nucleus and an implication operation which is not a relative pseudo-complement but satisfies the postulates of Celani and Jansana's strict implication. Microplastics (MPs, plastic items from 1 µm to 5 mm in size) are present in all environmental compartments. The evaluation of their concentration, fate, and spatial distribution is still a challenge for the scientific community. This concern is just debuting in developing countries, (i.e., Asia, South America, and Africa). This study deals with the MP contamination in the abiotic marine compartments of Northern Vietnam: seawater and intertidal sediments. Four sites located in the intertidal zone or near the coastline in Tonkin Bay, Vietnam were studied. A total of 16 samples (eight for each compartment) were collected in July 2020 (rainy season) and January 2021 (dry season). Anthropogenic particles (total observed fibers and fragments) were found at levels ranging from 3 to 303 particles/m3 in seawater and from 63 to 955 particles/kg dry weight in sediments. Most of these were fibers less than 300-µm long. Higher levels of seawater at the Nam Dinh site were found in the rainy season compared to the dry one. As the river flow was estimated six times higher during the rainy season than during the dry season, these results suggest the river discharge is a potential source of contamination for the coastal zone. The temporal variability was lower for the sediments than for the seawater, suggesting the long-term integration of the anthropogenic particles in this compartment. A small portion of sorted particles were analyzed by µFTIR (8.35%), and this sub-sample was only composed of fragments. Still, fragments were mostly composed of polypropylene (PP, 82%), polyethylene (PE, 9%), and polystyrene (PS, 9%). The fragment size was similar in the two studied compartments, but it was dependent on polymer types since PS fragments (140 ± 17 µm) were smaller than those made of PE (622 ± 123 µm) and PP (869 ± 905 µm). Future works should investigate the smallest fraction of MP (even nanoplastics) as well as find solutions in order to mitigate MP contamination in the marine environment. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

When Hannah Arendt writes about the law, she does so as a political theorist, genocide survivor and critic of modernity. She also writes as a phenomenologist, which is to say, she is mindful not only that people create the law, but that law constitutes a people. In Origins, she calls attention to the importance of the rule of law in the emergence of totalitarianism. In On Revolution, she seeks a way of grounding political authority in something other than an Absolute. In the process, Arendt looks to another group of intellectuals who grappled with the nature of authority under conditions of modernity—the Early German Romantics. Romantic fragments are philosophical, poetic, even musical. For Arendt, the most highly valued fragments are historical because these fragments provide not only protection against totalitarianism but also a possible solution to the problem of authority. In this article, I explore Arendt's interpretation of the Declaration of Independence as a historical fragment. She draws on a phenomenological approach to fragments, found primarily in the work of Rahel Varnhagen and Dorothea Veit-Schlegel, to create a resilient yet malleable basis for authority, thereby grounding political authority in concrete historical events, rather than in human nature. This essay explores the philosophical implications inherent in Samuel Beckett’s most enigmatic and metonymic late theater work, Not I, even as he frequently abjured any interest in philosophy, which he claimed neither to read nor to understand. The play is profoundly ontological, however, and its metonymic stage image engages the classical philosophical conundrum of the relationship of the part, a piece or fragment, say, to the whole, an issue with which Beckett has at least been intrigued for most of his creative life.

This research paper foregrounds a bricolage methodology based on autoethnographicwriting and analog collage technique to interweave Arab queerness in migratory contexts. By proceeding as such, the paper seeks to open a space for new modalities of crafting of knowledge; notably by bridging creative visual methodologies with critical theories. It also sketches problemspaces(Grossberg, 2010) of Arab queerness by discussing the different nodal points that shape it.

The recurrent themes of identity and social belongingness, and tension between tradition and modernity reflect the complexities across generations of post-colonial African writers, mainly in Ghana. This study explores how address and reference terms (ARTs), as constructs of naming practices, used for and by characters in Armah’s Fragments, Aidoo’s Changes, and Gyasi’s Homegoing reiterate the themes of identity and social belongingness, and tension between tradition and modernity. Using Homi Bhabha and Stuart Hall’s principles of post-colonial theory, and the concept of address and reference terms, the study revealed that ARTs, mainly descriptive phrases and personal names, contribute to the characterisation and the exploration of themes such as identity and social belongingness, and the tension between tradition and modernity. Each novel explores the complexities of identity and social belongingness within the context of historical, cultural, and societal changes, illustrating the enduring impact of these factors on Ghanaian experiences. The study offers implications for literary and interdisciplinary studies.

ABSTRACTAggregates are recognized as one of the most critical product-related impurities in monoclonal antibody (mAb)-based therapeutics due to their negative impact on the stability and safety of the drugs. So far, investigational efforts have primarily focused on understanding the causes and effects of mAb self-aggregation, including both internal and external factors. In this study, we focused on understanding mAb stability in the presence of its monovalent fragment, formed through hinge cleavage and loss of one Fab unit (referred to as “Fab/c”), a commonly observed impurity during manufacturing and stability. The Fab/c fragments were generated using a limited IgdE digestion that specifically cleaves above the IgG1 mAb hinge region, followed by hydrophobic interaction chromatographic (HIC) enrichment. Two IgG1 mAbs containing different levels of Fab/c fragments were incubated under thermally accelerated conditions. A method based on size exclusion chromatography coupled with native mass spectrometry (SEC-UV-native MS) was developed and used to characterize the stability samples and identified the formation of heterogeneous dimers, including intact dimer, mAb-Fab/c dimer, Fab/c-Fab/c dimer, and mAb-Fab dimer. Quantitative analyses on the aggregation kinetics suggested that the impact of Fab/c fragment on the aggregation rate of individual dimer differs between a glycosylated mAb (mAb1) and a non-glycosylated mAb (mAb2). An additional study of deglycosylated mAb1 under 25°C accelerated stability conditions suggests no significant impact of the N-glycan on mAb1 total aggregation rate. This study also highlighted the power of SEC-UV-native MS method in the characterization of mAb samples with regard to separating, identifying, and quantifying mAb aggregates and fragments.

Despite the shift from object- to landscape-based approaches in urban heritage management, the analysis of heritage as objects is still viable, as the current archaeological theories of material culture do not see objects in the same manner as the object-based approach. To reveal the broader significance of urban archaeology for the cityscape, the relationship between the discipline and urban space is analyzed in the framework of fragmentation theory. The theory is based on prehistoric archaeology but modified to describe urban archaeology and its effects in the contemporary city. It is argued that fragments, regardless of their connection with the past and their central role in heritage work, also have autonomous potential to distract and act as agents disconnected from their original objects. The creative character of urban fragments should be explored further by archaeologists and heritage management. The Arctic and Antarctica represent two of the most inhospitable and poorly investigated biomes in the world. Although polar regions are still perceived as some of the most pristine places still in existence, these remote places are no longer immune to anthropogenic pollution, in particular, micro- and nanoplastics. Seabirds, avian species feeding mainly at sea, are indicators of change in the environment and represent an early study group of ecological indicators for plastic pollution. The goal of this bibliometric overview is to evaluate international research trends on the impacts of microplastics (MPs) and nanoplastics (NPs) on seabirds inhabiting polar regions. A total of at least 13 seabird species were reported to have ingested MPs from 1983-2023. Overall, 1130 samples were investigated, including stomach content, pouch content, guano, and pellets. Pellets were the most investigated substrate (699), followed by stomach contents (309), guano (101), and pouch contents (21). A median of 31.5 MPs per sample was found in the Arctic, with an average of 7.2 MPs per sample. A median of 35 MPs per sample was found in Antarctica, with an average of 1.1 MPs per sample. Overall, MPs were most frequently found in fragment form. A total of 3526 MPs were retrieved from stomachs (3013), pellets (398), guano (75), and pouch contents (40). Polyethylene was the dominant plastic polymer found, followed by polypropylene and polystyrene. The monitoring of MP ingestion is crucial to mitigating the impacts on marine and terrestrial organisms. Microplastic (MP) study in the Philippines is gaining attention because of the recent trends in macro-microplastic study worldwide and there is already a call for research to help the degrading marine environment in the country. No study in Malita, Davao Occidental was conducted to document microplastic contamination. To address this gap, 30 goat fishes collected in 6 sampling stations were dissected and microplastic were extracted, counted, and characterized. Results revealed that 96.67% of samples were contaminated with microplastic. In terms of microplastic type, fiber was most dominant than fragments, in microplastic hue, color black was the most common and microplastic with size ranging from 50 to 500µm were usually observed. Comparable amount of microplastic was obtained in fish guts across stations (P>0.05) which means that fish ingestion of microplastic were evident in the area. Based on Correlation, the length (r²=0.13), wet weight (r²=0.17) and gut wet weight (r²=0.29) of the fish does not tell the amount of microplastic ingested by each yellow stripped goat fish since there is a weak relationship between the two parameters. The result suggests, Malita's seawater is already polluted with microplastic and demersal fishes that practice high site fidelity were very susceptible to microplastic ingestion. A stronger solid waste management policy must be implemented and activities such coastal clean ups and information drives must be initiated by all stakeholders. Further, microplastic investigation in seawater and sediments must be conducted to have a more detailed study of the whole extent of microplastic contamination in Malita, Davao Occidental. Real power loss reduction and Voltage stability enhancement are the key objectives of the paper. To solve the problem, Protist algorithm (PA) and Otocyon megalotis optimization algorithm. Then, mutation and cross-over probability are employed to augment the performance of the Protist algorithm (PA). With this integration engendering of the population is done. The response of sandwich structures under the synergistic effects of blast wave and fragments is a topic of interest for researchers and designers. Thus, the performance of a sandwich structure used for enhancing the protection of a target structure is numerically investigated because it may experience such complex loading conditions resulting from combined blast and fragment impact. A conventional sandwich structure modelled using aluminium alloy resists a bare blast load imposed on it. Analysis, however, reveals that fragments penetrate through the front facesheet of a conventional sandwich structure, indicating a lower resistance of the front facesheet to combined blast and fragment effects. Thus, the behaviour of conventional aluminium honeycomb sandwich structures is compared with enhanced sandwich configurations consisting of a front facesheet covered with multilayer lightweight composite Kevlar fabric material. The Kevlar fabric arrests the maximum number of fragments, and reduces their momentum, thereby reducing the damage level in the sandwich structure. The effect of the charge weight and shape of the fragments on the damage modes of the sandwich structure is also assessed. With the increase in charge weight, the momentum of the fragments is found to increase, and these penetrate the back facesheet of the sandwich structure. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Ongoing interventions by antiracist scholars and activists demonstrate the lasting impact that the racist, nationalist, and colonialist foundation of the field has had on modern perceptions of the pre-Conquest English past and those who study it. This article identifies the impact of the same ideologies on the study of early Middle English literatures and its place in canonical accounts. The deployment of medieval English literatures in a teleological effort to establish histories of whiteness and legitimize white colonial superiority. However, close interrogation of the linguistic and literary developments of the period threatened the very structures they were invoked to sustain. Effectively, early Middle English was placed in a medial position that invoked its presence only to deny its importance. This article offers an alternative. Eve Sedgwick's conception of 'reparative reading' has resonances with both the material forms in which early Middle English is preserved, and the human experiences that underlie that preservation. Fragmentary lyrics, like the couplet from Poema Morale, provide an example. These snippets point to the presence of a widely circulating 'cultural repository' that could negotiate the structures of institutional (primarily Latinate) literacy and opened those frameworks to dynamic participation by a wide range of readers and users. Joining two dissimilar materials, like aluminum and steel, has been a topic of great importance in modern engineering applications. Therefore, this research expounds on joining aluminum alloy (Al5052) with low-carbon mild steel using friction stir welding. A novel approach is employed that quantifies the discontinuities (steel debris and voids) in the weld stir zone using image analysis. Furthermore, a parametric investigation was conducted following a full factorial approach with three tool rotational and traverse speed levels, and a heat input factor (ω2/v) was derived through theoretical modeling of process parameters. The heat input factor was substantiated experimentally with thermal cycle measurements. Results revealed that both the ω2/v factor and the extent of discontinuities determined the soundness and strength of the weld joints. A low rotational speed of 386 revolutions/minute and moderate traverse speed of 140 mm/minute, having minimal discontinuities, rendered maximum joint strength of approximately 212 MPa. Fragments derived from small RNAs such as small nucleolar RNAs are biologically relevant but remain poorly understood. To address this gap, we developed sRNAfrag, a modular and interoperable tool designed to standardize the quantification and analysis of small RNA fragmentation across various biotypes. The tool outputs a set of tables forming a relational database, allowing for an in-depth exploration of biologically complex events such as multi-mapping and RNA fragment stability across different cell types. In a benchmark test, sRNAfrag was able to identify established loci of mature microRNAs solely based on sequencing data. Furthermore, the 5' seed sequence could be rediscovered by utilizing a visualization approach primarily applied in multi-sequence-alignments. Utilizing the relational database outputs, we detected 1411 snoRNA fragment conservation events between two out of four eukaryotic species, providing an opportunity to explore motifs through evolutionary time and conserved fragmentation patterns. Additionally, the tool's interoperability with other bioinformatics tools like ViennaRNA amplifies its utility for customized analyses. We also introduce a novel loci-level variance-score which provides insights into the noise around peaks and demonstrates biological relevance by distinctly separating breast cancer and neuroblastoma cell lines after dimension reduction when applied to small nucleolar RNAs. Overall, sRNAfrag serves as a versatile foundation for advancing our understanding of small RNA fragments and offers a functional foundation to further small RNA research. The Index scriptorum listed at the end of volume VII of the Grammatici Latini edited by Heinrich Keil (1855–1880) includes four quotations of Cassius Severus, a Roman rhetor who lived during Augustus’ and Tiberius’ reigns. Not all these four fragments (two of which are quoted two times, by two different authors) have a place in Cassius Severus’ modern editions. For this reason, in this paper, even if we cannot always conclude that we are actually dealing with Cassius Severus’ fragments, we will offer an analysis of these previously rather neglected quotations. This article argues for the inclusion of verbal and nominal ellipsis in the Spanish as a Second Language classroom, mainly at intermediate and advanced levels. A qualitative analysis of Spanish textbooks and grammar manuals reveals that ellipsis processes are frequently ignored in this type of teaching materials. A succinct linguistic description of the main elliptical processes in Spanish (verbal ellipsis, nominal, fragments, and null complement anaphora) is presented and a series of sample learning activities are proposed for the practice of these constructions and their inclusion in teaching materials. At the same time, I argue for the importance of the so-called discourse grammar and of the mechanisms of discourse coherence and cohesion, of which ellipsis is an example, in the construction of complex discourse and, consequently, in the integral teaching of Spanish as a second language. Microplastics (MP) have been evidenced in marine and coastal areas worldwide, including the Gulf of California in Mexico, where the Vaquita Marina refuge area is located, which in turn borders the protected natural area Alto Golfo de California y Delta del Rio Colorado. This research aimed to determine the concentrations of microplastics in the Vaquita protection zone, analyzing samples of ten transects of surface water and samples in the sand of five beaches on the coast surrounding the Vaquita protection polygon. The total concentrations of MP in the surface water transects were from 0.000 to 0.020 MP/m3 and their most recurrent characteristics were fragments (69.0%), the chemical composition of polyethylene (60.0%), the blue color (39.0%) and a size of 2.1–3.0 mm (31.0%). While for the beaches, these corresponded to averages ranging from 28.2 ± 36.4; 17.6 to 200.7 ± 77.9; 193.7 MP/m2, the most common characteristics of MP from beaches were filaments (33.2%), PE (32.3%), white (28.0%), and a size of 4.1–5.0 mm (32.0%). The results suggest that part of the MP on the beaches and in the Vaquita Marina refuge area could come from urban areas such as the Gulf of California and activities such as fishing. It is recommended to study all the transects of the Vaquita Marina polygon and more beaches surrounding it in different seasons to better understand the status of MP pollution.

ObjectiveThis study seeks to explore the effects of a protective bulkhead structure on the load and damage characteristics of a typical cabin under warhead internal blast, and guide protective bulkhead design for important ship cabins. MethodA typical double cabin structure model is designed in which the large cabin is used to simulate the explosion cabin, while the small cabin is used to simulate the important cabin. A comparative study is then carried out on the load and damage characteristics of the original bulkhead model and multi-layer liquid-containing protective bulkhead model under an internal explosion of thr shell warhead with 6.12 kg TNT, and an analysis is made of the load characteristics of fragments, shockwaves, structural crevasses, deformation damage characteristics. ResultsThe fragment flying angle produced by the front end of the warhead is basically the same, and there are fewer fragments at the front end than in the circumferential direction. The presence or absence of a protective bulkhead has little effect on the fragment load characteristics. The explosion shockwave has obvious corner convergence characteristics. The shockwave energy changes with the strength of the structure, and it is easier for the overall energy to pour into the weak parts of the structure. Under the combined damage of shockwave and fragments, the center of the conventional steel transverse bulkhead suffers a large break, while the multi-layer liquid-containing protective bulkhead only suffers large plastic deformation on the projectile-facing surface and perforation by a small number of fragments, with the structure of the projectile backing surface remaining complete. Multi-layer liquid-containing protective bulkheads can effectively prevent the transmission of explosive energy to the adjacent cabin, but they will aggravate the structural damage of the explosion cabin. ConclusionThe "evacuating and blocking" protection design method has important practical application value for the protection of important ship cabins.

With the continuous innovation of UAV technology, composite honeycomb sandwich structures are used more and more in the fuselage structure of UAVs, and their anti-high-speed fragment impact performance has become a concern. In order to study the influence of fragments on the damage degree of composite honeycomb structures and analyze the damage difference of different initial velocity fragments on different composite honeycomb structures, based on the numerical simulation results of high-speed impact, the energy absorption characteristics of different honeycomb sandwich structures are analyzed, and the honeycomb structure with better energy absorption is selected for 24 impact experiments. The velocity range of fragment impact is 141–368 m/s. The typical damage of the upper core layer and the lower core layer in each structure is analyzed, and the energy absorption theory is used to compare the conditions of each group. The results show that ST-3-3 has the best energy absorption characteristics. Under different velocity impacts, the energy absorption per unit volume of the ST-3-3 structure reaches 521.6~659.6 × 103 J/m3, which is about 30.6% higher than that of the same design structure. The four groups of composite honeycomb sandwich structures designed in the experiment have obvious deformation in the process of impact, except that the deformation of the bottom skin of the ST-6-6-1 structure is not obvious, and the deformation of the other three groups is more obvious with the increase in structural resistance. This research shows that the reasonable arrangement of the structure and material of the composite honeycomb sandwich can better cope with the impact of high-speed fragments and reduce the damage to the structure.

In order to scientifically evaluate the target damage effect of uncertain intersection between projectile and target confrontation game, this paper establishes a basic model of target damage in the intersection between projectile and target game, which is through the spatial relationship between the explosive position of the projectile and the target position and gives a calculation method of target damage evaluation. The study applies Nash equilibrium theory to analyze income-loss functions in an adversarial game model. According to the definition of the possibility degree of interval number in uncertain multi-attribute decision-making, we proposed a method of solving the Nash equilibrium value of the income matrix of both sides of the game, which is using the interval possibility degree. We used quantitative calculations to analyze game strategies and changes in target damage under different states, such as fragment numbers, velocities, and angles of hit in the confrontation game between projectile and target. Based on the Nash equilibrium value solution method of the particle swarm optimization algorithm, we quantitatively calculated the fitness change relationship between the projectile and the target under different strategy sets. Based on the actual projectile confrontation game test, we analyze the damage probability effects of two projectiles at different explosion positions and different rendezvous angle angles on the three cabins. The results show that in the same area, the intersection angle is smaller, the probability of target damage is greater, and the intersection distance is farther, the damage probability is smaller.

In responding to the call for exploring and explicating aspects of the research process that remain unspoken about in most social science fields, this narrative asks deceptively simple questions: what does it mean to carry out research as an academic with a lived experience of displacement, loss and pain? What are the methodological choices available to me as a migrant scholar? What does it really mean to write (about) the displaced-turned-emplaced self from the margin—myself being a case in point—within contexts of loss and displacement? My aim is to present a personal narrative that is uniquely mine, a story that may work with or against what is thought to be the official story. I defend the use of fragments, theoretically and methodologically, to avoid the homogenisation of narratives and assumptions about how research is carried out, how knowledge(s) are produced and reproduced, and who has the power to produce them. Thus, building on established scholarship cutting across various fields and guided by postcolonial and postmodernist theories, I hope to unpack the tensions and possibilities inherent in thinking about borders and positionality in academia (when the researcher dwells at the margins), identity, its fragmentation, and its entanglement with questions of decoloniality, narrative and voice. The article situates Mémoires d'outre-mer in current debates about lieux de mémoire, and in particular about the ways in which the concept elaborated by Pierre Nora is increasingly scrutinized in the light of its silences relating to colonial memory. Ferrier focuses on realms of memory such as the Mahajanga cemetery around which much of his text is constructed, but also engages directly with one of the subjects of Nora's collection, the school textbook Le Tour de la France par Deux Enfants, in order to open up a discussion of contemporary memory practices in contemporary France. He argues that French memory is often limited to national boundaries, and that any internal diversity is regulated, sanitized, hierarchized, with France's status as a transculturated, "travelling" culture denied in the process. The novel is a creative reaction to this mnemonic tendency, with the work situated at the intersection of the transnational and postcolonial, two concepts that are far from being synonymous but are nevertheless closely related throughout the text. Microplastics (MPs) pervade various ecosystems, including urban landscapes. The aim of this study was to determine whether the presence of MPs in atmospheric deposition samples is related to land use. For this purpose, atmospheric deposition was collected from 15 to 25 March 2021 at seven research sites in the city of Pristina (Kosovo). Each research site was characterized by different land use. Collected atmospheric deposition samples were analyzed in the laboratory, and then the filtered samples were assessed using a light microscope. The type and size of microplastics in the samples were defined and statistically analyzed. The highest number of total MPs was noted on the highway, while the lowest one was near to the park. A positive relationship was observed between the number of total MPs and the proportion of areas classified as "roads and associated areas" in the land use of the analyzed research sites. Furthermore, a negative relationship was found between the number of total MPs and the proportion of areas classified as "green urban areas". The purpose of drug discovery is to identify new drugs, and the solubility of drug molecules is an important physicochemical property in medicinal chemistry, that plays a crucial role in drug discovery. In solubility prediction, high-precision computational methods can significantly reduce the experimental costs and time associated with drug development. Therefore, artificial intelligence technologies have been widely used for solubility prediction. This study utilized the attention layer in mechanism in the deep learning model to consider the atomic-level features of the molecules, and used gated recurrent neural networks to aggregate vectors between layers. It also utilized molecular fragment technology to divide the complete molecule into pairs of fragments, extracted characteristics from each fragment pair, and finally fused the characteristics to predict the solubility of drug molecules. We compared and evaluated our method with five existing models using two performance evaluation indicators, demonstrating that our method has better performance and greater robustness.
