fisica alte energie - Abstract
We study charmless hadronic decays of charged B mesons to the final states K0 SK0 SK and K0 SK0 Sπ using a 711 fb−1 data sample that contains 772 × 106 BB¯ pairs and was collected at the ϒð4SÞ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy eþe− collider. For B → K0 SK0 SK, the measured branching fraction and direct CP asymmetry are ½10.42 0.43ðstatÞ 0.22ðsystÞ × 10−6 and ½þ1.6 3.9ðstatÞ 0.9ðsystÞ%, respectively. In the absence of a statistically significant signal for B → K0 SK0 Sπ, we obtain a 90% confidence-level upper limit on its branching fraction as 8.7 × 10−7.

analisi dati ,fisica alte energie - Abstract
The paper describes how an international collaboration uses the newly built Rete di Calcolo per SuperB e altre applicazioni (ReCaS) infrastructure. The Belle II experiment, carried out in Japan but with a strong support from Italian scientist and from Istituto Nazionale Fisica Nucleare (INFN), provides extensive resources that are used since October 2014 for the Monte Carlo Campaign; up to 4000 computing hours per day were used in the 4th campaign, for a continuous run of 50 days.

The NA48 collaboration is preparing a new experiment at CERN aiming to study CP violation in the $K^{0}-K^{0}$ system with an accuracy of $2 \times 10^{−4}$ in the parameter $\Re(\epsilon'/\epsilon)$. Decays in two $\pi^{0}$'s will be recorded by a quasi-homogeneous liquid krypton calorimeter. A liquid krypton calorimeter has been chosen to combine good energy, position and time resolution with precise charge calibration and long-term stability. The prototype calorimeter incorporating the final design of the electrode read-out structure is presented in this paper. An energy resolution of $\simeq 3.5$%/$\sqrt{E}$ with a constant term smaller than 0.5% has been obtained. The time resolution was found to be better than 300 ps above 15 GeV.

We built and tested a Cherenkov counter for particle identification, with spherical shape (R = 600 mm), made of glass. The threshold at β = 0.92 is set by the mechanism of total internal reflection of the Cherenkov light.

A description is given of a detector that constitutes the inner tracking part of the E760 experiment designed to study charmonium spectroscopy on the antiproton accumulator at FNAL. It is composed of a multiwire proportional chamber and a radial projection chamber on the same mechanical structure with cylindrical symmetry. Some special features are described which makes it possible to achieve field shaping and to minimize space-charge effects, multiple scattering, and photon conversion. The detector has been made as light as possible in order to minimize particle conversion in the sensitive zone ranging from 15 degrees to 50 degrees degrees in polar angle. A data display for a cosmic event is shown. >
