This paper analyzes the role of families facing the disruption caused by the shutdown of school facilities due to the health crisis caused by the SARS - C o V -2 virus, based on the premise that the reflection of conflicts and the debate about how to deal with them allows us to attain and build institutional learning. It shares the findings of the research “Reception, experiences and practice of the 'Learn at Home strategy' during the emergency of COVID -19. A study from heterogeneity”, whose purpose was to describe the actions carried out in adapting schools to teaching in an emergency, from the point of view of the actors and intended to build knowledge from the analysis of this crisis, thinking about its implications and acknowledging potential learnings for the daily life of the schools. Mobility can involve many barriers that make it challenging for individuals with disabilities to travel. When it is a child who has a disability, the whole family's mobility practices can be affected by those barriers since families' mobilities are often intertwined. This paper is based on time-use diaries and interviews with parents of wheelchair-using children living in Sweden. A time-geographical framework is used in the paper, especially focusing on the concept of coupling constraints, which can emerge when individuals need to be together to perform an activity, such as mobility. The main focus is on how coupling constraints between parents and the disabled child affect mobilities, but the findings show that couplings also exist with authorities and things and these can increase coupling constraints within the family. However, if being eligible for personal assistance and special transport service the coupling constraints within the family can decrease, indicating that such support systems are fundamental for these families' mobilities. This text analyzes the relevance of kinship and family culture in the cultural reproduction of the Calós (Gitanos) that form the community of Mexico City. The qualitative methodology uses anthropological immersion techniques. The objective is to analyze how the kinship system is constructed from genealogy to allow cultural comparison and to corroborate the functioning of a bilateral society with patrilineal nuance. It also underlines the importance of the preservation of ethnocultural difference, not only through social and family organization but also through sociobiological endogamy. The fact is that the Gitanos feel somewhat related to one another, even though genealogically they are not. This imprecise logic of the functioning of the kinship system raises interesting questions for the field of Romani studies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In keeping with the principles of positive parenting, understood as parental actions based on the best interests of children and aimed at their overall development, self-determination theory (SDT) posits that it is the family that must satisfy three basic psychological needs: autonomy, relatedness, and competence. Owing to migratory movement, the wide range of cultures present in Spain, and the fact that the family is the preferred place to experience human relationships, this context seems to be an ideal setting for testing the apparent universality of SDT. Hence, the main objective of this study was to examine the parenting dimensions: autonomy (autonomy support vs psychological control), relatedness (warmth vs rejection), and competence (structure vs chaos) and their influence on children's behaviors in families from a wide range of international backgrounds. The sample comprised a total of 3428 parents and 1785 children attending primary education (7-13 years old) in eight autonomous communities in Spain. Information was collected using three standardized questionnaires, adapted and validated for the Spanish context. The results show that, regardless of family origin, there were higher scores in positive parenting dimensions (autonomy support, warmth, and structure) than negative dimensions (psychological control, rejection and chaos). The findings also indicate that warmth had a positive effect on children's behaviors while psychological control had a negative effect, as well as that there were some differences between certain geographical zones in warmth, structure, and chaos. Our study provides confirmation of the universality of the precepts of SDT and positive parenting in families from a wide range of geographical and cultural backgrounds in the Spanish context. The payment of child support is one of the main challenges regarding gender equity and economic justice. Recent figures show that 84% of child support payments decreed by the family courts are not paid, and in nine out of ten cases the plaintiffs are women. This article explores the experiences of nonpayment of child support from a gender perspective. For this purpose, 18 semi-structured interviews were conducted with women in the cities of Antofagasta, Santiago de Chile, and Temuco, as part of a study on women’s economic autonomy in Chile. The findings show that non-payment of child support is closely linked to the persistence of the feminization of reproduction and the absence of co-responsibility in child-rearing and childcare. It is also related to a reluctance to request the payment of child support as a strategy to avoid economic dependence, vulnerability to violence, and institutional revictimization. This evidence suggests that nonpayment of child support constitutes a form of economic violence and that cultural norms and social dynamics with respect to gender are at the root of tensions over co-responsibility in the reproductive sphere. El pago de las pensiones alimenticias es uno de los principales desafíos en torno a la equidad de género y a la justicia económica. Cifras recientes demuestran que el 84 % de las pensiones alimenticias decretadas por los tribunales de familia son incumplidas y en nueve de cada 10 casos las demandantes son mujeres. En el presente artículo se exploran las experiencias sobre el incumplimiento del pago de las pensiones alimenticias desde una perspectiva de género. Para ello, se realizaron 18 entrevistas semiestructuradas a mujeres de las ciudades Antofagasta, Santiago de Chile y Temuco en el marco de una investigación sobre autonomía económica de mujeres en Chile. Los hallazgos muestran que el incumplimiento del pago de las pensiones de alimentos está estrechamente vinculado a la persistencia de la feminización de la reproducción y a la ausencia de corresponsabilidad en la crianza y el cuidado de hijos e hijas. También se relaciona con la resistencia a solicitar el pago de pensiones de alimentos como estrategia para evitar la dependencia económica, la vulnerabilidad a la violencia y la revictimización institucional. Estas evidencias sugieren que el impago de las pensiones constituye una forma de violencia económica y que las normas culturales y dinámicas sociales con respecto al género están en la base de las tensiones sobre la corresponsabilidad en el ámbito reproductivo.

En este texto se analiza la relevancia del parentesco y la cultura familiar en la reproducción cultural de los Calós (Gitanos) que forman la comunidad de Ciudad de México. La metodología ha sido de orientación cualitativa empleando técnicas de inmersión antropológica. El objetivo es analizar cómo el sistema de parentesco se construye desde la genealogía como un constructo que permite la comparación cultural y corroborar el funcionamiento de una sociedad bilateral con un colorido patrilineal. Asimismo, se subraya la importancia de la preservación de la diferencia etnocultural, no solo a través de la organización social y familiar, sino a través de la endogamia sociobiológica. El hecho es que los Calós se sienten “un poco parientes entre sí”, aunque genealógicamente no lo sean. Esta lógica imprecisa de funcionamiento del sistema de parentesco plantea interesantes cuestiones al campo de los Romani Studies.

En la actualidad, contemplar la realidad de la familia es un ejercicio complicado, como consecuencia del proceso de transformación al que se ha visto sometida la institución en las últimas décadas. La convergencia de factores fundamentalmente socio-económicos, unidos a profundas transformaciones culturales e ideológicas, han dado como resultado el declive de un modelo de familia que podríamos llamar tradicional, para dar paso a una serie de estructuras familiares constituidas por parejas casadas con hijos biológicos, sin hijos, con hijos adoptados, familias formadas por parejas sin vínculo matrimonial o por parejas del mismo sexo, además de familias monoparentales, reconstruidas, entre otras. A esta evolución ha contribuido, indudablemente, el uso de las técnicas de reproducción asistida. Sin embargo, nuestro Derecho no ha evolucionado en materia de filiación (art. 108 CC), de modo que ésta sólo puede tener lugar por naturaleza y por adopción, sin hacerse mención alguna a la voluntad, o intencionalidad de quienes quieren ser progenitores, en su determinación, pese a que esa disponibilidad de la filiación sí se deduce de los arts. 7 y 8 LTRHA 2006. De modo que, entendemos, hay que buscar una respuesta a estas nuevas realidades y que haya un reconocimiento expreso del legislador a la filiación que deriva del uso de cualquiera de las técnicas de reproducción que la ciencia hace posible en la actualidad, como sería la gestación por sustitución, se admita o no esta práctica en nuestro ordenamiento jurídico. De hecho, el que fuera de nuestras fronteras, en un mundo globalizado, se hayan constituido familias españolas tras una gestación subrogada perfectamente regulada y admitida, nos parece una razón suficiente para proponer la admisión expresa en España de una nueva forma de filiación derivada del uso de las técnicas médicas de reproducción y que bien podría denominarse “filiación asistida de voluntad”, en términos del Código de las Familias de Cuba, distinta de la filiación natural y de la adoptiva. Evidentemente, estamos ante una opción legislativa.

La familia primer entorno social donde se desarrolla el individuo juega un papel en su formación integral. El objetivo del estudio fue evaluar la dinámica familiar en el rendimiento académico de los alumnos de la Institución Educativa Artesanal de Taquile. La investigación se realizó bajo un enfoque cuantitativo descriptivo. Se aplicó un cuestionario a 94 estudiantes. La mayoría de los estudiantes viven en familias nucleares. El 60,6% de los provienen de familias donde ambos padres asumen el rol de jefes de familia. El 29,8% considera la calidad es poco satisfactoria. El 53,2% no cuentan con el apoyo educativo de ninguno de sus padres. Existió asociación entre las variables evaluadas. El análisis de la dinámica familiar incide significativamente en el rendimiento académico de los alumnos. Sus logros de aprendizaje están en proceso, lo que demuestra la importancia de la conexión emocional y el apoyo interpersonal dentro del núcleo familiar.

A prevenção da obesidade infantil é uma questão crítica para a saúde pública, pois a grande maioria do excesso de peso é adquirido ainda em idade pré-escolar. De acordo com a Organização Mundial de Saúde, em 2016, 41 milhões de crianças apresentavam excesso de peso ou obesidade com menos de 5 anos. A obesidade é difícil de combater, persistindo na idade adulta, e aumenta o risco de doenças crónicas. Embora os comportamentos de estilo de vida modificáveis, como alimentação saudável e atividade física, sejam determinantes no sucesso do combate à obesidade, outros fatores da sociedade atual decorrentes do avanço tecnológico têm um peso marcado nesta doença. Para prevenir a obesidade na primeira infância, é importante entender os fatores de risco e as suas interações. As intervenções multidisciplinares demonstram ser eficazes, quando há disponibilidade e motivação, principalmente do ambiente familiar e escolar, onde as crianças estão inseridas. No entanto, desenvolver e avaliar intervenções complexas para a prevenção da obesidade é um desafio para todos os envolvidos, profissionais de saúde, crianças, famílias e outros cuidadores.Esta revisão tem como objetivo discutir as linhas mais recentes para a prevenção e abordagem da obesidade infantil, analisando as evidências das intervenções e discutindo as barreiras da sua aplicação.

Este artículo presenta los resultados de una investigación cuyo objetivo fue analizar las experiencias escolares de estudiantes de secundaria del turno vespertino en un contexto enmarcado en la desigualdad educativa. Se parte del concepto de experiencia social de Francois Dubet, quien considera tres lógicas de acción: integración, estrategia y subjetivación. El estudio es de corte cualitativo, basado en entrevistas semiestructuradas. Los resultados muestran que los estudiantes de secundaria del turno vespertino están integrados a su entorno y las estrategias de cada uno se orientan a la integración con sus pares, docentes y directivos. Se identificó que, mediante las experiencias, su integración a la vida escolar gana terreno gradualmente; de tal manera, en ese proceso construyen el sentido que le dan a la escuela secundaria y a sus estudios. Otro hallazgo es que los estigmas que tienen sobre el turno vespertino padres, docentes, directivos y pares del turno contrario no impiden su construcción como sujetos de su propia vida escolar, más bien los consideran como una posibilidad para construirse como sujetos con metas y objetivos definidos, a pesar de que exista una desigualdad de oportunidades. En conclusión, las principales tensiones encontradas vienen del exterior, de la familia o de la propia escuela, pero las resistencias generadas por los estudiantes entrevistados, ellos logran resolverlas. Así, los estudiantes de secundaria del turno vespertino, sin importar los estigmas sociales, se esfuerzan junto con sus pares, para obtener el certificado de ese nivel escolar.

En este estudio se logró identificar los factores socioafectivos que inciden en la construcción del self en la niñez y la funcionalidad familiar, en los municipios de Soacha y San Antonio de Tequendama en el departamento de Cundinamarca, Colombia, durante 2023, desde un enfoque psicodinámico. La metodología empleada fue de carácter cuantitativo, con un alcance descriptivo, donde se aplicó el instrumento test de funcionamiento familiar (FFSIL). La muestra estuvo conformada por 146 padres, madres y cuidadores, seleccionada por muestreo probabilístico-aleatorio simple, se tuvieron cuatro escenarios diferentes como la Institución Educativa Compartir, con una muestra de 39 personas; la comunidad del barrio Ciudad Verde, con 40 personas; el estadio municipal Luis Carlos Galán con el programa de Exploración Motora del IMRDS (Institución Municipal Para la Recreación y el Deporte de Soacha), con 20 personas del municipio de Soacha, Cundinamarca y la Institución Educativa Departamental Mariano Santamaría del municipio de San Antonio de Tequendama, con 47 personas. Los resultados permitieron identificar la funcionalidad familiar a través de la cohesión, armonía, comunicación, permeabilidad, afectividad, roles, adaptabilidad, etapas de desarrollo psicosocial, pautas de crianza y comunicación familiar en la niñez, demostrando un impacto en la dimensión afectiva.

Introducción. Es imprescindible insertar a la familia en los programas de prevención e intervención del acoso. Por otra parte, las últimas investigaciones destacan la relevancia de analizar los factores que influyen en la perpetración del ciberacoso. Sin embargo, la investigación sobre la influencia de las variables sociofamiliares en los ciberagresores es limitada. Junto a ello, consideramos importante tener en cuenta las etapas de desarrollo en la adolescencia, ya que las relaciones familiares con los hijos se van modificando a lo largo de este periodo. El objetivo de este estudio ha sido analizar la influencia del apoyo social familiar, del clima familiar y de las emociones placenteras hacia el ciberacoso en los comportamientos de ciberagresión, incluyendo como variable de análisis la implicación en la cibervictimización, a través de las etapas de desarrollo de la adolescencia. Metodología. La muestra de estudio fue de 1029 adolescentes (26.9% adolescentes tempranos, 49.1% en la adolescencia media y un 24.0% en la adolescencia tardía). Los datos fueron recogidos empleando cuestionarios estandarizados de las variables de estudio. Resultados. Los resultados obtenidos señalan que en todas las etapas de la adolescencia la cibervictimización (temprana: OR= 1.94, IC= 1.15, 3.26; media: OR= 1.61, IC= 1.30, 1.61; tardía: OR= 1.15, IC= 1.02, 1.29) y las emociones placenteras hacia el ciberacoso (temprana: OR= 1.44, IC= 1.03, 2.02; media: OR= 1.40, IC= 1.09, 1.81; tardía OR= 1.44, IC= 1.03, 2.02) incrementan la probabilidad de ser ciberacosador. En la adolescencia temprana la cohesión familiar protege de ser ciberagresor (OR= 0.01, IC= 0.03. 0.16) y en la adolescencia media experimentar conflictos familiares actúan como factor de riesgo de ser ciberacosador (OR= 3.10, IC= 1.71, 5.59). Discusión. Los resultados coinciden con otros estudios que confirman la influencia de la familia como agente social relevante para la intervención en el ciberacoso. Nuestro trabajo aporta como aspecto novedoso la relevancia de esas variables atendiendo al periodo evolutivo de la adolescencia. Muestran el peso de la cohesión en la adolescencia temprana y de los conflictos durante la adolescencia media. Respecto a las emociones placenteras ante el ciberacoso, de forma similar a investigaciones previas, aparecen con significación como factor de riesgo del comportamiento de ciberagresión durante todo el periodo de la adolescencia. Conclusiones. Las conclusiones del trabajo pueden guiar a los profesionales del trabajo social para realizar un acercamiento preventivo del ciberacoso desde las familias. Desde un clima familiar positivo, manteniendo la familia como unidad, con una elevada cohesión durante la adolescencia temprana y una resolución de conflictos positiva en la adolescencia media, los trabajadores sociales pueden actuar en la prevención e intervención del comportamiento de ciberagresión.

Este trabajo gira en torno a vida de un personaje con seis décadas de trayectoria pública, desde su protagonismo en la llamada Revolución del Parque: Enrique Simón Pérez, quien fue en distintas etapas concejal porteño, diputado nacional y funcionario provincial y nacional, además de hacendado, cooperativista, dirigente ruralista y autoridad partidaria. Se recorren estos aspectos y se explora también su composición familiar y sus vínculos sociales: ese conjunto de elementos aproxima este texto a una biografía, aunque, por fin, se orienta hacia un enfoque de historia regional: en una de sus propiedades, la iniciativa de Pérez derivó en la creación del pueblo de González Catán, geografía donde la familia se mantuvo presente en sus primeras décadas de existencia, estableciendo una determinada relación con aquella incipiente sociedad local. Sin haber sido su principal lugar de referencia es, sin embargo, el único que lo recuerda en la nomenclatura urbana, aunque con una marcada particularidad impuesta por el uso popular.

Objective: To determine the level of stress in parents of children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) at Instituto para el Desarrollo Infantil (Institute for Child Development) - ARIE, San Juan de Lurigancho (SJL) branch, 2022. Materials and methods: A descriptive and cross-sectional study at Instituto para el Desarrollo Infantil - ARIE, SJL branch. Lima Peru. All parents (n = 79) with children aged ≤ 8 years with ASD who were undergoing therapy in 2022 were included; therefore, sampling was not required. The PSI/SF (Parenting Stress Index, Short Form) was used to measure stress in parents. This instrument has been used in other research studies, validating it with a Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.93 to determine parental stress. The variables sex of the parent, sex of the child, age, level of education and type of family were analyzed with SPSS V.27 using descriptive statistics and chi-square test. Results: A total of 79 parents were surveyed: average age 35.20, SD 5.217, predominantly females (68.35 %). Of the parents, 73.41 % had higher education. Parental stress perceived by mothers (83.33 %) was slightly higher than that of fathers (60 %) (p < 0.05). There is an association between the level of parental stress and the sex of the child, with males (82.1 %) causing more stress compared to females (60.9 %). Single-parent families have shown a higher level of stress, with 95.46 %, as opposed to two-parent families, with 64.42 %) (p < 0.05). Conclusions: Most parents with children with ASD experience clinically significant stress, with scores greater than 90, with mothers having a higher degree of stress. In recent years in advanced societies a process of individualization has been consolidated in the different social institutions, also in families. Manifesting itself in diverse and complex ways. This article describes and analyzes the irruption of pets in Spanish homes (also catalan) and aims to understand the motivations of families (their members) to live with pets. A relationship was established between the decrease in family members and the entry of pets into homes. Relevant literature, quantitative data and 10 in-depth interviews were used for the research: 5 parents and 5 young adults knowledgeable about the subject. They have explained their reflections, experiences and experiences on pets highlighting their importance and significance. People without experiences and relationships (past and/or present) with domestic animals are considered a waste of time, resources...; on the contrary, those pet caregivers value their emotional and affective contributions and their role in increasing their well-being. The Intensive Care are complex units, the simple fact of being admitted there generates anxiety, both for patients and family members. These patients suffer from an acute condition or disease which threatens their life, which makes the context of intensive care stressful. At present, great importance is given to the relationship between health personnel and the patient and their families, where the fundamental matter is to satisfy their needs, alongside an excellent medical care. Satisfying the informational needs of family members by providing them with simple and real information is one of the aspects needed to be taken into account. Adequate communication together with a humanized treatment by health personnel and the participation of family members in the patient's care produces very positive benefits for him and his family. The study of the history of education from a gender perspective in rural environments is a new line of research. The aim of this study is to analyse the role of the family context and educational policies in the continuity and transformation of female education in rural areas during Franco's Spain. Information was collected through 29 interviews with women between the ages of 45 and 95. The results obtained reveal that both elements played a fundamental role: in the first stage of Franco's dictatorship (1939-1959), female education was conditioned by (i) the lack of family awareness which resulted in high rates of female absenteeism, (ii) the patriarchal system and educational policies linked to National-Catholicism which promoted a new model of femineity linked to the home. It was from the 1960s onwards that the first generation of rural female students was born. They finished primary school and went on to Secondary Education thanks to school homes, challenge baccalaureate exams, technical colleges for women, and, above all, the influence of their families, especially their mothers, who encouraged them to study and to leave behind old female role models. This article conducts a comparative analysis of the anti-rights narratives presented during the parliamentary debates on the decriminalization of voluntary abortion in Mexico and Argentina from 2018 to 2022. Four main categories were identified, the first being the technocratization of Catholic and Evangelical religious discourse, strategically based on scientific and legal arguments through a rhetoric of fear. The second was the deterministic denunciation of the failure of the state, its institutions, and public policies to address social problems such as violence against women, insecurity, and poverty. The third consisted of the proposal of alternatives based on the defense of the traditional family, such as adoption from conception or the debureaucratization of adoption. The fourth and last category comprised a discursive shift appropriating arguments from feminist militancy while suppressing the principle of secularism, omitting the existence of the lgbtiq+ movement and manipulating the rhetorical device of gender ideology. The family is a social construct whose structure and functions undergo transformations based on the political, social, economic context, and geographical location. It constitutes the natural and fundamental unit of society and, as such, is entitled to protection from both society and the State. The contemporary notion of family differs significantly from that of previous centuries. The phenomenon of globalization, characterized by the continuous flow of knowledge, customs, ideologies, and policies across all domains, prompts reflection on the evolving concept of family and its diverse forms, necessitating corresponding adjustments in its protection. This study aims to identify the factors influencing family protection and the repercussions resulting from legal loopholes. Anxiety is a problem that has increased in the adolescent population in recent years, primarily due to the Covid-19 pandemic. On the other hand, affective and emotional stability in adolescence stage can be threatened by parental conflicts, which link to the relationship among family members. Frequently roles are reversed, with the children being those who take on the role of parents or caregivers. The present single-case study, sought to implement and evaluate a psychological intervention that allows us to understand how Integrative Therapy works in working on parental conflicts, which, in turn, increase anxiety levels. The psychotherapeutic process included forty sessions along three phases: diagnosis, intervention, and closure. At the end of the intervention, significant progress resulted in anxiety management. Similarly, the patient managed to improve her interpersonal and family relationships since she learned to set limits that, in turn, reduced the conflict with her parents. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Parenting Styles (PS) have been mostly investigated from a quantitative approach; Likewise, the use of ATLAS.ti Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the analysis of articles can be an important tool for researchers. Introduction. The study of CE continues to evolve, therefore, a review study can give us more information about this construct. Goals. As a first objective, to know which methodology is most common in research on CE. As a second objective, which concepts are most considered by EC researchers. As a third objective, which emerging codes are the most frequent in the analysis of the selected articles; Finally, as a fourth objective, what advantages does the use of ATLAS.ti AI provide for the analysis of articles. Methods. The systematic review of ten articles on CE has been chosen, from the Web of Science database, published between the years 2020 – 2024; using ATLAS.ti AI to analyze the selected articles. Results. Most research on CE has been approached from a quantitative approach. The concepts most used by researchers are parenting styles, behavior, family, children, among others. The most frequent emerging codes are: parenting styles, emotional intelligence, adolescents and self-esteem. The ATLAS.ti AI greatly helps the analysis and synthesis of the selected articles. Conclusions. More research is needed on parenting styles, using a qualitative approach. ECs play an influential role in the comprehensive development of children. The use of AI, ATLAS.ti, may present some errors such as repetition, non-discrimination between languages, syntax and semantic errors in the summaries, however, with the necessary verification, it becomes an extremely interesting tool. The importance of the family environment on students' educational performance has been a growing topic of interest in educational research. This study set out to investigate how the family can positively influence the academic performance of children in the second year of General Basic Education. A quasi-experimental study was carried out in the Unidad Educativa Ambato, where workshops designed to improve parental involvement in their children's educational process were implemented. The sample consisted of 26 students and their parents, who participated in eight workshops during the second semester of 2023. Various methods and techniques, such as pretest/posttest analysis, analysis of variance (ANOVA), related samples t-tests, Wilcoxon tests and regression analysis, were used to assess changes in academic performance, motivation and classroom behaviour before and after the intervention. The results obtained indicated significant improvements in grades, as well as in academic motivation and classroom behaviour, after participation in the workshops. In addition, regression analysis revealed that both intrafamilial communication and workshop attendance were significant predictors of academic performance, with an overall model fit of R² = 0.45 (p < 0.001). These findings highlight the importance of parents‘ active involvement in their children's educational process and underline the positive impact that family awareness programmes can have on students’ academic performance. The aim of this article is to analyze the family wealth management strategies deployed by women around Melipilla (Chile) during the 1810-1837 period. We have been able to establish that this period was particularly complex in the lives of both popular and elite families, due to the contingencies imposed by the War of Independence and the civil conflicts associated with the construction of the State. Despite this, women who found themselves alone, due to the recruitment, escape or imprisonment of their husbands, fathers, or sons, managed to carry out different initiatives of wealth management, such as the purchase, sale and lease of land, houses and belongings, as well as the development of small productive and commercial enterprises.
