How do firms benefit from integrated enterprise systems (IES), and how does the IES implementation strategy influence the returns from IES? We investigated the implementation strategy that firms should follow to integrate multiple enterprise systems regarding the timing of adoption and the richness of modules. Borrowing theories from software development literature and enterprise system implementation literature, we developed two IES implementation strategies, i.e., the agile strategy (simple, quick, and flexible) and the phased strategy (rich, phased, and pre-determined). We collected a sample of 675 public firms from 1997 to 2004 at the module level, enabling us to distinguish enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems from customer relationship management (CRM) and supply chain management (SCM) systems. Our data contained the timing of purchase and "go-live" events of these system modules, helping us understand firms' detailed implementation decisions. We found that IES returns depend on the choices of ERP and CRM/SCM module foundation, ERP-CRM/SCM sequential connection, and the continued adoption of ERP and CRM/SCM modules. Fewer ERP or CRM/SCM modules at CRM/SCM go-live events, a quicker connection between ERP and CRM/SCM go-live events, and the continued adoption of ERP or CRM/SCM modules all were found to enhance IES returns. Our findings show that the agile strategy leads to more returns from IES than the phased strategy and suggest that firms should integrate multiple enterprise systems by going live with advanced system modules quickly after going live with basic enterprise system modules and by continually adding new modules. The COVID-19 pandemic highlights the necessity of sustainable solutions for the hybrid mode of operations. To overcome several challenges, including price optimisation, demand forecasting under uncertainty, supply-demand gap reduction, take into account vulnerability, competitive business environment and risk, the supply chain needs to be streamlined with technology-driven infrastructures incorporating physical and information flow into overall supply chain processes. The digitisation aspect encompasses adopting cutting-edge technologies such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) for supply chain visibility, e-hailing platforms, real-time data analytics, the Internet of Things (IoT) and Internet of Behaviour (IoB), blockchain-driven technology, as well as additive manufacturing, enabling seamless connectivity and communication among diverse stakeholders. This revolution enables strategic integration of various entities and state of the art data-driven decision-making, providing real-time insights into logistics movements, demand forecasting, production planning and inventory levels. Supply chain digitisation and management emphasises collaboration with supply chain partners to identify important factors, optimise costs and enhance overall supply chain resilience. Digitisation and management are technological evolutions and strategic shifts integrating analytical tools, allowing businesses to formulate models to improve performance. The implementation of blockchain-driven technology solidifies trust and safety transactions by creating an immutable and transparent log, mitigating threats and enhancing traceability. In this article, the authors conducted a systematic research of the legal areas of improvement of the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine. The relevance of the research is due to the fact that at this stage of the State Agency's activities there are a number of unresolved legal issues that require regulatory regulation, in particular, the establishment of a «legislative framework» for the reconstruction processes, distribution of powers between it, state and local authorities and other participants in the reconstruction process, introduction of an electronic document flow system from the contractor to the Treasury, unification of decision-making procedures in regional reconstruction services, etc. It is established that the competence of the State Agency was significantly changed after the full-scale invasion of the russian federation, in particular, in terms of ensuring the elimination of the consequences of armed aggression and reconstruction of infrastructure. That is why, given the short period of the State Agency's functioning, the authors have analysed the key legal acts on the reconstruction and direct activities of this body, the involvement of international technical assistance in the reconstruction processes in Ukraine, and identified areas for improving its activities in accordance with the leading international practices and standards. On the basis of this analysis, the authors focus on the need to adopt a separate law to define the charter of the State Agency for the Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine. It is substantiated that it would be strategically prudent to adopt the Law of Ukraine «On the Basic Principles of Reconstruction of Ukraine» (working title), which would provide for a special status for the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine. It is concluded that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine should decide to increase the number of employees of the State Agency to 190 and to enshrine the plan for the State Agency's capacity and transformation in the Government's programme documents. The State Agency is recommended to develop a target operating model of the Agency's IT strategy and automation of business processes of the Reconstruction Services (in particular, ERP systems), and document management systems. This research paper conducts a systematic review of the integration of blockchain technology with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, a burgeoning field at the intersection of advanced technology and business management. The primary objective is to bridge the knowledge gap by synthesizing existing literature, providing insights into the current state, challenges, and potential of blockchain in enhancing ERP systems. The study follows a structured methodology involving four key stages: Literature Retrieval, Literature Screening, Biblio-metric Analysis, and Content Analysis. A comprehensive literature search in the Scopus database resulted in the identification and analysis of 250 scholarly articles, narrowed down to 66 relevant publications. The findings highlight a significant trend towards decentralized ERP solutions, driven by blockchain's promise of enhanced security, transparency, and efficiency. Key areas impacted by blockchain integration include supply chain management, accounting, security, traceability, purchasing, and process automation within ERP systems. The bibliometric analysis reveals a growing academic interest in this domain, with a focus on scalability, data security, and interoperability. However, the integration faces challenges such as technical complexity, cultural resistance, and regulatory uncertainties. The study concludes that while blockchain presents transformative opportunities for ERP systems, realizing this potential requires overcoming substantial technical and organizational hurdles. Future research should concentrate on developing scalable, interoperable blockchain solutions, tailored to specific industry needs and compliant with regulatory standards, thereby facilitating widespread adoption and maximizing the benefits of blockchain in ERP systems. Business process management has become increasingly important in the manufacturing sector, playing a vital role in fostering productivity and facilitating organizational adaptability to technological advancements. Although each company's business process models vary in uniqueness and complexity, certain similarities can be identified from these differences. This study employs a systematic literature review to aggregate and summarize findings on business process models, modeling languages, clustering techniques, and foundational clustering principles. Results demonstrate the dearth of research on the grouping of business process models in the manufacturing industry. Several studies have focused on sectors such as services, trading, and insurance. Research specifically addressing clustering in the manufacturing sector is limited. Existing clustering efforts in manufacturing revolve around groupings related to product defects, industrial locations, business ecosystems, and similar factors. Analysis of the methods, scope, and criteria used in grouping business process models in the manufacturing industry indicates that most approaches rely on structural or graphic similarities. Follow-up research is lacking once these business process clusters are identified. This study proposes a novel approach to grouping, integrating business process modeling with the implementation of a management information system. Business process management relies on integrating departments within the company through an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. The next step involves proposing a conceptual framework to categorize business processes and assess the comparability of models in the manufacturing sector. The idea(l) of 'legitimate peripheral participation' remains at the heart of debates over the nature and potential of communities of practice. Yet the question of how the legitimacy or otherwise of participation is actually established is seldom addressed. In this article, we focus on 'legitimacy' as figure instead of ground. We attend to the 'displays of competence', and their associated 'labours of division', by means of which 'practitioners' claim recognition and are made recognisable to each other as members, or non-members, of an 'us'. We seek to understand how members come to recognise particular 'doings' and forms of knowledge as belonging (or not belonging) to a particular practice. How is the common 'domain' (communis) of practice settled (or un-settled) in the course of specific performances of membership? Empirically, the article draws upon a 2-year investigation of how community of practice boundaries and participation were negotiated in 'UltraGlass Plc', a multinational manufacturing company, and specifically of the failure of 'community' to cohere around practices. The research aims to analyze risk management in the adoption of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). ERP currently widely used, however limited research focus on risk management adoption regarding technological and information system. Digital transformation encourages SMEs to adopt information technology to streamline business processes, especially ERP. Through a comprehensive investigation involving 85 SME owners, the study focuses on ERP risk management. The analysis is conducted by identifying, mapping, and assessing severity. Additionally, data is analyzed using a neural network to explain the satisfaction level of ERP adoption. The research identifies several key risk factors, including vendor stability, data security, system downtime, and inadequate support. Based on research result, risk management underscores the need for robust encryption protocols, access controls, and regular security audits to mitigate the risks of data breaches, unauthorized access, and the compromise of critical business data. The research is reliable in illustrating ERP adoption risks, with a 98.3% correct prediction rate. The novelty of this research lies in its identification and mapping of risk factors in ERP adoption for SMEs, serving as an alternative reference for determining information technology improvements. The risk–benefit analysis of ERP implementation is worth investigating to optimize the efficiency of ERP deployment in the construction sector. This study investigates the factors affecting the dissipation of ERP through diffusion models in developing countries. Moreover, it suggests a strategy to adopt ERP modules that optimize process integration and project efficiency through the priority factors method. According to the study, the internal model best describes the studied modules, and it suggests that imitative behavior and word of mouth significantly influence ERP adoption in the Africa and Middle East regions. This research concludes with an optimized order for deploying ERP modules based on the importance, urgency, and ease of implementation of each module. It is as follows: work progress (500), budgeting (405), procurement (343), site operations (280), planning and scheduling (270), accounting (252), inventory management (126), document control (90), and tendering (6). Therefore, it can be concluded that this study fills the research gap of ERP module adoption using diffusion models and priority factors within the construction industry, specifically in the specified regions. Environmental impact reporting has become a lynchpin for global agri-food supply chain decision-making. This importance has become heightened as governing bodies such as the European Union pass traceability legislation in an effort to reduce Scope 3 emissions. Despite this heightened importance, few studies have explored the role of supply chain management software in achieving sustainability goals within the agribusiness sector. This article provides a current perspective on ongoing supply chain and logistics software issues that might restrict the effectiveness of sustainability reporting. We argue that agribusinesses may struggle to achieve sustainability targets effectively without proficiency in supply chain software. This research contributes to the field by offering a nuanced understanding of the technological competencies required for sustainability success in agribusiness. This article highlights the importance of developing and implementing advanced supply chain management software to address the need for enhanced sustainability practices within the agribusiness sector. Using interviews with pre-farmgate and post-farmgate agribusiness employees, we demonstrate how these software skills will likely impact sustainability reporting and governance. Managerial implications also include the need for targeted skill development to facilitate more sustainable agribusiness management practices, as mastering such technological competencies is critical for adhering to evolving global environmental standards. Some special manufacturing fields such as aerospace may encounter mixed production of multiple research and development projects and multiple batch production projects. Under these special production conditions resource conflicts are more severe, resulting in uncertain operating times that are difficult to predict. In addition, a single project may have tens of thousands of supporting products, making it difficult to effectively control the total construction process. To address these challenges this paper proposes new methods. A model, EMA-DCPM (dynamic critical path method) incorporating attention mechanisms in Enterprise Resource Planning and Mechanical Engineering Society) has been proposed. This model predicts product job time through machine learning methods and discovers the predictive advantage of the attention mechanism through data comparison. The CPM control algorithm was improved to enhance its robustness and an efficient modeling method, "5+X" was proposed. This study examines the impact of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system implementation on the roles and skills of management accountants within production companies. Utilizing a dual-method approach of structured email questionnaires and telephone interviews, our findings reveal a significant shift towards more strategic roles and enhanced skill requirements post-ERP implementation. This article examines the tensions and complexities that arose between the United States and the United Kingdom after World War II. The British Labour Party's victory in the 1945 general election, with its promises of nationalization and social welfare programs, caused concern among U.S. conservatives. The United States provided financial aid to the UK, but this aid came with conditions that influenced the shape of the British welfare state. The negotiations for a loan between John Maynard Keynes and the United States government were influenced by the Labour government's domestic policies. The loan was approved, but the conditions proved challenging for the British government. The article also discusses the impact of U.S. tobacco imports on the UK's economy and social welfare system, as well as the relationship between U.S. economic aid and the development of social welfare policies in Western Europe. Purpose: Organizational technologies can be classified according to the roles they play as either commodity or strategic. Commodity technologies support common operations, while strategic technologies address perceived threats to competitiveness, often identified by strategic foresight. These must go through an adoption process before playing an effective role in strategy execution. The adoption process includes known activities, ranging from sourcing (itself from in-house development to turn-key acquisition) to operational integration. This paper aims to reveal strategic technology adoption risks that arise during strategy execution. Design/methodology/approach: A gradually developed causal loop diagram model, supported by general literature, introduces three general classes of technology adoption risks: mismatched requirements, supplier dependence and unmanaged life cycles. Findings: Rather than managed, these risks are incurred or avoided depending on decisions made during the adoption process. Research limitations/implications: Despite the scarce literature coverage for the approach, examples revealing the presence of adoption risks are nevertheless available in the well-documented history of enterprise resource planning (ERP). Practical implications: Although ERP is presented as a general-purpose strategic technology, the unique business features of maritime container terminals pose serious challenges to its adoption, which provides additional support to the discussion and reinforces the conclusions. Originality/value: The approach to identifying risks in strategic technology adoption departs from the current risk paradigm in two significant ways. In the context of Industry 4.0, intelligent manufacturing systems are the key to creating higher value-added processes and services that enable product customization. This is made possible by dynamically reconfiguring manufacturing systems based on customer needs. Robotic Process Automation (RPA) in manufacturing should only be implemented after correctly identifying those processes that can be automated. Management support for the implementation of RPA is required at all stages. RPA must be integrated into the company in convergence with the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system in place. The study presents an applied research, the aim of which is a project to integrate advanced technologies for automated manufacturing of three-dimensional (3D) digital model objects into the production process management system of a factory in the automotive industry. The automotive sector needs to enable the use of artificial intelligence in terms of open innovation in both manufacturing and management. Research results show that robotic process automation is a key factor in transforming the business process in an automotive factory. This research aims to evaluate the development of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) service system at CV. Syntax Corporation Indonesia uses the IT-IL V3 framework, especially in the Service Operations domain. This research is conducted by analyzing the performance and effectiveness of the ERP system that has been implemented, as well as how the system supports the company's daily business operations. Through an IT-IL V3-based evaluation approach, the study assessed critical aspects of ERP service operations such as incident management, problem management, and request management. The findings of this study provide insights into the strengths and weaknesses in the ERP system implementation at the company, as well as recommendations for improvements that can increase efficiency and user satisfaction. Laboratory management in Educational Institutions is important to support students' practical learning because laboratories are a means for students to delve into the material directly. An important aspect of laboratory management is budget management and consumables. Not a few Educational Institutions use spreadsheets to manage the budget and procurement of Consumables, which are often inefficient and poorly integrated. These limitations make it difficult to monitor budgets and the status of goods requests in real-time, hinder transparency, and increase the risk of human error, which can ultimately reduce accountability in laboratory management. This research aims to develop a more integrated budget management and procurement system for Consumables using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) with Odoo software, involving the Accounting and Purchase modules. The QuickStart method is used to ensure smooth implementation by actively involving users throughout the development cycle. This system includes budget creation and monitoring, purchase order creation, and validation of goods received. The results of the Black Box Testing and Expert Judgement show that the developed system has met all the testing objectives, although improvements are still needed, such as the addition of graphs for budget visualization. Enterprise resource planning (ERP) system selection involves multiple evaluation attributes with interaction. It can be attributed to a type of interactive multi-attribute group decision making (MAGDM). Linguistic hesitant fuzzy sets (LHFSs) are powerful tools to represent the uncertainty, hesitancy, and inconsistency of decision makers' (DMs') preference. This article proposes two new methods for interactive MAGDM with LHFSs based on comprehensive cloud (CC) power geometric (PG) aggregation operators. First, the CC of LHFS is defined and a distance measure between two CCs is offered. Considering the interaction among the aggregated LHFSs, we develop some CC PG aggregation operators of LHFSs. An uncertainty degree of LHFS is defined. Then, an approach is developed to derive the weights of DMs. An approach is proposed to derive the comprehensive attribute weights. This study examines integrating Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems with performance management (PM) practices in the UAE healthcare sector, identifying key factors for successful adoption. It addresses a critical gap by analyzing the interplay between ERP systems and PM to enhance operational efficiency, patient care, and administrative processes. A literature review identified thirty-six critical factors, refined through expert interviews to highlight nine weak integration areas and two new factors. An online survey with 81 experts, who rated the 38 factors on a five-point Likert scale, provided data to calculate the Relative Importance Index (RII). The results reveal that employee involvement in performance metrics and effective organizational measures significantly impact system effectiveness and alignment. Mid-tier factors such as leadership and managerial support are essential for integration momentum, while foundational elements like infrastructure, scalability, security, and compliance are crucial for long-term success. The study recommends a holistic approach to these factors to maximize ERP benefits, offering insights for healthcare administrators and policymakers. Additionally, it highlights the need to address the challenges, opportunities, and ethical considerations associated with using digital health technology in healthcare. The study evaluates the effectiveness and implications of combining these technologies. It provides examples of these integrated systems in action, particularly in resource-limited settings, and evaluates their potential to improve care. This research highlights the challenges that developing countries face managing room reservations within institutions. Nigeria and the Philippines lack transparency and real-time information, leading to confusion and inefficiency. Pakistan, the absence of an online system hinders access and raises data security concerns. Indonesia, the manual reservation process wastes time and creates uncertainty. The purpose of this research emphasizes the need for an online room reservation system to address issues such as transparency, real-time information, and efficiency. This research explores and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system as a potential solution. Odoo Quickstart methodology was used to design and implement this solution. The Quickstart was chosen due to its affordability, flexibility and ease of modification. Odoo was chosen for its flexibility and configurability, allowing it to be customized and combined to meet the needs. The rental module in Odoo supports room reservation requirements by providing reservation form, schedule, delivery, and return functions in a single interface. Overall, the results of this study advocate for implementing an online room reservation system to improve the reservation process within educational institutions in developing countries. This comprehensive study delves into the motivations behind the adoption and the functionalities of Human Resource Management (HRM) systems in Polish enterprises. It explores the key drivers for implementing these systems, primarily focusing on enhancing recruitment processes, effective team management, and maximizing employee skill and qualification utilization. The research uncovers that the most frequently employed features of these HRM systems include employee development, performance evaluation, and team composition management. Additionally, it highlights the challenges encountered during the implementation phase, such as the scarcity of skilled personnel and concerns regarding data security. The study concludes by emphasizing the proactive engagement of Polish enterprises in integrating modern HRM technologies. Social enterprises (SEs) are claimed to be able to address "wicked social problems1" in various policy instruments and governance models. However, doubts have been raised about whether the hybrid nature results in fundamental challenges that could prevent SEs from becoming ideal and sustainable public service organizations. Drawing upon organizational resilience literature, this article reveals two trade‐offs between social and business service qualities when SEs seek long‐term solutions to the challenges in delivering public services. This article argues that SEs—employing different hybrid models, emphasizing social or business service quality—jointly can overcome the trade‐offs to deliver sustainable and accountable public services at the public service contract level and the individual user's level. Objectives: To employ a drug supply chain information system to optimize drug management practices, reducing costs and improving efficiency in financial and asset management. Methods: A digital artificial intelligence + vendor managed inventory (AI+VMI)-based systemfor drug supply chain information management in hospitals has been established. The system enables digitalization and intelligentization of purchasing plans, reconciliations, and consumption settlements while generating purchase, sales, inventory reports as well as various query reports. The indicators for evaluating the effectiveness before and after project implementation encompass drug loss reporting, inventory discrepancies, inter-hospital medication retrieval frequency, drug expenditure, and cloud pharmacy service utilization. Results: The successful implementation of this system has reduced the hospital inventory rate to approximately 20% and decreased the average annual inventory error rate from 0.425? to 0.025?, significantly boosting drug supply chain efficiency by 42.4%. It has also minimized errors in drug application, allocation, and distribution while increasing adverse reaction reports. Drug management across multiple hospital districts has been standardized, leading to improved access to medicines and enhanced patient satisfaction. Conclusion: The AI+VMI system improves drug supply chain management by ensuring security, reducing costs, enhancing efficiency and safety of drug management, and elevating the professional competence and service level of pharmaceutical personnel. The COVID-19 pandemic has necessitated profound changes in the business and technology landscapes, compelling organizations to reassess their Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. This paper uses Likert's five-point method to design questionnaires, obtain original data, and apply structural equation models. Recent advancements in Enterprise Information Systems (EISs) have transitioned from primarily supporting operational and tactical processes to enabling strategic decision-making through integrated analytics. This systematic review critically examines global literature from 2010 to 2023, focusing on the factors influencing the adoption of analytical components in EISs and assessing their impact on strategic decision-making in organizations. Following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, we meticulously selected and reviewed articles from the Scopus database, employing a robust taxonomy based on the technology–organization–environment (TOE) framework to categorize findings. Our methodology involved a thorough screening of 234 studies, leading to a final analysis of 45 peer-reviewed articles that met our stringent criteria. These studies collectively underscore a significant gap in organizational capabilities, notably in the business ecosystems surrounding EISs, which hampers the effective adoption and utilization of advanced analytics. The results highlight a distinct need for improved understanding and implementation strategies for integrated analytics within EISs to enhance strategic decision-making processes. We examine whether Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP) usage affects the stock price crash risk of Chinese firms, and whether the effect differs between state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and non-SOEs. We find that ERP usage is associated with lower stock price crash risk, but this pattern is largely concentrated in non-SOEs, consistent with our arguments that more acute shareholder-manager agency problem and more organizational rigidity can inhibit the successful assimilation of ERP. The results are further confirmed by a difference-in-differences analysis exploiting the privatization of SOEs as a negative shock to their shareholder-manager agency problem and organizational rigidity. Three channels help explain why ERP usage helps lower stock price crash risk: it improves the quality of internal control, reduces the chance of financial restatements, and mitigates information asymmetry, and all effects are concentrated in non-SOEs. Our study is among the first to examine how ERP usage affects stock price crash risk – an overall outcome measure of a firm's information environment. The public sector has long been criticized because the private sector is often considered more advanced and efficient in achieving its goals.
