4. Employee satisfaction and stress level in two selected manufacturing companies

V magistrski nalogi smo na podlagi izbrane literature predstavili pomen ravnanja z ljudmi pri delu, pomembnost pridobitve standardov kakovosti ter pomen človeškega kapitala za podjetje kot intelektualne lastnine. Zadovoljstvo zaposlenih ima velik vpliv na uspešnost podjetja. Opredelili smo zadovoljstvo zaposlenih ter ključne dejavnike zadovoljstva zaposlenih. Razložili in opredelili smo stres na delovnem mestu, dejavnike, ki ga povzročajo, ter vzroke. Poudarek smo dali predstavitvi negativnega in pozitivnega stresa ter kakšne posledice ima na osebo. Opisali smo bolezni, povezane s stresom, ter kakšni stroški nastanejo zaradi stresa. Predstavili smo delovanje Evropske agencije za varnost in zdravje pri delu ter kakšen pomen ima pravilno obvladovanje stresa in psihosocialnih tveganj. Zadovoljstvo zaposlenih in vplive stresa smo preverili v praktičnem delu magistrske naloge. Empirično nalogo zajema anketa, s katero smo ugotavljali zadovoljstvo zaposlenih in stopnjo stresa v dveh izbranih podjetij. Štiri hipoteze smo s pomočjo ankete potrdili oziroma ovrgli. Ugotovitev glavne hipoteze je, da je stres tesno povezan z zadovoljstvom zaposlenih. In this master's thesis, based on selected literature, we presented the importance of personnel management, the importance of obtaining quality standards and the importance of human capital as intellectual property for the company. Employee satisfaction has a big impact on the company’s performance. We defined employee satisfaction and key factors of employee satisfaction. We explained and defined workplace stress, the factors that cause it, and the causes. We emphasized the presentation of negative and positive stress and what consequences it has on a person. We described stress-related illnesses and what are the costs due to stress. We presented the work of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work and the importance of proper stress management and psychosocial risks. Employee satisfaction and impacts of stress were checked in the practical part of the master's thesis. The empirical thesis includes a survey, which was used to determine employee satisfaction and the level of stress in two selected companies. We used a survey to confirm or refute four hypotheses. The finding of the main hypotheses was that stress is closely related to employee satisfaction.

Prispevek predstavlja in komentira rezultate empirične raziskave (spletna anketa), nastale v okviru CRP Jezikovna politika republike Slovenije in potrebe uporabnikov, in le v tistem delu, ki daje uvid v to, koliko uporabniki poznajo in rabijo priročnike o narečni slovenščini ter kaj potrebujejo in čemu dajejo prednost. Pridani so še rezultati krajše in še bolj ciljno usmerjene ankete na zelo majhnem vzorcu. This paper presents and analyses the results of empirical research (online survey) created in the framework of the CRP Jezikovna politika republike Slovenije in potrebe uporabnikov 'Language Policy of the Republic of Slovenia and the needs of users'. In the paper we are only interested in the part that gives us an insight into how much users know and use handbooks and manuals on Slovenian dialects, what they need and what they prefer. The results of a shorter and even more targeted survey on a very small sample have also been added.

V prispevku se osredotočam na govorno izražanje v gledališču, predvsem na potrebe jezikovnih uporabnikov (igralcev, lektorjev idr.) in njihovo jezikovno opremljenost. Po pregledu zakonodajnih in drugih pravno veljavnih dokumentov (Zakon o javni rabi slovenščine , Zakon o medijih , Zakon o uresničevanju javnega interesa za kulturo in Resolucija o nacionalnem programu za kulturo 2014-2017) ter po izvedbi in interpretaciji rezultatov empirične raziskave ugotavljam, da je veljavna zakonodaja s področja jezika (govora) v gledališču primerna, profesionalni uporabniki pa bi potrebovali nekatere jezikovne priročnike (pravorečni priročnik, terminološki slovarji) in zbir smernic o neknjižnih zvrsteh jezika. In the article we focus on speech expression in theatre, predominantly on the needs of the users of the language (actors, language consultants, etc.) and the level of their language equipment. After an overview of the legislation and other legal documents (Public Use of the Slovene Language Act, Media Act, Exercising of the Public Interest in Culture Act and Resolution on the 2014-2017 National Programme for Culture) as well as after interpreting the results of empirical research we find that the current legislation from the field of language (speech) in theatre is adequate and that professional users would need several linguistic manuals (pronunciation guide, terminological dictionary) and a selection of guidelines about non-standard language forms.

Background and Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to empirically analyse the effects of sustainability-oriented innovation practices on the overall organizational performance. Further, this paper also aims to advance understanding of the measurement of corporate sustainability practices with the focus on innovation dimensions. Design/Methodology/Approach: The study uses data obtained from a survey of 116 organizations encompassing both the manufacturing and service industries in Slovenia. Descriptive statistics were used in order to determine the level of sustainability-oriented innovation practices deployment. Exploratory factor analysis was applied to extract the underlying factors and to provide a basis for assessing their reliability and validity. In addition, regression analysis was used to quantify the effect of sustainability practices on the organizational performance. Results: Data analysis result showed that sustainability-oriented innovation practices are significantly associated with organizational performance. Therefore, empirical evidence from this research confirmed the premise that building innovation competencies and integrating innovation activities in organization’s processes lead to performance benefits. This contributes to the debate about the potential for organizations to be sustainable and competitive. Conclusion: The presented research on corporate sustainability provides important theoretical and practical insights on which the deployment of sustainability-oriented innovation practices are conducive to fostering a broader set of performance benefits. As such, managers should increase organizations’ capacity for innovation which can be beneficial in terms of performance implications and achieving sustainability goals Ozadje in namen: Poglavitni namen članka je predstaviti empirično raziskavo o vplivu dejavnosti trajnostnega razvoja, ki so osredotočene na inovativnost, na celokupno učinkovitost in uspešnost organizacije. Namen članka je prav tako izboljšati razumevanje operacionalizacije spremenljivk dejavnosti trajnostnega razvoja, s poudarkom na dimenzijahinovativnosti. Zasnova in metodologija: Pričujoči članek temelji na anketni raziskavi, na osnovi katere smo pridobili 116 uporabnih odgovorov s strani slovenskih proizvodnih in storitvenih organizacij. S pomočjo faktorske analize smo preverili konvergentno veljavnost merjenega konstrukta in s tem oblikovali posamezne dimenzije na inventivnost osredotočenih dejavnosti trajnostnega razvoja organizacije. Vplive na inventivnost osredotočenih dejavnosti trajnostnega razvoja na celokupno učinkovitost in uspešnost organizacije smo proučevali s pomočjo regresijske analize. Rezultati: – Rezultati raziskave so pokazali, da na inventivnost osredotočene dejavnosti trajnostnega razvoja pozitivno in statistično značilno vplivajo na celokupno učinkovitost in uspešnost organizacije. Rezultati raziskave so torej potrdili predpostavko, da razvoj kompetenc na področju inovativnosti in vključitev le-teh v procese organizacije, prinese številne koristi za organizacijo. Na ta način članek prispeva k razpravi o priložnostih in možnostih organizacije, da razvijakonkurenčne prednosti in hkrati prispeva k trajnostnemu razvoju. Zaključek: Raziskava doprinaša pomembne teoretične in praktične vpoglede na področju trajnostnega razvojaorganizacije in prikazuje pomembnost izvajanja na inventivnost osredotočenih dejavnosti trajnostnega razvoja z vidika doseganja učinkovitosti in uspešnosti organizacije. Izsledki raziskave poudarjajo vlogo vodstva, ki mora spodbujati povečevanje sposobnosti organizacije na področju inovativnosti, saj organizacije lahko posledično izboljšujejo različne segmente učinkovitosti in uspešnosti ter hkrati dosegajo cilje trajnostnega razvoja.

10. The limitations of mathematical modeling in high school physics education

Theoretical analysis of the key constraints that occur in the transmission of mathematical modeling of dynamical systems into field of physics education in secondary schools is presented. In an effort to explore the extent to which current physics education promotes understanding of models and modeling ,metoda modeliranja ,while the other two half of the analyzed simplifications do not explain. It also turns out that the vast majority of solved tasks in all the textbooks do not explicitly represent model a ,izobraževanje ,poučevanje fizike ,poenostavljeni modeli ,we analyze the curriculum and the three most commonly used textbooks for high school physics. We focus primarily on the representation of the various stages of modeling in the solved tasks in textbooks and on the presentation of certain simplifications and idealizations ,fizika ,which are in high school physics frequently used. Tema doktorske disertacije sodi na področje didaktike fizike. Predstavljena je teoretična analiza ključnih omejitev, ki se pojavljajo pri prenosu matematičnega modeliranja dinamičnih sistemov v pouk fizike v srednjih šolah. V želji raziskati, v kolikšni meri sedanji pouk fizike spodbuja razumevanje modelov in modeliranja, analiziramo učni načrt in tri najpogosteje uporabljene učbenike za gimnazijsko fiziko. Osredotočimo se predvsem na zastopanost posameznih faz modeliranja pri rešenih primerih v učbenikih ter na predstavitev nekaterih poenostavitev in idealizacij, ki se jih na področju srednješolske fizike pogosto poslužujemo. Pokažemo, da eden od učbenikov v večini primerov korektno in smiselno predstavi poenostavitve v tekstu, medtem ko druga dva polovice analiziranih poenostavitev ne pojasnita. Prav tako se izkaže, da velika večina rešenih primerov v vseh učbenikih eksplicitno ne izpostavlja privzetih predpostavk, na podlagi česa lahko zaključimo, da pri pouku fizike v srednji šoli pri dijakih ne razvijamo v zadostni meri občutka za privzemanje poenostavitev in idealizacij, ki pa so ključni del faze konceptualne faze modeliranja. Za vpeljevanje modeliranja dinamičnih sistemov je pomembno tudi predznanje dijakov, zato izvedemo empirično raziskavo o tem, v kolikšni meri so dijaki v gimnaziji sposobni razumeti časovni razvoj nekaterih dinamičnih sistemov s področja fizike. Rezultati raziskave pokažejo pri dijakih zelo šibko razumevanje dinamike sistemov, v katerih se nahajajo povratne vezave in to ne glede na letnik ali zaključeno oceno pri fiziki in matematiki. Pri modeliranju dinamičnih sistemov pri pouku fizike v srednji šoli naletimo tudi na omejitve, ki so posledica pomanjkljivega matematičnega znanja dijakov, saj le-ti analitičnega reševanja diferencialnih enačb ne obvladajo. Pokažemo, da je pri obravnavi enodimenzionalnih dinamičnih sistemov smiseln geometrijski pristop k reševanju diferencialnih enačb, medtem ko se pri dinamičnih sistemih višjih dimenzij matematičnim omejitvam izognemo z uporabo grafično orientiranih programov za modeliranje. Ker pri reševanju štiri in več dimenzionalnih dinamičnih sistemov lahko naletimo na probleme pri numeričnem reševanju, pokažemo tudi, kako jih presežemo. Na primeru elektrostatičnega nihala prikažemo postopek modeliranja realnega dinamičnega sistema, pri čemer posebej poudarimo posamezne faze modeliranje in način preseganja omejitev, na katere pri razvoju modela naletimo. education, physics, didactics of physics, teaching physics, simplified models, modeling method, dynamical systems, empirical investigation, graphic oriented modeling programs.

11. STUDENTS' KNOWLEDGE OF ASTRONOMY IN THE FIRS TWO EDUCATIONAL PERIODS OF PRIMARY SCHOOL

V diplomskem delu smo raziskali, kolikšno je znanje učencev o astronomiji v 1. in 2. triletju osnovne šole in v kolikšni meri je to odvisno od stratuma, obsega in intenzitete podajanja astronomskih vsebin v šoli ter drugih, izvenšolskih dejavnikov (obiskovanje astronomskih krožkov, članstvo v astronomskih društvih, branje astronomskih revij in knjig, gledanje astronomskih oddaj, starši). V teoretičnem delu predstavimo pojem astronomija, astronomske vsebine v osnovni šoli, didaktične pristope in izzive pri poučevanju astronomije in vplive na znanje astronomije. V empiričnem delu predstavimo načrt raziskave in izvedbo le-te. Uporabili smo deskriptivno in kavzalno-neeksperimentalno metodo empiričnega pedagoškega raziskovanja. Rezultate smo pridobili s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika 725 učencev osmih osnovnih šol v Sloveniji in jih statistično preverili. Ugotovili smo, da je znanje učencev o astronomiji v splošnem pomanjkljivo in da ni odvisno od stratuma ter obsega in intenzitete podajanja astronomskih vsebin. Od drugih dejavnikov, naštetih zgoraj, pa je znanje odvisno samo od gledanja astronomskih oddaj – rezultati kažejo, da je znanje učencev, ki te oddaje gledajo, večje od tistih, ki jih ne gledajo. The aim of the thesis is to present what knowledge students in the first and the second educational period have of astronomy and to what degree it depends on the stratum, the extent and the intensity of delivering astronomy contents in school and other extracurricular factors (attending astronomy clubs, a membership in astronomy societies, reading astronomy magazines and books, watching astronomy TV-shows, parents). In the theoretical part, the concept of astronomy is presented, as well as astronomy contents in elementary school, didactic approaches and challenges that teachers face when teaching astronomy, and impacts on the knowledge of astronomy. In the empirical part, the outline of the research is presented, as well as the execution of the research. A descriptive and a causal non-experimental methods of empirical pedagogical reserach were used. The results were obtained by the help of a questionnaire that 725 students from eight Slovene elementary schools filled in. The results were statistically processed and showed that the students' knowledge of astronomy is in general insufficient and does not depend on the stratum nor on the extent and the intensity of delivering astronomy contents. As far as other above mentioned factors are concerned, the knowledge of astronomy only depends on watching astronomy TV-shows the results show that the students who watch such shows have greater knowledge of astronomy than those who do not.

12. The effectiveness of conceptual teaching of physics in secondary schools

Sodobna informacijska družba od mladega človeka pričakuje, da se bo po končanem izobraževanju znal prilagajati hitrim spremembam. Pričakuje posameznika, ki bo samoiniciativen, fleksibilen, motiviran, usposobljen za reševanje problemov in sposoben sprejemanja odločitev. Posledično postaja poučevanje vedno bolj kompleksno. Tradicionalni pristopi, ki učenca več ali manj postavljajo v položaj pasivnega poslušalca, ne sledijo spremembam v sodobno razvitem svetu. V zadnjih dveh desetletjih se zelo intenzivno iščejo novi učni pristopi v poučevanju, s ciljem izboljšati učni proces. Vpeljava konceptualnega pristopa poučevanja in učenja fizike (Conceptual Learning of Science – CoLoS) je postala ob izrednem napredku informacijsko komunikacijske tehnologije toliko bolj zanimiva tudi za tiste učitelje, ki so sicer bolj naklonjeni tradicionalnim učnim pristopom v poučevanju fizike. V obširni analizi novih učnih pristopov smo ugotovili, da je konceptualni pouk fizike že uveljavljen učni pristop, da pa še ne obstaja znanstveno preverjena raziskava o učinkovitosti konceptualnega učenja fizike v srednjih šolah. Namen raziskave je bil: • analizirati uspešnost konceptualnega pouka fizike, podprtega z izbranimi konceptualnimi modeli (fizleti), v primerjavi s tradicionalnim frontalnim poukom fizike v srednji šoli • s strategijo presoje kot dodatnim mehanizmom v pedagoškem eksperimentu analizirati uspešnost konceptualnega pouka fizike v doseganju višjih taksonomskih nivojev znanja • preučiti vplive opazovanih faktorjev na uspešnost izbranega učnega pristopa – spol testiranih dijakov in njihova predhodna ocena iz fizike. Doktorska disertacija je strukturirana iz dveh delov. V teoretičnem delu izpostavimo poglavitne razloge za uvedbo inovativnih didaktičnih (učnih) pristopov v sodobnem izobraževanju. Analiziramo stanje pouka fizike in naravoslovja nasploh. Posebej izpostavimo novejše rezultate mednarodnih raziskav TIMMS (Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study) in Pisa (Programme for International Student Assessment). V nadaljevanju predstavimo pregled raziskav o vlogi in pomenu sodobnih učnih pristopov pouka fizike ter raziskave na področju primerjav sodobnih učnih pristopov (podprtih z računalniškimi simulacijami) s tradicionalnimi pristopi pri pouku fizike. Nato predstavimo različne oblike pouka in metode poučevanja ter izpostavimo sodobnejše, za katere menimo, da so v luči vse hitrejšega razvoja sodobne tehnologije ustreznejše za poučevanje fizike v srednji šoli. Tradicionalni frontalni pouk fizike žal še vedno ostaja najpogostejša oblika poučevanja fizike v srednji šoli, zato ga posebej predstavljamo obenem izpostavljamo prednosti in pa predvsem slabosti te oblike pouka fizike, na katere opozarjajo številni raziskovalci doma in po svetu, in predstavljajo osnovni motiv inovativnih projektov na področju poučevanja fizike za iskanje novih, ustreznejših učnih pristopov k poučevanju fizike. Nadalje predstavljamo tri ključne komponente, ki bi jih moral vsebovati sodobni pouk fizike: problemski pouk, IKT pri pouku fizike in eksperiment pri pouku fizike. Omenjene komponente so ključne pri konceptualnem učenju fizike, ki ga podrobno obravnavamo – podamo njegove temeljne značilnosti in predstavimo njegovo razširjenost po svetu in pri nas. V ključnem delu teoretičnega dela disertacije postavimo model konceptualnega pouka fizike v slovenski srednji šoli in predstavimo strategije presoje kot analitični mehanizem za določitev taksonomskih nivojev globin znanja. Teoretični del zaključujemo z analizo starega in prenovljenega učnega načrta fizike za srednje šole, pri čemer poudarimo bistvene razlike obeh učnih načrtov in analiziramo možnosti uvajanja konceptualnega pouka fizike z ozirom na obstoječi učni načrt. Na osnovi zgoraj predstavljenih teoretičnih izhodišč smo pripravili komplet gradiv za izvedbo pedagoškega eksperimenta, s ciljem preveriti učinkovitost konceptualnega pouka fizike v srednji šoli: učne priprave za trad The modern information society expects, after the education process, a young person who will be able to deal with rapid changes in the world. Students are more and more often required to possess qualities such as: flexibility, initiative, motivation, and readiness to solve problems and accept decisions. In such conditions teaching has become a more complex process. In the traditional courses, where students are more or less just passive listeners, they are not able to develop such qualities. In the last two decades there have been many researchers who have been searching and developing new appropriate methods for improving teaching processes. With the rapid progress of information and communication technology the conceptual approach in teaching (Conceptual Learning of Science – CoLoS) is becoming ever more interesting, also for teachers who favour more traditional approaches in teaching physics. We found that in this area there is no scientific study provided that would offer empirical results about the effectiveness of conceptual teaching of physics in secondary schools. The purpose of this study is to: • Analyze the effectiveness of conceptual teaching of physics, supported with conceptual models (Physlets) in comparison to traditional frontal teaching of physics in secondary schools. • Use assessment strategies as an additional mechanism in a pedagogical experiment analyzing the success of conceptual teaching of physics in attaining higher taxonomic levels of knowledge. • Examine the effects of observed factors on the success of selected teaching approach: sex of tested students, previous mark of students in the physics subject. The thesis is structured into two parts. In the theoretical part, the main reasons for the incorporation of innovative didactical approaches in contemporary education are presented. We analyze trends in science and particularly in the teaching of physics. We present the recent results of the two international projects, TIMMS (Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study) and Pisa (Programme for International Student Assessment). Furthermore, we present research on the role of contemporary teaching approaches in teaching physics as well as research in the field of comparison of contemporary teaching approaches (supported with computer simulations) to traditional approaches in teaching physics. Next, we present different types of teaching forms and teaching methods and put emphasis on the contemporary one, which we believe are more appropriate for teaching physics in secondary schools in the sense of the rapid progress of modern technology. The traditional frontal teaching of physics is, unfortunately, still one of the most popular teaching forms in secondary schools, therefore we present it separately. At the same time we emphasize the advantages and, especially, the disadvantages of this form of teaching, on which there are warnings from many researchers at home and all over the world these disadvantages are the crucial motive of the innovative projects in the field of physics teaching searching for new, more appropriate teaching approaches in teaching physics. Then we present three key components that should be incorporated in contemporary physics teaching – problem-based learning, ICT in physics teaching and the experiment in physics teaching. These components are crucial in the conceptual learning of physics, which we present in detail – we present the main objectives of such learning and its acceptance in the Slovenian school system and all over the world. In the main part of the theoretical part of the thesis, we present the model of conceptual teaching of physics in secondary schools and assessment strategies as an effective mechanism for determining the levels of knowledge in physics and therefore as a useful mechanism to determine the success of this particular teaching approach. Cilj vsakega podjetja sta obstoj in nadaljnji razvoj, zato je opredeljevanje uspešne politike podjetja ključnega pomena. S tem lahko zmanjšamo razvojna tveganja ter zagotovimo nadaljnji obstoj in razvoj podjetja. Kot pravi Kralj (1999, 6): »Politika podjetja je orodje za obvladovanje podjetja, in izhaja iz upravljanja podjetja, v katerem se izoblikujejo smeri in sprejemajo za podjetje usodne odločitve, ter iz profesionalnega izvrševanja politike, ki je stvar managementa.« Magistrsko delo je razdeljeno na štiri poglavja. V uvodnem poglavju predstavljamo opredelitev področja in opis problema ter namen, cilje in osnovne trditve magistrske naloge. Navajamo tudi potek izvedbe raziskave, predpostavke in omejitve ter uporabljene metode raziskovanja. Drugo poglavje opisuje primerjalno proučitev politike podjetja v treh izbranih modelih managementa. S poudarkom na politiki podjetja smo opredelili MER-ov model integralnega managementa, nato Pučkov model procesa strateškega managementa ter nazadnje model strateškega managementa, ki sta ga izoblikovala dva ameriška avtorja, J. David Hunger in Thomas L. Wheelen. Nadalje še v tem poglavju povzemamo ključna spoznanja o politiki podjetja v izbranih modelih managementa, ki nam predstavljajo ogrodje našega aplikativnega dela. V tretjem, empiričnem delu predstavljamo analizo politike podjetja s pomočjo raziskave, ki smo jo proučevali. Z izbranim modelom predstavljamo raziskavo z vsemi pomembnimi značilnostmi. Zbrane podatke smo obdelali v računalniškem programu in jih ustrezno interpretirali. Ključne ugotovitve, ki smo jih pridobili s pomočjo raziskave, so prikazane v četrtem poglavju, ki predstavljajo zaključek magistrskega dela. Te ugotovitve kažejo rezultat, do katerega smo dobili med empirično raziskavo. The goal of every company is survival and further development, therefore defining successful business policy is of utmost importance. With it we can limit development risk and ensure future survival and development. Kralj (1999, 6) says: “Business policy is a tool for managing the company, it originates from company management where guidelines and fatal decisions are made, and from professional policy application, which is the domain of management.” The master’s thesis is divided into four chapters. In the introductory chapter we define the field and description of the problem and the purpose, goals and basic arguments of the thesis. Furthermore we quote the process of investigation, assumptions and limitations, and investigative methods used. The second chapter describes the comparative study of business policy in the three chosen models of management. With an emphasis on company policy we defined MER’s model of integral management, Pučko’s model of strategic management process, and lastly the model of strategic management formed by two American authors J. David Hunger in Thomas L. Wheelen. Furthermore we summarize key findings on business policy in the above listed models, which act as the framework for our applicative work. In the third, empirical chapter we make an analysis of the business policy with help of the investigation we studied. With the chosen model we introduce an analysis with all key features. The gathered data was processed through a computer program and suitably interpreted. The key findings we gathered represent the conclusion of the thesis and are listed in the fourth chapter. They findings show the result of our empirical study.

14. Comparative examination of development planning between smal family and non-family enterprises

V prvem delu magistrske naloge smo proučevali družinska podjetja in njihove glavne značilnosti. Srečali smo se z več definicijami družinskega podjetja. Nam najbližja definicija je ta, da je družinsko podjetje tisto podjetje, kjer je podjetje v večinski lasti družine, torej člani družine – lastniki tudi upravljajo in vodijo podjetje, ter da obstaja želja, da se podjetje ohrani v lasti in vodenju družine. V drugem, empiričnem delu magistrske naloge smo proučevali razlike v razvojnem planiranju med malimi družinskimi in nedružinskimi podjetji. Za ta namen smo uporabili kvantitativne kriterije za razmejitev velikosti podjetja (Zakon o gospodarskih družbah 2009) in v predhodnem odstavku navedene kvalitativne kriterije. Izvedli smo empirično raziskavo, v kateri je sodelovalo 20 malih družinskih in 20 malih nedružinskih podjetij, ki imajo sedež v podravski regiji. Anketirana podjetja so odgovarjala na štiri sklope vprašanj. V prvem smo jih spraševali o demografskih značilnostih, v naslednjih treh sklopih pa so podjetja odgovarjala na vprašanja, vezana na razvojno planiranje na ravni politike podjetja, na ravni strateškega managementa in na izvedbeni ravni. In the first part of the Master's thesis we studied family enterprises and their main characteristics. We met several definitions of family enterprises. Our favourite definition is, that a family enterprise is an enterprise, where the majority is owned by the family, family members – the owners manage and lead the company, and that there is a desire that the company stays owned and managed by the family. In the second, empirical part of the Master’s thesis we studied differences in development planning between small family and non-family enterprises. For this purpose we used quantitative criteria for the delimitation of the enterprise size (Companies Act 2009) and the qualitative criteria, mentioned in the previous paragraph. We carried out an empirical research, in which participated 20 small family enterprises and 20 small non-family enterprises with their headquarters in the Podravska region. The questioned companies answered four compounds of questions. In the first one we asked them about demographic characteristics, in the next three they were answering questions on development planning at the policy level of the company, at the strategic level and the level of construction.

15. COMPARISON OF COMMUNICATION CHANNELS AT THE INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION

V izobraževanju, kjer je učinkovita komunikacija pomembna, se za komunikacijo med študenti, profesorji in asistenti uporabljajo spletne strani, spletni forumi, elektronska pošta, telefonska komunikacija in osebna komunikacija v obliki govorilnih ur. Z uporabo anketnega vprašalnika smo med študenti, profesorji in asistenti dveh visokošolskih inštitucij opravili raziskavo o pogostosti uporabe in uporabnosti komunikacijskih kanalov in ažurnosti, točnosti in razumljivosti dobljenih informacij. Na osnovi rezultatov ankete smo ugotovili, da študenti najpogosteje uporabljajo spletne strani, spletne forume in elektronsko pošto, skoraj nikoli pa telefona. Najtočnejše informacije dobijo preko spletnih strani, elektronske pošte in osebne komunikacije, najrazumljivejše pa preko elektronske pošte in osebne komunikacije. Najbolj z lahkoto uporabljajo elektronsko pošto in osebno komunikacijo. Prav tako smo ugotovili, da razlike v razširjenosti uporabe komunikacijskih kanalov med različnimi visokošolskimi inštitucijami obstajajo, niso pa velike. Menimo, da je na področju komunikacije na visokošolskih zavodih še prostor za izboljšave. In education, where efficient communication is important, web pages, web forums, email, telephone and face-to-face communication in the form of consultations are used for communication between students, professors and assistants. With the use of a questionnaire, we conducted a research on the incidence and usability of communication channels among students, professors and assistants at two institutions of higher education, and on accuracy and understandability of given information, and how up-to-date the information is. Based on the questionnaire results, we concluded that most used among students are web pages, web forums and email. Telephone is almost never used. Students get the most accurate information through web pages, email and face-to-face communication, whereas they get the most understandable information through email and face-to-face communication. The easiest way to get information through are email and face-to-face communication. We also came to conclusion that differences between institutions of higher education do exist, though they are not big. We think that there is still a place for improvements in the area of communication on institutions of higher education.
