In 1939, Marília, a thirty-year-old Brazilian housewife, residing in São Paulo, killed her lover, Armando, with an axe and gunshots. She turned herself in to the police and was admitted by her brother-in-law to the Pinel Sanatorium, a psychiatric institution catering to the city's more affluent social groups. The sources for this research include clinical documents—such as a medical report, lab tests, prescriptions, and a letter written by Marília—as well as newspaper articles from São Paulo that reported on the crime. Drawing on theoretical and methodological frameworks from the socio-cultural history of emotions, the history of women and gender, and the history of madness and psychiatry, this article identifies the emotions that surface in the different documents recounting Marília's story. Our primary objective is to analyze these emotions, not to explore their specific meanings, but to understand what they produce. I aim to comprehend how the collection of these emotions, as articulated across the various narratives I examine, operates through shared meanings to construct both an event and a subject: Marília. The different narratives about her life, including her own, and the crime she committed, highlight two central emotions: sadness and anger. This analysis demonstrates that these emotions operate within an emotional framework that defines places, possibilities, and limitations for women, grounded in the perception of their interconnected bodies and minds, social markers of difference, and expert discourses. Objective/context: The objective pursued by this research is to analyse the possible existence of a social and political fracture around the figure of former President Rafael Correa and his political legacy, the Citizen Revolution, which would act as a kind of polarizing division of Ecuadorian society: correismo/anti-correismo axis. A division that, born of politics, would have been established within society, allowing the existence of two opposing sides that feel, perceive and act in politics in a very different way. Methodology: To this end, a study has been drawn up with a quantitative methodological approach based on an analysis of the data contained in the Study of Politics and Emotions in Ecuador, March 2021 (SPEE), carried out by the EIP-USC after the first round of the 2021 presidential elections. Conclusions: The results of this first approach (descriptive and multivariate) allow us to affirm the existence of important differences between supporters and detractors of correismo, especially as regards political and emotional issues, but not so regarding sociodemographic issues. Originality: The influence that the emotional factor expressed towards the different political leaders would have in the construction of this fracture is especially relevant; providing a novel vision to the literature on the influence of Rafael Correa and his project in the Ecuadorian political system. The article presents a general, though not exhaustive, overview of the notion of care and its presence and relevance in gender historiography, examining how historical research can inform and shape new discussions. A bibliographic and narrative review methodology is used, comparing selected studies based on their contributions and scope. Given that care is a transdisciplinary issue with significant heuristic potential, both historical topics and those from other branches of the humanities and social sciences are considered. Care is understood here both as an affective and a labor disposition, and it is from these dimensions that the main debates and problems are presented, focusing specifically on those that have had the greatest presence in gender and history studies: domestic work, feminized professions that care for others, affective communities, and maternal love. In the context of the current care crisis, it is concluded that the topic needs to be viewed broadly and its contributions revalued from a critical gender theory perspective, also considering a historiographic perspective sensitive to contexts and capable of interpretive flexibility. The article focuses on the main academic discussions held in North America and European countries, aiming to contribute to understanding the theoretical and applied scope of care and acknowledging that there is still much ground to cover. Este artigo sustenta a necessidade de se discutir, no âmbito da educação jurídica brasileira, o estatuto das emoções em sala de aula. Demandas baseadas no desconforto emocional que os discentes experimentam quando expostos a alguns temas e atividades tornaram-se recorrentes a partir, sobretudo, das primeiras décadas do século XXI. Sustenta-se que essa sensibilidade pós-moderna é incompatível com a lógica moderna que ainda hoje estrutura o funcionamento das faculdades de Direito no Brasil. Esse ponto é apresentado a partir de críticas contemporâneas ao uso do método socrático. As principais referências teóricas são Sennet, 2015, Paul, R., et al, 2016, Sokoloff, 2020.

Neste artigo, por meio do método da história de vida, analiso a trajetória de um estudante em duas repúblicas estudantis em Ouro Preto (MG). Mais especificamente, investigo os discursos emocionais presentes em sua narrativa e como estes se entrelaçam com as relações socioafetivas desses espaços, com uma atenção especial voltada ao período denominado “batalha”, uma espécie de ritual de passagem comum nesse contexto social. Nos relatos analisados, meu interlocutor evoca sentimentos como humilhação, medo, vergonha, felicidade e amizade, os quais foram abordados neste texto à luz da perspectiva contextualista da Antropologia das Emoções, assim como dos estudos de autoras(es) que dialogam com essa linha teórico-metodológica. Dessa forma, procuro sublinhar como tais emoções não apenas evidenciam, mas também participam das dinâmicas sociais marcadas por hierarquias e relações de poder, ao mesmo tempo em que indicam a forma como o estudante lida com sua sexualidade e com os demais moradores das repúblicas estudantis.

Introduction: Every year, thousands of students enter higher education, often facing personal and academic challenges. This new phase in their lives involves adapting to increased autonomy, a new routine and a new academic environment, which can result in emotional changes. The feelings experienced in this transition phase can have an impact on their quality of life, their adaptation and their academic success. Objectives: The aim of this study is to identify the emotional states present in the perceptions of first-year undergraduate students, in relation to the period of transition and academic adaptation to higher education. Methodology: This is an exploratory, qualitative study, carried out using a focus group, with content analysis using Nvivo 14 software. The group consisted of nine public higher education students. At the time of data collection, the participants were enrolled in their first year of undergraduate studies in different schools and scientific areas at the same Portuguese institution. Results: The preliminary data shows that the students interviewed tend to characterize their first contact with higher education as a shock. They also described situations of stress, demotivation and doubt associated with not knowing their peers, leaving their parents' home and the new academic reality. On the other hand, emotions of optimism, security and resilience are identified when a favorable relationship is established with teachers and the student is satisfied with the course. Final Considerations: Although negative emotional states were manifested, these tended to dissipate with integration into the institution, support from teachers, the formation of new friendships, and adaptation to new academic demands. The overuse of social media as a means of interacting with other people during COVID-19 could have negative consequences for mental health in people with certain coping styles. The objective of this research was to analyze the relationship between coping, frequency of use of social networks and levels of anxiety and depression in young adults during COVID-19. An experiment was carried out in which 643 subjects participated who completed questionnaires of coping (Coping with Stress Questionnaire; SCQ), anxiety (Beck Anxiety Inventory; BAI) and depression (Beck Depression Inventory; BDI-IA). In addition, measurements were taken of the frequency of use of social networks (F-RS: 1 hour or less, 2-3 hours, 4-5 hours, more than 5 hours). The subjects who used social networks more frequently (> 5 hours vs <5 hours) had higher levels of anxiety, depression, negative self-focus, open emotional expression, and search for social support. On the other hand, the F-RS mediated the relationship between coping (negative self-focus, open emotional expression, avoidance, seeking social support) and levels of anxiety and depression. These results warn of the negative mediating role of the overuse of social networks in emergency situations on mental health, and provide relevant information to establish strategies that allow to regulate the affective intensity of the population and improve adherence to preventive measures. This paper aims to address some consequences of immigration in relation to the exercise of motherhood between 1900 and 1930 in Buenos Aires. Through a case study we explore the experiences of a migrant mother who decided, under particular circumstances, to place her children in children's homes. Far from being an exception, this case expresses the experiences of other women who were diagnosed with various mental illnesses in which a deviation in "affectivity" and behavior towards the family nucleus with emphasis on the children appears as a symptom. Through the interweaving of sources that include medical records of the Asilo de Alienadas de Lomas de Zamora and files of minors of the Sociedad de Beneficencia, this article proposes to account for both the emotional prescriptions within the medical discourse in relation to the exercise of motherhood, as well as the emotional experiences of women who went through the path of medicalization and confinement. In the children's files it is possible to trace evidence of their experiences but also the agency, the motivations and the meaning of motherhood and care that a mother deployed in a context of vulnerability produced by migration. Migration from Bolivia to Argentina is characterised by its family nature, and the jobs in which migrants are inserted --fruit and vegetable chains, brick kilns, textile workshops, street vending, etc.-- usually involve the overlapping of domestic and market work spaces. As a result, women take on caregiving tasks while carrying out paid work, which means that caregiving has specific characteristics and involves specific emotional experiences. Although studies on Bolivian migration to Argentina are prolific, they have not focused either on the overlapping of spaces mentioned above or on the emotions that migration arouses. Taking horticulture as a case study and using a qualitative approach based mainly on interviews and participant observation, this article analysed the care work carried out by Bolivian women in Argentina. The focus was on their emotional experiences and those of the children in their care. As will be seen below, what mothers believed their children had felt as raised in the horticulture framework defined, to a large extent, their own emotional experiences. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper aims to analyze how emotions are constructed in a narrative that reports violence inflicted by a public security agent at a Women's Police Station and what discursive mechanisms are mobilized in this construction. The theoreticalanalytical framework is based on the understanding that emotions are a socio-cultural and that narrative is a situated discursiveinteractional practice. The study's methodology is qualitative and interpretivist, as well as considering an online ethnographic approach. The data was generated in an interaction via Google Meet between the researcher, an assisted woman and the president of a virtual support group for women survivors of gender-based violence. Introdução: Prestar cuidados de enfermagem em contexto de ajuda humanitária é emocionalmente complexo. Os enfermeiros enfrentam desafios, como a interação com diferentes culturas, insegurança, condições de vida e recursos precários. Objetivo: Identificar e mapear a evidência científica disponível sobre as emoções experienciadas pelos enfermeiros ao prestarem cuidados no contexto de ajuda humanitária internacional em cenários de conflito e/ou catástrofe. Métodos: Seguiu-se a proposta do Joanna Briggs Institute Reviewers. A pesquisa foi realizada nas bases de dados MEDLINE, CINAHL, SCOPUS, PUBMED, entre outubro de 2023 a abril de 2024. Incluiu artigos disponíveis em texto integral, sem limitações temporais e publicados em inglês e português. Incluiu todo o tipo de estudos que abordavam as emoções experienciadas pelos enfermeiros que prestaram cuidados neste contexto. Resultados: Identificaram-se cinco artigos, publicados entre 2004 e 2017, em quatro países diferentes. Predominavam emoções negativas como preocupação, medo, ansiedade, stress, vulnerabilidade emocional e surpresa. No entanto, também foram identificadas emoções positivas, incluindo alegria, esperança e gratidão. Destacaram-se duas recomendações-chave na gestão emocional dos enfermeiros: a necessidade de preparação e a inclusão de profissionais experientes na equipa. Conclusão: Concluiu-se que uma melhor compreensão sobre as emoções experienciadas permitirá aprimorar o conhecimento e as estratégias de coping, otimizando a prestação de cuidados e minimizando o impacto emocional sobre estes enfermeiros. No entanto, a evidência científica é escassa, identificando-se oportunidades para o desenvolvimento de investigação neste contexto.

Nas Éticas e na Retórica, Aristóteles caracteriza as emoções como estados acompanhados de prazer ou dor. No livro II da Retórica, diversas emoções são definidas como sendo certa dor ou certo prazer, mas outros estados tratados como emoções parecem não envolver nem dor nem prazer. Assim, a identificação entre emoção e prazer ou dor acaba não contando como emoção muitas coisas que são consideradas emoções nas Éticas e na Retórica. Pretendo mostrar que podemos contar todos os estados analisados em Ret. II.2-11 como emoções, e que há prazer ou dor envolvidos de alguma maneira em todas as emoções, sem haver, no entanto, uma identificação com eles.

RESUMO: A avaliação formativa consiste em uma verificação qualitativa de conhecimentos construídos, habilidades e competências de um indivíduo em processo formativo. Essa avaliação constitui-se como fundamental para o andamento das sessões tutoriais, presentes na metodologia da Aprendizagem Baseada em Problemas, utilizada amplamente nos cursos de Medicina do Brasil. No entanto, fatores como a falta de conhecimento dos professores e o medo dos estudantes pelo processo avaliativo impedem que ela seja efetivada. Este estudo, portanto, visa analisar como ocorre a avaliação formativa em sessões tutoriais, com base na Idoneidade Didática Emocional, ou seja, pretende compreender como a avaliação formativa afeta o interesse, a atitude, as emoções e a aprendizagem/conhecimento dos estudantes que participam da sessão tutorial. A pesquisa caracteriza-se como qualitativa, tendo como informantes alunos e uma tutora do curso de Medicina de uma faculdade do interior da Bahia. Para coleta de dados foi utilizada a Observação Participante com utilização de questionários estruturados e observação da dinâmica tutorial no ano de 2021. A análise dos dados deu-se através do Critério de Idoneidade Didática Emocional, adaptado para o curso de Medicina, que tem a finalidade de medir como discentes se interessam e são afetados no processo ensino-aprendizagem. Como resultado, percebeu-se que os discentes e a docente ainda valorizam mais a avaliação somativa em detrimento da formativa, criando comportamentos aversivos ao processo avaliativo, tais como ansiedade e medo. Percebeu-se a importância da avaliação ao final da tutoria como forma de estimular o desenvolvimento de habilidades, atitudes e aprendizagens dos conteúdos estudados, embora ela não siga uma normatização convencional de autoavaliação, avaliação dos pares, avaliação do tutor e avaliação pelo tutor.

O investimento no autocuidado é fundamental para alcançar uma harmonia saudável entre a vida pessoal e profissional dos profissionais da área dos cuidados paliativos. As danças circulares são uma prática integrativa, que consciencializa para uma visão sobre a pessoa, o mundo e a relação com o outro. Compreender-se a si mesmo implica explorar pensamentos, emoções e sentimentos, muitas vezes, manifestados pela expressão corporal. Foi este o mote do projeto da Comunidade de Prática em Cuidados Paliativos do Instituto Superior de Ciências Sociais e Políticas da Universidade de Lisboa, para o desenvolvimento de um momento formativo, através das danças circulares como estratégia para a promoção da saúde física e emocional. Foram objetivos estimular reflexões e partilhas sobre autoconhecimento e autocuidado; promover a aprendizagem da diferenciação entre pensar, sentir e agir; clarificar o propósito das emoções e sua manifestação corporal e acolher a vulnerabilidade. Participaram 17 profissionais e 2 estudantes da área da saúde, das ciências sociais e comportamentais. As danças circulares revelaram-se uma ferramenta de intervenção educativa e social com potencial, contribuindo para uma maior humanização do autocuidado individual e coletivo, resgatando valores humanos fundamentais através da expressão corporal e emocional e do autoconhecimento.

The connection between the arts, intervention and emotions promotes reflective thinking about new ways of intervening in society to improve socio-cultural relations. This article presents an analysis that seeks to understand the intersection of the concepts of intervention, arts and emotions, helping to map the relationships and scientific developments linked to these concepts. A descriptive and exploratory study was carried out using a bibliometric analysis with performance analysis and science mapping approaches to analyze scientific production on these concepts, identifying trends, influential authors, emerging themes and collaboration networks. The results of this investigation show the potential of the research field, the thematic synergies and the multidisciplinarity involved in the research, making it possible to understand the dynamism of these concepts and the impact they have on the relationship with the 'human being'. The combination of these concepts results in scattered data and less concrete relationship networks, underlining the specificity of research in this context. Through this research, it is possible to observe broad patterns in diverse subjects such as 'human', 'performance', 'art', 'education', 'emotions', 'mental health', among others, with possibilities for future application. These results seek to open doors for further research and present the most important works, the authors and the fields of action with growth potential.

This study, part of a larger project exploring the multiple impacts that a one-year study abroad programme at a Portuguese higher education institution had on Chinese students, looks at how these students perceived and managed their experiences both in and outside the classroom. This paper focuses on their classroom experience, and has two central aims: firstly, to explore how this study abroad programme impacted students; secondly, to explore preconceptions identified in the literature regarding Chinese students which might constrain the mindsets and behaviour of Portuguese teachers and students towards these. The results of this qualitative study – deploying exploratory practice and a combined longitudinal and ethnographic approach – point to how a key experience of these Chinese students was learning how to navigate multiple borders – linguistic, cultural, political, and emotional – in an immersive language setting.

Nomear emoções é um passo desenvolvimental essencial para que as crianças em idade pré-escolar sejam capazes de se autorregular e estabelecer relações pró-sociais. Para que isso seja conseguido são essenciais ambientes de aprendizagem caracterizados por um clima emocional positivo. O programa Teacher Classroom Management da série Incredible Years dota os educadores de infância de estratégias, tais como os comentários descritivos de treino emocional, que os torna mais eficazes na promoção desses contextos de aprendizagem de qualidade para a promoção do desenvolvimento emocional das crianças. Este programa baseado na evidência foi disseminado em Portugal no âmbito do Programa Academias do Conhecimento promovido pela Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian. Os resultados obtidos reforçam a sua efetividade na promoção do desenvolvimento de competências emocionais e sociais como a autorregulação, a obediência, relações positivas com pares e empatia, contribuindo para a importância do seu estabelecimento como uma resposta universal nos jardins de infância/escolas na procura do bem-estar e da equidade.

A formação docente no Brasil é realizada nos cursos de Licenciatura, que, apesar de suas especificidades, compartilham uma série de aspectos comuns, principalmente aqueles ligados às questões pedagógicas (teorias de ensino e de aprendizagem, aspectos curriculares da Educação Básica, entre outras). No contexto atual, as questões envolvendo a afetividade (emoções, sentimentos) têm ganhado cada vez mais destaque na sociedade e, consequentemente, no ambiente escolar; entretanto, ainda são abordadas de forma tímida nos cursos de formação de professores. Neste texto, apresento uma possibilidade de discussão desta temática no âmbito de um curso de Licenciatura em Química, sem intencionalidade prescritiva, mas com o objetivo de contribuir para o avanço desses debates na área e ampliação das possibilidades de inserção de práticas formativas vinculadas às demandas apresentadas no campo de atuação profissional de professores em formação inicial.

A solidão tem sido descrita na literatura filosófica recente como uma emoção que envolve uma atitude de aprovação em relação a certos bens sociais, como companhia ou intimidade, juntamente com a consciência de sua temporária ou permanente inacessibilidade. Isso implica que a solidão é uma emoção essencialmente ligada à interação social, uma reação afetiva dolorosa à ausência de bens sociais. Neste artigo, buscamos demonstrar a existência de uma forma de solidão que pode ser chamada de solidão crônica. A solidão crônica não envolve centralmente a falta de envolvimento social, mas sim uma dolorosa experiência intrapessoal de autoabsorção e uma sensação de não pertencimento ao mundo. Tal forma de solidão pode ser descrita não como uma emoção, mas como uma atmosfera afetiva - uma forma afetiva psicopatológica abrangente e de profundo significado moral em virtude do sofrimento emocional e existencial que provoca em seus portadores. Nesse artigo, oferecemos uma caracterização da estrutura da experiência corporal e da experiência de si na solidão crônica. Procuramos mostrar que, como uma atmosfera afetiva abrangente, a solidão crônica afeta nossa inserção corporificada no mundo - o mundo passa a aparecer como distante, não-envolvente ou ameaçador- e a experiência de si. Com ajuda de textos filosóficos, literários e estudos empíricos, argumentamos que essa sensação é vivenciada em contextos de eventos disruptivos, como a pandemia e na síndrome de estresse pós-traumático.

Conceiving training as an entry route into the "métier", our objective is to discuss how professional experience is enriched in the Program of Education through Work for Health (PET-Saúde) -- one of the training devices for the Unified Health System (SUS) in Brazil. The discussion is supported by the analysis of training activity, in which the method of instructions to the peer was chosen. This method is a group exercise with the aim of specifying, sharing, discussing and collectively developing different ways of carrying out the activity. When training programs such as PET-Saúde provide opportunities for the emergence of development zones, experienced workers and novices find themselves together in the creation of a collective knowledge that is formative to all the participants. Initially, we approach the theme by pointing out our theoretical-methodological bases, and then we briefly situate the reader in relation to the field of public health and its training policies. Finally, based on the dialogues that we were able to trigger with the method of instructions to the peer, we analyze with the students their training process around the theme of emotions, focusing on expanding resources for acting as a path that favors training and health. The main objective of this study is to propose an analytical organization of how studies on the “fear of crime” are structured in academic production, especially in Latin America. The theme has already been the subject of important literature reviews, but the way authors construct fear as an object of research will be the key element for the new framework presented in this study. This research was performed by a methodological strategy called snowball sampling. Emotional competencies have become a powerful tool for use in counselling practice that pursues high quality standards. Thus, counselling professionals are increasingly aware that emotions play an essential role within their practice. For this reason, the present study strives to identify perspectives of school counsellors working in the autonomous community of Galicia regarding the utility of emotional competencies in their day-to-day practice. A descriptive, non-experimental and quantitative study was conducted. A Likert scale was used to gather information as this tool enables specific and clear data to be collected quickly in order to provide a more complete description of the state of the issue. The quantitative data gathered provides valuable information pertaining to the most effective and useful emotional competencies for use in counselling practice and, therefore, favours efficient assessment of wellbeing. The crisis caused by the pandemic of Covid-19 in Brazil affected private and state organizations, generating relevant impacts on employability and economic and social sustainability. Even in a pandemic situation, organizations providing services considered essential remained open, and many of them had no viable alternatives to replace presential work. The study presented here investigated the impacts that the coronavirus crisis generated in the human dimensions within these organizations, specifically in relation to emotions and emotional ambivalence. Through a basic qualitative study and with the help of the content analysis method, it was evidenced that even though ambivalence exists in the daily context of pharmaceutical workers, characterized as an essential service during the pandemic, there were times when negative feelings were more prevalent than positive ones. However, the negative emotions were balanced by the existence of positive perceptions about the management of the organization, highlighting the importance of empathy between leaders and subordinates and the effective adoption of safety measures recommended by the competent agencies. The study reveals a section of this pandemic context, its emotional effect on the population and the consequent reflexes on organizations, a small sample of the revealing potential that future research can offer to academics and managers in this field. Research has established the effect of emotions on academic performance and on development of autonomy in undergraduate students in the virtual modality, based on a mixed study with descriptive approach performed in three Higher Education Institutions in Colombia. This study consulted 1,628 students, as follows: freshmen (first semester), in fourth and fifth semesters, and seniors (seventh, eighth and ninth semester). The study regarded the variable duration of each program (between eight and ten semesters) in each institution. The data for each group of students was collected simultaneously. Research results evinced that academic performance and development of autonomy, overall, are affected by emotions, specifically by the lack of control of mood, frustration, fear of expressing ideas and disillusion with learning results, largely because it entails selfcontrol, establishing good interpersonal relationships and assertive communication. Apresento uma crítica à definição clássica da raiva, defendida por Martha Nussbaum (2016), e favorece uma definição pluralista da emoção, defendida por Laura Silva (2020). Aplico a perspectiva pluralista às defesas da raiva de Marilyn Frye (1983), Céline Leboeuf (2018), bell hooks (1995) e Audre Lorde (1997), em vista de demonstrar que suas defesas não são coerentes com uma raiva retributiva. Concluo argumentando que, em contextos de opressão social, a raiva não é uma emoção que objetiva retribuição, mas sim o reconhecimento da injustiça, e sugiro que a definição retributiva da raiva seja rejeitada e substituída por uma definição multidimensional.

RESUMO Objetivo avaliar a capacidade de estudantes de medicina para reconhecer emoções pela voz e expressão facial, por meio de avaliações de percepção emocional da entonação vocal e das expressões faciais. Métodos estudo com delineamento transversal observacional. Para avaliação do reconhecimento de emoções pelas expressões faciais, utilizou-se um teste composto por 20 vídeos de microexpressões faciais e, para avaliação do reconhecimento emocional pela voz, utilizou-se o Protocolo de Reconhecimento de Emoções Prosódicas Básicas, baseado no banco de dados de Burkhardt. Para análise estatística, foram utilizados os testes de Friedman, Shapiro-Wilk, teste t de Student ou Mann-Whitney e o coeficiente de correlação de Pearson ou Spearman. Resultados o estudo foi composto por 38 alunos, com média de idade de 20,8 (±2,5). O reconhecimento de emoções pela voz foi significativamente superior, comparado com os resultados do teste de reconhecimento de emoções pelas expressões faciais. Houve correlação positiva entre a idade e a habilidade de reconhecer emoções pelas expressões faciais. O gênero masculino apresentou taxa significativa de acertos, superior ao gênero feminino na habilidade de reconhecer emoções pela expressão facial. As emoções com maior média de acertos pela expressão facial foram surpresa, alegria e desprezo, enquanto, por meio da voz, as emoções foram raiva, medo e tristeza. Conclusão a capacidade de reconhecimento de emoções por estudantes de medicina foi maior na avaliação de percepção emocional por meio da voz.

No presente artigo, temos como proposta apresentar o papel das emoções no ativismo de mães e pais de autistas no Brasil durante a década de 1980. A partir da triangulação de fontes documentais distintas (autobiografias, livros acadêmicos do período e matérias publicadas em periódicos), mapeamos as emoções mais comuns expressas pelos familiares em suas narrativas sobre a experiência com seus filhos, com destaque para a infelicidade e o amor. Observamos que as emoções possibilitaram uma análise crítica da realidade, o estabelecimento de vínculos de solidariedade e a construção das primeiras medidas que possibilitaram o reconhecimento dos direitos dos autistas no Brasil.

A inteligência artificial (IA) tem gerado discussões sobre limites éticos e como as narrativas são construídas com textos, áudios e imagens que, por vezes, são inventados ou apropriados de propriedades intelectuais. Nesse desenvolvimento midiático e plataformizado, o comercial de 70 anos da Volkswagen (VW) acende questões sobre o uso da IA e os contextos em que é empregada. A partir da perspectiva metodológica indiciária, objetiva-se discutir como as narrativas da IA trazem implicações para as plataformas digitais, as questões éticas e a mobilização das emoções.

O câncer de mama ou neoplasia da mama, é um dos tipos de cânceres mais frequentes, e um dos mais prevalentes entre as mulheres. O diagnóstico e determinados tratamentos, como a cirurgia de mastectomia, levam as mulheres a vivenciarem diferentes sentimentos, sendo os pensamentos negativos os mais predominantes. Desta maneira, o objetivo deste estudo é descrever a importância da assistência do enfermeiro frente aos aspectos psicoemocionais de mulheres mastectomizadas. Trata-se de um estudo de revisão integrativa da literatura, desenvolvida nas bases eletrônicas de dados Medline e Lilacs. Foram utilizados os seguintes descritores: Neoplasias da mama; Enfermagem; Emoções; Mastectomia. Foram encontrados 2314 artigos, dos quais foram selecionados oito. Os resultados e discussões foram divididos em dois eixos temáticos: O primeiro trata das emoções das mulheres mastectomizadas, cujos sentimentos advindos com o diagnóstico da doença passam a afetar diferentes aspectos psicoemocionais, como personalidade, sexualidade, família e relações sociais. E o segundo trata da assistência de enfermagem após a mastectomia, a qual deve se dar de maneira integral, visando tanto o restabelecimento da saúde física quanto emocional. A enfermagem pode desempenhar um cuidado diferenciado e voltado para as necessidades psicoemocionais das mulheres, promovendo tratamento e assistência humanizados, orientados e voltados a uma melhor qualidade de vida, e com o fim de estimular a autoajuda, a autoestima e a aceitação de seu corpo.

A preocupação em elaborar uma sociologia do conhecimento foi uma das principais atividades que interessaram Norbert Elias. Para o autor, nossa sociedade acumulou um fundo de conhecimento tão assombroso que, por sua vez, possibilitou o surgimento de ciências que podem estudar os indivíduos e as sociedades. No entanto, essas ciências ainda não atingiram o mesmo nível de maturidade das ciências exatas e biológicas. Diversas são as explicações, vários são os motivos, mas para o autor, um dos principais entendimentos diz respeito à relação entre conhecimento e controle das emoções que pode influenciar diretamente na mesma produção de conhecimento. Disso, o autor cria o par conceitual Envolvimento/Distanciamento para buscar compreender o processo de formação do conhecimento em nossas sociedades. O presente artigo vai analisar os conceitos de Envolvimento e distanciamento em Norbert Elias. Partiremos de uma leitura e investigação em seus trabalhos de caráter mais epistemológico, como também na leitura de autores que estudam Elias, para entender como o autor reflete sobre a questão.

Objetivo: compreender os sentimentos vivenciados por pessoas idosas em situação de violência. Método: estudo exploratório de abordagem qualitativa, realizado a partir de entrevistas com 15 pessoas idosas que realizaram a denúncia de violência na Delegacia da Mulher, de uma cidade do interior paulista, entre janeiro e dezembro de 2018. Os dados foram analisados e interpretados por meio da técnica da análise de conteúdo. Resultados: o estudo revelou que a violência contra as pessoas idosas, perpetrada por familiares ou cuidadores, é uma realidade. Contudo, as pessoas idosas enfrentam dificuldades em admitir o ocorrido devido aos laços afetivos ou sanguíneos. Os sentimentos vivenciados por elas após a violência, incluem tristeza, decepção, raiva, injustiça, angústia e revolta. Considerações Finais: percebeu-se a ocorrência da violência praticada pelo familiar ou cuidador. No entanto, houve dificuldade, por parte da vítima, em admitir o ocorrido. Há necessidade de abordagens sensíveis e eficazes, incluindo conscientização, capacitação de profissionais e implementação de políticas protetivas.
