- Abstract
The study aimed to identify the role of social networking sites in spreading sports culture among Emirati youth, and to reveal the impact of young people’s exposure to sports content, their motives and attitudes towards it. of Emirati youth, during the period from 15/11/2021 to 15/12/2021, and reached the most prominent results: The high rate of respondents' exposure to sports content presented through social networking sites, and the rate of their reliance on them in obtaining information on sports culture. The high level of motives of respondents' exposure to sports culture pages on social networking sites in general, and 'exercise' issues the sports content that respondents are keen to follow on social networking sites. The effects of the contents provided by the sports culture pages through social networking sites in general, and the positive statements are issued by the respondents’ attitudes towards the information presented on the sports culture pages through social networking sites. There is a statistically significant correlation between exposure intensity and each of: exposure motives, the resulting effects, interaction with the contents, and the trend towards its role in spreading sports culture. There is a statistically significant correlation between the degree of dependence on social networking sites and each of: the degree of interaction with the contents, the effects resulting from exposure, and the trend towards its role in spreading sports culture.
