The development of organic foods market has been growing significantly in recent years. Polish organic foods market is quickly developing and it is considered as one of the most rapidly growing sections of the food market. The aim of the study was to analyse and assess knowledge and behaviour of chosen group (18-45 age) consumers on the organic foods market. According to the quantitative studies/survey, considerable part of the respondents (79.6%) declare trust into the organic food products. Based on the research results it can be concluded that the major part of the respondents have sufficient knowledge to purchase and consume organic food in a conscious and rational way. However, they declared a will to expand their knowledge in the ecological food field (78.6%). The respondents (81.9%) declared reading product labels and paying attention to the ingredients of the products (43.7%) and less interest to the origin of them (26.2%). For 37.9% of the respondents the most important advantages of the organic food products were beneficial effects on human health and lack of harmful additives. They pointed also at other motives of buying organic food products like taking care of own health, environment aspect and much better quality of such food. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

According to actual conditions agricultural production development was achieved by harming the environment. The traditional agricultural methods (the natural farms, and plants and animals using in a rural manner) was bequeath us the ruined environment (erosion, barren fields etc). Modern agriculture which based on technical – technological accomplishments could harms it even more and immeasurable. We couldnt let that development and prosperity of agricultural production does more harm and endanger the environment which could lead to ecological problems with immeasurable consequences. The Agrarian policy should takes into considerations agribusiness agroecological issues in conditions like these. The major goal of a modern agricultural productions and food industry isnt only to produce more food with lowest possible prices but to contribute the environment protection and prosperity by their activities. Production of "Eco food" was presumed by using of proper ecological technology. Normally, the profile of agribusiness managers should be changed in the first place. They should be the modern type of eco – managers. Their primary task should be to manage the control of applying eco principles with agricultural production. According to the modern agricultural enterprises business managing, beside the market realization as the business component, we should take into consideration the applying of eco principles level as well. Its applying should be considered as preventive measures in the environment protection. The point is thats much more expensive to overhaul harming consequences provoked by ignoring of the modern agricultural eco principles than stick with them.

4. Environmental Management at Small Hotels : A Case study at Bastedalen Herrgård, Sweden

A hotel stands for comfort and a high stand of living. This could mean a high per capita consumption of energy, water and other resource, as well as creating a large amount of waste and pollution due to the necessity of having a high standard of hygiene and a high turnover of guests. This thesis is about the hotel environmental management. After surveys of hotels and interviews with hotel managers as to their environmental management, a case study of a small hotel was carried out, namely the Bastedalen Herrgård and Kina Park. The case Bastedalen Herrgård told us that its guests have expressed some requirement to hotel environmental management given the fact that the answer rate was very low. When the guests were asked to provide answers to environmental questions, the dominant answers were positive. But these answers are not necessary leading to the positive behavior. This implies that more in-depth study towards customer’s environmental behavior is needed. It was true in Bastedalen that the hotels owner is playing an important roll in the process toward better environmental management and will decide whether or not to do this and in which direction. It was also true that the hotel owner in this case had not enough resources to follow the example of big hotels. A micro-hotel and other SMEs were obviously in need of financial and technical support to be more “green”. They are also short of relevant information and knowledge.
