Pathology is a subject which demands deep understanding of the fundamentals. This entails regular reading, discussion, viewing the organs and slides to understand the evolution of the disease. For a sound understanding of the subject a robust clinicopathological correlation is a must. However, quite frequently students resort to rote learning of the concepts which over time leads to losing interest in the subject. In this pandemic induced circumstance, the challenge had suddenly increased. We embarked on this project with an aim to compare the effectiveness of the traditional didactic lecture (DL), Online web base learning which is the E learning (EL) and a mix of voice annotated/ audio video presentation followed by interactive large group discussion on the topic , which is a Blended learning (BL) and come to the best possible Teaching-Learning Method (TLM). 124 second year MBBS students participated in the study, of which 41 participated in the DL group, 42 were in EL group and 41 were in BL group. They were taught a topic on alcoholic liver disease. There was significant improvement in the scholastic performance of the BL group. The BL group perceived this method as more interesting and interactive. The study highlights the advantage of BL over EL and DL as the former provides an all round understanding and transforms the learning experience of the students. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

OBJECTIVES: During the COVID-19 pandemic, medical education programs were challenged to optimize learning while balancing social interaction with exposure risk. In response, our internal medicine (IM) residency program transitioned to "simulcast" educational sessions. In simulcast sessions, multiple small groups of learners met in person in separate rooms and connected to the large-group session via videoconferencing. This qualitative study describes IM residents' perceptions regarding the advantages and disadvantages of learning in simulcast compared to virtual and in-person settings during the pandemic. METHODS: Categorical IM residents at Penn State during the academic year 2020-2021 were invited to participate. Eligible residents participated in one 30-min virtual, semistructured focus group. We used inductive thematic coding to analyze resident responses. RESULTS: Forty-eight percent (n = 29/60) of invited residents participated in focus groups. In the simulcast setting, participants felt more accountability to participate in their small groups compared to a larger group or virtual setting. Educational experiences varied based upon facilitator skill level. Overall, in-person settings were preferred to virtual, when possible, due to increased social connection. Respondents identified educator enthusiasm and presentation quality as key to engagement regardless of setting. CONCLUSION: Residents had variable responses to the simulcast setting based upon their comfort with participation by group size, desire for social connection, and perception of teaching strategies. The key identified pitfalls to simulcast teaching were resident discomfort in small groups, heterogeneous learning experience, lack of engagement, and technology challenges. These pitfalls can be mitigated through strategic distribution of learners in groups, trained facilitators, and interactive teaching modalities. Given that simulcast and mixed (simulcast, virtual, and in-person) teaching settings are here to stay postpandemic, anticipating pitfalls and creating adaptable educational content that translates in multiple settings is crucial. • The need for continuing professional development spans all disciplines within CF. • Online education platforms are used widely by the CF health professional community. • The ECFS education platform is rated favourably as a source of education. • Results will help improve the delivery of high quality and accessible content. Continuing professional development (CPD) is a component of practice that spans all disciplines within cystic fibrosis (CF). E-learning resources theoretically represent flexible, low cost and time efficient methods of CPD. We aimed to explore European Cystic Fibrosis Society (ECFS) members' and CF health professional communities' current views, experiences and perceptions of e-learning and the ECFS education platform (ECFS-EP). An online cross-sectional survey was developed by the ECFS Education Committee and circulated via the ECFS conference, emails and within the society subgroups between June and September 2023. 547 responses were received from 58 countries; 57 % of responders were ECFS members. A wide range of specialities were represented from the multidisciplinary team including 36 % clinicians. The majority of respondents (63 %) spent 6 or more hours a week on their professional education. Online platforms were used either weekly (34 %) or monthly (37 %); 54 % of respondents had used the ECFS-EP and this was rated favourably overall, specifically for content quality. Preferred formats for education were articles and medium length (15–30 min) webinars. This multidisciplinary cohort survey illustrates contemporary practice and opinion relating to e-learning and the ECFS-EP. Strengths include the high number of responses and the wide range of countries and specialities represented. Results suggest the ECFS-EP is valued and highlights priority topics, preferred formats and opportunities to optimise awareness. Results support continued provision and oversight of high quality education via an online platform. The data will be analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics by SPSS software version 16 at a significance level of p < 0.05. Conclusion: This clinical trial will determine the most successful and cost-effective approach in reducing loneliness and social isolation in older adults. The results are expected to improve the self-care skills of the older adults, thereby reducing the negative consequences of loneliness and social isolation, including various health issues and mortality rates, in the long run. Abstrak: Literasi digital merupakan hal yang penting untuk dikuasai oleh peserta didik di era digitalisasi. Penggunaan e-learning dalam proses pembelajaran diharapkan mampu meningkatkan literasi digital peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan e learning dalam meningkatkan literasi digital peserta didik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur. Sumber data diperoleh dari buku, jurnal, dan karya ilmiah lainnya yang sesuai dengan tema penelitian. Analisis data yang digunakan analisis kualitatif berupa kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e learning dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan literasi digital peserta didik, khususnya pada elemen information literacy dan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. The quick access recorder (QAR), as an airborne device used to monitor and record flight parameters, has been widely installed on various types of aircraft. Based on QAR data, research on runway overrun, a typical flight safety incident, has attracted widespread attention in recent years. However, existing runway overrun risk models generally suffer from oversimplified risk metrics or insufficient consideration of risk dynamics. In this paper, we propose a new dynamic runway overrun risk assessment model based on QAR data. We first consider the noise of aircraft trajectory data in the QAR parameters and present a landing trajectory correction method combining ground speed and runway position information. Second, to improve the accuracy of the risk assessment model, we design an algorithm to automatically recognize the aircraft autobrake level during the landing phase, based on which a new dynamic risk assessment model is developed. Finally, feature engineering is performed to extract the relevant contributing factors of runway overrun risk, based on which classification and regression models are applied to identify risky flights and predict the risk values. The proposed risk assessment model was evaluated using QAR data from an airline in China. The results show that the automatic deceleration rate, the way that the aircraft approaches the runway, the touchdown distance, and the kinetic energy at 50 ft are key factors in the risk of runway overrun during the landing phase. Video-based instructional tools are an important emerging component of robotic surgical education. However, there is a paucity of literature on the structure of video as an instructional tool in robotic surgery. This paper reviews the literature on video-based instructional tools and provides a series of recommendations for the structure of a video- based training tool in robotic surgery. Key educational aspects to consider in designing a video training tool are student engagement, content validity, cognitive load, and active learning. Technology is one of the important factors of progressing the teaching/learning process in the schools and universities especially for the English language teaching. It can help the teacher to present a better lesson to students. Technology is very necessary for the field of education because there are too many things that the teachers can do such as playing videos in English language or a song, movie and even a theatre show. Now a days using technology is very common in the world; however, Kurdistan public schools do not use any technology in their classes except the private schools. The ministry of education has neglected this most important factor in this age. In the pandemic most of the countries faced problems in studying in the schools because of the lock down. Most countries seek to use the technology to finish the school year and they successfully finished their school year by using E Learning and Online Zoom even other resources to rich the learning process but in Kurdistan the schools do not use any kinds of technology and our students are not familiar with the online systems and E learning because we do not apply such valuable recourses in our schools that’s why in this year we have encountered a lot of problems of finishing the schools year because our students did not know how to use and access them easily. In this research my aim is to find out the advantages and disadvantages of using technology in the education and what are the reasons for not using technology in Kurdistan schools until now.

The COVID 19 pandemic has lead not just to a social and economic uncertainty but also created historic challenges to the continuity of education process globally. Online teaching and learning has come to the forefront to prevent loss of learning time for students during this period. An observational cross sectional study was conducted on the implementation of online teaching program in a medical college during the period of COVID 19 pandemic. All the synchronous and asynchronous teaching learning activities across all the phases of MBBS were observed and reviewed. The challenges, limitations and opportunities in the implementation process were analyzed. Appropriate solutions were found for most of the challenges including the implementation of competency based undergraduate curriculum for phase 1 MBBS students. Feedback was taken from the undergraduate medical students to know their perceptions on e learning and its use as a teaching learning method. The questionnaire included both closed and open ended questions to know the learning experiences and preferences of the students. The data was subjected to descriptive statistics and computed as frequency percentages. The study presents the challenges in the implementation of online teaching like providing the required infrastructure and training the faculty. It also reveals its limitations in providing clinical experience and conducting assessments for students. The study also shows that though the medical students perceived various features of e learning to be useful but believed traditional classroom to be a better learning environment. The study highlights that e learning has provided the opportunity to promote self directed learning for students and to develop technological skills of both the faculty and the students, suggesting its potential role in the future of medical education. In this study we will bring up and analyze the experience of distance learning in pandemic conditions of 2020 in higher education system in Albania. A survey takes place in two periods focusing on the students of the second year of the bachelor and the master level. The results of this study reveal socio, economic and legislative issues that should be addressed and discussed in policy maker level. Analysis indicates that out of 77% of the students use mobile phone and only 23% has access to the computer/laptop. In all responses the IT equipment were funded by the family/students. Also, 26.4% has access regularly on internet, the 73.6% of the students do not have regularly internet due to weak cover of internet or lack of electricity. All the internet expenditure is cover by the students or their family. This situation has been a serious one not only for the students but for academic staff also. Distance learning has been stimulated with their own equipments, most of the times. In the meantime, there has been no compensation for additional costs. To solve this situation as effectively as possible at the end of the analysis and findings are given some important recommendations

Research problem: when the pandemic emerges and the threatens people's lives; social distance becomes one of the most important requirements to ensure the public safety. The social distance reaches the learning pillars, the instructor and the student, that’s why the new methods should be appeared, to solve the learning problem especially when the all-traditional ways cannot meet the pandemic safety criteria which requires social distance. The architectural studies especially the undergraduate have different learning courses; theoretical, practical and studio learning classes. That’s why the research problem is the “need the future learning method for the future and during the pandemic. The research aims to find a method of learning that takes into account the current conditions in light of the Corona pandemic, suitable for lecturers and students. Research methodology: The research will use the theoretical analytic for the learning methods to find the research concepts which will build the new learning method concept. The research relied on the descriptive approach in analyzing the results of the questionnaire by comparing the learning approaches for the purpose of reaching varied learning. The questionnaire was analyzed using SPSS to reach the results. The main conclusions are varied learning gives flexibility to students and instructors in temporal and spatial dimensions, allowing students and instructors to interact better, and a system that can be applied in critical times that requires the integration of a face-to-face learning system with various electronic learning.

This study is a portrayal of e-learning modes that had been practiced by the population of the DCSCE (84) faculties at Princess Nourah University (PNU). The study seeks to investigate the faculty's acquisitions from being through this experience during covid-19 pandemic. Data was collected by an online survey that encompasses five themes, and analyzed by using SPSS. The study employs evaluation of outcomes approach. The results reveals faculties' enhancement of e-learning management system and developing e- tests. In teaching context, the acquisitions include choosing appropriate teaching strategies and the awareness of educational technologies in enriching online teaching and learning. In the IT support theme the top acquisition reported to be the use of innovative applications computer programs. Moreover, faculty cooperation and exchange of the best-practices constitute the top results of social support theme. Additionally, the results reveals insignificant correlation between the faculties' acquisitions and their previous experience in e-learning, indicating that these acquisitions are totally outcomes of faculties' experience during the coronavirus pandemic. The study recommends the inclusion of these acquisitions in faculties' training programs to overcome the pandemic persisting of academic disturbance in teaching and learning. It also recommends the investment in these acquisitions to enhance PNU's efforts in developing e- learning as a future choice. Covid 19 has affected different people in different ways. Objective: To determine the perception of clinical undergraduate MBBS students of online lectures in a medical university of Karachi, Pakistan. Study Design: Descriptive Study. Setting: Bahria University Medical and Dental College. Period: May 2020 till July 2020. Material & Methods: Four weeks after introduction of online lectures. Data was collected from clinical year students over two weeks using Google forms and analysed using SPSS version 22. Result: Of 450 clinical year students, n=234 responded. Overall, 48.7% (n = 114) students were satisfied with the online lectures, 34.2 %( n= 80) were completely satisfied and 17.7 %( n=39) were unsatisfied. 53.4 %( n=125) felt lectures were serving the purpose whereas 37.2% (n=87) do not feel the same. The lack of interaction component in online lectures was felt by 45.7% (n=107) students. Regarding clinical teaching, 72.2% (n= 170) do not think it is possible online, 15.8 (n=35) feel it possible and 12.4% (n=29) were hopeful. Majority 61.1% (n=143) think it is impossible to complete medical studies online. Student ideas for improvement included availability of lecture recording for later viewing, integrated quizzes, increasing interactive component, training of faculty, small group sessions and case based teaching. Majorly students faced internet connectivity issues and timings of long lectures without break. Conclusion: Online lectures can be improved by reducing the issues faced by students, providing them easy internet access, faculty training programs to make interactive and case based presentation and quizzes. Abstract The purpose of this study was to examine student use and perceptions of technology enhanced learning tools (TELTs), including their value for learning. Students enrolled onto a 12-week undergraduate science module had access to four TELTs each week, (i) a recording of the lecture (Panopto™), (ii) an animated mini review of the lecture (ShowMe), (iii) a multiple choice quiz hosted on Blackboard® (MCQ), and (iv) a module Twitter feed. Ninety-five students completed a survey at the end of the module, which included quantitative and qualitative questions, to examine whether they perceived the TELT to be useful for their learning. Yoruba is one of the Nigeria's four hundred languages linguistically threatened with extinction considering the language attitude of its native speakers especially the youths. The youths' flair for English is making them lose interest in the use of Yoruba. This study was designed to introduce and teach the Yoruba youths the origin of some Yoruba words and statements using electronic devices like video tape recorder, phones, and power points presentation. Twenty Yoruba words, phrases, clauses, and statements were dramatized, recorded in CDrom and practically demonstrated in the classroom setting. We elicited our data through various Yoruba discourses with their historical origin traced to past happenings. The major sources of data collection for this study include records of discourses in Yoruba, waxed musical records and conversations among Yoruba natives especially in Urban areas in Nigeria. Twenty of the collated words, phrases, clauses and statement were also linguistically analyzed. The study encourages the use of electronic gadgets in teaching Yoruba. It is also a valuable attempt among others in saving Yoruba language from going to extinction as a result of its native youth speakers' lack of interest and knowledge of the origin of many of its words, clauses, phrases, statements and usage. Rapid advancements in technology in today's world have been accompanied by the need for equipping classrooms with the best educational technology. The biggest challenge in incorporating technology into learning is allowing students to take advantage of learning technology while ensuring that the class is productive and well managed. The main objective of this paper is to study the effects of using a classroom management system in computer lab sessions for smooth technology integration and effective computer lab management. The practice was evaluated through comparative analysis of the student performance, survey results and feedback from teachers, students, and IT management staff. Generally, the responses of participants were positive, more than 90% of them agreed that the system enhances the learning environment. Universities play a crucial role in creating a better pathway for providing better education to the young generation of students. While many studies worldwide have indicated the benefits of using E books and a higher preference of E books among the younger generation Gelfand (2002), the acceptance of E books is relatively slow. Many research indicate that Digital Learning or E books are able to meet the expectations of this current generation popularly known as Digital Natives. There are also a great number of challenges faced by stakeholders in adoption of E books in their academic process Rowlands (2007). Universities will have to move towards adopting Digital learning platforms for a better teaching learning process thus acting as a pioneer for other colleges to follow. This paper attempts to study why Universities should push towards E books and find out the stakeholders view about the usage of E books as a learning platform and to obtain the benefits and drawbacks of using E books and what are the benefits and challenges for the key stakeholders in the higher educational system. The study was carried out as a descriptive study in which four major stakeholders were selected, and interviews were conducted and data collected. Using structured and semi-structured questions, participants were asked to describe and reflect on their E book experiences. The results of the study indicate that all major stakeholders agree on the benefits of using E books have also identified few challenges. The challenges vary for each stakeholder and the analysis of the pain points indicate the need for universities to play an key role and ensure that the challenges are taken care before the benefits of E books be reaped. By analysing the benefits and drawbacks of the various stakeholders the benefits of using E books outweigh the disadvantages and hence universities should act as nodal centers to find solutions to overcome the stated problem. Witness the current era of many successive scientific and technological level developments, which makes it imperative for educators to search for new forms of education commensurate with the revolution in communications and information technology, particularly in the service sector, which represents one of education of the most important services provided by communities to individual sand return them benefit in the short and long term,and what was the creative one of the most important variables that developed and developing countries seeking to develop both; due for submission unconventional solutions to the problems faced by these countries in various aspects of political and economic life, social, and environmental. The problems of poverty, hunger, disease, ignorance and street children are a product of the accumulation of conventional solutions that have failed to deal with. Sternberg & Lubart( 1996) Defined creativity as the ability to produce a work of unexpected novelty and originality, and high quality, and useful, and brings important limitations. Creativity is an important subject and widespread at the individual and community levels in plenty of areas of different tasks. At the individual level, creativity is associated with, for example, to dissolve the work and daily life problems. At the community level, it could lead to the creation of new scientific results, and new movements in art and new inventions, new social programs. The economic significance of creativity and clear because of the new products and services, creating jobs, moreover, individuals, organizations, and communities must adapt existing resources to change the requirements of tasks in order to remain competitive. As the e-learning one of the most remote learning formats and its relationship to creativity entrances study based on computer simulation programs have made (Boden, 1992,1999) reviewed, and it was aimed at the production of creative thinking CNC manner that simulates what people do. For example, he developed Zytkow, 1987) & Langley, Simon, Bradshaw) a set of programs that will restore basic scientific laws, and adopt these computer models to infer by the guiding principles to solve the problem of the search for a set of data or space concepts to get the subtle relationships between the input variables . The purpose of this study was to examine student use and perceptions of technology enhanced learning tools (TELTs), including their value for learning. Students enrolled onto a 12-week undergraduate science module had access to four TELTs each week, (i) a recording of the lecture (Panopto™), (ii) an animated mini review of the lecture (ShowMe), (iii) a multiple choice quiz hosted on Blackboard® (MCQ), and (iv) a module Twitter feed. Ninety-five students completed a survey at the end of the module, which included quantitative and qualitative questions, to examine whether they perceived the TELT to be useful for their learning. Analysis of the quantitative data suggest that Twitter was used significantly less than the other three TELTs ( p < 0.001) with less people agreeing that it helped their learning (p < 0.001), whilst ShowMe and MCQ had a greater occurrence of an 'agree' rating compared to Twitter and Panopto ( p ≤ 0.002). A thematic analysis of the qualitative responses identified assessment as a common theme across all four TELTs, being a positive factor for Panopto, ShowMe and MCQ, but negative for Twitter. Students highlighted ShowMe as being particularly useful for simplifying information. Based on this study TELTs similar to ShowMe (i.e. animations) are most recommended as this was one of the two highly rated TELTs (alongside MCQ), but may have more potential for crossover with other subjects, and students found it useful for more than just assessment.
