- Abstract
In recent years, sustainable entrepreneurship has emerged as a dynamic field, driving innovative solutions to environmental, social, and financial issues, as evidenced by the improvement of income systems. The purpose of this study is to explore the impact of the forward-looking strategy on enterprise performance so as to ensure that enterprises can maintain the ability of sustainable development. Foresight can promote the enhancement of sustainable development. Therefore, the current research mainly determines that forward-looking strategies will ultimately affect the performance of enterprises through the impact on their own dynamic capabilities. Through the empirical investigation of 125 enterprises, the corresponding research data are obtained. The results show that the forward-looking strategy has a positive impact on enterprise performance, while enterprise dynamic capability, as an intermediary variable, has a positive impact between the forward-looking strategy and enterprise performance. This research introduces market dynamic capability as a moderating variable to explore whether forward-looking strategies can adapt to changes in the external market environment. Structural equation modeling (SEM) is used to examine the complex relationships between multiple independent and dependent variables of forward-looking strategies and dynamic capabilities, including the impact of latent variables. Under the background of digital economy, digital technology gradually infiltrates the operation of enterprises and plays a vital role in enterprise performance. Digital transformation has become a realistic need for enterprises to respond to changes in the market environment and seek development. The forward-looking strategy has brought new opportunities to solve this problem. The core of the forward-looking strategy lies in "forward thinking" and "pioneering intention". It not only emphasizes the ability to predict and identify potential opportunity windows in uncertain environments but also pays attention to the cultivation of enterprise resilience and openness to maintaining sustainable competitive advantage. Its foresight can build dynamic capabilities and ensure the sustainable development ability of enterprises through continuous insight into market information and technology resources, such as opportunity recognition perception, knowledge absorption and transformation, resource replacement and innovation, organizational change, and reconstruction. - Abstract
Agricultural green innovation has become a key driver of China's agricultural development in the modern era. Maintaining a strong symbiotic relationship is crucial for enhancing awareness and resource allocation capabilities related to green technology innovation within enterprises, ultimately fostering green development. This study utilizes balanced panel data from Chinese agricultural listed companies in the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets between 2011 and 2020 to investigate the impact of symbiotic relationships on green technology innovation capability. Through empirical testing and a moderated mediating effect model, the research explores how organizational green awareness and dynamic capabilities influence this relationship. The findings indicate that a positive symbiotic relationship can significantly enhance green technology innovation in agricultural enterprises by improving their green cognition and dynamic abilities. In terms of the heterogeneity of the promotion of green technology innovation by enterprise symbiosis, the symbiotic relationship has a significant direct promotion effect on both progressive and joint green technology innovation. By confirming the effectiveness of firm symbiosis in promoting green technology innovation, this study provides new practical guidance for developing countries on how to promote the development of green technology innovation. This study identifies factors that improve competitive strategies in manufacturing companies, known as strategic ambidexterity (SA), and their impact on organizational performance to improve production systems as a source of competitive advantage. This survey study was conducted through employee perceptions of SA, by exploiting and exploring firm capacity and capability. Data were collected through a survey directly to the respondents involving 200 employees of manufacturing companies in Jakarta, Indonesia. The method used was a field survey, and the data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Linear Structural Relations (LISREL 9.2). The findings are exploiting organizational capacity has significant effect on SA, exploring organizational capability has a significant effect on SA, and SA has a significant effect on organizational performance. The limitations of this research are it is characterized by crosssectional and perceptual analysis. The location of all companies involved is only in Jakarta. The managerial implications are that optimal firm performance can be achieved by implementing SA through exploiting organizational capacity to maximize competitiveness in existing markets by optimizing the service quality to customer, improving processes to respond to market feedback, and understanding market needs, and exploring capability to take opportunities in new markets through product innovation, discovering and integrating new technologies, maintaining customers relationships, being flexible and adaptive to the market needs. Drawing on the 'dynamic capabilities' perspective, this study empirically investigates whether, or not, and how agile manufacturing contributes to sustainable business performance, including economic, environmental, and social performance. Building on the notion that dynamic capabilities indirectly improve organisational performance through modifying a firm's resources/processes, we argue that agile manufacturing treated as a dynamic capability requires transformation to result in sustainable business performance. Therefore, we hypothesise the mediating effects of two transformational capabilities, namely internal learning, and reconfiguration capabilities, on the agile manufacturing-sustainable business performance relationship. Partial least square structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) was employed to explore the validity of the conceptual model and examine the hypotheses using survey data from 99 Italian manufacturers firms. The results show that internal learning fully mediates the relationship between agile manufacturing and economic performance and partially mediates the relationship between agile manufacturing and social performance. Also, the empirical findings indicate that reconfiguration fully mediates the relationship between agile manufacturing and economic/environmental performance and partially mediates the agile manufacturing-social performance relationship. Overall, both transformational capabilities are necessary to maximise the effects of agile manufacturing on sustainable performance. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose: Despite the growing interest in enhancing mass customization capability (MCC), firms still have little knowledge of dealing with the superimposed challenges of increased market uncertainty and supply chain disruptions. Based on the dynamic capability view, this study focuses on the impacts of frequent sensing and reconfiguring processes on MCC and the mediating roles of proactive and reactive supply chain resilience (SCR). Design/methodology/approach: We collected survey data from 277 manufacturing firms and conducted a structural equation model to test hypotheses. Findings: The results reveal that although its direct effect on MCC is insignificant, sensing process improves MCC indirectly via reactive SCR. Our findings also show that reconfiguring process enhances MCC both directly and indirectly via reactive SCR. Originality/value: This study provides theoretical and practical insights into how to combine dynamic capability and SCR to strengthen MCC. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In today's rapidly evolving landscape, supply chains must develop specific dynamic capabilities for initiating and successfully governing their transformations toward new configurations to withstand pressures arising from competitions and global changes. Differently from dynamic capabilities that enable adaptation, supply chain transformative capabilities include four core dimensions: triggering, envisioning, navigating, and stabilizing capabilities. By using a multiple‐case study approach involving six Italian companies related to fashion and furniture sectors, we investigate these concepts and identify the microfoundations of supply chain transformative capabilities for circularity. They are classified with reference to individuals, processes, and structures. Our findings illustrate how supply chains can facilitate and effectively govern their circular transformation by developing the transformative capabilities and their microfoundations. This paper provides valuable theoretical insights and managerial perspectives, advancing the concept of transformative supply chain management. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study aims to bridge the research gap by exploring the impact of dynamic capability and innovation on startup survival. It tests the mediating roles of competitive advantage and scrutinizes the moderating role of dynamic capabilities in the relationship between innovation and startup survival. The sample group consisted of 170 tech-startups in Thailand. We calculated the sample size based on the estimated parameter ratio for each sample, which was determined using stratified random sampling. We conducted online (Google Forms) and paper (post office) surveys after systematic sampling. The analysis included confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structural equation modeling (SEM). The causal relationship model and the empirical data agreed well without adjusting the model, and it was found that dynamic capability did not have a direct effect on the survival of startups. However, the influence of dynamic capability and innovation on the survival of startups through competitive advantage was found to have statistical significance. Furthermore, startups can amplify the impact of innovation on competitive advantage by enhancing their dynamic capabilities. Startups can achieve this by identifying and recognizing opportunities that arise from environmental changes, absorption, and reconfiguration. The implication identified in this research is that startups have a better chance of survival when they have a competitive advantage, employ and encourage innovation, and implement dynamic capability. SUPPLY chains ,TRANSACTION cost theory of the firm ,AGENCY theory ,THEORY of the firm - Abstract
In the wake of technological innovation, supply chain transparency has become a concrete avenue for long-awaited improvements to supply chain processes and practices. Transparency is of particular interest to Supply Chain Finance; however, it is yet empirically unknown whether and how benefits would materialise. Being at the interface of finance and operations, Supply Chain Finance aims at improving the inter-company management of financial flows. Nowadays, different financing schemes are offered foremost by cooperation between financial institutions and fintechs. Uncertainty remains on whether and how supply chain transparency would benefit these schemes to allow the adoption of more sophisticated, higher-value schemes. By applying the Gioia method, we analysed a series of interviews with experts from the Supply Chain Finance industry regarding transaction cost economics, agency theory, and dynamic capability. The resulting series of pragmatic, theory-grounded but practice-inspired propositions untangle the relationship and barriers between supply chain transparency and Supply Chain Finance. The propositions provide advances in the theoretical understanding of Supply Chain Finance and uncover relevant directions for future research. This poses the base for actionable results in future research and leads to an impact in research by addressing the concerns and tensions raised by Supply Chain Finance experts. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The hospitality industry faces significant challenges in achieving sustainable performance, particularly amidst a rapidly changing market and environmental uncertainties. Unfortunately, previous studies have paid limited attention to this specific aspect of performance. This study explores the antecedents – organizational resilience, dynamic capabilities, agile leadership, and organizational ambidexterity – that contribute to sustainable performance among managers in this sector. A self-administered electronic questionnaire was used to collect primary data from 210 hotel managers at various levels in Makassar, Indonesia, following a purposive sampling approach. The relationships were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0. The results indicate that organizational resilience and agile leadership significantly influence sustainable performance, while dynamic capability and organizational ambidexterity do not show a significant impact. Furthermore, both organizational resilience and dynamic capability are significant to organizational ambidexterity, and they also significantly contribute to agile leadership. These findings illuminate the critical determinants affecting sustainable performance in the hospitality sector, providing valuable insights for practitioners and policymakers aiming to enhance sustainability practices in the industry.

Tourism is one of the most dynamic economic activities, which plays an essential role in sustainable development. Consequently, the significance of this industry in economic and cultural development has prompted the majority of regional. Despite the significant potential of many cities, such as Shiraz, tourism industries have remained underdeveloped. This study delves into the role of tourism service quality, specifically exploring the impact of knowledge management on service quality mediated by dynamic capabilities. Since the concept of knowledge management is used to accept and embrace intangible capital and sharing knowledge in organizations, this research aims to investigate the effect of knowledge management among tourism units’ employees on the quality of tourism services through the utilization of dynamic capabilities. The statistical population of the research included the employees of Travel Agencies in Shiraz, 119 of whom were selected as a statistical sample using Cochran's formula. A conceptual model, in the form of four hypotheses, examines the relationship exists between dynamic capability and knowledge management, the relationship between dynamic capability and the quality of tourism services, the relationship between knowledge management and the quality of tourism services, and consequently, the significant relationship between knowledge management and the quality of tourism services are all taken into account with dynamic capability plays a mediating role. The findings of this research using structural equation modelling, indicate the presence of a significant relation between knowledge management and dynamic capability and the absence of a relationship between dynamic capability and the quality of tourism services. 1. Introduction In recent decades, organizations and companies have increasingly focused on knowledge, leading to concepts such as knowledge-based work, knowledge management, and knowledge organizations. This trend highlights the growing importance of knowledge in creating significant power from minimal resources (De Bem Machado et al., 2022). The rapidly changing world necessitates organizations to adopt new concepts like knowledge management to survive. Knowledge management assists organizations in finding, selecting, organizing, and disseminating important information. Research indicates that traditional organizations primarily focus on managing physical resources and base their competitive advantages on that focus (Fauzi, 2022). However, the knowledge era has rendered many traditional approaches ineffective, while new orientations rely on intangible resources such as knowledge. Many organizations implement knowledge management programs without understanding the key influencing factors, often leading to failure (Liu et al., 2022). Conversely, organizations that have pioneered knowledge management regard it as a powerful tool for gaining market advantage and improving performance. Consequently, many businesses are exploring how knowledge management can help them achieve a more integrated and coordinated approach. Since the tourism industry is one of the most prosperous branches of economic growth and business globally, especially in developing countries, knowledge management can be considered a helpful tool for this service industry. The specific sensitivities of this industry have led managers to focus on this crucial aspect over the past decade (Martins et al., 2019). Considering the high potential of tourism in many cities, examining the factors influencing the quality of tourism agencies has become essential. The research reveals numerous factors affecting service quality, such as innovation in service delivery, responsiveness, reliability, and customer relationship management. One factor that has received less attention is employee knowledge management. Thus, this study focuses on the impact of employee knowledge management in tourism units on the quality of tourism services offered by travel agencies. Specifically, it seeks to answer whether employee knowledge management in tourism units affects the quality of tourism services in travel agencies, with the role of dynamic capabilities in mediating. The travel agencies in Shiraz, a prominent destination for national and international tourists, are considered as a case study. This research aims to identify critical components to provide strategies for successfully implementing knowledge management in travel agencies. The main objective is to elucidate the relation between dynamic capabilities and knowledge management with the quality of tourism services in travel agencies. Other objectives of this research include: Defining the relation between dynamic capabilities and knowledge management in travel agencies. Defining the relation between the quality of tourism services and dynamic capabilities in travel agencies. Defining the relation between the quality of tourism services and knowledge management in travel agencies. Defining the relation between the quality of tourism services and knowledge management in travel agencies dynamic capabilities play a role in mediating. 2. Literature Review In this section, to present the originality and novelty of the current study, the literature review in the field of tourism is summarized as follows. Rezai et al. (2023) analysed tourism development in Shiraz with a resilience approach using the Meta-SWOT model, assessing internal and external tourism resources and providing strategies to achieve tourism development with resilience. Shirmohammadi and Shirzadi (2022), examined the effect of tourist satisfaction on brand loyalty to a destination, with tourist satisfaction in the post-COVID-19 world (East Asian tourists) as a mediating variable. The study included twelve hypotheses, all except two were confirmed using structural equation modeling. Kiu (2006) examined previous research and conceptual framework for a research agenda in knowledge management in tourism. Rouhan (2008), in an article entitled "Advancement of the Sustainability Debate: A Knowledge Management Approach to Sustainable Tourism Planning," investigated the transfer of academic knowledge on sustainability to the public tourism sector's performance, indicating that knowledge has not been effectively disseminated at the destination level. Shaw and Williams (2009), examined current research on knowledge management and transfer in tourism organizations, exploring fundamental mechanisms and channels of knowledge transfer and concepts such as co-management, communities of practice, learning regions, and labor mobility. Sigala and Chalkiti (2014), in a research paper entitled "Examining the Use of Web 2.0 for Knowledge Management in the Greek Tourism Industry: A Utilization-Importance Analysis," examined the role of information technology in supporting knowledge management processes. Their demonstration showed how the use of Web 2.0 in different ways reflects different levels of knowledge management practices that are supported by technology. They also collected empirical data from tourism professionals to analyze the type and level of use of Web 2.0 utilization for knowledge management in the Greek tourism industry. By integrating these studies, this research aims to fill the gap in understanding the impact of employee knowledge management on tourism service quality, particularly dynamic capabilities play a crucial role in mediating. 3. Methodology This research aims to identify the relationship between knowledge management and the quality of tourism services in travel agencies, with dynamic capabilities as a mediating factor. The study is applied in nature and is descriptive in terms of data collection. The statistical population of the current research is the employees of travel agencies in Shiraz City; due to the comprehensive tourist attractions and the number of travel agencies, the statistical population is infinite; therefore, to determine the exact sample size, Cochran's formula is considered, which is the calculation of the error value of 0.09 equal to one hundred nineteen people, and this number was selected from among the employees of travel agencies in Shiraz city based on random sampling method. Data were collected using a questionnaire with three sections: knowledge management (independent variable) with fourteen questions, dynamic capabilities (mediating variable) with eight questions, and service quality (dependent variable) with eight questions, measured on a 5-point Likert scale (1 = strongly disagree to 5 = strongly agree). One hundred twenty-five questionnaires were distributed, with one hundred nineteen valid ones used for statistical analysis. Content validity was ensured through expert opinions, while reliability was assessed using Cronbach's alpha, indicating internal consistency. Variables were defined through interviews with tourism experts, whose feedback was incorporated. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was used for final analysis and hypothesis testing. Finally, to check the proper model and to check the proper model and assess the significance of inter-variable relationships, the path analysis method was used. It should be mentioned that Path analysis is a statistical methodology that relies on multivariate regression analysis that is used to measure relationships in a model. 4. Results The tourism literature includes only a few studies on knowledge management, indicating limited professional knowledge management in tourism companies. This study focuses on tourism service quality, examining the impact of employee knowledge management in tourism units on service quality, the mediating variable being dynamic capabilities. In this research, knowledge management is the independent variable, service quality is the dependent variable, and dynamic capabilities are the mediating variable. The findings, with 95% confidence, are as follows: The first hypothesis examines the relation between dynamic capabilities and knowledge management in travel agencies. The standardized factor loading was 0.543, and the t-statistic was 8.035, a value that exceeds the critical value of 1.96. Thus, hypothesis one is confirmed, indicating a significant relationship. The second hypothesis examines the relationship between dynamic capabilities and tourism service quality. The standardized factor loading was 0.181, and the t-statistic was 1.270, which is lower than the critical value of 1.96. Thus, hypothesis two is rejected. The third hypothesis examines the relationship between knowledge management and tourism service quality in Shiraz. The standardized factor loading was 0.302, and the t-statistic was 1.866, which is lower than the critical value of 1.96. Thus, hypothesis three is rejected. Finally, examining the significant relation between the quality of tourism services and knowledge management in travel agencies involves the mediating role of dynamic capability was regarded as the last hypothesis, based on the results, the standard factor loading for the random variables of knowledge management and quality of tourism services adjusted with the dynamic ability variable was calculated as -0.039. The value of ''t'' statistic was also 0.488, which is under the critical value of 1.96. Therefore, it can be said that hypothesis four is rejected. 5. Conclusion Today, the tourism industry is one of the most promising fields; and, referred to as the development corridor, has become one of the main economic sectors. In today's knowledge-based economy, more emphasis is placed on managing organizational intangible knowledge assets. This is also true for the tourism industry, which can be considered a knowledge-based field. However, the tourism literature includes only a few studies on knowledge management. This concept can be regarded from different aspects, as the current research emphasizes the quality aspect of tourism services and aims to investigate the impact of knowledge management of employees of tourism units on the quality of tourism services of travel agencies. dynamic capabilities play a mediating roleBased on the results that were mentioned in the previous section, the following suggestions are made to develop the tourism industry to its maximum potential: · Given the confirmed relationship between knowledge management and dynamic capabilities, according to the first hypothesis, organizations should create an environment conducive to knowledge management. This involves fostering a favourable work environment for creating, managing, transferring, and reflecting knowledge to employees, enabling continuous enhancement of their capabilities. Due to the lack of a relationship between dynamic capabilities and tourism service quality, organizations should focus on internal matters. To improve service quality, all aspects of tourism enterprises, such as employee knowledge, human resources, and equipment, should be continuously expanded and updated. Based on the result of the third hypothesis, it is suggested that, in order to increase the quality of tourism services, various innovative means should be considered. These means include implementing personal branding of the target agency, introducing and showcasing tourist attractions and facilities of the province, improving the provision of tourism services by considering attractive advertising programs, and upgrading and extending lodging facilities. According to the last hypothesis, since the relation between service quality and knowledge management with dynamic capabilities as a mediator was not confirmed, tourism enterprises should aim to become a source of competitive advantage indirectly. Based on the results, this hypothesis is also rejected. Accordingly, it is recommended that tourism agencies become more competitive.

This study explores how start-ups manage high-turbulent markets during the first six-months of the COVID-19 pandemic, and how dynamic capabilities are operationalized in that situation. A multiple-case study approach was employed to investigate eight start-up cases in Indonesia. Indonesia was chosen to represent an emerging economy with a tremendous growing number of start-ups. The data are presented based on the evolving circumstances of the COVID-19 crisis. The research findings illustrate how dynamic capabilities are operationalized simultaneously with the validation of adjusted business models through simple-experiential routines, iterative executions, and action-oriented processes amidst the high-turbulent markets. Dynamic capabilities that operate in full combination by sensing, seizing, and transforming capabilities potentially can facilitate the creation of values for firms faster than otherwise. This study also identifies specific elements and alignment mechanisms incorporated in the dynamic capabilities. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

BLACK swan theory ,SUPPLY & demand ,SUPPLY chains ,EVIDENCE gaps ,FUZZY sets - Abstract
The global supply chains sustainability and viability has been severely impacted due to the emergence of black swan events such as COVID‐19. Previous studies have examined how to enhance supply chain sustainability from a single internal capability perspective or an external relationship perspective, few studies have examined the combined effects of internal and external factors to enhance supply chain sustainability. To fill this research gap, this study investigates the multivariate relationship from internal capabilities and external relationships mutually complementary perspective to improve supply chain sustainability. Grounded on dynamic capabilities theory and relational view, we put forward the supply chain dynamic capability construct under the internal perspective, and relationship construct with supply chain members under the external perspective. Based on the configuration theory, 270 data from enterprises were analyzed using fsQCA (fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis), and the results shows that: first, there is no necessary condition for generating high supply chain sustainability, which means that individual factors do not lead to high supply chain sustainability; second, this study identified two paths to achieve high supply chain sustainability: capability‐driven and relationship‐driven, which reflects the multiple paths and complex mechanisms to achieve high supply chain sustainability; third, this study finds the important role of supply chain dynamic reconfiguring capability in forming high supply chain sustainability. These results can provide some theoretical guidance for enterprises to improve supply chain sustainability and achieve high quality economic development. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
The sustainable growth and development of SRDI (specialized, refined, differentiated, and innovative) enterprises is an important foundation for promoting critical core technology breakthroughs and achieving high-quality economic development. Digital transformation is a power source that cannot be ignored in the process of enterprise growth. Based on the dynamic capability theory, this paper takes the listed national-level SRDI "Little Giants" enterprises in China from 2015 to 2022 as the research sample and empirically analyzes the intrinsic influence mechanism of digital transformation on the sustainable growth of SRDI enterprises. The study results show that digital transformation has a positive impact on both dynamic capabilities and the sustainable growth of SRDI enterprises. Dynamic capabilities positively affect the sustainable growth of SRDI enterprises, and the coordination and integration capability and learning and absorption capability of dynamic capabilities play a mediating role between digital transformation and the sustainable growth of SRDI enterprises. In addition, this study further finds that the contribution of digital transformation to the sustainable growth of SRDI enterprises is more significant among smaller enterprises, non-state-owned enterprises, and manufacturing enterprises. The findings enrich the research on the theoretical mechanisms of digital transformation for enterprise growth and provide empirical evidence and practical insights for the survival and development of SRDI enterprises and other small and medium-sized enterprises. AbstractThe purpose of this paper is to investigate the impact of sustainability innovation and supply chain resilience on sustainability performance and to predict the interrelationship between economic, environmental, and social performances. Using a cross-sectional quantitative study, an online survey was conducted among the Chinese cold chain logistics companies, and 204 valid responses were collected. Data analysis was conducted using the partial least squares structural equation modelling approach. The results indicated that sustainability innovation and supply chain resilience positively affect three pillars of sustainability performance. Within sustainability performance, economic performance has a significant positive correlation with environmental and social performances, while environmental performance has no effect on social performance. The findings made constructive contributions. Theoretically, this study contributes to dynamic capability theory by predicting the direct impact of sustainability innovation and supply chain resilience on sustainability performance in a model that is relatively new in the literature. In addition, this study examines the relationship between economic, environmental, and social performances in a unique context (i.e. the cold chain logistics industry). Practically, this study will guide practitioners in developing innovative and resilient strategies committed to business sustainability and urge policymakers to develop policies such as subsidies, regulation, and training programmes to promote innovation and collaboration in this industry.

This paper develops an integrated methodology aimed at diagnosing supply chain resilience in terms of (1) internal dynamic capabilities of an enterprise, and (2) resilience of its suppliers. In addition, unlike other research, it integrates the suppliers’ resilience evaluation into the order size allocation plan. Multi-attribute decision making (MADM) algorithms were employed to quantify the relative importance to evaluate the internal and external resilience of an enterprise. Furthermore, the MADM output was combined with a multi-objective programming model formulated to solve the order size problem considering economic and resilience objectives. The applicability of the developed methodology is demonstrated via a dairy manufacturing enterprise that suffered from disruptions attributed to COVID-19. The results translate the enterprise’s non-viable manufacturing due to its poor external and internal resilience profiles. It is emphasized that if an enterprise fails to develop internal capabilities such as readiness and sensing, the enterprise could also fail in managing external resilience. A resilient supply chain requires a blend of internal and external resilience. This work represents the first quantitative attempt to provide a unified methodology for identifying and measuring internal and external resilience. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The insurance industry contributes to the smooth running of the economy. Unfortunately, not every country develops insurance at a high level; that is, the level of insurance penetration is low. This is happening in Nigeria. Therefore, this study aims to establish the effect of competitive positioning on the market share of selected insurance companies in Lagos State, Nigeria. The study adopts a survey research design. A structured instrument was used for data collection using the modified six-point Likert-type scale. The questionnaire was divided into three sections (about respondents’ demographic factors, competitive positioning, and market share). The population was 2,183 management-level employees from the 20 selected insurance companies. The sample size of 507 was determined using stratified random sampling and proportionate method. Test-retest method was used to validate the instrument, while the reliability was determined through internal consistency method. The Cronbach Alpha coefficients ranged from 0.71 to 0.88. Response rate of 86.7% was achieved. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used for analysis. Findings reveal that competitive positioning components have a significant effect on market share (Adj.R2 = 0.194, F(5. 434) = 22.097, p < 0.05). The results demonstrate that if all the competitive positioning components were set to zero, the market share of selected insurance companies in Lagos State would be 6.537, which is a positive value. Thus, competitive positioning components significantly affect market share. As a result, this study found that insurers would benefit from increasing their focus on developing the strategic asset and research and development aspects of competitive positioning to expand their market share. The startup must be able to innovate in response to the uncertainty of the business environment, which is changing rapidly along with advances in technology. This study aims to analyze the relationship between learning culture, belief, boundary control, dynamic capabilities, and innovation performance. Quantitative methods with AMOS and structural equation modeling were used to test 260 samples. Questionnaires were distributed among startup companies in Banten Province, Indonesia. The research results show that dynamic capabilities and the development of management control systems are influenced by learning culture. The findings inform that a strong learning culture attitude produces company confidence and a management boundary control system that can adapt to uncertain environmental changes. Startup companies should motivate their personnel to improve competence through a learning culture. The role of innovation performance is also indirectly influenced by beliefs and boundary control systems. Recognition of personnel abilities and contributions in collaboration with external sources opens up opportunities to compete in business. This finding is a key factor explaining that startup companies must face a rapidly changing environment by optimizing management’s ability to innovate, implementing management control systems routinely, and building a trust system to inspire and motivate employees.
