A presente pesquisa de doutorado teve como objetivo investigar a prática de música antiga e de música do século XX no ambiente coral das décadas de 1960 e 1970 de São Paulo, discutindo as principais questões interpretativas que permearam a performance desses repertórios que emergem de fontes bibliográficas, bem como de um conjunto de fontes documentais e fontes orais estabelecido especialmente para a pesquisa. São investigadas questões relacionadas a práticas de repertório, sonoridade e técnica vocal, estilo de interpretação e recursos interpretativos empregados em um conjunto de coros que tiveram atuação relevante na difusão da prática em São Paulo. Neste trabalho, foram utilizadas a pesquisa bibliográfica, a pesquisa documental em acervos e a realização de entrevistas com intérpretes colaboradores como principais procedimentos metodológicos. Como referenciais teóricos, foram adotados os trabalhos de Lawson e Stowell (2012), Leech-Wilkinson (2009), Cotta (2006), Lopez (2003) e Certeau (1982). Como colaboradores, são entrevistados os regentes Roberto Martins, Lutero Rodrigues e Marco Antonio da Silva Ramos, intérpretes de ampla vivência nas práticas corais de São Paulo, não apenas no período compreendido pelo recorte temporal da pesquisa, como também no âmbito das práticas atuais. A tese é composta por dois Capítulos, Conclusão e Apêndices. Como uma pesquisa na área de questões interpretativas que se situa campo da História da Performance Musical e, portanto, tem parte fundamental do trabalho constituída por pesquisa histórica aliada à discussão de questões e práticas interpretativas, a estrutura embasada em dois capítulos procura contemplar as discussões de maior cunho histórico no Capítulo I, enquanto destina ao Capítulo II a parte de análise e discussão de questões interpretativas. Nas Conclusão, são expostos os resultados da presente pesquisa, que compreendem, primeiramente, o estabelecimento de perfis dos coros estudados, a realização de um panorama das atividades corais das décadas de 1960 e 1970 e a reunião de informações de valor histórico para o canto coral em São Paulo que estavam anteriormente dispersos em diversos acervos. Contribui, também, para a discussão e reflexão a respeito de questões interpretativas diversas que permearam a prática coral do período, propõe revisões da historiografia musical brasileira a respeito da prática e construção de repertórios no canto coral, bem como contribui para a ampliação da visão a respeito da vanguarda e de seu envolvimento com a performance coral na segunda metade do século XX. Em última análise, uma contribuição significativa da presente pesquisa também se apresenta nas entrevistas feitas especialmente no âmbito da presente pesquisa, que expõem a trajetória e a atividade artística dos intérpretes colaboradores e suas reflexões a respeito do ambiente coral de São Paulo e a respeito da performance musical. As entrevistas são publicadas, na íntegra, nos Apêndices. O Anexo apresenta link com os arquivos de áudio de toda a documentação sonora utilizada na presente tese. This doctoral research aimed to investigate the practice of early music and twentieth century music in the choral environment of the 1960s and 1970s in São Paulo, discussing the main interpretative issues that permeated the performance of these repertoires that emerge from bibliographical sources, as well as a set of documentary and oral sources established especially for the research. We investigate issues related to repertoire practices, sonority and vocal technique, interpretation style and interpretative resources used in a group of choirs that played a relevant role in the dissemination of the practice in São Paulo. This work uses bibliographical research, documentary research in collections and interviews with collaborating interpreters as the main methodological procedures. As theoretical references, we used Lawson and Stowell (2012), Leech-Wilkinson (2009), Cotta (2006), Lopez (2003) and Certeau (1982). As collaborators, conductors Roberto Martins, Lutero Rodrigues and Marco Antonio da Silva Ramos are interviewed, as interpreters with extensive experience in the choral practices of São Paulo, not only in the period covered by the time frame of the research, but also for current practices. The thesis consists of two chapters, conclusions, and appendices. As a research in the area of interpretative questions that is located in the field of History of Musical Performance, and which, therefore, has an important part of historical research allied to the discussion of interpretative issues and practices, the structure based on two chapters seeks to contemplate the discussions of greater historical nature in Chapter I, while assigning to Chapter II the analysis and discussion of interpretative issues. In Conclusion, the results of the present research are presented, which comprise, firstly, the establishment of profiles of the researched choirs, the realization of an overview of the choral activities of the 1960s and 1970s and the gathering of information of historical value for choral singing in São Paulo that were previously dispersed in several collections. It also contributes to discussion and reflection on various interpretative issues that permeated the choral practice of the period, as well as proposing reviews of Brazilian musical historiography regarding the practice and construction of repertoires in choral singing, as well as contributing to the expansion of vision of the avant-garde and its involvement with choral performance in the second half of the 20th century. Ultimately, a significant contribution of this research is also presented in the interviews made especially within the scope of this research, which expose the trajectory and artistic activity of the collaborating interpreters and their reflections on the choral environment of São Paulo and on musical performance. The interviews are published, in full, in the Appendices. The Annex presents a link with the audio files of all the sound documentation used in this thesis.

Dissertação de mestrado em Sociologia (área de especialização em Sociologia da Saúde), O presente estudo foi efectuado com o objectivo de avaliar os efeitos das condições de trabalho na saúde, em particular os efeitos do trabalho por turnos e a sua interferência na capacidade parta o trabalho. Pretendeu-se Estudar a capacidade laboral e a situação de saúde, mediante a determinação do ICT e do perfil de saúde dos trabalhadores, relacionar o ICT dos trabalhadores com o seu perfil de saúde e analisar o impacto do trabalho por turnos na saúde e na capacidade laboral. Participaram neste estudo 327 polícias em serviço no Comando da Polícia de Segurança Pública de Braga. A metodologia utilizada centrou-se na aplicação do questionário do ICT e do questionário DUKE – PERFIL DE SAÚDE, ambos adaptados para a população portuguesa. A análise dos dados foi feita no SPSS, versão 15. Os resultados revelaram que os inquiridos apresenta uma situação de saúde com um “score de saúde geral” com (M=72,8; DP= 15,44). Quanto ao ICT, constatou-se que 42,5% dos inquiridos apresenta “Boa capacidade “para o trabalho, 29,4% “Moderada capacidade”, 19%, “ Excelente capacidade” e 9,2% tem uma “pobre capacidade” para o trabalho. Estes resultados apresentam valores abaixo, dos tidos como padrão para a população portuguesa, o que significa que estes trabalhadores devem ser avaliados com outros instrumentos e acompanhados. De entre as variáveis estabelecidas pelo DUKE – PERFIL DE SAÚDE, a correlação de Pearsons revelou a existência de uma correlação altamente significativa (p=.000) entre as variáveis consideradas, com excepção da “auto-estima” e o ICT, pelo que quanto melhor for a qualidade da saúde física, mental e social, melhor será a condição da capacidade para o trabalho. Não se provou que o trabalho nocturno interfira negativamente no ICT, pois para todos os grupos etários considerados, os valores do ICT dos sujeitos que trabalham por turnos nocturnos, não se distinguem dos que trabalham durante o dia. Provou-se que o ICT diminui com o aumento do tempo de serviço em regime de turnos com turno nocturno., The purpose of this Study was to evaluate the Health’s effects of shift working on labour conditions, especially its effects in labour capacity. Perceiving the link between labour capacity and health conditions, by determining the WAI (Work Ability Index) and the workers’ health profile, pointing out the shift work effects on health and labour capacity. The survey was made with a group of 327 police officers of the Comando da Polícia de Segurança Pública de Braga (Braga Central Police Station). The methology followed was the Inquiry, using 2 instruments: WAI Inquiry and the DUKE Inquiry – Health Profile, both of them gauged to the Portuguese population. The data was analyzed by the SPSS, statistics computer program, version 15. The results showed that the people inquired present a “General Health Score” of M=72,8; DP= 15,44. In what concerns the WAI results, the analysis shows that 42,5% has “Good Capacity” to work, 29,4% “Moderate Capacity”, 19% “Excellent Capacity” and only 9,2% are classified as having “Weak Capacity” to work. These are low rate results in comparison to the standard values for the Portuguese population. Meaning, the inquired population should be measured with other measurement instruments and surveillance. The defined variables by DUKE – Health Profile, Pearsons’ correlation, has shown a highly significant correlation (p=.000) between the studied variables. The exception is on the “self-esteem” and WAI items. Thus, it can be concluded that the better the physical, mental and social health conditions the better the labour capacity to work will be. It was not possible to determine that night shift work affects negatively WAI. In the studied groups of all ages, the values of the WAI of the people making night-shift work are similar to the ones that work on a day shift basis. On the other hand it was proved that the WAI values of the people working on night shifts decreases as working years increase.
