The Don Bosco Preventive System is an educational proposal that is based on the relationship of closeness, trust and respect between educators and students. This proposal has been continually renewed to respond to youth needs in contemporary contexts. However, it is still necessary to delve deeper into their contributions to a pedagogy of otherness and self-care. Self-care is an essential component of education, as it allows people to explore their own identity, develop their skills and unleash their potential. Likewise, it encourages the construction of positive relationships with others. Otherness, for its part, is defined as the ability to recognize the other as a unique individual, endowed with his or her own capabilities and potential. This research is based on the qualitative approach, using hermeneutics and exegesis as fundamental analysis tools. The objective of this work is to analyze the pedagogy of otherness and self-care in the Don Bosco Preventive System. It is concluded that Don Bosco's Preventive System is a pedagogical proposal focused on otherness and self-care. This proposal identifies the other as a unique and precious individual. It encourages the meeting and recognition of the capabilities of young people, valuing their cultural, personal and identity differences. Likewise, it creates an educational ecosystem that adapts to the needs of society, thus contributing to the construction of another more human world. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Despite being the largest group in the Salesian Family, with 100,000 affiliated members worldwide, the Past Pupils of Don Bosco Movement has to date lacked a biography of their charismatic founder, the Turin-born Carlo Gastini (1833–1902), the 120th anniversary of whose death was commemorated in 2022. A family man, bookbinder and teacher, as well as occasional poet and actor, he was the first boarder at the Oratory of Saint Francis de Sales. Little was known about him, beyond three specific anecdotes. However, from 1847 to 1902, he was linked to Valdocco as a pupil (first as a day pupil and then as a boarder), seminarian, parishioner, worker and entertainer. His life was parallel to that of Don Bosco himself, who was a second father to him, and to the development of his own congregation, the Salesian Family and even Italy as a nation. The culmination of his gratitude since 1849 was the charismatic foundation, in 1870, of the Past Pupils of Don Bosco Movement, which celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2020. Its basis was simple: create an instrument of mutual help among his former colleagues, just as Don Bosco had taught them to do when they were students at the Oratory. Creating a cohesive group centred on values is a proposal for facing difficulties together. In Spain, the Movement found one of its deepest-rooted abodes.

The present artícle-essay aims to point out some notes that make it possible to perceive Don Bosco's life actíon, that is, his way of actíng, as being the fruit of the comprehension of a man who understood the Incarnate Word, God incarnate in the concrete reality of every human person, not alien to the sufferings and social dilemmas. To answer this objective, the method adopted for this research will be deductive-inductive. As for the methodology, it will be a literature review. It is possible to note that, besides being a spiritual leader, Don Bosco was a deeply "human" man, for he understood the reality of human existence in its existential and real peripheries, not only spiritual. He lived and experimented with this method all his life. Gradually it grew, understood and became more specific in settings and institutions managed by his collaborators and their disciples across the globe. Profesionalno kompetentni učitelji trebaju biti svjesni implicitnih utjecaja unutar i izvan odgojno-obrazovne ustanove, koji utječu na kulturu škole i usvajanje temeljnih vrijednosti svih dionika. Danas je više nego ikad potrebno voditi se postavkama pedagogije djelotvorne ljubavi don Bosca, koji je odgajao vlastitim primjerom te utvrdio temelje preventivnoga sustava utemeljenoga na ljubavi prema učenicima.

10. Apostolic consciousness of Don Bosco. A hermeneutical-phenomenological approach to his spirituality

In this brief article, the author seeks to evince the structure of Don Bosco’s apostolic cons- ciousness through a hermeneutical phenomenological analysis of a sample of first-hand writings, discourses and narratives of Don Bosco. These texts cover a span of over thirty years (1847 to 1879) which represent the phase in which Don Bosco (aged 32 to 64) was actively involved in youth apos- tolate. Insofar as apostolate or mission implies the conviction of being sent, “apostolic consciousness of Don Bosco” can be understood to comprise the consciousness he manifests about the reality of youth, about himself, and about God, in realizing the ultimate scope life. Such an apostolic consciou- sness can be regarded as the core of Salesian spirituality.

Reflecting on the definition of educational poverty proposed by Save the Children Italy in 2014, the article focuses on the experience of Don Giovanni Bosco, a forerunner in the prevention and fight against multiple forms of material and immaterial poverty. In the context of the nineteenth century’s socio-economic changes, the Piedmontese priest sensed that it was necessary to act on the educational front. The article highlights how Don Bosco, starting from his personal experience of deprivation, committed to ensuring a rich education and a solid educational community. His proposal for integral education is connected to professional training and integration in the workplace and it is noted how still is effective in germinating even minimal individual resources. The pedagogy developed by Don Bosco and Freire originates in two different moments in history, but there are certain similarities in the political, social and economic reality experienced by these two great thinkers, in fact their context is similar by be characterized by an environment of exclusion, inequality, exploitation, illiteracy and poverty, where the State is the main promoter of repression and guarantor of the status quo of those who hold power and control the country's economy. Therefore, the present work assumes the objective of analyzing the pedagogical approaches of Don Bosco and Freire, which from a hermeneutical methodology is interpreted and exegested all the documentation collected to approach the most significant contributions of these positions and find the various parallels in his pedagogical works that are presumably antagonistic. It is concluded that both pedagogical reflections, which belong to two different moments in the history of ideas, agreed on the fact that it was necessary to develop an education that would allow them to change the reality of the always excluded, they opted for the preference option of the poor, as Jesus did at the time, not only questioning the repressive system of his time both at the political and educational level, but also devised and gave his life to the integral formation of the human being from a new pedagogy. The pedagogy formulated by Don Bosco in the nineteenth century, which has its roots in a particular historical context, that of Italy and the city of Turin, has been characterized from the outset by the ambition of a worldwide diffusion. The article presents a case study which focuses on the Salesian mission in Katanga (Democratic Republic of Congo). Tracking the itinerary followed by Don Bosco's pedagogical system the paper analyses, on the one hand, his relationship with the project of colonial domination and, on the other, the process of canonization of Saint John Bosco in Europe.

The article deals with youth aggression and the measures taken by the Catholic Church in Italy to prevent this phenomenon. The Catholic Church sees the cause of violence in breaking of traditional ties, individualism, moral relativism, fragmentation in postmodern society, in the desire of European States to monopolize and ideologize the education of young people, removing the family from this process and giving it an exclusively secular character. The "gold standard" of Catholic education in Italy is the Salesian pedagogical program. The Catholic Church makes a choice in favour of a preventive educational method, stimulates mentors to abandon the extremes: agnosticism, subjectivism, paternalism, authoritarianism in pedagogy — to prevent unwanted actions or aggression of teenagers. An important place in the theoretical developments of the Church is given to the education of adolescents critical attitude to the media, support for the family, evangelization, protection of traditional values, formation of a humanitariarism

O pressuposto do trabalho é a relação entre imaginário e institucionalidade, onde o imaginário é o fundamento a priori da concepção de realidade e sua representação, e as instituições são sua manifestação simbólica para regular a vida social, a ação e a conduta. Este conceito é aplicado para analisar a criação do vicariato e prefeitura da Patagônia e suas consequências institucionais. - Abstract
The article describes "Follow Me" ["Seguimi"], an environmental educational project created by the Mario Diana Onlus Foundation, which over the past two years has taken it to dozens of schools in the provinces of Naples and Caserta. The article shows how, in response to a social emergency such as the waste crisis in the Campania region of southern Italy, answers can be provided to the territory through an educational initiative based on new, modern, pro-social models of learning. Project activities involve not only the beneficiaries, but they also become educational material for the educators themselves, for whom a job becomes a "mission" and vice versa. Drawing from Pope Francis's view of education, with the three languages of the head, the heart, and the hands, the article plays off the word that gives the project its name and concludes that educating towards human values is also educating towards transcendence. Odgoj i obrazovanje postoji od nastanka čovjeka, a razvijanjem čovjeka kroz povijest odgoj se mijenjao i nadopunjavao. U toj povijesti odgoja pojavio se izvanredni odgojitelj don Ivan Bosco. On je kroz svoj Preventivni sustav ostavio veliko bogatstvo za pedagošku znanost. U temelje Preventivnog sustava stavio je razum, vjeru i ljubaznost. Razum je u centru svakog odgoja, a to znači da vjerujemo u djetetove ili čovjekove (ako se radi o odgoju odraslih) sposobnosti. Razum povezujemo sa vjerom i ljubaznošću. Vjera nam daje smisao ljudskog postojanja i zbog toga mora biti razumna. Ljubaznost, osim što povezujemo sa svakodnevnom ljudskom ljubavi, ona potiče i ozračje sreće i radosti. Don Bosco je utemeljio rimokatolički crkveni red papinskog prava – Salezijance ili Družba Sv. Franje Saleškog koji djeluju u nekoliko gradova i manjih mjesta naše Domovine Hrvatske. Njihov salezijanski duh privlači mnogu djecu i mlade na iskustvo Dječja Ljeta gdje se posebno ističu salezijanske odgojne metode. Također, odgajati u salezijanskom duhu itekako je moguće i u obitelji. Glavni cilj ovoga rada je upoznati se sa Preventivnim odgojnim sustavom koji budućim i sadašnjim odgojiteljima (ali i roditeljima!) može pomoći u njihovom odgoju i pogledu na dijete rane i predškolske dobi., Upbringing and education have existed since the beginning of man. With the development of man throughout history, education has changed and supplemented. In that history of education, it appears the extraordinary educator Ivan Bosco. He left a great fortune for pedagogical science through his Preventive System. He put reason, faith and kindness into the foundations of the Preventive System. Reason is at the center of all upbringing, wich means that we believe in the child's or man's (if it is adult upbringing) abilities. We associate reason with faith and kindness. Faith gives us the meaning of human existence and therefore must be reasonable. Kindness, in addition to connecting us with everyday human love, it also encourages an atmosphere of happiness and joy. Bosco founded the Roman Catholic Church Order of Papal Law – the Salesians or the Society of St. Francis of Sales who operate in several cities and smaller towns of our Homeland Croatia. Their Salesian spirit attracts many children and young people to the experience of the Children's Summer, where Salesian educational methods stand out. Also, it is very possible to educate in the Salesian spirit in the family. The main goal of this paper is to get acquainted with the Preventive Educational System, wich can help future and current educators (and parents) in their attitude and view towards children of early and preschool age.

La pedagog��a desarrollada por Don Bosco y Freire se origina en dos momentos diferentes de la historia, empero existen ciertas semejanzas de la realidad pol��tica, social y econ��mica vivida por estos dos grandes pensadores, en efecto su contexto se asemeja por estar caracterizado por un ambiente de exclusi��n, desigualdad, explotaci��n, analfabetismo y pobreza, en donde el Estado es el principal promotor de represi��n y garante del status quo de quienes ostentan el poder y controlan la econom��a del pa��s. Por lo que, el presente trabajo, asume como objetivo analizar los planteamientos pedag��gicos de Don Bosco y Freire, que desde una metodolog��a hermen��utica se interpreta y se hace exegesis de toda la documentaci��n recopilada para aproximarnos a los aportes m��s significativos de estas posturas y encontrar los diversos paralelismos en sus obras pedag��gicas que se presentan presuntamente como antag��nicas. Se concluye, que ambas reflexiones pedag��gicas, que pertenecen a dos momentos distintos de la historia de las ideas, coincidieron en el hecho que era necesario elaborar una educaci��n que les permitiera cambiar la realidad de los excluidos de siempre, apostaron por la opci��n preferencia de los pobres, como Jes��s lo hizo en su momento, no solo cuestionando el sistema represivo de su tiempo tanto a nivel pol��tico como educativo sino que idearon y entregaron su vida a la formaci��n integral del ser humano desde una nueva pedagog��a.

- Abstract
The schools of the Salesians and the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians in France have been, for many years, administered by thelay teachers. The laity have been admitted to the roles of administration by means of competitions, while the school does remain a Salesian school. In order to meet the challenge of Salesian formation for these laity, the Don Bosco Network and the Formation Services for the Houses of Don Bosco were founded by the four Salesian Provinces of France together with the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians. The formative offering was structured and consolidated over a thirty-year period, and today it consists in a two-year course made up of six modules with pedagogical and spiritual characteristics aimed at deepening the understanding of the Preventive System of Don Bosco. The Don Bosco Networkis active regionally, nationally, and internationally, with its formative offerings reaching a notable number of participants. On the Network’s website there is also the possibility to access to an online formation course. Every four years a Congress is scheduled on the themes of Salesian education, besides the Study Days and Colloquies organized on specific themes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Cilj je ovog rada prikazati don Boscovo odgojno djelovanje temeljeno na ljubavi, odnosno osvijetliti područje njegove pedagogije ljubavi te uočiti elemente suvremenog holističkog pristupa odgoju i djetetu, a koji su vidljivi i prisutni u njegovoj pedagogiji. Don Boscova pedagogija ljubavi prvo se sagledava s filozofskog gledišta, a zatim iz holističke odgojne perspektive kako bi se u njegovoj pedagogiji uočili elementi suvremenog odgojnog djelovanja i cjelovitog pristupa procesu odgoja. U radu se iznose temeljne postavke odgojnog djelovanja svećenika i pedagoga Ivana Bosca te njihova važnost i učinkovitost, kao i aktualnost i potreba u pedagogiji 21. stoljeća. Svojim životom, don Bosco je svjedočio kako ljubav jest i treba biti temelj svakog odgojnog djelovanja. Njegove metode i odgojno postupanje pokazuju holističko shvaćanje odgoja uz naglasak na ulogu ljubavi kao duhovne snage i pokretača odgojnog odnosa, važnost odgajateljeve prisutnosti među odgajanicima, uspostavu odnosa međusobnog povjerenja, prepoznavanje interesa djece, uvažavanje slobode odgajanika, važnost kvalitetnog okruženja i obiteljskog ozračja. Na kraju rada, dolazi se do zaključka kako don Boscova pedagogija ljubavi ima velik broj dodirnih točaka sa suvremenim pedagoškim poimanjem djeteta i holističkim pristupom odgoju. Don Bosco je nastojao omogućiti cjelovit razvoj svakog djeteta te je svakome odgajaniku pristupao individualno, što čini glavno mjesto prožimanja salezijanske pedagogije i suvremene znanosti o odgoju. The aim of this paper is to present don Bosco's educational work based on love, that is, to illuminate the field of his pedagogy of love and to notice the elements of a modern holistic approach to education and the child, which are visible and present in his pedagogy. Don Bosco's pedagogy of love is first viewed from a philosophical point of view and then from a holistic educational perspective in order to notice elements of modern educational process and holistic approach to the process of education in his pedagogy. The paper presents the basic assumptions of the educational activities of priest and pedagogue Ivan Bosco and their importance and effectiveness as well as the actuality and necessity in today's pedagogy of the 21st century. Throughout his life, don Bosco testified that love is and should be the foundation of all educational activities. His educational methods show a holistic understanding of education with an emphasis on the role of love as a spiritual force and initiator of the educational relationship, the importance of the educator's presence among the students, the establishment of a relationship of mutual trust, recognizing the interests of children, respecting the freedom of students, the importance of a quality environment and family atmosphere. At the end of the paper, it is concluded that don Bosco's pedagogy of love has a number of points of contact with the modern pedagogical conception of the child and a holistic approach to education. Don Bosco strived to enable the complete development of each child and approached each student individually, which is the main place of intertwining of Salesian pedagogy and modern science of education.

Tato práce se zaměřuje na charakter přenosu křesťanských morálních hodnot u Salesiánského klubu mládeže v Pardubicích. Budu zde testovat hypotézu, podle které v klubu dochází k přenosu hodnot při volnočasových aktivitách implicitním způsobem. Tyto aktivity nemají daný náboženský rámec, ale i přesto v nich podle mého předpokladu probíhá přenos křesťanských hodnot. Budu zde řešit několik témat, které se týkají mé hypotézy a celkového pohledu na tuto oblast salesiánské výchovy. Jednak je to téma hodnot, které salesiáni předávají jako prospěšné, a pak ty které považují za špatné. Poté téma náboženských a nenáboženských aktivit, které se nacházejí v salesiánském programu, jejich rozdělení a charakter. Následně budu rozebírat samotný přenos hodnot, který jsem rozdělila na dva způsoby: explicitní a implicitní. Zjistím, který z těchto způsobů se používá při určitých typech činností (náboženské a nenáboženské). Hlavní otázka mého výzkumu je: Probíhá přenos hodnot při volnočasových aktivitách u Salesiánů pouze implicitním způsobem?, This thesis focuses on character of transmission of Christian moral values in Salesian Youth Club in Pardubice. I will test my hypothesis based on assumption, that a transmission of Christian values takes place during leisure non-religious activities. According to the hypothesis this transmission is only implicit and explicit transmission of the same values takes place during religious activities such as meditation, prayers or lessons of catechism. I will elaborate the topics of Christian and secular moral values according to Salesian understanding, religious and non-religious activities and the transmission itself. Ovaj pregledni rad prikazuje život i djelo katoličkog svetca, teologa i pedagoga Ivana Bosca. Prvi dio rada prikazuje njegov život te prikazuje događaje u životu koji su pomogli oblikovati njegov rad te pedagoško i filozofsko - odgojno djelovanje. Cilj ovog rada je prikazati doprinos don Bosca u povijesti nenasilnog obrazovanja. Don Boscov obrazovni pristup donio je velike promjene u obrazovni sustav te je kontrastna slika pretjeranim represivnim metodama, koje su bile uobičajena praksa prije i za njegova vremena. Svojim djelovanjem, Ivan Bosco se smjestio na popis osoba koje su se svojim životom i djelovanjem zalagali za sprječavanje nasilja nad djecom. U središtu don Boscova obrazovnog sustava su katoličke vrijednosti bez kojih bi on bio nezamisliv. On počiva na ljubaznosti, razumu i vjeri, a kršćanski je humanizam filozofski centar na kojem se zasniva pedagoško djelovanje. Za don Bosca, neraskidivost odgoja i vjere blisko veže njegov odgojni sustav s istinama kršćanstva, te je vjera utkana u samu srž temeljnih načela kojih se drži. This review paper presents the life and work of the Catholic saint, theologian and pedagogue Giovanni Melchiorre Bosco (John Bosco). The first part of the paper presents his life and shows the events in his life that could have shaped his work, pedagogical and philosophical - educational activities. The aim of this paper is to present Don Bosco's contribution to the history of non-violent education. Don Bosco’s educational approach brought major changes in the education system and is a contrasting picture to the excessively repressive methods that were common practices before and during his time. Through his work, he placed himself on the list of people who, through their lives and work, advocated for the prevention of violence against children. At the heart of don Bosco's education system are Catholic values without which the system itself would be unthinkable. It rests on kindness, reason and faith. Christian humanism is the philosophical center on which pedagogical action is based. For Don Bosco, the indissolubility of education and faith closely links his educational system with the truths of Christianity, and faith is woven into the very core of the fundamental principles it adheres to.

El presente trabajo busca proponer una actualización, desde una perspectiva latinoamericana, de la devoción salesiana a María Auxiliadora. Para ello, se realiza una re-lectura teológica de su historia, reconociendo los condicionamientos presentes en su formulación. Luego, en orden a poder encontrar elementos de juicio y propuesta, se construye una mariología latinoamericana en la que se explicita los componentes sociales-liberadores. Finalmente, a partir de los dos momentos previos, se realiza un análisis teológico del título Auxiliadora y se realiza una propuesta de actualización en campos específicos, a saber: el empoderamiento de la mujer, el cultivo de la espiritualidad familia y el cuidado de la casa común. This work seeks to propose an update of the Salesian devotion to Mary Help of Christians, from a Latin American perspective. For this, a theological re-reading of its history is carried out, recognizing its conditioning in its original formulation. Then, in order to find elements of judgment and proposal, a Latin American mariology is constructed in which the social-liberating components are made explicit. Finally, from the two previous moments, a theological analysis of the title "Help of Christians" is carried out and a proposal of updating is made in specific fields: the empowerment of women, the cultivation of family spirituality and the care of the common home. Investigación socio-histórica que busca comprender y explicar el papel de los salesianos en el Oriente ecuatoriano entre 1893 y 1970, con particular énfasis en la fundación y desarrollo del Internado de Sevilla Don Bosco establecido en 1943, y sus repercusiones en la cultura shuar contemporánea. El interés se ha centrado en conocer y reflexionar sobre las repercusiones que este modelo educativo tuvo sobre las comunidades a las que pretendió atender y sobre las cuales ejerció una notable influencia, tanto en sus patrones culturales como identitarios de origen. Los shuar a lo largo de su relación con los misioneros supieron plantear sus demandas de manera implícita o explícita. A los misioneros les tocó negociar estas exigencias que se volvieron más fuertes cuando se creó la Federación de Centros Shuar (1964) y los shuar decidieron tomar un camino de desarrollo independiente. Esto se evidenció también con el surgimiento de los primeros dirigentes shuar y su liderazgo. Imitando la capacidad innata que tenían los misioneros para articular amplios sectores sociales y económicos en pos de sus objetivos, aprendieron a moverse en distintos escenarios para buscar beneficios para su organización y su gente.

En 2001, dans le système scolaire québécois, allait voir le jour un nouveau service complémentaire, le Service d’animation à la vie spirituelle et à l’engagement communautaire, pour remplacer l’ancien Service d’animation pastorale. L’objectif que le ministère de l’Éducation donne à ce service est de favoriser le développement de la vie spirituelle et de l’engagement communautaire à travers des expériences humaines et à l’aide d’une approche centrée sur l’action. Mais comment la vie spirituelle est-elle mise en action dans ce contexte alors que les animateurs eux-mêmes ont souvent l’impression d’escamoter cette dimension? C’est en s’appuyant sur la méthode ethnographique que nous avons voulu cartographier la mise en action de la vie spirituelle dans trois écoles secondaires de la banlieue montréalaise et réaliser une démarche de recherche qualitative et inductive. De la collecte de données à la mise en récit, nous avons trouvé des pistes de réponse au cœur de la construction de sens que sont l’ethnographie et son herméneutique. Cette recherche démontre que la dimension relationnelle est essentielle à la mise en action de la vie spirituelle, que ce soit à travers i) l’apprentissage des qualités sociales d’une personne, ii) l’importance de la valorisation qui implique des relations interpersonnelles, iii) une relecture par le biais d’un dialogue interpersonnel qui permet de faire des prises de conscience ou iv) l’entretien d’une relation importante avec le monde., In 2001, in the Quebec school system, a new educational service called the Spiritual Care and Guidance and Community Involvement Service was created to replace the previous Pastoral Animation Service. The Ministry of Education aims to foster the development of spiritual life and community involvement through human experiences and through an action-oriented approach. But how is the spiritual life put into action in this context, when facilitators themselves often feel as if they are avoiding this dimension? It was on the basis of the ethnographic method that we wanted to map out how the spiritual life in three secondary schools in the suburbs of Montreal is put to action and to carry out a qualitative and inductive research process. From the collection of data to the sharing of narratives, we found answers concerning the construction of meaning that are ethnography and its hermeneutics. This research argues that the relational dimension is essential to put into action the spiritual life, whether through (i) learning about the social qualities of a person, (ii) the importance of putting value on people, which is involving interpersonal relationships, (iii) a re-reading for raising awareness through interpersonal dialogue, or (iv) the maintenance of an important relationship with the world.

U ovom radu izložit ćemo temeljne smjernice odgojnog pristupa poznatog kršćanskog odgajatelja sv. Ivana don Bosca i ukazati na njegovu suvremenost kako u pružanju primjera za vođenje uzorna života tako i u pristupu odgajanicima. U današnjoj pedagogiji, ali i filozofiji odgoja nameću se poteškoće s obzirom na mogućnost odgojnog djelovanja na djecu i mlade. Više je razloga zbog kojih se one pojavljuju. Neki od važnijih vezani su svakako uz nedostatak odgojnih autoriteta i primjerenih metoda odgajanja. Bosco se tu pokazuje izuzetno inovativnim i uspješnim. Svojim primjerom pokazao je kako treba izgledati pravi odgajatelj i na koji način on treba odgojno djelovati. Poučavanje primjerom bilo je i ostalo jedna od najuspješnijih metoda odgajanja. Bosco je to svjedočio osobnim primjerom (činio je ono što je govorio). Jedna od njegovih najučinkovitijih odgojnih metoda jest ljubav. Ljubav odgaja i ona je najmoćnije sredstvo koje je na raspolaganju odgajateljima i općenito prosvjetnim djelatnicima, a može uvelike doprinijeti promjeni i usavršavanju djece i mladeži. Ljubav označava nastojanje da se drugome učini dobro, da se pomogne u tuđem odrastanju, da se neprestano pruža ruka podrške i brige o cjelini postojanja onih koje odgajamo. U tom kontekstu smatramo da su Boscove metode učinkovite i danas, samo ih treba primjenjivati., The article presents the basic guidelines of the pedagogy of saint don John Bosco, and its actuality: it is a model for an exemplary life and for an approach to young people. The contemporary pedagogy and philosophy of education have certain difficulties in respect to the education. Some of those problems are linked to the lack of educational authorities and appropriate methods of education. Don Bosco was exceptionally innovative and successful in his times. By his personal example he illustrated the profile of a genuine educator and his methods. Teaching by example was and remained one of the most successful methods of education, which don Bosco proved by practicing everything that he was teaching. One of his most efficient educational methods was love. Love educates, it is the most powerful means at hand of educators and teachers, and can notably contribute to the change and perfection of the educated. Love is the effort to do good to the other, to help him grow, giving a helping and caring hand to the totality of the existence of those that we educate. Therefore, we consider don Bosco’s methods efficient even today: they just need to be applied.

SOCIEDAD ECUATORIANA ,PROCESOS EDUCATIVOS ,RESPONSABILIDAD SOCIAL ,INSTITUCIÓN ,DON BOSCO - Abstract
Frente a la complejidad de la formación actual, devenida por los nuevos contextos y la creciente necesidad de generar procesos educativos vinculados al cambio social humanizado, urge una nueva manera de comprender la formación en valores, de mirar la misión de Don Bosco heredada a los Salesianos, de redefinir y dialogar el sentido del concepto “Buen Cristiano y Honrado Ciudadano” para la sociedad de hoy y del mañana, de manera que sea pertinente con los procesos educativos expresados tanto, en las definiciones curriculares como en la verdadera praxis dentro del aula y la institución. El presente artículo desarrolla las relaciones existentes entre el concepto “Buen Cristiano y Honrado Ciudadano” desde la discusión del humanismo, las relaciones plurales del contexto actual y las nuevas visiones del ciudadano Socialmente Responsable.

El Sistema Preventivo se acrecienta en su sentido comprensivo desde el enfoque histórico-cultural, puesto que el discurso de “lo preventivo” no se conforma con guiar, proteger, vigilar o acompañar, sino que eleva al ser humano a una condición exclusiva no solamente para insertarlos en medios productivos, sino para ser reconocidos como se- res humanos en igualdad. Incluso en las obras de Don Bosco a nadie importaba cómo ingresaban, lo importante era cómo salían, siendo lo valioso para la sociedad el reconocimiento del estilo educativo de Don Bosco llamado “el espíritu salesiano”.

Hace 156 años en el mundo se constituye la primera comunidad salesiana integrada por sacerdotes y coadjutores que inician su labor evangélica y formativa consagrando su vida a la santificación y educación de los jóvenes más necesitados, brindando un ambiente que favorezca su crecimiento y desarrollo personal y familiar. El Papa Juan Pablo II en la carta Iuvenun Patris al celebrarse el centenario de la muerte de San Juan Bosco, destaca que la santidad de Don Bosco se forja y realiza en la educación, el intercambio entre educación y san- tidad le otorga el reconocimiento de educador santo, quien asumió como modelo a San Francisco de Sales, fue discípulo de un maestro santo José Cafasso y formó un alumno santo Domingo Savio (Juan Pablo II, 1998).

Humanidades y educación de visión. La seriedad que tiene la "ciencia" hay que conservarla y defenderla con la aplicación de un riguroso proceso de investigación, en el que no dominen ni la perspectiva subjetivista, ni la objetivista, sino la realidad producto de la relación de los elementos teóricos y observacionales. Una investigación científica no idolatra ningún componente epistémico; se sirve tanto de elementos históricos como de los culturales y conceptuales, evitando tanto los relativismos e instrumentalismos. La modernidad fraguó un modelo de ciencia física-biológica sin tiempo ni espacio y en ocasiones modelado únicamente de la observación, que terminó en la denominación de ciencias naturales. Las ciencias humanas y de la educación fueron las más perjudicadas, puesto que no superaron los parámetros del modelo de ciencias impuesto por la física y biología, aun sabiéndose que tenían mayoría de edad.

Coincidint amb el bicentenari del seu naixement, revisem algunes de les intuïcions pedagògiques de Juan Bosco, amb la intenció d’evidenciar-ne la validesa en un escenari social i econòmic distant, però amb certes similituds al que vivia l’Europa del segle XIX, especialment respecte a la situació de la joventut més vulnerable. Aquesta revisió ens permet fer propostes transferibles a la intervenció d’educadors i educadores socials en general i, de manera particular, en l’àmbit de la infància, adolescència i joventut. La importància dels vincles en la relació d’ajuda, la força creativa de l’ambient, la centralitat del/de la jove i de les seves potencialitats, així com algunes de les actituds o recursos educatius que l’experiència i el pensament pedagògic de Juan Bosco ens ofereixen, serveixen per identificar propostes i criteris que poden ser vàlids per a la praxi socioeducativa actual., Coincidiendo con el bicentenario de su nacimiento, revisamos algunas de las intuiciones pedagógicas de Juan Bosco, con la intención de evidenciar su validez en un escenario social y económico distante, pero con ciertas similitudes al que vivía la Europa del siglo XIX, especialmente respecto a la situación de la juventud más vulnerable. Esta revisión nos permite hacer propuestas transferibles a la intervención de educadores y educadoras sociales en general y, de manera particular, en el ámbito de infancia, adolescencia y juventud.La importancia de los vínculos en la relación de ayuda, la fuerza educativa del ambiente, la centralidad del/la joven y de sus potencialidades, así como algunas de las actitudes o recursos educativos que la experiencia y el pensamiento pedagógico de Juan Bosco nos ofrecen, sirven para identificar propuestas y criterios que pueden ser válidos para la praxis socioeducativa actual., Coinciding with the bicentenary of his birth, we review some of the pedagogical intuitions of Don Bosco, with the intention of demonstrating their validity in a very different social and economic context that has certain similarities to that ofEurope in the nineteenth century, especially as regards the situation of the most vulnerable young people. This review allows us to make proposals that can be transferred to the intervention of educators and social educators in generaland, in particular, in the field of childhood, adolescenceand youth. The importance of the links in the aid relationship, the creative power of the environment and the centrality of the young person and her or his potential, as well as some ofthe educational resources or attitudes that the experience and the pedagogical thinking of Don Bosco offer us, all serve to identify proposals and criteria that may be valid for present-day socioeducational praxis.

Tématem bakalářské práce je vliv Salesiánského střediska v Brně Žabovřeskách na volný čas mládeže. V teoretické části práce se pojednává o životě Dona Bosca, o jeho preventivním výchovném systému, o kongregaci salesiánů Dona Bosca. V praktické části byl veden rozhovor s osmi respondenty, kteří dochází do Salesiánského střediska v Brně Žabovřeskách. Výzkumná otázka praktické části byla formulována takto: "Jak salesiáni ovlivňují nabídkou a přístupem volný čas mládeže?" V práci jsem formulovala jednu vedlejší výzkumnou otázku: "Jak děti vnímají křesťanskou výchovu ve středisku?" Cílem práce je zhodnotit nabízené aktivity střediska očima dětí. Salesiánské středisko mládeže je církevní zařízení a jako takové má svá specifika. Smyslem práce je zjistit, čím je zařízení pro děti přitažlivé., The theme of the thesis is the influence of the Salesian center in Brno - Žabovřeskách on youth leisure. In the theoretical part of the thesis deals with the life of Don Bosco, his preventive educational system, the Congregation of the Salesians of Don Bosco. In the practical part of the interview was conducted with eight respondents who visits the Salesian center in Brno - Žabovřeskách. Research question the practical part was formulated as follows: "As Salesians affect the supply of and access to youth leisure? "At work, I formulated a secondary research question as follows: "How children perceive Christian education at the center?" The aim is to evaluate the activities offered by the Centre through the eyes of children. Salesian Youth Centre is a church facility and as such has its own specifics. Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá salesiánským stylem výchovy a efekty jeho působení na děti a mládež. Zaměřuje se zejména na principy a zásady salesiánského přístupu, historii salesiánské pedagogiky a celkový vhled do tohoto ojedinělého výchovného systému, kterým je působeno na mládež. Seznamuje s životem Dona Boska a vznikem salesiánského hnutí, zájem je směřován i na preventivní výchovný systém. Výzkumná část práce je založena na kvalitativním výzkumu, který byl proveden na Dvouleté katolické střední škole prostřednictvím zúčastněného pozorování doplněného o rozhovory., The estimated thesis is based around salesian style of education and its effect on children and young. It is focused on principles and values of salesian attitude, history of salesian pedagogy and insight to this specific pedagogical method. The thesis apprises with the life of Don Bosco and the origin of Salesians. The interest is focused especially on preventive educational system. Research is based on qualitative method and it is performed at Catholic High School through the observation and interviews., Katedra věd o výchově, Studentka zdárně obhájila svou bakalářskou práci, pružně reagovala na otázky zkuaební komise a její výkon je celkově hodnocen známkou výborně.

Este trabajo trata sobre la dimensión política de la educación en los distintos momentos, partiendo de la trascendencia de la propuesta de Don Bosco, (que es el tema que nos convoca) y analizar, desde este, otros momentos de encuentro con diversos modelos pedagógicos políticos en América Latina y el Ecuador, porque el Sistema Preventivo no es una propuesta estática, detenida en el tiempo, al contrario siempre puede ser recreada y de hecho lo es, de tal manera, que podemos leer la realidad de hoy, a la luz del (Sistema Preventivo). No se pretende abarcar toda la historia pero si hechos significativos y modelos importantes, precisamente el de Don Bosco para seguir con una breve referencia a las experiencias de Paulo Freire y Monseñor Leonidas Proaño, para terminar con una reflexión sobre el proyecto educativo que hoy se debate en el Ecuador. Cada época histórica con un contexto particular, con un proyecto político específico y con unos sujetos que lo llevan adelante.
