Accurately assigning the document type of review articles in citation index databases like Web of Science(WoS) and Scopus is important. This study aims to investigate the document type assignation of review articles in Web of Science, Scopus and Publisher’s websites on a large scale.

• Conference-journal articles receive more citations than conference proceedings papers but fewer than general journal articles. • Conference-journal articles in special issues receive fewer citations than those in regular issues. • The citation count of conference-journal articles exhibits a U-shaped relationship with the time span from the conference presentation to the final publication. • Journal articles originated from conferences held in OECD countries or with sponsorship tend to have more citations. Conference-journal articles, which are expanded versions of conference proceedings papers, play an essential role in disseminating scientific knowledge but remain understudied. In the context of increasingly stringent research evaluation systems, this study focuses on conference-journal articles, examining the effectiveness of journals in selecting conference-derived publications. We also explore the factors influencing the citations of conference-journal articles. Here, we focused on Physics, analyzing 59,329 conference-journal articles published between 2012 and 2020, matched with general journal articles and conference proceedings papers based on the conference and journal. Results show that conference-journal articles receive significantly more citations than conference proceedings papers but fewer than general journal articles. Conference-journal articles in special issues receive fewer citations than those in regular issues. A U-shaped pattern emerges between the duration from the conference convening to the journal publication and the citation. We also found that conferences with sponsorship and those held in OECD member countries are more likely to produce highly cited conference-journal articles. Additionally, results indicate that conferences held in the USA, Japan, France, China, and Poland produce the most conference-journal articles, with articles from conferences in the USA, Japan, and France receiving relatively high citation counts. In contrast, articles from conferences held in China and Poland receive relatively low citation counts. Although it is bibliometric standard to employ field normalization, the detailed procedure of field normalization is not standardized regarding the handling of the document types. All publications without filtering the document type can be used or only selected document types. Furthermore, the field-normalization procedure can be carried out with regard to the document type of publications or without. We studied if the field-normalized scores strongly depend on the choice of different document type handlings. In doing so, we used the publications from the Web of Science between 2000 and 2017 and compared different field-normalized scores. We compared the results on the individual publication level, the country level, and the institutional level. We found rather high correlations between the different scores but the concordance values provide a more differentiated conclusion: Rather different scores are produced on the individual publication level. As our results on the aggregated levels are not supported by our results on the level of individual publications, any comparison of normalized scores that result from different procedures should only be performed with caution. The present study aims to bring out the contributions, funding and un-funding publications in the field of Mechatronics in global scenario. The study focuses on country-wise distribution, funding and un-funding in the field of Mechatronics paper publications, type of documents, top funding agencies and top funding journals. Compared to other subjects of science and technology the field of Mechatronics has seen considerably less number of papers being published. Statistics shows that approximately 1% of publications are done in the world as compared to 30 to 35 percent in other fields. The total number of published papers in the said field is3,359 with 46,043 citations. USA shares the highest portion with a total of 413 (12.27%) published papers and 7,157 (15.55%) citations, India stands twenty-fifth with total paper publications of 53 (1.58%) and 693 (1.51%) citations during a period of 20 years from 2001 to 2020. Out of 3,359 papers with 46,034 citations, 1,446 (43.05%) papers with 17,972 (39.04%) citations received funding and the remaining 1,913 (56.95%) papers with 28,062 (60.96%) citations received un-funding. Document type (DT) assignment is an important feature from literature databases. This work evaluated how the literature databases and the publisher websites labeled "Top 100" (T100) papers, a recurring act for which researchers identify and analyze the 100 most cited entities (e.g. articles) within a pre-defined literature set. T100 papers concurrently indexed in the Web of Science (WoS), Scopus and PubMed databses were identified. Among the 248 T100 papers analyzed, no general consensus or consistent pattern was found for labeling T100 papers by the three data sources and the publishers' websites. All four sources labeled between 30-40% of the T100 papers as reviews. However, PubMed mostly did not give DT labels to the rest of the papers whereas WOS, Scopus, and publisher websites labeled them as articles. The inter-rater agreement was only fair; the decision seemed to be influenced by whether the authors mentioned the word "review" suggestive of the publication/document type in the title, abstract or keywords. The paper examines the bibliographic data of 1436 documents published by the University of North Bengal and retrieves the data for a span of ten years, which was indexed in the Scopus database from 2011 to 2020 on various parameters. The average number of documents published per year was 143.6. The highest number of publications 166 was published in 2020, while the lowest number of publications was 108 in 2011. The relative growth rates (RGR) have decreased in 2019 (-0.34) and highest in 2012 (0.756) for last 10 years. The doubling time (Dt) increased during 2012 to a maximum of 231. Throughout the study, 9907 citations were recorded and a maximum of 2280 citations was noted in 2020. The majority of the documents came from articles, with 1333 coming from journals, and the source of the most funds was from UGC (12.67). Most of the co-authors came from the United States (8.22 per cent), and P Ghosh was the most prolific author, with 118 contributions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In Digital Humanities the task of “text modelling” has been recognised and successfully treated in the last decades. But indeed every use of digital text processing software, even the most naive one, is already a kind of text modelling activity. In many realms of daily practice this is executed unknowingly and without theoretic reflection, using digital text processing systems merely as “comfortable typewriters”. Then the structure of the out-coming models is determined only by the applied software. To really exploit the benefits of automated text processing in any realm, their use must change to a theory and practice of text modelling.This requires to explore and make explicit the mathematical structure of the possible text models, and the restrictions imposed on them a priori by the involved technical tools. Those can become crucial especially. when translating a text between two formats – a quite frequent task with surprising pitfalls.This article gives a systematic and exhaustive survey of the technically determined structural properties of text models. It lists the abstract requirements on modelling tools for ensuring satisfactory flexibility, and compares ten different commonly used text modelling frameworks. RésuméLes systèmes de traitement de texte numériques s’utilisent, dans la majorité des cas, simplement comme des « machines à écrire confortables », surtout dans les Humanités. Pour profiter véritablement des avantages du traitement de texte automatisé, surtout au niveau conceptuel, l’usage de ces systèmes de traitement doit changer vers une théorie et pratique de modélisation de texte. Pour cela, il faut explorer et rendre explicite la structure mathématique de modèles de texte possibles, ainsi que les restrictions imposées a priori sur ces systèmes par les outils techniques impliqués. Celles-là peuvent devenir essentielles, particulièrement lorsque l’on convertit un texte entre deux formats – ce qui est une tâche très fréquente avec des écueils surprenants. Cet article offre une étude systématique et exhaustive des caractéristiques structurelles de modèles de texte. Il énumère les exigences abstraites d’outils de modélisation nécessaires pour garantir une flexibilité satisfaisante et il compare dix différents cadres de modélisation de texte fréquemment utilisés. Citation distributions vary across the board among academic disciplines, which is the reason why field-oriented normalisation is necessary to compensate for this. In this vein, the aim of this study is three-fold. Firstly, to find out which document type is cited the most in translation studies (TS). Secondly, to determine the time distribution for citations and aging patterns in TS scientific literature. Thirdly, to define a discipline-weighted citation window or cited half-life, in order to establish the optimal citation window to be used in TS. Data enabling the present research will be retrieved from BITRA, which includes over 70,000 items covering the diversity of document types and languages used in TS research for all times and the citing information of over 10% of its entries. This database will thus allow us to carry out a study on citation and aging patterns in TS academic literature covering the 1960-2015 period. Both, global results, as well as a more detailed analysis focusing on different document types, will be provided. This bibliometric study aims to offer a discipline-focused approach in order to develop specific and realistic impact criteria for our discipline, while taking into account its actual research and communication practices.

This paper covers 18873 publications on Greenhouse effect in global level from the period of 2004-2018. The Scopus international multidisciplinary bibliographical database has been used to identify the Global contributions in the field of Greenhouse effect. The most number of papers were published in the journals as Article, i.e. 11982 (63.49%). Globally, USA is the highest publications country with the contribution of 4172 papers. Biographical articles in scientific journals offer a platform for the commemoration of distinguished individuals from the world of science. Despite so important a role for the scientific community, research on biographical articles is scarce. To fill this gap, we have analyzed 190,350 biographical articles indexed in Web of Science, written by 251,908 authors in 1945-2014. We have analyzed the development of this article type over the studied period and research areas, how women and men are represented in the subject of articles, and who the authors are. Over the time the number of biographical articles has been increasing, with the highest number in Life Sciences and Biomedicine. Around 20% of the articles were written about women, with the highest share of 24% in Arts and Humanities. The study has examined the research output of the keyword analysis of 'Dengue disease' during the period 2005 - 2014. Bibliometric indicators were existing journal articles, cited reference, authorship pattern, document wise distribution, journal self - citation and author self-citation, keyword analysis in the dengue disease. The keyword analysis of Dengue Disease for ten-years, during the year 2005 to 2014 taken for the study 3517 words were retrieved in the current study. The highest publication is 691 in 2014 rank is first, the second rank is 2012 in 518 records, third rank is 2011 in 414 records and lowest record is 131 in 2005. The out of 3517 articles single author contributed only 216 (6.14%) articles while the rest 3301 (93.86%) articles were contributed by Multi authors. The majority of authorship patterns are multi-author collaborations which is the highest contribution during the ten years. The degree of collaboration ranges from 0.90 to 0.97 and the average degree of collaboration is 0.94. Researchers identified the total number of Countries i.e. 130 during the period between 2005-2014. But, we observed the majority of the Country "USA" in 1219 records with TLCS-6211 and TGCS in 27146. Researchers identified the total number of keywords i.e. 5493 during the period between 2005-2014. But selected top 20 keywords for the research purpose. We observed the majority of the keywords "Dengue" in 2038 records with TLCS 10794 and TGCS in 33761.
