Inertial manifold theory, saddle point property and exponential dichotomy have been treated as different topics in the literature with different proofs. As a common feature, they all have the purpose of 'splitting' the space to understand the dynamics. We present a unified proof for the inertial manifold theorem, which as a local consequence yields the saddle-point property with a fine structure of invariant manifolds and the roughness of exponential dichotomy. In particular, we use these tools in order to establish the hyperbolicity of certain global solutions for non-autonomous parabolic partial differential equations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

When the sensor dynamically collects point cloud data for object or map reconstruction, the registration effect is poor and reconstruction application is difficult with a too low overlap rate of the collected point cloud data. The reason is that the objects are covered, the sensor rotation angle is too large and the speed of movement is too fast. Because of these problems, this paper proposes a point cloud registration algorithm based on FPFH feature matching, combined with second-order spatial measures. Firstly, using the FPFH feature extraction algorithm, the features of each point are extracted, and then feature matching is performed to generate the set of feature point pairs. Secondly, the second-order spatial measure is used to calculate the set of feature point pairs to obtain the second-order spatial measure matrix scores and sort them. Finally, the dichotomy method is used to find the appropriate second-order spatial measure scores for distinguishing the inner points (points in the overlap region) from the outer points (points that do not belong to the overlap region as well as the mismatched points and some disturbances). The contrast experiments between this algorithm and three common point cloud registration algorithms, FPFH-ICP, 4PCS-ICP, and NDT-ICP, on the Stanford dataset and 3DMatch dataset shows that the registration accuracy of the other algorithms decreases significantly with a low overlap rate. But this algorithm still has a high registration accuracy and is less affected by outliers than the other algorithms. It is argued that the theory of opposition is in position to contribute as a formal method of conceptual engineering, by means of an increasing dichotomy-making process that augments the number of elements into any structured lexical field. After recalling the roots of this theory and its logical tenets, it is shown how the processes of expansion and contraction of discourse can modify a lexical field and, with it, our collective representation of ideas. This theory can also bring some order to the question of disagreement in philosophical discourse: what do philosophers disagree about; how can we clarify the distinction between verbal disagreement (focused on words) and substantive disagreement (focused on things)? The ensuing construction of conceptual systems will be exemplified through three case studies of philosophy: desire, truth judgment, and the left–right political divide. The construction rules of such systems resort to the theory of opposition, which intends to improve our understanding of what entails either agreement or disagreement about the meaning of concepts. Such a better understanding of philosophical discourse relies on its formalization in terms of closed lexical fields, thereby leading to a comparative analysis of concepts in light of logical relations between their definitions. Objective Calculation of tram operation control scheme taking into account energy consumption requires a great deal of calculation of the energy-saving speed profile. In order to establish an accurate and efficient optimal model for the energy-saving speed curve of tram sections, it is necessary to study the optimal algorithm of the energy-saving speed curve based on time-step search and under time-fixed constraints while considering the tram characteristics of low speed, short section and fewer long steep slopes. Method On the basis of implementing basic ergodic search, the search range of the feasible solution is narrowed down by boundary analysis. Under the condition that the tram acceleration duration is given, an optimized energy-saving algorithm based on fixed acceleration duration is proposed to avoid unnecessary braking in steep downhill section, and a dichotomy method is used to expedite the search.When the tram acceleration duration is not fixed, under the premise of no additional braking during the tram cruise and coasting, an improved search method based on being sensitive to energy consumption change is proposed, which is helpful to determine the optimal acceleration time quickly. Result & Conclusion Compared with the existing numerical analysis method, the proposed algorithm based on time-step search replaces the complex integration process,simplifying the computational process.The test data shows that the algorithm takes less than 1ms to finish a single operation in a typical tram operation section,and greatly improves the calculation speed compared with the conventional genetic algorithm. The algorithm can adjust the calculation precision and speed index by changing the time step size, and can serve as the basic algorithm of energy-saving calculation for tram lines.

Abstract The parameter extraction process for PV models poses a complex nonlinear and multi-model optimization challenge. Accurately estimating these parameters is crucial for optimizing the efficiency of PV systems. To address this, the paper introduces the Adaptive Rao Dichotomy Method (ARDM) which leverages the adaptive characteristics of the Rao algorithm and the Dichotomy Technique. ARDM is compared with the several recent optimization techniques, including the tuna swarm optimizer, African vulture’s optimizer, and teaching–learning-based optimizer. Statistical analyses and experimental results demonstrate the ARDM's superior performance in the parameter extraction for the various PV models, such as RTC France and PWP 201 polycrystalline, utilizing manufacturer-provided datasheets. Comparisons with competing techniques further underscore ARDM dominance. Simulation results highlight ARDM quick processing time, steady convergence, and consistently high accuracy in delivering optimal solutions.

Abstract At present, Renewable Energy Sources (RES) utilization keeps on increasing because of their merits are more availability in the atmosphere, easy energy harvesting, less maintenance expenses, plus more reliability. Here, the solar power generation systems are utilized for supplying the energy to the local consumers. The accurate, and efficient solar power supply to the customers is a very important factor to meet the peak load demand. The accurate power generation of the sunlight system completely depends on its accurate parameters extraction. In this work, a Modified Rao-based Dichotomy Technique (MRAODT) is introduced to identify the actual parameters of the different PV cells which are PWP 201 polycrystalline, plus RTC France. The proposed MRAODT method is compared with the other existing algorithms which are the teaching and learning algorithm, African vultures, plus tuna intelligence algorithm. Finally, from the simulation results, the MRAODT gives superior performance when associated with the other controllers in terms of parameters extraction time, accuracy in the PV cells parameters identification, plus convergence time of the algorithm.

An integrated zero-carbon power plant aggregates uncontrollable green energy, adjustable load, and storage energy resources into an entity in a grid-friendly manner. Integrated zero-carbon power plants have a strong demand response potential that needs further study. However, existing studies ignore the green value of renewable energy in power plants when participating in demand response programs. This paper proposed a mathematical model to optimize the operation of an integrated zero-carbon power plant considering the green value. A demand response mechanism is proposed for the independent system operator and the integrated zero-carbon power plants. The Stackelberg gaming process among these entities and an algorithm based on dichotomy are studied to find the demand response equilibrium. Case studies verify that the mechanism activates the potential of the integrated zero-carbon power plant to realize the load reduction target. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The metaverse and real life are not in opposition. From the long-term perspective of technology development, nearly all forms of life are shaped by technology. The metaverse, temporarily in juxtaposition with life, is a new form created by hyper-speed technology and will become part of life with the development of technology. The metaverse and real life, the opposition of which results from the dualistic thinking mode, could be viewed holistically. In recent years, uncertainty has become a central topic in translation studies, reflecting the increasing significance of this issue in various fields, such as politics, economics, and medicine. However, there is a problem with the application of theories of uncertainty in translation studies as often only a single theory is used to provoke an argument without considering how the plurality of theories could provide a more nuanced understanding. This paper argues for the value of synthesizing these seemingly disparate theories of uncertainty into a rich account that can be used as a model for scholarly analyses and research in translation methods and systems. Through an examination of continuum-based models, which are models suggesting that translation is not a strict binary process but rather a continuum of possibilities, this study illustrates how this approach can offer insights that would not be accessible through a single theory. By providing specific examples mainly from the fields of literary and audiovisual translations, this paper demonstrates how a pluralistic approach to the uncertainty paradigm can further strengthen arguments against continuum-based models, and how it can lead to a better understanding of the translation process. Notwithstanding the considerable attention that Chinese Bible translations have attracted, some important theological issues have been ignored for a long time, one of which is anthropology. The present article focuses on the Chinese rendering of terms in this category. From the attempts in the first three Catholic versions, the Western theory of soul introduced by Matteo Ricci began to influence the connotation of ling 靈 in Chinese biblical texts, though anima and spiritus had not been distinguished or the translations were still obscure in these renditions. Robert Morrison's version, though heavily dependent on Jean Basset's translation, was also indebted to Emmanuel Diaz and Louis A. de Poirot in its dichotomous anthropology, developing a ling–rou 靈–肉 (lit. spirit–flesh) dichotomous discourse with his conceptualization of ling 靈. Initiated by the "second generation" of Protestant Bible translators, the renderings of pneuma/ruach and sarx/basar took the indigenized approach that culminated in the Delegates' Version of the Bible. With the assistance of some Chinese scholars in completing this version, Medhurst launched a dialogue between Christian anthropology and Chinese traditional outlooks of human beings by emphasizing the concepts of shen 身 and xin 心, which had long-lasting popularity in later versions of the Chinese Bible. Equivalent constraint method (ECM) is an efficient method for safety life analysis under target time-dependent failure possibility (TDFP) constraint. However, the efficiency of existing ECM still needs to be improved for problems with complex performance functions. In this paper, an efficient method based on equivalent constraint and sequential Kriging model with fuzzy simulation (EC-SK-FS) is proposed to improve the efficiency of solving safety life. In EC-SK-FS, the TDFP constraint is first equivalently transformed into performance function constraint with respect to target TDFP, which can avoid performance function evaluations under unnecessary membership level. Second, based on the EC of the lower bound of extremum performance function being equal to zero, the traditional dichotomy method is embedded to search for the safety life. For each possible life searched by dichotomy, the Kriging model of time-dependent performance function is sequentially trained in the corresponding candidate sample pool (CSP) for estimating the lower bound of extremum performance function, in which a new stopping criterion is established to improve the efficiency of training Kriging model. The new stopping criterion only requires at least one failure sample point accurately identified by the current Kriging model, which reduces the computational cost while ensuring the accuracy of estimating the lower bound of extremum performance function. In addition, the strategy of reducing CSP is adopted to further improve the efficiency of the proposed method. Compared with the existing ECM, the results of examples fully prove that the proposed EC-SK-FS method is more efficient under acceptable accuracy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The 20th century division between physical and human geography dispelled the integrity and unity of geography, while the division of specialties and the deep development of research topics further eroded the discipline. In anticipation of the synthesis of complexity and earth system science, and new sciences in the 21st century, and against the background of globalization and sustainable development, nature and humanities should be reintegrated in university classrooms. The influence of dualism can disappear invisibly through the standardization of academic language, construction of discipline theories, and transformation of research paradigms. Furthermore, an integrated and systematic concept can execute the arduous and complex task of safeguarding the future of humanity and sustainable development of the earth.

Hıristiyanlık, renk sembolizmini çeşitlendirmede ve kullanmada müstesna bir yere sahiptir. Hıristiyanlıktaki Tanrı anlayışı, kurtuluş öğretisi, eskatoloji, litürjik takvimdeki önemli günler, sakramentlerin uygulanmasındaki özel durumlar, Kilise’nin maneviyatını ortaya çıkaran unsurlar ile İsa Mesih, Bakire Meryem, Havariler ve Aziz/Azizeler renk sembolizmi içerisinde kendilerine yer bulabilmektedirler. Bu renkler arasında siyah ve beyaz ise esasında dünya üzerindeki pek çok dinî inanç ve kültürde neredeyse aynı anlama gelecek şekilde temsiliyet kazanmaktadır. Siyah, insanlarda genellikle kötülük, karanlık, saldırganlık, gizem ve korku gibi duyguları uyandırdığı için olumsuz bir anlam kazanmış, beyaz ise saflığın, masumiyetin, iffet ve erdemin rengi olmuştur. Hıristiyan sembolizmi içerisinde siyah asli günah, insanın düşüşü, ölüm ve Cehennem’i tasvir eden sahnelerde, beyaz ise İsa Mesih’in vaftizi, Bakire Meryem’e müjdelenmesi ve inananların Cennet’te bir araya gelmesini konu edinen eserlerde en çok başvurulan renkler olmuştur. Bu doğrultuda çalışmanın amacı genel anlamda Hıristiyan sembolizmi içerisinde renklerin önemine vurgu yapmak ve özellikle de siyah ve beyazın hem bu renk kartelası içerisinde ön plana çıkan anlamlarını hem de bu durumun toplumsal yansımasını detaylı bir şekilde ele almaktır. Çalışmada bu amaç çerçevesinde her iki rengin Hıristiyan geleneğindeki anlamlarına ve kendi içlerindeki çatışmaya yer verildiği için karşılaştırma metodundan ve Kutsal Kitap’ta bu renkler özelinde zikredilen pasajlar incelendiği için metin analizi ve yorum geliştirme yöntemlerinden yararlanılmıştır. Hıristiyanlıkta renk sembolizmi kapsamında değerlendirilen bütün bu renkler, bu dinin tarihsel gelişimi içerisinde kendilerine yüklenen anlamlarla birlikte çeşitli kutlamalarda, ritüellerde ve dinî bayramlarda kullanılmaya devam etmektedir. Siyah ve beyaz renkleri ise salt anlamda dinin inanç ve ibadet boyutunu aşıp toplumsal bir ayrımın da eşik noktasını oluşturmaktadır. Bu ayrımda beyaz saflığın ve masumiyetin, siyah ise kötülüğün ve isyanın temsilcisidir. Bu durum İsa Mesih ve şeytani güçlerin, yani iyilikle kötülüğün ve dünyevi olanla ruhsal olanın arasındaki çatışmayı sembolize etmektedir.

Indigenous peoples of Bangladesh have been residing in the land of Bangladesh long before the demarcation of this land. They hold a deep belief that there exists a sacred connection between them and their ancestral lands, which usually passes through generations in the form of collective ownership. Due to the constitutional non-recognition of this form of ownership, they do not possess any legal right over these lands, and eventually, they have been facing forcible eviction from their ancestral lands. Though the Constitution has denied the indigenous identity and hasn’t incorporated collective land ownership in Articles 6 and 13, respectively, it still affirms that ensuring the socio-economic rights of the people and upholding the inherent dignity of people from their respective footings is the signature tune of the Constitution. This paper will evaluate how this constitutional non-recognition led to the forcible eviction of the indigenous people from their ancestral land, despite international legal instruments stressing the imperativeness of recognizing collective ownership of indigenous peoples. This paper will also explore how Article 7B of the Constitution has interpolated the last nail in the coffin of the aspiration of future recognition of the collective ownership of indigenous people and how this provision has faded away the fundamental aim and progressive thirst of the Constitution.

David Bosch calls the relationship between evangelism and service "one of the thorniest areas" in Missiology. He analyses and criticises Western dichotomic thinking, which tends to contrast evangelism and service, word and deed, soul and body. This is the source of what Bosch calls "a battle for supremacy" between evangelism and service, and during his own life, he committed himself to "a personal quest" for a non-dichotomic understanding of evangelism and service. The present article presents Bosch's reflection of the relationship between evangelism and service over a period of more than two decades. It analyses his approaches in overcoming the Western dichotomic thinking in this regard and argues that Bosch's "personal quest" remained an unfinished quest, which we are invited to join. The Communist Party began to purposefully transform the public into the Soviet people by way of applying various means, repressions being the most severe among them. The bloody terror of the 1930s both physically destroyed and inflicted a major psychological shock to intellectuals and their close ones. So called 'people's enemies,' 'wreckers' became victims of the repressions, and, owing to the instinct of survival, their family members had to conform with the Soviet system. In her book of stories Pebbles, from the tragic standpoint of an eyewitness, Zaira Arsenishvili tells about people's desperate being within the dichotomy of the good and evil in the most troubled times, about timeservers and noble ones, about so called Stockholm syndrome due to which the majority of people lost the capability to perceive reality and, in their imaginations, the definitions of the good and evil exchanged their places. Christianity has an exceptional place in diversifying and using colour symbolism. The understanding of God in Christianity, the doctrine of salvation, eschatology, important days in the liturgical calendar, special occasions in the practice of sacraments, elements that reveal the spirituality of the Church, and Jesus Christ, the Virgin Mary, the Apostles and Saints can find a place in colour symbolism. Among these colours, black and white represent almost the same meaning in many religious beliefs and cultures worldwide. Black has gained a negative connotation because it generally evokes emotions such as evil, darkness, aggression, mystery and fear in people, while white has become the colour of purity, innocence, chastity and virtue. In Christian symbolism, black has been the most used colour in scenes depicting original sin, the fall of man, death and Hell, and white has been the most used colour in works depicting the baptism of Jesus Christ, the good news of the Virgin Mary and the coming together of believers in Heaven. In this regard, the study aimsto emphasize the importance of colours in Christian symbolism in general and to specifically discuss in detail the meanings of black and white that come to the fore within this colour chart and the social reflection of this situation. Within the framework of this purpose, in the study, the comparative method was used since the meanings of both colours in Christian tradition and the conflict within them were included, and text analysis and interpretation development methods were used since the passages mentioned in the Bible specifically for these colours were examined. All these colours, which are considered within the scope of colour symbolism in Christianity, continue to be used in various celebrations, rituals and religious holidays, along with the meanings attributed to them in the historical development of this religion. Black and white colours go beyond the religions and worship dimension and constitute the threshold of social distinction. In this distinction, white is representatives of purity and innocence, while black is representatives of evil and rebellion. This situation symbolizes the conflict between Jesus Christ and the demonic forces, that is, between good and evil, and between the worldly and the spiritual. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Efficient exploration technology leads to the rapid growth of seismic acquisition data; how to improve the big shot I/O efficiency has a direct impact on field acquisition speed. Considering the construction environment and actual requirements of the field acquisition operation site, this study proposes a two-level index method for a big shot to improve its I/O speed by thoroughly studying the storage structure of the shot file. This method instantly locates the boundary location of any full shot, arrangement, and any trace of massive shot files through the two-level index and eliminates the time to find a shot or trace in order, to realize the rapid reading of shot, arrangement, or trace data. The practical application shows that this method greatly improves the efficiency of searching the starting position of a shot in the file, thereby improving the I/O speed of the big shot and laying the groundwork for comprehensively improving the field quality control efficiency and data processing efficiency of field seismic acquisition. The L(p, q)-Edge-Labelling problem is the edge variant of the well-known L(p, q)-Labelling problem. It is equivalent to the L(p, q)-Labelling problem itself if we restrict the input of the latter problem to line graphs. So far, the complexity of L(p, q)-Edge-Labelling was only partially classified in the literature. We complete this study for all p , q ≥ 0 by showing that whenever (p , q) ≠ (0 , 0) , the L(p, q)-Edge-Labelling problem is NP-complete. Background. The tendency of global aggravation of the confrontation of ideologies as a fundamental characteristic of the current political reality is due to the desire to consolidate the ethno-cultural priorities of the nation to preserve and assert the status of national identity correlated with the category of “linguistic personality”. Purpose. The article is devoted to the study of the implementation of the opposition of the notion “linguistic personality” in the American linguistic culture. Materials and methods. The material for this article was the treatises of the classics of German and French philosophy, the works of Russian representatives of the scientific schools of linguoculturology, cognitive linguistics, devoted to the theoretical issues of the semantics and pragmatics of linguistic communication, conceptual opposition, as well as the book of the American journalist B. Woodward Fear: Trump in the White House. When writing the article, the following methods were used: comparative, discursive, contextual analyses. Results. In the course of the study the functioning of the mechanisms for the implementation of the opposition of linguistic consciousness was analyzed. The descriptive characteristics of the concept “linguistic consciousness” are presented. Various approaches to the description of the key normative characteristics of a linguistic personality are systematized. As a part of the personified model the structural organization of a linguistic personality is described based on the dichotomy “Creation ‒ Destruction”. Practical implications. The results of the study can find practical application in the preparation of teaching aids and textbooks on the linguo-cognituve analysis of concepts based on dichotomous models.

Everyday aesthetics, at its core, is based on the supposed dichotomy between art and life, considering life as something routine-like, and art as the breaking of the routine, something charismatic. Different authors of everyday aesthetics use different words to describe this dichotomy. For example, in his article “What is ‘Everyday’ in Everyday Aesthetics?”, Ossi Naukkarinen simply uses everydayness and non-everyday-like, while Arto Haapala, in his “On the Aesthetics of the Everyday: Familiarity, Strangeness, and the Meaning of Place” uses the terms familiarity and strangeness. The authors also propose different ways of bridging this dichotomy. However, as the paper shows, the real question is not how to bridge the dichotomy itself but rather whether the dichotomy exists in the first place. Moreover, the paper suggests a change of direction in future investigations of everyday aesthetics, and focusing on the nuances that exist on the routine-charisma and charismatic-routine spectrum, supported by academic research and the personal account of the paper’s author art project. Moreover, the implications of this shift extend beyond the boundaries of everyday aesthetics.

The profession of nursing has recognized the need for contextual and relational frameworks to inform knowledge development. Two‐Eyed Seeing is a framework developed by Mi'kmaw Elders to respectfully engage with Indigenous and non‐Indigenous knowledges. Some scholars and practitioners, however, are concerned that Two‐Eyed Seeing re‐instantiates dichotomized notions regarding Western and Indigenous knowledges. As dichotomies and binaries are often viewed as polarizing devices for nursing knowledge development, this paper explores the local worldviews in which Two‐Eyed Seeing emerged, proposing that the onto‐epistemological and axiological 'roots' of the framework are antithetical to divisiveness, paradoxically asserting space for the dichotomy to stand. Two‐Eyed Seeing, if understood as a relational, decolonial praxis, could fundamentally change the way nursing scholarship and practice operate by facilitating space for diverse knowledges, ways of being, doing and relating. In this paper, considerations for nursing scholarship and practice, as well as recommendations to support the uptake of Two‐Eyed Seeing are explored. The authors assert that conceptual divisiveness, dichotomization and exclusion can be mitigated if nursing is informed by contextual knowledge, seeks to enact accountable partnerships with Indigenous knowledge holders, and holds the Mi'kmaq worldview upon which the concept developed in positive regard. Nucleosynthetic isotope variations are powerful tools to investigate genetic relationships between meteorite groups and planets. They are instrumental to assess the early evolution of the solar system, including mixing and reservoir formation in the protoplanetary disk, as well as planet formation. To address these questions, we report high-precision nucleosynthetic Ti isotope compositions of a wide range of bulk meteorites, partially complemented with new Cr isotope data. New Ti isotope data confirm the first order dichotomy observed between carbonaceous chondrites (CC), representing outer solar system compositions, and non-carbonaceous (NC) meteorites from the inner solar system. The data in combination with nucleosynthetic isotope data of other elements (e.g., Cr, Ca) indicate that isotopically heterogeneous reservoirs were also present as sub-reservoirs in the inner disk (NC reservoir), generating two or more clusters i.e., (i) the Vesta-like howardites-eucrites-diogenites (HEDs), mesosiderites, angrites, acapulcoites, lodranites, and brachinites and (ii) the Earth-Mars-like ordinary chondrites (OC), aubrites, enstatite chondrites (EC), winonaites, IAB silicates, rumuruti chondrites (R), Martian and terrestrial samples. These reservoirs likely represent disk substructures such as secondary gaps and ring-structures, created by spiral arms, which were emitted from the growing Jupiter and/or Saturn. The distinct isotopic compositions of these reservoirs may reflect thermal processing of material within the disk in combination with temporal isotopic variations either due to isotopically variable infalling material from a heterogeneous molecular cloud and/or thermal processing during the infall that induced such heterogeneities. Such effects were likely reinforced by thermal processing of the material within the disk itself and by physical size- and density sorting of dust caused by the giant planets, creating gaps and pressure bumps in the disk. Genetic relationships of meteorite groups and their implications on parent body formation are evaluated. New high precision Ti isotope data are consistent with that (i) CH and CB meteorites derive from a common parent body, which most likely accreted material from the same isotopic reservoir as the parent body of CR chondrites, (ii) silicates of IAB irons and winonaites originate from the same parent body, and (iii) mesosiderites and HED meteorites have a common origin on Vesta. The indistinguishable Ti and Cr isotope compositions of HEDs/mesosiderites to acapulcoites are not attributed to a common parent body, because of petrologic and chemical differences in addition to their distinct O isotope compositions. Their parent bodies likely accreted in the same disk region, which showed a higher level of O isotope heterogeneity compared to that of Ti, Cr and other refractory nucleosynthetic tracers. The similarity in Ti isotope compositions of Martian meteorites and OCs indicates that OC-like material belongs to the main building blocks of Mars. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
