Abstract

The stress dependence of the coercivity of thin [Fe.sub.79][Hf.sub.7][B.sub.12][Si.sub.2] glass-coated microwires exhibiting a nanocrystalline microstructure is presented. The applied tensile stress dependence of the coercive field of both as-cast and annealed samples is measured.

Abstract

The changes in the magnetic properties of [Ni.sub.5][Fe.sub.68.5][Si.sub.13.5][B.sub.9][Nb.sub.3][Cu.sub.1] amorphous alloy after thermal treatment are reported. The findings observe that the substitution of a small number of Fe atoms by Ni ones leads to an improvement of the soft magnetic characteristics of the alloy.

Abstract

The magnetic and microstructural study of Fe-rich cold-drawn amorphous wire has been performed. The influence of the current annealing on the process of the formation of helical magnetic structure in the surface area of the wire has been investigated. The correlation between the magnetic and structural properties of cold-drawn wire is discussed. Index Terms--Amorphous magnetic wires, hysteresis, magnetooptic Kerr effect.

Abstract

The coercive field and energy barriers in FePt particles with gradually spatially varying properties, especially the magnetization, anisotropy and exchange constants are analyzed. The modeling results have concluded that the magnetization reversal processes for dynamic reversal at the coercive field and for the zero field energy barrier has involved different reversal modes.

Abstract

Microcrystalline, magnetization and saturation magnetostriction measurements in [Fe.sub.73.5-x][Ni.sub.x][Si.sub.13.5][B.sub.9][Nb.sub.3]Cu.sub.1] alloy ribbons (x=5, 10, and 20) treated by current annealing and stress-current annealing are described. The saturation magnetostriction has decreased with the thermal treatment, which has agreed with the microstructural behavior, although some discrepancies are found for samples with x = 5.

Abstract

Fe-Al alloys around the concentration of 30 at. % Al showing very interesting magnetic properties is presented. The results show that the samples have magnetic inhomogeneities that evolve with temperature and only in the Fe-richest sample the random-field model could be applied.

Abstract

Los olores debidos a compuestos del azufre son un problema en conducciones y depuradoras de aguas residuales. Ciertas condiciones que se ocasionan en estos medios favorecen la formación de sulfuro de hidrógeno, principal gas maloliente que plantea problemas técnicos debidos a su corrrosividad y toxicidad, así como quejas sociales al ser fácilmente detectado por el sistema olfativo humano. Este trabajo estudia la eliminación de olores en un reactor biopelícula de laboratorio utilizando un compuesto químico (proporcionado por la empresa ACIdEKA S.A.) inhibidor de la actividad de la biomasa sulfato-reductora. Su eficacia se estudia variando la concentración, los modos de adición y el tiempo entre dosis. Por otro lado se investiga la posible aclimatación de la biomasa al reactivo. Se consiguen rendimientos máximos de eliminación de olor (SH2 y mercaptanos) cercanos al 99%, utilizando dosis de 18,6mg·g-1Biopelícula húmeda y adicionando de forma continua, no encontrándose indicios de aclimatación por parte de la biomasa al producto., Peer Reviewed
