SUBALTERN ,MARXIST philosophy ,SOLIDARITY ,SPECTATORS ,PARADOX - Abstract
This text explores the nuances of choice and consequence through the philosophical lenses of Pascal and Sartre. It contrasts Pascal's transcendental faith-based approach with Sartre's terrestrial decision-making, emphasizing the inherent paradox of engagement beginning before choice. It argues that authentic choice demands embracing the unknown and its extreme consequences, rejecting the spectator's role for active participation. The text also examines the intellectual's duality, caught between bourgeois origins and subaltern solidarity, and the antinomy of integrating science and revolution. It concludes with reflections on the intellectual's role in revolutionary movements, highlighting the necessity of continuous critical engagement and the interplay of truth and error. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

ATTITUDES toward language , *DECONSTRUCTION , *DISCOURSE , *LANGUAGE & languages , *AUTHORS - Abstract
The negative discourse that is represented in the works of Jacques Derrida, as well as in the works of Dionysius the Areopagite, is the reason why certain authors claim that deconstruction can be interpreted as equal to apophatic. In this paper, we will consider the relationship between these ideas. On the one hand, we will agree with the thesis that there is a certain similarity between them, which refers to the examination of language boundaries. However, our thesis is that these concepts are completely different in their essence when it comes to the attitude towards language that the mentioned authors have. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

antropologija ,crkveno učiteljstvo ,dekonstrukcija ,priroda ,rodni stereotipi ,Philosophy. Psychology. Religion - Abstract

MUSICAL criticism , *MUSICOLOGISTS , *CRISES , *LITERARY research , *DECONSTRUCTION , *MUSICOLOGY , *CROATS , *MUSICALS - Abstract
The word »crisis« often appears in the writings of the Croatian musicologist Eva Sedak (1938--2017). In this study, based on the research of her literary heritage, it is shown that Eva Sedak's thought about the crisis unfolds in the tension between two mutually exclusive meanings of the term, since the first meaning implies that everything is subjected to crisis, and the second that the crisis manifests itself precisely in relation to something that is considered to be beyond the crisis. The author shows that the field of tensions between two meanings appears in three characteristic contexts, which to some extent overlap. In the writings until the mid-1970s, Eva Sedak appeared as a kind of witness to the »crisis« into which fell, in her opinion, contemporary composition on the one hand and music criticism, on the other. In the second context, which began in the late 1970s, »crisis« was the term to describe the state of musical life in Croatia in past and present times, which, precisely because of its position in the »border area«, posed a challenge to musicological considerations. Finally, in the third context, outlined gradually but particularly strikingly in the late 1990s, the »crisis« emerged as an integral part of a historiographical conception capable of adequately responding to the »crisis« state of music in the »border area«. In this context, the notion of »crisis« gradually gives way to the notion of »deconstruction«. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
This article about the Chinese oldest written monument "Book of Changes" focuses mainly on linguistic aspects, explaining selected phrases from the body of the text, names of hexagrams, and words of lines. The research is based on the text version and commentary by Van Bi... (226-249) from Wei Dynasty, classical "10 wings" (Shi yi+...) commentaries from the 1st millennium BC, works by scholars from Han, Tang, Song and Qing Dynasties (2nd century BC -- 17th century), and translations by Western sinologists are taken into account as well. The total volume of the "Book of Changes" amounts to 5016 Chinese characters (usually one Chinese character corresponds to one word). In this study, special attention is paid to the symbolism of the word ZHEN ... that appears in the text quite often -- 111 times. The aim of the article is to depict the process of the semantic evolution of this character, to analyze various explanations of Chinese and Western researchers, and finally to offer a new interpretation from an unconventional perspective. At the beginning of the article, the semantic approach is applied to trace origins, meanings, and existing explanations of the word. In the second part, a creative deconstruction approach is used to analyze the entire text, revealing atypical meanings of the word within various schemes: 1) in the layer of hexagram succession chain and judgments, 2) in relationships of lines, 3) in problematic and inauspicious situations mentioned throughout the text. For relevant concepts, there are Chinese characters and international pinyin transcription given in the brackets. Only a few key words (like zhen, yin, yang) that are very often repeated and used in the text body are transcribed in Latvian. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

HISTORICAL films , *FILM genres , *FILM studies , *HISTORICAL source material , *HISTORIANS , *EDUCATIONAL films - Abstract
Relying of historians and film scholars such as R. A. Rosenstone, William Guynn and Marnie Hughes-Warrington who tried to justify historical film (as genre) and the film that deals with history (irrespective of type and genre) as relevant sources for studying history, this paper questions the possibility of interpreting historical films as texts whose interpretation is subject to linguistic games discussed by Barthes, Blanchot and Derrida in their late key texts. This is an attempt to demystify the genre of historical film as an unambiguous authentic presentation of something from the "extracinematic" empirical "reality", and a return to the interpretation of the code which at the same time checks and "unchecks" the genre and finally a conciliation of historiography and film studies with a conclusion that every historical text can be educational precisely because it is susceptible to interpretation. U trećem koraku bit će pokazano kako je od Mallarméa, preko Derridaove razrade, ritam (ritam pojavnosti i ritam stiha, ritam riječi i ritam bjeline) postao jednom od diskretnih, ali najradikalnijih teorijskih premisa nekih od najvažnijih filozofa postmoderne: Agambena, Kristeve, Rancièrea, Nancyja., The notion of rhythm in the works of Stephane Mallarmé has a specific position upon which all the poet’s most taunting ideas refract. Following the line this notion opens, in the first step established are the parallels between Mallarmé’s aesthetic postulates and Husserl’s phenomenology. In the second step, the Husserl – Mallarmé parallel serves as a matrix for understanding some basic paradoxes of Derrida’s deconstruction. It will be shown that Derrida, too, was in search of a specific, distinctive rhythm. In the third step, it will be shown how from Mallarmé, over Derrida’s workthrough, the rhythm (rhythm of appearance and rhythm of verse, rhythm of words and rhythm of whiteness) became one of the discrete, but most radical theoretical premises among some of the most influential philosophers of the postmodern: Agamben, Kristeva, Rancière, Nancy.

Ovakve postupke smjestili smo u okvir odnosa jezika i stvarnosti i izdvojili dva slučaja kada dolazi do njihovog konflikta. This master's thesis deals with the analysis of the postmodernist reimagining of the Russian language and the socio-cultural position of Russian classical literature in the dystopian novel Blue Lard by V. G. Sorokin. The author uses the deconstruction of language and narratives, which manifests as violence in both plot and discourse, and produces a shock effect. We placed such literary techniques in the framework of the relation between language and reality and emphasized two cases in which conflict between them occurs. In the first case, the author's artistic vision of language as a generative organism is expressed in the obscene concretization of abstract concepts and metaphors in the material reality of the novel, i. e. carnalization. In the second case, we studied the issue of the referentiality of the linguistic sign, that Sorokin introduces in his literary text: in the pseudo-Chekhovian play he points out the arbitrariness and fragility of the relation between the linguistic sign and the referent, and on the example of Stalin presented as a linguistic sign, he destabilizes deeply rooted connotative meanings. On the linguistic level of the novel, we analysed the author's experimentation with the Russian language, which in the novel becomes the so-called New Russian, a language of the dystopian future which manifests itself as zaum (“beyondsenseˮ). In creating the New Russian, Sorokin employs strategies such as neologization and neosemantization of the standard Russian language, linguistic borrowing, and innovations in the writing system. In the end, we discussed the position and role of literature and writers represented in the novel. Sorokin uses the motif of cloning and recreates parodic texts as i f they were written by Tolstoy, Nabokov, Chekhov, Akhmatova, Platonov, Pasternak, and Dostoyevsky. With this in mind, we defined Blue lard as a highly metaliterary and intertextual novel that speaks about the Russian language, literature, and culture in Sorokin's distinctive manner.

Završni rad je posvećen analizi dekonstrukcije sovjetskog mita o svemiru u pripovijesti Omon Ra Viktora Pelevina. Koristeći razne postmodernističke tehnike, Pelevin parodira sovjetska postignuća u svemiru i kritizira različite aspekte sovjetske prošlosti.

Upravo zato ruski postmodernizam demitologizira, dekanonizira, deideologizira i dekonstruira sve vrijednosti komunističkog režima i njegove poetike – socrealizma.

Teoretični izhodiščni točki sta izpostavitev filozofije knjige A Labor of Love (2020) in praznovanje ročnega dela v dobi tehnologije preko razstave Manus x Machina (2016). The collection »BETWEEN SCISSOR HAND AND LACE MAKING HAND« is a sustainable collection that highlights the issue of overproduction of clothing and the importance of handmade techniques today. Aim of the thesis is to provide a potential solution for the process of creating a fashion collection with an added value. Starting points were the highlighting of the philosophy of the book A Labor of Love (2020) and celebration of manual labour in the age of technology through the exhibition Manus x Machina (2016). The philosophy is based on the hope for a new era that offers a redefinition of the creative process and the way products are made. It highlights the importance of thinking that all materials are alive and their energy can be used. The key to this is the integration of found, recycled materials and the reinterpretation of materials. This creative shift is symbolised by Edward Scissorhand's hand from the fantasy drama. The hand has extended tools that become playful and, above all, creative. The second point of departure is embodied by the celebration of handicrafts in the exhibition. Currently, the learning of textile handicraft techniques is on the rise in modern society. The collection therefore incorporates the textile technique of lacemaking. The importance of including Idrija lace is also to celebrate the traditional Slovenian textile technique and to pass on the skill from the older generation to the younger. In the practical part of the thesis, the graduation collection physically interprets the reflections of the philosophy presented by incorporating a balance between first-hand and second-hand materials. Designed and handmade lace patterns are incorporated into the de-construction of second-hand garments, which have been given new meaning and value.

Ukratko, nastoji se izići iz saussureovskog koncepta jezika te ponuditi poststrukturalističko tumačenje ženskog i ženstvenog diskursa., The paper examines the concept of female and feminine writing, its nature and origin. It strives to surpass the concept of equality but also of diversity, i.e. binary (o) positions, dichotomies. Using the psychoanalytical theoretical approach, it starts from an attempt to define the female and feminine. Furthermore, all the characteristics of female and feminine personality, i.e. expression, are considered and described, as well as the ways in which female sexuality penetrates, i.e. emerges, into/out of the textual space. Also, using meticulous analyzes of grammatical categories, female and feminine textual strategies, the theory about the narrow and indivisible relationship between sexual and linguistic genders is presented. Then, practicing the deconstruction method, the linguistic position of the female subject is connected with the processes of individualization, identification, heterosexualization and bisexual relationship with the reality. In short, trying to get out of the Saussure’s concept of language, the work offers a poststructuralist interpretation of female and feminine discourse.

Straipsnyje analizuojamos tikrovės sąvokos implikacijos seksualinio, etinio ir politinio diskurso plotmėje, be to, keliamas klausimas, kokias "realias" reikšmes slepia filosofinio "tikrovės sugrįžimo" simptomai.

Postmodernizmas ,dekonstrukcija ,aporija ,etika ,politika ,Philosophy (General) ,B1-5802 - Abstract
