Academic credentials play an immensely significant role in the career of a person and in the progress of society. The system in place currently used for the issuance, storage & sharing of academic credentials is quite inefficient in its operations, due to being paper based in large. There is also widespread fraud committed every year in terms of academic credentials, ranging from diploma mills to plain forgery. There presents a need for a total digital transformation in this field, which ensures complete independent authenticity of credentials that could be proven in a fool-proof manner. Blockchain technology promises to alleviate the above identified problems by ensuring complete transparency & verifiable proofs of ownership using decentralized storage of credentials & Public Key Cryptography (PKC) in the form of Digital Signatures. This project implements the proposed solution by using the ECDSA algorithm to (i) sign the accreditation of institute by governing body, such as The Ministry of Education (MOE) (ii) sign the academic credentials by the issuing party (iii) sign the issued credentials by the learner to claim iv) sign the credentials by some governing body like the MOE. The learner can share the signed credential with any third party, such as a potential employer. The ECDSA algorithm can then authenticate the credential by programmatically verifying the signature proof by any party using the corresponding Public Key without going through tedious channels. Currently, we are surrounded by technology, and with a single click we can find out the exact location where we are. This is possible thanks to a precise navigation system called GPS (Global Positioning System) which through a network of 24 satellites and radio waves can accurately determine where we are in real time. The position of an object, a target, or a reference point on the planet can be represented in several ways, the most well-known way is through the angular coordinate reference system, which is, latitude and longitude. The geographic coordinate system (GCS) uses a sphere to define locations on Earth, using angles measured in degrees from the center of the Earth to any point on the surface. These coordinates can be found in several formats, depending on the way of writing, the classical representation of latitude and longitude being in degrees, minutes and seconds (DMS), but in everyday life, through navigation applications we find them in another form, that is degrees and decimal places (DD) or decimal degrees and minutes (DDM). The relationship between the three ways of writing coordinates is simple, and through a few calculations we can transform in minutes, even seconds from one format to the other. In semigraphs, the role of a node in an edge is classified into two: end nodes and middle nodes. This classification of nodes in a fuzzy semigraph, along with the membership values, contributes to the categorization of the degrees of nodes according to their roles. Four types of degrees-degree, edge degree, adjacent degree, and consecutive adjacent degree of a node, corresponding regularities, and three types of sizes-size, crisp size, and pseudo size are introduced for a fuzzy semigraph. An application that models a sequence of activities and procedures to complete various tasks in a university as a fuzzy multi-semigraph is discussed to justify these new concepts. This article presents a reflection on the link between education and social sciences in the training of graduates and the consolidation of this relationship in the graduating professional profile. The curricula of 12 bachelor’s degrees, 12 graduation profiles and three interviews with experts in education and socio-educational intervention were analyzed. A strong link between education and social sciences was found in the graduation profiles of graduates, as well as a high representation of social sciences subjects in the curricula. However, factors inherent to the educational system and the forms of knowledge organization in the curricular structure hinder this relationship, therefore, the teacher training that today’s world requires.

The article aims to analyze the challenges of teacher training with regard to issues related to entry and retention in degree courses, as well as future performance in the teaching career. This is the result of research carried out based on statistical and documentary data, which were interpreted based on the foundations of historical-dialectical materialism. The results indicate that the majority of students are female workers, single, between 25 and 33 years old, with a family income of 1.5 to 3 minimum wages and there is a significant number who do not intend to work in the area of education. There are many determinants that lead to not working in the teaching career, after finishing the degree, or even abandoning it early. In this article, we will discuss the conditions of initial training and teacher development as fundamental elements.

Network theory has been widely used to describe complex systems in the real world. Identifying the influential nodes in a network is one of the most important topic in the research of network theory. Identification of influential nodes in a network is a significant and challenging task since influential nodes act as a hub for information transmission in a command and control network, however it is necessary if the invulnerability of the network is to be increased. The global and local structure (GLS) is a reasonable and efficacious method to quantify the influence of nodes in a network model. The influence of a node depends not only on its own influence but also on the ability of other nodes in the network to contribute to its influence. This method was also proved to be accurate and efficient in influential node analysis within a network. A bibliometric analysis of the degree works (undergraduate) presented at the Faculty of Anthropology (FA) of the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEMex) for 45 years is offered. Themes, scope, modality and frequency are identified. It seeks to understand the course of these investigations and their direction in prospective terms. The results show 620 works in different modalities, between 1986 and 2022. An annual increase is identified from the third decade and, in the last 15 years, a diversification in the modality is noticed, with a prevalence of theses. The themes show a transition that begins with the rural/urban dichotomy, goes through themes that problematizechange and leads to research on specific population groups. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Associated to $\mathbb {V}$ one has the so-called Hodge locus $\textrm {HL}(S) \subset S$ , which is a countable union of 'special' algebraic subvarieties of $S$ parametrizing those fibres of $\mathbb {V}$ possessing extra Hodge tensors (and so, conjecturally, those fibres of $f$ possessing extra algebraic cycles). The special subvarieties belong to a larger class of so-called weakly special subvarieties, which are subvarieties of $S$ maximal for their algebraic monodromy groups. For each positive integer $d$ , we give an algorithm to compute the set of all weakly special subvarieties $Z \subset S$ of degree at most $d$ (with the degree taken relative to a choice of projective compactification $S \subset \overline {S}$ and very ample line bundle $\mathcal {L}$ on $\overline {S}$). As a corollary of our algorithm we prove conjectures of Daw–Ren and Daw–Javanpeykar–Kühne on the finiteness of sets of special and weakly special subvarieties of bounded degree. The article analyzes the process of constitution and closing of a degree course in Rural Education at UTFPR, Campus Dois Vizinhos. The historical context that allowed the emergence of this course in Brazil is analyzed; the factors that contributed to the opening of the course at the mentioned university; results of the implementation and the difficulties encountered for maintenance are presented, as well as the difficulties encountered by graduates to obtain work in the training area. Finally, an analysis is made of the factors, internal and external to the university, that led to the closure of the course. Methodologically, a questionnaire was applied to the graduates of the first group of the course, analysis of documents (Pedagogical Project of the Course, minutes of the Structuring Teaching Nucleus and the Collegiate), as well as the authors' experience as teachers and managers. We examine equative constructions in Dutch, comparing it to their counterparts in two other Germanic languages, namely English and German. We observe that there is significant variation in the morphosyntax of equative constructions based on whether what is being compared is a gradable adjective or a verb (e.g. Kim is as tall as Sue and Kim ran as Sue (did)) across the three languages and that the morphosyntax corresponds to meaning differences, determining what exactly can be compared in these constructions. Based on these observations, we propose an account for Dutch equative constructions based on eventuality kinds, which has implications for the semantics of comparison constructions in general in relation to the ontological status of degrees and manners in the grammar. Recently, enrollments at numerous American universities have been trending downward. This has led to an increasingly competitive atmosphere for attracting new students, creating the need to better understand why students ultimately attend their chosen institution. Prior research has explored factors that influence students to pursue agricultural degree programs at Land-Grant Universities with limited research addressing why students opt to study agriculture at Non-Land-Grant Colleges of Agriculture (NLGCAs). The purpose of our study was to describe the factors influencing students' decisions to pursue agricultural degrees at NLGCAs. We distributed a valid and reliable instrument to all first-semester students enrolled at our NLGCAs. Regarding enrollment factors, we found that: (1) students most frequently used degree program information on a university website to help make their enrollment decision; (2) cost of attendance was most frequently cited as an Influential or Very influential university-related factor; (3) career opportunities available for graduates was most frequently cited as an Influential or Very influential major selection-related factor; (4) a parent or guardian was most frequently cited as an Influential or Very influential individual-related factor; and the (5) availability of student organizations was most frequently cited as an Influential or Very influential social interaction-related factor. This article describes the emergence of 'professional Quakers', or Friends who emerged as leaders of Quaker institutions based on secular credentials. In the early twentieth century, many American Quaker institutions, especially Quaker colleges, large yearly meetings, and Quaker organisations like the American Friends Service Committee, began hiring full-time staff and assembling boards that resembled the structures of corporations and other secular institutions. Furthermore, the leaders of these bodies became de facto leaders within the Religious Society of Friends, a process accelerated by the comparative decentralisation of the Quaker denominational infrastructure relative to other Protestant groups. Over time, the Quaker leadership apparatus came to reflect the values and prejudices of the larger American society in which it operated, privileging those to whom secular credentials were widely available, namely wealthy male Friends, and excluding those also excluded from most secular institutions of learning, especially women. In order to promote education in environmental sustainability at higher education institutions and establish action priorities, a detailed analysis of the initial situation is needed, both in terms of courses offered and teaching and assessment strategies implemented. This article presents a methodology that can be used to standardize the evaluation of teaching in environmental sustainability at different universities. We exemplify its application at the University of Alcalá, located in Central Spain. The inventory was conducted using in-house software development for the extraction of environmental sustainability concepts in the degree courses' syllabi, completed with a survey to faculty members and a manual review to confirm its adjustment to environmental issues. Those finally selected were analyzed in depth. The main results indicate that currently, only a small part of the courses (5.5%) offered at the University explicitly include environmental sustainability content. The grades that concentrate most of the courses are those of Environmental Sciences, Biology, Economics, Tourism and Pharmacy, with very low occurrence in the grades of Education and Health Sciences. It is concluded that further institutional commitment is needed in the definition of medium-term strategies to guide the training and dissemination efforts in order to promote sound environmental education in university courses. We prove that if A is a string algebra then there are not three irreducible morphisms between indecomposable A-modules such that its composition belongs to R 6 \ R 7 , whenever the compositions of two of them are not in R 3. Moreover, for any positive integer n ≥ 3 , we show that there are algebras where their module category have n irreducible morphisms such that their composition is in R n + 4 \ R n + 5 . Directed Steiner Tree (DST) is a central problem in combinatorial optimization and theoretical computer science: Given a directed graph G = (V , E) with edge costs c ∈ R ≥ 0 E , a root r ∈ V and k terminals K ⊆ V , we need to output the minimum-cost arborescence in G that contains an r → t path for every t ∈ K . Recently, Grandoni, Laekhanukit and Li, and independently Ghuge and Nagarajan, gave quasi-polynomial time O (log 2 k / log log k) -approximation Algorithms for the problem, which are tight under popular complexity assumptions. In this paper, we consider the more general Degree-Bounded Directed Steiner Tree (DB-DST) problem, where we are additionally given a degree bound d v on each vertex v ∈ V , and we require that every vertex v in the output tree has at most d v children. We give a quasi-polynomial time (O (log n log k) , O (log 2 n)) -bicriteria approximation: The Algorithm produces a solution with cost at most O (log n log k) times the cost of the optimum solution that violates the degree constraints by at most a factor of O (log 2 n) . This is the first non-trivial result for the problem. While our cost-guarantee is nearly optimal, the degree violation factor of O (log 2 n) is an O (log n) -factor away from the approximation lower bound of Ω (log n) from the set-cover hardness. The hardness result holds even on the special case of the Degree-Bounded Group Steiner Tree problem on trees (DB-GST-T). With the hope of closing the gap, we study the question of whether the degree violation factor can be made tight for this special case. Background: Limited knowledge exists on the role of advanced academic degrees within faculty positions in orthopaedic sports medicine. Purpose: To 1) provide an assessment of the baseline demographics of advanced degrees among orthopaedic sports medicine faculty and 2) examine the impact of advanced degrees on research productivity and career attainment of orthopaedic sports medicine faculty. Study Design: Cross-sectional study; Level of evidence, 4. Methods: Orthopaedic sports medicine academics were identified using faculty listings on websites of the 200 orthopaedic surgery residency programs during the 2020-2021 academic year. Advanced degrees were defined as those additional to the primary medical degree (Doctor of Medicine [MD] or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine [DO]). Outcome measures included timing of advanced degree obtainment, residency program rankings, research productivity, and current academic rank and leadership roles. Statistical analysis was performed using chi-square and Mann-Whitney U tests to determine the association of advanced degrees on outcome measures. Results: In total, 911 orthopaedic sports medicine faculty members were identified, of whom 100 had an advanced degree. The most common advanced degrees were Master of Science (MS/MSc; 38%), Doctor of Philosophy (PhD; 23%), and Master of Business Administration (MBA; 13%). The presence of an advanced degree was associated with greater research productivity, including higher h-index and number of publications, as well as more editorial board positions on orthopaedics journals (P <.001). Advanced degrees were not significantly associated with attending a higher ranked orthopaedic surgery residency program, current academic rank, or leadership roles. At the institutional level, orthopaedic sports medicine programs that employed faculty with an advanced degree had a higher residency program ranking and the presence of a sports medicine fellowship was more likely (P <.05). Conclusion: Advanced degrees in orthopaedic sports medicine were associated with greater faculty research engagement and employment at a higher ranked institution; they were not associated with matching to a highly ranked orthopaedic surgery residency program, higher faculty rank, or academic leadership roles. In this paper, we discuss two types of dimensional adjectives in Nuosu Yi (Tibeto-Burman), which we refer to as Positive adjectives (PAs) and Equative Adjectives (EAs). We show that PAs and EAs are subject to different distributions in gradation structures: EAs are only admissible in gradation structures that can be associated with measure phrases, which include differential comparatives (e.g., Ayi is 2 cm taller than Aguo.) and degree questions (e.g., How tall is Ayi?). PAs are licensed elsewhere, including comparatives that do not introduce a differential (e.g., Ayi is taller than Aguo.), the intensification construction (e.g., Ayi is very tall), the superlative construction (e.g., Ayi is the tallest), etc. Assuming that measure phrases are degree-denoting expressions, we propose that the complementary distribution of PAs and EAs in Nuosu Yi is due to their different semantics: PAs are context sensitive predicates that do not introduce a degree argument (of type ), while EAs are degree predicates (of type >). We study sufficient conditions for a morphism in the category of complexes of fixed size C n (proj A) , with n ≥ 2 and A an artin algebra, to belong to the infinite radical of K − , b (proj A). As an application we consider A a Nakayama gentle algebra, whose ordinary quiver is an oriented cycle and we prove that the irreducible morphisms in C n (proj A) are irreducible in K − , b (proj A) or belong to the infinite radical of K − , b (proj A).
