In 2011, Armentano, Beltr\'an and Shub obtained in \cite{ABS11} a closed expression for the expected logarithmic energy of the random point process on the sphere given by the roots of random elliptic polynomials. We consider a different approach which allows us to extend the study to the Riesz energies and to compute the expected separation distance.

ARTIFICIAL intelligence ,LANGUAGE models ,GENERATIVE artificial intelligence ,CORPORATE culture - Abstract
This article from McKinsey Insights explores the potential of generative AI (gen AI) and its impact on the technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT) industries. McKinsey estimates that gen AI could add between $2.6 trillion and $4.4 trillion to the economy annually, increasing the impact of all artificial intelligence by 15 to 40 percent. In the TMT space, gen AI use cases are expected to unleash between $380 billion and $690 billion in impact. The article emphasizes the need for executives to understand the potential impact of gen AI and develop strategies to incorporate it into their operations. It also discusses the challenges and opportunities of implementing gen AI, including the importance of data management, organizational readiness, and effectively managing risks. The article concludes by highlighting the evolving nature of gen AI and the need for TMT players to move from isolated cases to implementations at scale. [Extracted from the article]

- Abstract
Life sciences are yielding huge data sets that underpin scientific discoveries fundamental to improvement in human health, agriculture and the environment. In support of these discoveries, a plethora of databases and tools are deployed, in technically complex and diverse implementations, across a spectrum of scientific disciplines. The corpus of documentation of these resources is fragmented across the Web, with much redundancy, and has lacked a common standard of information. The outcome is that scientists must often struggle to find, understand, compare and use the best resources for the task at hand. Here we present a community-driven curation effort, supported by ELIXIR—the European infrastructure for biological information—that aspires to a comprehensive and consistent registry of information about bioinformatics resources. The sustainable upkeep of this Tools and Data Services Registry is assured by a curation effort driven by and tailored to local needs, and shared amongst a network of engaged partners. As of November 2015, the registry includes 1785 resources, with depositions from 126 individual registrations including 52 institutional providers and 74 individuals. With community support, the registry can become a standard for dissemination of information about bioinformatics resources: we welcome everyone to join us in this common endeavour. The registry is freely available at https://bio.tools.

Following is an article written by a youth named Haya de La Torre, now in exile from his country, who is becoming known as a leader of the liberal and labor forces of South America. Torre is a young radical whose influence has spread far beyond his own country, Peru. Torre became president of the Students' Federation of Peru and after graduating from college devoted himself to the organization of workers' universities in five centers. Torre held a position as teacher in a boys' school at Lima, Peru run by the Scotch Presbyterian Mission and continued his own studies for his doctor's degree.

Contains fulltext : 171819.pdf (Publisher’s version ) (Open Access) Life sciences are yielding huge data sets that underpin scientific discoveries fundamental to improvement in human health, agriculture and the environment. Here we present a community-driven curation effort, supported by ELIXIR-the European infrastructure for biological information-that aspires to a comprehensive and consistent registry of information about bioinformatics resources.
