Morphometry, understood as relief geometry, can be evaluated from various mapping techniques. These are characterized as tools that can generate important data for the evaluation of the potentiality of relief to denudative processes supporting environmental planning. In this sense, the objective of this study was to analyse the morphometric variables that compose the energy of the relief of the Alta Bacia do Ribeirão da Boa Vista (SP), positioned in the Paulista Peripheral Depression, which is characterized by a high amount of erosive features. For this, data from the letters of slope, horizontal dissection, vertical dissection and relief energy were used. The data analysis showed that the highest rates of slope and vertical dissection converged with the largest energy classes of the relief, denoting the erosive potential in the high course of the basin, where there is the presence of an extensive gully. The other sectors of the basin present less intense relief energy, however, the intermediate classes of horizontal dissection identified long ramps, which combined with the high slopes, can intensify erosion processes and hinder the use and occupation of land.
