The Breadwinner film is one of the films that have elements related to gender in it. The approach of this research is a qualitative descriptive research type, with data analysis using the method of Miles and Huberman. The semiotic analysis used the Roland Barthes analysis model which divides the stages into three, namely denotation, connotation, and myth. The results of this study are that gender in this film has a denotative meaning where women have demands to behave and act according to their environment, a connotative meaning where people put a lot of emphasis on how women should behave through verbal utterances, and myths about culture taken from one interpretation of the verses of the Al-Quran regarding women. In this article, it was determined that the worldview fragments of the ethnos code in mind are stored through non-linguistic information in the content of the concept and toponyms. From this point of view, in addition to the language usages in the works of Seydimbek, the cognitive toponyms themselves have their own characteristics, which are hidden from the history and culture of our people. It was mentioned that the model structure of the “field concept” in the Saryarka plain includes various associations and a set of indigenous knowledge. The richness of the Saryarka toponym reflects not only the physical attributes of the region but also the deep-seated cultural and spiritual connections of the Kazakh people to their environment. The main purpose of the study was to show concepts in the toponymic space of Seydimbek’s works in a set of various associations and background knowledge to the model structure of the concept of “Uly Dala” in the Saryarka plain.

This paper discusses (1) Roland Barthes' semiotic theory; and (2) its application in finding the Sufistic meaning of the signs of the word ism (noun) in nahwu science in the Alfiyah book by Ibn Malik. This research is a qualitative descriptive literature (library) with Roland Barthes's semiotic approach, in which the text is considered autonomous from its author (the dead of author), and the meaning is divided into how many levels. Therefore, this study concludes that (1) Roland Barthes' semiotic theory opens opportunities for multilevel meanings, where the first level is called denotation, and the second level is called connotation. The meaning of each is influenced by the imagination and feelings as well as socio-historical and mythological readers; and (2) the autonomization of the text makes the meaning which originally meant "nahwu" change into the meaning of tasawuf, which is a way of achieving privilege before Allah by applying the signs of ism, namely by (1) jarr (religious/ humble). ); (2) tanwi>n (having a strong desire, strong intention and consistent value in obedience); (3) nida>' (consistent recitation/remembrance of Allah physically and mentally); (4) alif + lam "al" (thinking positively and managing the heart from negative influences and gaining knowledge; and (5) musnad ilah (real charity and establishing good relations with fellow human beings, the universe, and the creator).

Frege's fictitious names possess meaning but lack denotation. Both these names and the sentences containing them are deemed fictitious. Since any proper name can potentially refer to an imaginary entity, it is crucial to consider the speaker's intention. When making a statement, the speaker may refer to the real or the imaginary. In the latter case, the thought cannot be explicitly expressed, and consequently, denotation cannot be reached. In Frege's framework, fictional thoughts hold little significance for decision-making and actions. There­fore, we consistently seek to discern whether the discourse pertains to the real or the imagi­nary. To make this knowledge accessible, it must be incorporated into the content of a sen­tence, effectively becoming a thought. However, not every statement expresses a thought, even if it conforms to the structure of a sentence. I will now elucidate three intensionalization pro­cedures that Frege proposes for constructing a sentence that expresses a thought, even if cer­tain components within it lack denotation: the articulation of a naming relation, the formula­tion of a propositional attitude of intention, and the formulation of a propositional attitude that conveys a metafictional context. Through these methods, the speaker's intent to indicate a real or fictional object becomes a constituent of thought, i. e., the sense of the sentence. Fic­tions themselves become components of thought when they are found in an indirect context, wherein their sense serves as their denotation. When considered independently, the sense of a proper noun is an entity with a parameter that acquires a value in the specific situation where the name is employed by a particular speaker. Frege's foundational concepts are juxtaposed with certain aspects of Aristotle and Leibniz's doctrines.

В настоящей статье рассматриваются некоторые языковедческие аспекты обучения иностранным языкам в высшей школе в контексте русской языковой культуры личности через содружественное взаимодействие иностранного языка и русского языка и раскрытие скрытого сигнификативного потенциала языков для достижения конечной цели образования и самообразования – личностно-ценностного развития личности и упрочения гражданского самосознания и патриотизма. Важным вопросом, поднятым в данной статье, является вопрос о том, какое место в поле национального притяжения человека, в языковом круге его родного языка, в картине мира русского языка занимает иностранный язык. Авторы приходят к выводу о том, что изучение иностранных языков всегда должно быть ради и во благо родного русского языка. С учетом острой востребованности в России сильной инженерной школы с не менее сильной гуманитарной составляющей инженерного образования на первую позицию выходят общечеловеческие универсальные способности и умения, активизация которых через вовлечение обучающихся в языковое творчество будет способствовать повышению интереса студенческой молодёжи к изучению иностранных языков, развитию логического и нестандартного мышления, красноречия, эвристических задатков, а также углублению знаний обучающихся о русском языке и русской культуре, воспитанию в них бережного отношения к нашей языковой среде.

E.E.C. Jones's early logical writings have recently been rescued from obscurity and it has been claimed that, in her works dating from the 1890s, she anticipated Frege's distinction between sense and reference. This claim is challenged on the ground that it is based on a common but inadequate reading of Frege, which runs together his concept/object and sense/reference distinctions. It is admitted that a case can be made for Jones having anticipated something very like Frege's analysis of categorical propositions, and that she offered a sound rebuttal of Russell's objection to Frege's account of the informativeness of identity statements. However, these significant achievements should not be misrepresented as an anticipation of Frege on sense and reference, a claim that encourages a defective reading of both philosophers. This research focuses on the problematics of Kalimantan's natural resource wealth in the poem "Di Sini" by Dahri Dahlan. The research used semantic theory and Roland Barthes's semiotics as the basis of analysis. The purpose of this research is to analyze the meaning contained in the language of the poem. In-depth interpretation is carried out by analyzing the language of poetry through denotation meaning, connotation meaning, and the relationship of cultural elements. This research is a literature study with a qualitative descriptive approach. The object of research is the poem "Here" contained in the poetry collection " Hal-Hal yang Pergi" by Dahri Dahlan. The data were obtained using listening and note-taking techniques. The results of the study outline two important meanings, (1) Dahri's poem "Di Sini" can be interpreted as a representation of loss and helplessness; and (2) Dahri Dahlan's poem "Di Sini" shows the wealth of natural resources as a form of real damage and loss.

Books are one of the written elements that are extremely important in the transfer of knowledge. Book covers, can be specified as a visual starting point for a book that affects the first impressions of the reader. The field of human resources management, on the other hand, can be expressed as a branch of science or discipline in which employee-employer relations are analyzed, analyzed and tried to be developed in depth, especially at the organizational level. Of course, various contributions are made in the academic field to the field of HRM. Some of these contributions state to the production of knowledge in a technical sense. Others are related to the intellectual background of the field. Unlike the aforementionet studies, in this study, 12 book covers on human resources management, selected by typical case sampling from the universe of all the books on human resources management sold in Turkey, were tried to be analyzed by making use of semiotic analysis, which is a qualitative research method. Thus, it is aimed to examine the relationship between the books written in the field of human resources management and the content of the books and the field. For analysis, a model arranged according to Roland Barthes' concepts of form-content, denotationconnotation was used. Semiology, which requires a series of processes such as interpreting, making sense, producing or understanding signs, is a science based on the analysis of all these factors with a systematic approach. The semiotic analysisis based on the analysis, exposition and interpretation of semantic systems containing myths, codes and metaphors hidden in a study. In the research, it is aimed to analyze ġükran Moral's "Child Bride" study, which has been producing studies on women's problematic since the 1990s and drawing attention to this problem, in terms of the semiotic methodology of Ferdinand de Sasurre, Roland Barthes and C. Levi-Strauss. In the study, the image of the Child Bride; connotation-denotation, signifier, syntax, string dimensions and contrasts. In the "Child Bride" video, which is framed in the light of semiotic models; together with contrasts such as light-dark, sadness-joy, happiness-unhappiness, dirty)clean, guilty-innocent, strong-weak, ruled-ruling; it has been determined that it was constructed as a performance that is expressed with cultural indicators through sexist, belonging and social discourses, performed in the context of sociological identities and roles, and that explains the relations of the society. In the article linguistic pragmatic factors of speech impact in texts of various genres are considered. Pragmatics is closely connected with semiotics, the sign theory, the theory of speech acts. In modern linguistic pragmatic research, the subject of speech, i.e. the speaker with his own communicative attitude and intentions, is put forward. The author of the article sets the objective of defining the methods of adequate pragmatic analysis of an oral and written text of various styles, the author also underlines the fact that information relevant from the point of view of pragmatics may be conveyed by various means, both linguistic and non-linguistic ones, such as the structure of the text of online format. Functional and systematic approach has been used in the study of language means of impact on the information recipient. Traditional division of semiotics into semantics, syntaxand pragmatics may be applied in modern linguistic research. In the article syntactic transpositions of parts of a sentence, which are regularly used in speech, as well as the semantic structure of lexical units of various stylistic reference, are considered. The importance of the context, both syntactic and lexical one, in realization of the word meaning (and consequently of its interpretation by the addressee) is pointed out in practical linguistic research.

В настоящее время особую актуальность приобретает проблема исследования языковой картины мира (ЯКМ) с точки зрения когнитивного подхода к языку. Изучение ЯКМ различных этнических групп нацелено на выявление специфики организации понятийной системы, используемой носителями того или иного языка. Значительный интерес представляет описание ЯКМ в рамках национальных вариантов языка, обусловленный особенностями их внутреннего строения, а именно наличием на уровне системы и структуры как элементов, характерных для языка метрополии, так и уникальных для данного идиома элементов. Цель настоящей статьи — выявление характеристик фрагмента ЯКМ франкоязычной Бельгии, отражающих особенности репрезентации животного «кошка» в бельгийском варианте французского языка на лексическом уровне. Для достижения поставленной цели был проведён анализ бельгицизмов с денотатом «кошка», а также содержащих сему «кошка» на уровне денотативного, либо коннотативного значения. Исследование включило в себя рассмотрение различных лингвистических характеристик данных лексических единиц, в связи с чем были применены такие методы, как этимологический, семантический анализ и анализ пропозиционно-фреймовых структур, описывающих значение слова. В результате исследования были выявлены признаки животного «кошка», отраженные при помощи различных лингвистических особенностей бельгицизмов и составляющие фрагмент ЯКМ франкоязычной Бельгии, связанный с восприятием данного животного. Полученные в ходе анализа результаты могут быть использованы в лексикографической практике, а также в рамках проведения дальнейших исследований в области когнитивистики.

The passage of “On Denoting” about Gray’s Elegy (PEG) is extremely obscure and has been the subject of many different interpretations. Apparently, it contains a devastating objection to the theory of denotative concepts that Russell himself had postulated in The Principles of Mathematics (PM) (1903). In this article we briefly expose this semantic theory, we examine in detail the passage in question, and we explore some of the interpretations that intend to unravel its meaning. With this we show, firstly, that this criticism is directed against the PM theory directly; secondly, that it is not possible to make a few homogeneous changes to enable a literal reading of the passage; finally, that although some of the arguments that the interpreters have argued to abandon the theory of denotative concepts are solid, it is not obvious that all of them are in PEG. This study examines the nuances among the chosen near-synonyms and the extent to which the translators considered such nuances in the selected translations of the Qur'an. It seeks to identify the meanings of two sets of near-synonyms in their Qur'anic contexts based on the Qur'anic exegeses. It also highlights the differences in meaning that exist among these near-synonyms and the extent to which the semantic differences among those near-synonyms are preserved in translation. This study is grounded on the RC-S approach by Murphy as a theoretical framework for data analysis. The obtained results show that there are some differences in meaning among the chosen near-synonyms and that some of such nuances are not preserved in the English and French translations. Thus, the study recommends that the differences in meaning among the near-synonyms should be identified before translating the Qur'anic texts, and subsequently, the identified differences should be reflected in the translation. Social and cultural factors shape the linguistic perception of colour. At the same time, colour terms co-create the linguistic image of the world, which allows us to interpret reality and profile our statements and beliefs. This paper presents six basic colour terms: white, black, red, green, yellow, and blue (both as adjectives and as nouns) in the five different linguistic images of the world of the following languages: English, French, Italian, Polish, and Japanese. The methodological framework is based on cultural linguistics theory and the basis of semantics. The study explores denotative and connotative meanings of colour terms with their collocations. The data gathered from monolingual, bilingual, collocation, and phraseological dictionaries is analysed from the lexical-semantic point of view. The paper discusses semantic differences between contrasting cultures, especially in the blue-green and red lexis. Simultaneously, the findings point to transcultural and global aspects of colour meanings. Both the contexts of cultural diversity and of geographic location are emphasised in the colour semantics. Colours as linguistic signs can specify and categorise reality in terms of feelings, mental attitudes, or sensual reactions. The examined words also refer to location, nature, and the human body. The study shows that colour terms are multifunctional units in the linguistic image of the world, both in terms of the analysed languages separately and as an illustration of the cultural community of different ethnic languages. The lexicons of natural languages are not isomorphic. Reasons for the anisomorphism can be sought on three interrelated planes: language structure, extralinguistic reality, and conceptualisation. Simply put, the relevant differences may reside in the language, the world, the mind, or any combination of these. As a result, what goes under the name of lexicographic equivalence is a rather heterogeneous category. Growing awareness of this fact has resulted over the years in the creation of several tentative typologies of equivalence, one of which is presented below, together with a brief discussion of some strategies for dealing with imperfect equivalence. The remaining part of the article comprises a detailed analysis of a single problem encountered while preparing a new edition of a bilingual dictionary for Polish learners of English. The task at hand involved choosing a viable counterpart for a (Polish) semantic neologism from among a few (English) equivalence candidates. In the discussion, reference is made both to the metalexicographic categories introduced earlier and to such concepts developed by lexical (especially cognitive) semantics which may prove helpful in capturing the meaning differences between the source-language item and its competing target-language renditions. This micro-scale dissection of a single specimen demonstrates that we are still some way from being able to classify, let alone deal with, all the instances of imperfect interlingual correspondence that come our way. Persisting in the efforts to advance our understanding of the complex issues covered by the blanket term lexicographic equivalence thus seems crucial for improving the treatment of meaning in bilingual dictionaries.
