System disturbance is one of the factors influencing the energy balance of systems. Social Engineering is a form of system disruption that manifests itself in covert and conscious system control. The present study examines the harmful energy role of Social Engineering through the parallels between the regulatory circuit of control theory and the operating model of Social Engineering. The result of the study highlights the importance of cyber defense.

Climate change also presents us with ongoing challenges that also affect energy supplies. These problems and challenges must be answered and solutions must be found. Mankind needs to switch to the use of climate-neutral resources and to the operation of energy-efficient models. Increasing efficiency also requires the development of an effective control system. The basic element of system control is the cybernetic loop. The present study examines the efficiency of the first phase of the cybernetic loop, the efficiency of sampling.

The former energy-wasting lifestyles of developed societies can no longer be sustained. In our age, efficiency is the key to continued sustainability. Increasing efficiency requires the use of infocommunication systems and their regulation. Regulatory modeling is based on the cybernetic loops model. The systems are not closed, so they are constantly suffering from environmental disturbances. External interference can also come from a human resource that covertly exploits the technological and psychic elements of the system to achieve its own goals. Social engineering is also such an intervention. The aims of the present study are to draw a parallel between cybernetic loops and social engineering, then to define social engineering on the cybernetic base.

The weakness of forecasts, particularly in a world in rapid transformation, requires a frequent reassessment of the projections on which a program rests.
