Insulin has been shown to modulate neuronal processes through insulin receptors. The ion channels located on neurons may be important targets for insulin/insulin receptor signaling. Both insulin receptors and acid-sensing ion channels (ASICs) are expressed in dorsal root ganglia (DRG) neurons. However, it is still unclear whether there is an interaction between them. Therefore, the purpose of this investigation was to determine the effects of insulin on the functional activity of ASICs. A 5 min application of insulin rapidly enhanced acid-evoked ASIC currents in rat DRG neurons in a concentration-dependent manner. Insulin shifted the concentration–response plot for ASIC currents upward, with an increase of 46.2 ± 7.6% in the maximal current response. The insulin-induced increase in ASIC currents was eliminated by the insulin receptor antagonist GSK1838705, the tyrosine kinase inhibitor lavendustin A, and the phosphatidylinositol-3 kinase antagonist wortmannin. Moreover, insulin increased the number of acid-triggered action potentials by activating insulin receptors. Finally, local administration of insulin exacerbated the spontaneous nociceptive behaviors induced by intraplantar acid injection and the mechanical hyperalgesia induced by intramuscular acid injections through peripheral insulin receptors. These results suggested that insulin/insulin receptor signaling enhanced the functional activity of ASICs via tyrosine kinase and phosphatidylinositol-3 kinase pathways. For the first time, we have registered, studied, and modeled the Maxwell–Wagner effect in structures with a smooth gradient of charge carriers' mobility. The Maxwell–Wagner charge, formed after applying a DC voltage to the gradient structure at room temperature, is distributed over the entire region of the gradient. The experiments were performed with slides of a soda‐lime glass subjected to sodium‐to‐potassium ion exchange, where the ions concentration gradient provides gradient of conductivity while dielectric permittivity stays the same. The electric field generated by the Maxwell–Wagner charge is concentrated in potassium‐enriched less conductive regions of the slide and is sufficiently high to induce the second order optical nonlinearity in the initially isotropic glass. The effect causes over 100‐fold increase in a second harmonic signal relative to the signal from the surface of a virgin glass. This phenomenon in graded‐concentration structures is perspective for characterizing interfacial charges, geometry of the gradient regions, and spatial distribution of electrical conductivity in micro‐ and optoelectronic semiconductor structures. Bearings are one of the most essential elements in an induction motor, and they are built with different materials and constructions according to their application. These components are usually one of the most failure-prone parts of an electric motor, so correct and accurate measurements, instrumentation, and processing methods are required to prevent and detect the presence of different failures. This work develops a methodology based on the fusion of current and magnetic stray flux signals, calculation of statistical and non-statistical indicators, genetic algorithms (GAs), linear discriminant analysis (LDA), and neural networks. The proposed approach achieves a diagnostic effectiveness of 99.8% for detecting various damages in the outer race at 50 Hz frequency and 96.6% at 60 Hz. It also demonstrates 99.8% effectiveness for detecting damages in the presence of contaminants in lubrication at 50 Hz and 97% at 60 Hz. In the current research work, in-house developed and fabricated multi-axis near-dry Electrical Discharge Machine (near-dry EDM) has been used having different tool positions, i.e. tool electrodes in horizontal position (Case-I) and vertical positions (Case-II) as a novel machining techniques in hard-to-reach places and also to improve the process performance. Design of Experiment tool has been used with three process parameters: voltage, discharge current, and pulse-on-time for experimentation purposes. In order to maximize Material Removal Rate (MRR), it was necessary to compare and enhance these parameters in both cases, i.e. Case-I, and Case-II. The machining process is significantly influenced by the vertical tool positions, as indicated by the largest percentage contribution in the Analysis of Variance results. The voltage has the least influence, while the pulse-on time is relatively less. In contrast, for the horizontal tool position, the voltage proved the most prominent factor in terms of influence, while the current ranked second in significance. Conversely, the pulse-on time exhibited the least impact among the three factors. The highest MRR 2.45 mm3/min was achieved in the vertical tool position while in horizontal machining, the highest MRR 0.144 mm3/min was observed. In the 21st century, understanding the mechanism of high-temperature superconductivity has emerged as a pinnacle achievement in condensed matter physics, capturing the lifelong interest of numerous physicists. This paper endeavors to offer a theoretical elucidation for this mechanism, advancing the broader field of physics. Recognizing that high-temperature superconductivity is an aspect of condensed matter physics — underpinned by Maxwell's classical electromagnetic theory — we turn to theoretical mechanics and field theory, which are foundational perspectives in the contemporary scientific era. By framing Maxwell's classical electromagnetic theory within the context of theoretical mechanics and field theory, this paper not only sheds light on the mechanism of high-temperature superconductivity but also recasts Maxwell's theory within a purer theoretical mechanics and field theory domain. This represents a paradigmatic shift and cognitive transformation in physics. Furthermore, leveraging this theoretical mechanics and field theory interpretation of electromagnetic phenomena, we discern that electromagnetic phenomena can be more aptly explained without resorting to the concepts of charges and electric fields, leading to a reinterpretation of Coulomb's law. We propose that protons and electrons might exist as entities devoid of charge-specific attributes and negate the possibility of a strongly correlated particle system within them. Cyclic lateral loads on monopile foundations of offshore wind turbines induce vibrations that affect the clear-water scour process around the foundations. Previous experimental studies showed that the current-induced equilibrium scour depths at vibrating monopiles may be less than those at static monopile foundations. However, this observation may not be comprehensive when applied to the cases of clear-water scour around vibrating monopile foundations subjected to different flow intensities. This paper presents an experimental study that investigated the clear-water scour mechanism at vibrating monopile foundations and obtained new findings. The experimental results indicate that the scour process is influenced by three major factors: vibration-induced sediment subsidence, vibration-induced sediment refill, and current-induced erosion. Based on the three major influencing factors and experimental data, a dimensionless equation for equilibrium clear-water scour depth at vibrating monopile foundations was derived. Furthermore, a regime transition flow intensity is defined, at which the equilibrium scour depth remains constant regardless of any changes in the vibration amplitudes. Two distinct scour trends under low and high flow intensities were identified. The two different trends were found to be induced by different dominant factors. The vibration-induced subsidence effect dominates in the low flow intensity regime, whereas the vibration-induced sediment refill effect dominates in the high flow intensity regime. The new findings of this paper help to understand the characterization of clear-water scour process around vibrating monopile foundations. Practical Applications: Monopile foundations of offshore wind turbines experience cyclic lateral vibration caused by winds and waves. The cyclic lateral vibration of monopile foundations potentially can affect the current-induced scour process around the foundations. The experimental results of this study revealed that the scour depth around vibrating monopile foundations under clear-water scour conditions is influenced by a coupling effect of flow intensities and vibration amplitudes and frequencies. The findings emphasize the influence of vibration on the scour process around monopile foundations of offshore wind turbines. These results provide valuable insights to optimize the design and manufacturing processes of monopile foundations. Fish Aggregating Devices (FADs) are essential supplementary structures used in tropical tuna purse-seine fishing. They are strategically placed to attract tuna species and enhance fishing productivity. The hydrodynamic performance of FADs has a direct effect on their structural and environmental safety in the harsh marine environment. Conventional FADs are composed of materials that do not break down naturally, leading to the accumulation of waste in the ocean and potential negative effects on marine ecosystems. Therefore, this work aimed to examine the hydrodynamic performance of biodegradable drifting FADs (Bio-DFADs) in oceanic currents by numerical modelling. The Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes equation was used to solve the flow field and discretized based on the realizable k-ε turbulence model, employing the finite volume method. A set of Bio-DFADs was developed to assess the hydrodynamic performance under varying current velocities and attack angles, as well as different balsa wood diameters and sinker weights. The results indicated that the relative current velocity significantly affected the relative velocity of Bio-DFADs. The relative length of the raft significantly affected both the relative velocity and the relative wetted area in a pure stream. Finally, the diameter of the balsa wood affected the drift velocity, and the sinker's relative weight affected the hydrodynamic performance of the Bio-DFADs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The electrical conductivity and volt–ampere characteristics (VAC) of the p-CuTlS2 single crystal with specific resistance ρ = 4 0 Ω ⋅ cm and irradiated by γ -quantum were studied in the range of 100–300 K temperature and 10–104 V/cm. It was determined that the cause of the conduction disorder observed in the CuTlS2 single crystal at low electric fields and high radiation doses is the formation of defect clusters dominated by cation vacancies. A sharp increase in current at high electric fields and temperatures occurs as a result of thermo-field ionization of the acceptor level with activation energy Δ E a = 0. 0 8 eV and the ionization voltage decreases with increasing radiation dose. Based on the determination of the parameters (λ , r m , n 0 , ε) that determine the mechanism of current flow, the dependence of the shape of the potential hole on the radiation dose was determined. The problem of getting rid of expensive and metal-intensive current transformers has been declared by CIGRE as strategically important for the electric power industry. However, almost all traditional current protections receive information from measuring current transformers. In this work, a resource-saving reed switch overcurrent protection without current transformers is suggested, which can be used as an alternative to traditional current protections for 6–10 kV electrical installations connected to a switchgear cell. The protection is designed following the novel method we have developed based on inductance coils. Inductance coils measure the electromotive force under different operation modes of an electrical installation and at different points inside the switchgear cell it is connected to; the EMF values are recalculated in the values of magnetic induction, and reed switches are mounted instead of inductance coils at the points where the magnetic induction is maximal. Moreover, these values are sufficient to detect phase-to-phase short circuits in the electrical installation. The dependence of the induction value on the position of an inductance coil inside the cell is derived with the use of the simplest formula of the Biot–Savart law. The results can be used at large and small industrial enterprises, electric power stations, and substations of plants; they can be interesting for the scientific community because they help to solve the topical problem of the electric power industry. The development of OLED displays is a non‐ergodic process in which there is continuous novel change; and comprehending emitters that are evolving requires new theory, or at least modification of that which is already possessed. For the first time, a new data‐validated closed‐form physics‐based expression is derived for the I‐V characteristics of OLEDs in this paper. Two parameters emerge from the new model: liminal current and liminal voltage. Both parameters are expressed in terms of device and material parameters, allowing a device engineer to intuitively design experiments to target low voltage operation OLEDs. This paper provides information on the performance study of precision current shunts in the context of their output voltage stability. Besides, it briefly focuses on the phenomena affecting the steady state of these measuring instruments. The authors present a methodology for testing current shunts to ensure a high-quality result of current measurement. The investigation highlights three characteristics of shunts (the dependence of resistance on temperature, the response of the output voltage to a fast increase of current, and the transition from a cold state to a warm one). The test equipment with precision shunts were considered during the experimental examination. The results of an investigation confirmed satisfactory operational properties and compliance with the needs of laboratories. Additionally, the authors emphasize using a precision shunt as a measuring standard when calibrating other instruments like high-precision digital ammeters. The LF & HF voltage, current and microwave metrology section of the CSIR-National Physical Laboratory plays an imperative role in the metrological investigations in the country as it follows the lawful obligations of the NPL charter of developing and maintaining national standards of HF voltage, LF voltage and current, phasor measurement unit and microwave power parameters. For over three decades, the section has been religiously dedicated to performing national obligations and delivering national calibration, testing and measuring services. Still, there is inadequate awareness, insight and perception related to the role of metrological traceability, calibration and measurement capabilities (CMCs) to the clients, academia, industries and government laboratories. Hence there is a dire need to educate and provide the required information to the end users. Keeping this in mind, this paper provides necessary details of the facilities, technologies and CMCs of the section to the common masses. The International Bureau of Weights and Measures (Bureau International des Poids et Mesures) and Asia Pacific Metrology Programme key/supplementary comparisons are also described in the paper, which has helped the group improve and attain greater heights. This work investigates the discrepancies in electrical parameters of mono-crystalline solar panels between Ago-Iwoye weather conditions and the manufacturer's specified ideal conditions. Manufacturer's specifications are typically based on 1,000 W/m2 global solar irradiance, AM 1.5, and 25°C operating temperature, while actual weather conditions at installation sites can vary significantly. Mono-crystalline (single-crystal) silicon solar panels of capacities 60, 80, 100, and 150 W were evaluated through current-voltage (I-V) response tests at an installation site in Ago-Iwoye, Nigeria, with solar irradiance exposure from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The analysis of I-V and P-V curves revealed a significant reduction in maximum power output by 28.6%, 25.9%, 28.9%, and 19.36%, respectively, compared to the manufacturer's stated values. This deviation underscores the importance of considering local weather conditions during solar PV projects, and we recommend adding an additional 20%-30% of the total solar panel capacity during installations to account for variations in solar irradiance and operating temperatures, ensuring optimal performance and effective solar power generation in Ago-Iwoye and similar areas. The southwest coast of India experiences frequent Indian oil sardine (IOS) nearshore aggregation events, especially in the coastal waters off Kerala. These ephemeral dense IOS aggregation events are known as "Sardine Run". To investigate the reason and provide a scientific basis for these sporadic events, satellite/model-derived physical, meteorological, and biological parameters were analysed. Sea Surface Temperature during a majority of events was in the range of 26–29 °C, agreeing with the reported temperature conditions for IOS in the Arabian Sea. Additionally, a marginal lowering of SST as an effect of precipitation before most of the events might have attracted IOS towards the near-coastal waters in addition to the phytoplankton diet availability, resulting in the aggregation event. However, different scenarios also depicted coastal warming and probable hypoxic conditions in degrading IOS habitat and resulting in beach aggregation events. During most of the IOS aggregation events, the wind and surface current direction was alongshore/coastward, which complemented the propagation of live IOS shoals towards the beach. In this study, in situ investigation of the coupling damage mechanisms of SnAgCu/Cu solder joints under thermal cycling and current was carried out to compare the thermal fatigue under the same temperature range, and to analyze the influence of temperature. It was found that the current increased the temperature of the solder joint, making it obviously higher than the ambient temperature. On the other hand, there was little difference between the thermal–electrical coupling damage and thermal fatigue before a significant increase in solder temperature; the interfacial plastic deformation was only slightly more serious, and the electromigration was not significant. With an increasing number of thermal cycles, the damage, resistance, and temperature of the solder joint increased, and the plastic deformation resistance of the solder decreased, leading to further damage and temperature increase, exhibiting an accelerating damage process. After the temperature reached a certain degree, the solder softened significantly, and its deformation behavior was similar to that of high-viscosity fluids, resulting in surface unevenness with significant height differences. As the temperature of the solder joint increased, the electromigration of Cu in the solder gradually increased, and the migration rate was dominated by the solder grain orientation. With higher peak temperature of the ambient thermal cycle, the thermal cycling–electric current coupling damage rate increased substantially. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Ocean currents are one of the movements of horizontal or vertical mass movement of seawater that takes place continuously. The purpose of this study is to determine current conditions in open water close to narrow strait waters, as well as canal estuaries. Current data is the result of measurements that have been carried out using ADCP (Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler) mini type ADP-SONTEK equipment on May 16, 2018, while tidal data refers to the recording results of the Makassar BIG tidal station. The results showed that the total surface current speed ranged from 0.017 - 0.375 m/sec with a dominant direction to the west or to open water both at high tide and at low tide. This work presents the results of manufacturing a single Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC) with Micro-Porous Layers (MPLs) and an active area of 25 cm2, and the experimental study required to build its polarization curve. Based on the physical model data, a numerical model of this PEMFC is created in the ANSYS PEM Fuel Cell module. Numerical simulations were performed with boundary conditions consistent with the experimental conditions on the test station. The calculation and experimental result comparison of the polarization curves for voltages ranging from 0.29 V to 0.94 V proved that the utilized numerical model is highly reliable. The simulation of PEMFC without MPLs was conducted according to such stable input parameters and boundary conditions. The results show that the PEMFC performance decreases significantly due to the flooding phenomenon inside PEMFC without MPLs compared to PEMFC with MPLs. This paper presents a review of cross-shore sediment transport for non-cohesive sediments in the coastal zone. The principles of sediment incipient motion are introduced. Formulations for the estimation of bedload transport are presented, for currents and combined waves and current flows. A method to consider the effect of sediment heterogeneity on transport, using the hiding–exposure coefficient and hindrance factor, is depicted. In microsurgery, many different imaging techniques are available in both flap and lymphatic surgery that all come with their own advantages and disadvantages. In flap surgery, CT angiography is considered as the gold standard. Among others, Doppler ultrasound, color Doppler ultrasound, ICG, and smartphone-based thermal cameras are valuable imaging techniques. In lymphatic surgery, photoacoustic imaging, laser tomography, contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging, and high frequency ultrasound stand available to surgeons next to the current standard of lymphoscintigraphy. It is crucial to know the advantages and disadvantages to various techniques and highly adviced to microsurgeons be capable of using a variety of them.

Introduction Trigeminal neuralgia (TN) is a severe condition that causes severe pain and emotional distress in the brain. It can significantly impact the quality of a person's life and lead to daily withdrawal and emotional instability. Despite extensive research, there is still a need for comprehensive bibliometric studies to understand the literature on TN. This study is particularly important as there are no existing bibliometric studies on TN on Scopus, providing new opportunities for research and innovation in TN treatment. Methods In this work, a literature review methodology is employed to gather data from the Scopus database using the keywords “trigeminal neuralgia”, current and therapy. Data were analyzed using Biblioshiny and VOSviewer software to produce visualizations and bibliometric maps. We conducted quantitative and qualitative analysis Results The research trend found are documents by year, most global cited document, most relevant sources, factorial map of the documents with the highest contributes, documents by author, documents by country or territory, documents by affiliation, documents by subject area, network visualization, overlay visualization of scopus database using vosviewer, density visualization, thematic map, thematic evolution, cluster analysis, and qualitative analysis. Conclusions The study focuses on trigeminal neuralgia, a topic of research and a recent topic involving periferal nerve stimulation and the use of karbamazepin, a new topic in the field of therapy.

Electrical brushes are essential parts of electrical circuits that can transmit electric power and signal between the moving and stationary parts by sliding, so they are exposed to both mechanical and electrical loading. In this study Cu-graphite brush was prepared by the powder metallurgy process, and was tested in rotating sliding electrical contact under different currents. The effect of electrical current on the tribological property of the Cu-graphite brush was investigated by evaluating the friction, wear, contact resistance and temperature. Results illustrate that the static contact resistance of Cu-graphite brush decreases sharply with an increase in the contact force. The friction coefficient and sliding contact resistance decrease gradually with increasing current, which is because of the Joule heat resulting in the reduction of the shear strength and the increase of real contact area. The formation of a continuous transfer layer on steel disc also contributes to the decrease of contact resistance. Oxidation of the wear debris and formation of hard particles causes abrasive wear. The development of electricity generation from renewable sources, particularly photovoltaic energy (PV), as well as the significant growth of electric mobility with electric vehicles (EVs), leads us to contemplate the potential impacts of these components may have on an existing distribution electrical network. An electrical distribution network is designed to supply electrical loads in one specific direction while maintaining the quality of its technical parameters, such as current, voltage, and frequency. In this article, through a literature review, we will explore how the integration of each component, photovoltaic energy, and electric vehicles, individually and in combination, can impact the electrical distribution network. In this study, we focus on the numerical modelling of the interaction between waves and submerged structures in the presence of a uniform flow current. Both the same and opposite senses of wave propagation are considered. The main objective is an understanding of the effect of the current and various geometrical parameters on the reflection coefficient. The wave used in the study is based on potential theory, and the submerged structures consist of two rectangular breakwaters positioned at a fixed distance from each other and attached to the bottom of a wave flume. The numerical modeling approach employed in this work relies on the Boundary Element Method (BEM). The results are compared with experimental data to validate the approach. The findings of the study demonstrate that the double rectangular breakwater configuration exhibits superior wave attenuation abilities if compared to a single rectangular breakwater, particularly at low wavenumbers. Furthermore, the study reveals that wave mitigation is more pronounced when the current and wave propagation are coplanar, whereas it is less effective in the case of opposing current. This study investigated the spatiotemporal distribution of the phytoplankton in the coral habitat of Dongshan Bay (China), along with critical factors affecting the distribution, during June, August, and December 2022. Phytoplankton abundance in Dongshan Bay exhibited considerably temporal variation, peaking in June 2022, gradually decreasing thereafter, and reaching its lowest point in December 2022. The abundance of bottom-layer phytoplankton consistently exceeded that of the surface layer throughout all seasons. The average phytoplankton abundance in the coral habitat of Dongshan Bay was lower than that in non-coral habitat areas. Fluctuations in the Zhangjiang River and coastal upwelling influenced the diversity and community structure of the phytoplankton. Critical factors causing spatiotemporal variability in phytoplankton community structure included nutrient concentrations and seawater temperature. Nutrients played key roles in influencing various phytoplankton groups. Dominant diatom species, such as Thalassionema nitzschioides and Thalassiosira diporocyclus, were positively correlated with ammonia nitrogen, seawater salinity, coral cover, and the number of coral species present. In winter, Calanus sinicus exhibited a negative correlation with harmful algal bloom species. Additionally, it was found that both in the coral habitat and surrounding open sea, currents, nutrients, and zooplankton may play crucial roles in determining the spatiotemporal variability in the phytoplankton community structure. Oceanographic monitoring was conducted in the southern basin of the Caspian Sea to evaluate the physical structure of seawater and sea currents. This monitoring aimed to gather data and analyze the characteristics of the seawater, including temperature, salinity, density, and other relevant parameters. Additionally, the monitoring also focused on studying the patterns and dynamics of sea currents in the region. The collected data and analysis from this monitoring period provided valuable insights into the oceanographic conditions of the southern basin of the Caspian Sea. During storm events, a high level of correlation between the current and wind data was observed in the southern basin of the Caspian Sea during the 2017-2018 monitoring period. The measured current data indicated that the predominant directions were north (N) and northwest (NW). It was observed that strong gusts predominantly originated from the north (N) and northwest (NW) directions. Additionally, a smaller portion of the strong gusts was observed to come from the South-Southeast (S-SE) direction. These findings indicate that the prevailing wind patterns during the monitoring period were primarily from the north and northwest, with a lesser contribution from the South-Southeast direction. The current profiles observed during the monitoring period in the southern basin of the Caspian Sea were primarily influenced by the general circulation pattern of the region. This circulation pattern played a significant role in shaping the current profiles observed during the measurements. In terms of the surface current speed, the maximum recorded value was approximately 200 cm/s, which occurred in January. This indicates that there were instances of relatively high-speed currents in the southern basin of the Caspian Sea during that time. The evaluation of inter-annual variability in vertical structure and seawater temperature profiles during the monitoring period confirmed the presence of seasonal stratification in the water column of the southern basin of the Caspian Sea. This stratification was observed to consist of different layers, including the surface mixed layer, thermocline, and deep-water layers. The formation of these layers is indicative of the seasonal variations in temperature and density within the water column. The vertical changes in the water's physical parameters during the monitoring period revealed the formation of stratification in the southern basin of the Caspian Sea. In March, it was observed that the water temperature decreased from 11.5°C at the surface to 8.5°C at a depth of 100 m, indicating the presence of a temperature gradient. As the monitoring progressed into May, the stratification became stronger, with the surface water temperature reaching around 23°C. By August, the surface layer of the sea water experienced a significant increase in temperature, reaching 29°C. These observations highlight the development of stratification and the seasonal variations in water temperature during the monitoring period in spring and summer seasons. The water temperature beneath the thermocline layer, specifically at a depth of 100 meters, was recorded to be around 8-8.5 oC. Additionally, the water salinity in the water column exhibited fluctuations between 12-12.5 (psu). Monitoring and understanding physical properties variations are crucial for assessing the oceanographic conditions and their potential impact on marine ecosystems in the southern basin of the Caspian Sea. In order to address the challenges of low recognition accuracy and the difficulty in effective diagnosis in traditional converter transformer voiceprint fault diagnosis, a novel method is proposed in this article. This approach takes account of the impact of load factors, utilizes a multi-strategy improved Mel-Frequency Spectrum Coefficient (MFCC) for voiceprint signal feature extraction, and combines it with a temporal convolutional network for fault diagnosis. Firstly, it improves the hunter–prey optimizer (HPO) as a parameter optimization algorithm and adopts IHPO combined with variational mode decomposition (VMD) to achieve denoising of voiceprint signals. Secondly, the preprocessed voiceprint signal is combined with Mel filters through the Stockwell transform. To adapt to the stationary characteristics of the voiceprint signal, the processed features undergo further mid-temporal processing, ultimately resulting in the implementation of a multi-strategy improved MFCC for voiceprint signal feature extraction. Simultaneously, load signal segmentation is introduced for the diagnostic intervals, forming a joint feature vector. Finally, by using the Mish activation function to improve the temporal convolutional network, the IHPO-ITCN is proposed to adaptively optimize the size of convolutional kernels and the number of hidden layers and construct a transformer fault diagnosis model. By constructing multiple sets of comparison tests through specific examples and comparing them with the traditional voiceprint diagnostic model, our results show that the model proposed in this paper has a fault recognition accuracy as high as 99%. The recognition accuracy was significantly improved and the training speed also shows superior performance, which can be effectively used in the field of multiple fault diagnosis of converter transformers. Accurate assessment of dough kneading is pivotal in pasta processing, where both under-kneading and over-kneading can detrimentally impact dough quality. This study proposes an innovative approach utilizing a cost-effective current sensor to ascertain the optimal kneading time for dough. Throughout the kneading process, the dough's tensile resistance gradually increases, reflecting the evolution of properties such as the gluten network. This leads to a discernible ascending phase in dough quality, evident through an increase in the load current of the mixing machine, succeeded by a subsequent decline beyond a certain threshold. The identification of this peak point enables the achievement of optimal dough consistency, thereby enhancing the overall quality of both the dough and subsequent pasta products. This paper presents an analytical model for computing and designing a three-phase Amorphous Core Transformer (ACT) with a power rating of 3 kVA, 380/127 V. Based on the main parameters obtained from the analytical model, a Finite Element Method (FEM) was developed to simulate the electromagnetic parameters, such as electric currents, operating voltages, and losses. Finally, an ACT installation was carried out with the steel material of code 2605SA1. The simulation results were compared with the experimental measurements under no-load and full-load operating conditions. Furthermore, the no-load loss of ACT was also compared to that of traditional transformers using silicon steel material. The flow slab design is an important factor in the Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells (PEMFCs) because of its significant impact on the system performance along with the manufacturing cost, as crucial for commercial applications. Therefore, the flow slab with a low-pressure drop, high uniformity, and excellent power performance is a topic of concern. In this study, a new biometric flow slab with an elbow and baffle is designed and compared with the conventional flow slabs under a series of studied cases. The results show that the power performance of the biometric flow slab is better than the conventional types of flow slabs. Here, the power density of 6182.43 W/m2 is obtained by the new biometric type of BFS2 and up to 37.36% of ratio to the type of parallel flow slab. That is to say, the new type of biometric flow slab has effectively avoided the sharp drops issue of the power density appearing in the type of parallel flow slab. Similarly, a lower pressure drop in the biometric type has been observed when compared to the serpentine flow slab. The results have also indicated a positive correlation between the oxygen diffusion flux and the current density distribution. It has also been observed that the more uniform oxygen diffusion flux distribution was supported, the more uniform current density distribution was obtained. The net power performance of the biometric flow slab at a working V cell = 0.4 V has been increased up to 36.98% when compared to the parallel flow slab. Finally, the new type of biometric flow slab BFS2 seemed to be the better choice for its significant overall performance because of the reduced power loss and certified flow visualization. In this article, we prove the various minimality of the product of a 1-codimensional calibrated manifold and a paired calibrated set. This is motivated by the attempt to classify all possible singularities for Almgren minimal sets – Plateau's problem in the setting of sets. The Almgren minimality was introduced by Almgren to modernize Plateau's problem. It gives a very good description of local behavior for soap films. The natural question of whether the product of any two Almgren minimal sets is still minimal is still open, although it seems obvious in intuition. We prove the Almgren minimality for the product of two large classes of Almgren minimal sets – the class of 1-codimensional calibrated manifolds and the class of paired calibrated sets. The general idea is to properly combine different topological conditions (separation and spanning) under different homology groups, to set up a reasonable topological condition and prove the minimality for the product under this condition, which will imply the Almgren minimality. A main difficulty comes from the codimension – algebraic coherences such as multiplicity, separation and orientation do not exist anymore for codimensions larger than 1. An unexpectedly useful thing in the present paper is the flow of the calibrations. N-type calcium channels (CaV2.2) are predominantly localized in presynaptic terminals, and are particularly important for pain transmission in the spinal cord. Furthermore, they have multiple isoforms, conferred by alternatively spliced or cassette exons, which are differentially expressed. Here, we have examined alternatively spliced exon47 variants that encode a long or short C-terminus in human CaV2.2. In the Ensembl database, all short exon47-containing transcripts were associated with the absence of exon18a, therefore, we also examined the effect of inclusion or absence of exon18a, combinatorially with the exon47 splice variants. We found that long exon47, only in the additional presence of exon18a, results in CaV2.2 currents that have a 3.6-fold greater maximum conductance than the other three combinations. In contrast, cell-surface expression of CaV2.2 in both tsA-201 cells and hippocampal neurons is increased ∼4-fold by long exon47, relative to short exon47, in either the presence or the absence of exon18a. This surprising discrepancy between trafficking and function indicates that cell-surface expression is enhanced by long exon47, independently of exon18a. However, in the presence of long exon47, exon18a mediates an additional permissive effect on CaV2.2 gating. We also investigated the single-nucleotide polymorphism in exon47 that has been linked to schizophrenia and Parkinson's disease, which we found is only non-synonymous in the short exon47 C-terminal isoform, resulting in two minor alleles. This study highlights the importance of investigating the combinatorial effects of exon inclusion, rather than each in isolation, in order to increase our understanding of calcium channel function.
