This study examines the nature of Minahasa traditional marriage in the perspective of Protestant Christian beliefs, describing the acculturation process between local traditions and religious teachings. The study shows that Minahasa traditional marriage has undergone significant transformation with the inclusion of Protestant Christian influences, creating a unique synthesis between traditional and spiritual values. The role of family and community in marriage remains significant but has undergone reinterpretation, encompassing aspects of spiritual and material support. Traditional concepts such as 'mapalus' (gotong royong) took on a new dimension in the church context. The responsibilities of husband and wife have also shifted towards a more egalitarian direction, although some traditional aspects remain.In conclusion, Minahasa traditional marriage in a Protestant Christian perspective reflects the harmonization between cultural heritage and religious beliefs, showing how tradition and modernity can go hand in hand. This study provides valuable insights into the dynamics of culture and religion in Indonesia, and highlights the importance of an ongoing dialogue between customary traditions and religious teachings in the context of social change. The pan teacher's ethics phenomenon is inevitable, natural and rational. It is therefore a reasonable choice of guiding and correcting the phenomenon by the construction of teacher's professional ethics. The pan teacher's ethics phenomenon includes three manifestations: taking private morality, public morality and illegal events as teacher's ethics. The mechanism of this phenomenon is driven by the refraction effect, the ripple effect and the osmosis effect. In the new era, there are three ways ahead to correct the pan teacher's ethics phenomenon in the construction of teacher's professional ethics: shaping teacher's professional moral personality to enhance the core influence of teacher's ethics; training teacher's professional moral conduct so as to enhance the radiation power of teacher's virtue; cultivating teacher's professional moral culture to lift the cultural acculturation of teacher's ethics. This article discusses cultural acculturation related to Palembang songket fabric. The study reveals how Palembang songket cloth experiences cultural acculturation through interaction with various elements of local, regional, and global culture. Through this study, the authors identified various factors that influence acculturation of songket fabric, such as migration, trade, and cultural interaction. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. Qualitative approaches are often used in cultural studies to understand and analyze acculturation processes, cultural interactions, and the role of songket cloth in Palembang society. Qualitative research methods involve data collection through observation, interviews, and text analysis, as well as in-depth interpretation to understand complex cultural phenomena. The results of the study are in the context of acculturation; Palembang songket cloth has experienced the influence of Malay, Chinese, Arab, and Indian cultures, which is reflected in the patterns and motifs that exist on songket cloth. In addition, the acculturation of Palembang songket fabric culture also reflects adaptation to global market trends and demands. This article contributes to an understanding of how cultural acculturation can shape and influence a region’s distinctive textile traditions, with a case study of Palembang songket fabric as a relevant example. The establishment of Indonesian schools abroad is a mandate that must be fulfilled by Indonesian representatives abroad, including Sekolah Indonesia Den-Haag, the Netherlands. Indonesian schools have the responsibility of organising education with the distinctive character of Indonesian society with great challenges in the form of differences in culture, character, and values. This research aims to explain how the process of Islamic education at the Indonesian School in the Netherlands amidst these cultural and value differences. This research is a field research with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation and then analysed using interactive analysis. The results showed de facto cultural differences between the people of Indonesia and The Netherlands such as eating habits and religion. The cultural contestation that occurs in Indonesian schools in The Netherlands found a "win win solution", namely cultural acculturation where different cultures blend together without leaving their distinctive characteristics. Islamic education is implemented by teaching Islamic values and Indonesian wisdom such as moderation, tolerance, courtesy, and brotherhood. The cultivation of these values is done through habituation and social religious activities in school activities. Islamic education at Sekolah Indonesia Den-Haag is able to preserve Islamic and Indonesian values while respecting the culture of the people of Den-Haag.

Diversity in diversity, but still one, has become the founding oath of the Indonesian nation so it must be avoided from cracks, let alone riots triggered by weak cultural acculturation. This study aims to describe the forms, processes, and communication strategies of immigrant communities who are culturally acculturated with indigenous people in Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. With a qualitative approach, this type of research is a document study on acculturation of multicultural cultures and a study of centralized interviews with informants from ethnic groups in Central Sulawesi Province, namely Javanese, Kaili, Touna, Toli-toli, and Bugis. For this reason, the source of data is in the form of text documents as evidence of published cultural acculturation, as well as information from the interview process. Simultaneously with data collection, content analysis was carried out on verbal data presented in a descriptive-qualitative manner. The results showed that the cultural acculturation of ethnic-ethnic multicultural communities in Central Sulawesi Province took the form of social gatherings (family gatherings, clan gatherings, and cultural arts performances) with a family communication process (multilingual, namely Indonesian and regional languages, as well as media) that utilized strategies cross-promotional communication (introduction, engagement, and marriage). Thus it can be concluded that acculturation of multicultural family culture in Central Sulawesi Province can be carried out by forming a new (multicultural) family. This article aims to describe the pattern of changes in the habits of wedding parties carried out by the Bolaang Mongondow community. The method used in this study is a qualitative method using an empirical sociological approach. The celebration of the wedding party as a tradition that grows and develops in the community must be in line with Islamic law and the norms in the community. Although currently, its implementation is experiencing obstacles due to cultural acculturation, so it will be difficult to distinguish between right and wrong. From the observations, it is known that the implementation of the wedding party in Bolaang Mongondow is indicated to be forced (lavishly) even though the cost of the wedding party is beyond the ability of the person who carries it out.

Gembrung music is a traditional Islamic art that has developed a lot in Java. Its existence indicates a da'wah process in order to convey the messages of Islamic teachings in Java. The intersection of Muslim and Javanese groups creates a form of cultural acculturation, each of which represents two acculturated cultures. By using a qualitative methodology, the research focus is on literature and gembrung in Java, the aim of this study is to find the process of acculturation of the traditional Gembrung musical instrument. Where in Gembrung art it is found as a communication tool in preaching as well as a process of acculturation of music. Among them, several elements of gembrung music adopted Javanese music, including kenong and gong which were replaced with tambourines, which are musical instruments made of wood and goat skin. In addition to the form of abolition or omission, there is also musical pluralism, where one musical instrument can be accepted by another group but still places one musical instrument that represents each acculturation group. Among those that must still be included are drums as a representation of Java, and also tambourines as a representation of Islam-Arabism. What's interesting is that each musical instrument which is a cultural representation becomes the central determinant of other musical elements. The acculturation of this musical element has led to cultural acceptance by the Javanese people of the Gembrung art. Likewise, there is acceptance of Muslim groups as a representation of Islamic music.

Language and identity are two interrelated things. As a means of active communication, language is used in the daily life of mankind, which functions and plays an active role in the process of cultural preservation in an area. This study aims to find out how the use of Javanese in the coastal area of Madura Island is mainly in the three villages that are the main research objects, namely the villages of Tajungan, Kauman, and Junganyar in the Kamal and Socah sub-districts, Bangkalan Regency, East Java Province. This research is in the form of descriptive qualitative research using Yin's research method based on 5 stages of research with a sociolinguistic theory approach that examines the concept of bilingualism applied in an area or community in the communication process. The results of the study revealed that 9 points of findings were related and able to answer the formulation of the problem related to the geographical factors of the border area of the three research villages, as well as the process and impact of cultural acculturation which were described in detail in the discussion points and conclusions of this study. This study aims to analyze the role of increasing intelligence in an effort to prevent disharmony between religion and local culture. The concepts used in this research are acculturation, religion, culture, and religion as a cultural system. This research uses qualitative research with a case study approach. Data was collected through interviews, literature study and documentation. The data analysis technique uses Miles and Hubberman analysis techniques combined with Intelligence analysis techniques. Abstract Migrating is defined as a person's journey to another area to achieve the desired goal and stay, In the realm of education, many youths decide to go to other areas to get a good education and under expectations for the next life. The sophistication of today's technology makes migrating not a complicated thing to be doing in the community, especially the youth in taking education in place of choice. Based on the phenomena that occur to the lives of teenagers to study, the formulation of the research problem is planned, how students are social relations with the people of Jogja while in overseas land within the scope of the organization, this aims to find the strategy of student organizations of social life in Jogja. The research method is qualitative with a descriptive approach, data sources are Gayo students who are active in ethnic-based student organization activities in Jogja, data collection techniques are interview, observation, and documentation methods. The research results show that ethnic-based student organizations, IMAGAYO and IPEMAHLUTYO, carry out various activities such as the Saman and Guel dance as a form of interaction with the people of Jogja and adapt themselves by following the habits, behaviour patterns and Javanese culture as the majority culture in Jogja. ------- Abstrak Merantau diartikan sebagai perjalanan seseorang ke daerah lain guna mencapai tujuan yang diinginkan dan menetap sementara, dalam ranah pendidikan banyak pemuda yang memutuskan untuk pergi ke daerah lain guna mendapatkan pendidikan yang baik dan sesuai dengan harapan untuk kehidupan selanjutnya. Kecanggihan teknologi saat ini menjadikan merantau bukan hal yang rumit untuk dilakukan oleh masyarakat khususnya kaum pemuda dalam menempuh pendidikan di tempat-tempat pilihan. Berdasarkan fenomena yang terjadi dalam kehidupan para remaja untuk menempuh studi, maka disusun rumusan masalah penelitian yaitu bagaimana hubungan sosial mahasiswa dengan masyarakat Jogja selama berada di tanah rantau dalam lingkup organisasi, hal ini bertujuan untuk menemukan strategi organisasi mahasiswa dalam kehidupan sosial di Jogja. Metode penelitian yaitu kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, sumber data adalah para mahasiswa Gayo yang aktif dalam kegiatan organisasi kemahasiswaan berbasis etnik di Jogja, teknik pengumpulan data yaitu metode wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Secara keseluruhan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa organisasi mahasiswa berbasis etnik yaitu IMAGAYO dan IPEMAHLUTYO melakukan berbagai kegiatan seperti tari Saman dan Guel sebagai salah satu bentuk interaksi terhadap masyarakat Jogja dan menyesuaikan diri dengan cara mengikuti kebiasaan, pola tingkah laku dan budaya Jawa sebagai budaya mayoritas di Jogja.

The study aimed to determine: (1) tourism carrying capacity development in Goa China Beach (2) opportunities and challenges in developing Goa China (China Cave) Beach to improve the community's economy (3) cultural acculturation in communities around the coast of Goa China. Survey was use as main data collecting method in this research, followed by interview, observation and documentation. The results indicated that the beach carrying capacity is in a positive and strong condition. The attraction of the Goa China (China Cave) Beach is the natural beauty and myths that are believed by the community, causing an increase in the number of visitors on this beach compared to other beaches, especially at weekends.

This study aims to determine the Islamic medicine dimension which is integrated with the local medicine. The dimensions are impor- tant to hnow because they are parts of the human health sciences that are useful for the present. The data come from the lontara manuscriptof Inhoud Lontara’ No. 125 which contains 23 types of diseases and their treatment. This study uses a philological and anthropological approach. The findings illustrate that there are two medicine dimensions. Those are the medicine dimensions through gau-gauheng, and the medicine dimensions related to taneng-taneng pabbura. However, hnowledge of local medicine related to gau-gauheng is more lihely to be integrated with Islamic medicine. The term gau-gauheng refers to the meaning of “certain treatments”. Meanwhile, the term taneng-taneng pabbura refers to the meaning of “plants containing medical elements”. The integration of Islamic culture in the local Bugis culture is strongly influenced by the Islamization process in Bone. The identity of each culture continues to transform so cultural acculturation occurs. Thus, the integration of medical science shows the efforts of the Bugis people in Bone to treat and main- tain human health. The two concepts have complemented each other and have gone hand in hand for a long time before health and medical science progressed and developed today. Various information in the Bugis lontara manuscripthas carried the basics of natural care and treatment and has contributed to the realization of human health.

Acculturation is a form of cultural change caused by contact or cultural groups, which emphasizes the acceptance of new cultural patterns and characteristics of indigenous peoples by minority groups. The acculturation of Islamic culture and local culture in Mambabei Ana' culture gave birth to various social values ​​in the social interactions of the community. Mambabei Ana' culture is an example of associative social interaction that leads to unity and cooperation in society. The research method used in this thesis is descriptive qualitative research. The data in this study were obtained from primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews and documentation, equipped with technical data analysis using data reduction, presentation and verification. The results of this study indicate that: 1) The implementation of the Mambabei Ana' culture in Uhaidao Village, Aralle District, Mamasa Regency is carried out with several ceremonial activities through three stages, namely the preparation stage (mappaissang, mokaju, ma'baje/sokko, and ma'bungkungkus); implementation stage (pegereang beke, pegereang manu, pambeengang sanga, and pa'bacaang barazanji); and the closing stage (ma'tarakang, and pambacaang prayer). 2) There are several social values ​​that exist in the acculturation of Mambabei Ana' culture, Uhaidao Village, Aralle District, Mamasa Regency, namely mutual cooperation, mutual assistance, togetherness, compassion, unity and praying for each other. 3) The implications of social education in acculturating Mambaaei Ana' culture, Uhaidao Village, Aralle District, Mamasa Regency, namely education on social awareness, social harmony,

It includes prenatal ceremonies (tingkeban and pitonan), birth ceremonies (azan, iqomah, and aqiqoh), wedding ceremonies (prayers, greetings, and shake hands greetings), death ceremonies (accompany of the body, traditional prayer together, and haul).

This paper investigates international students' acculturation, an important aspect for universities to consider when they try to develop a positive loyal customer relationship with international students. The paper presents the influences of social media usage on international students' acculturation process in both psychological and behavioural aspects, and whether international students' acculturation predicts students' academic achievement, perceived value and university loyalty. Self-identification is examined for its moderating effect between social media usage and Chinese international students' acculturation. This study collected samples from Chinese international students studying in UK universities. The results find that Chinese international students' psychological acculturation to the host culture has no significant relationship with their academic achievement, but their strong self-identification can help with their host culture acculturation. This study makes contributions in current acculturation research and managerial practice for universities which target international markets. • Social media impacts on Chinese international students' acculturation in the UK. • Self-identification and social media usage interact and has its significant impact on students' acculturation. • Academic achievement has little to do with their psychological host culture acculturation. • Chinese international students' academic achievements lead to their perceived university value and university loyalty. • Managerial implications are recommended towards Chinese international students as target market. Kampong Jayengan was formed in the early 19th century, when the royal family asked the jewelers from Martapura to come to Surakarta. Craftsmen work with ethnic Chinese gold entrepreneurs in making jewelry for the royal family. They settled and married with local residents, so that cultural events took place such as the distribution of ‘Samin’ porridge and the "Jarwana" cultural parade. The Surakarta government established Jayengan as a creative economy industrial area. Constraints that occur: lack of tourism promotion, cultural events only once a year, lack of availability of raw materials, lack of internal support, competition with other industries. The purpose of the research is to make the strategy of tourism development. The study was conducted questionnaires to identify activities, authentic values and tourist infrastructure. The identification results are made into a questionnaire variable and then processed into an External Internal Matrix (IE). IE Matrix Jayengan readiness in cell I. It can be concluded that the right strategy is Grow and Build with the development of tourist activities, authentic values and the construction of tourist infrastructure. Outcome of this study provide direction in developing strategies for urban villages as tourist destination.
