The objective of this research is to describe the meanings and practices from the values and principles that emerge during the humanized care provided by the surgical team to the geriatric patient scheduled for surgery. Through the qualitative and interpretive paradigm, and from an objectivist and methodological epistemic framework, the perception existing among surgeons on how humanized care should be towards the elderly is reflected. Ten surgeons were interviewed through semi-structured sessions, and the analysis was carried out using the matrix of categories with the support of the ATLAS Ti 8.0 ® program. The perception of surgeons regarding humanized care considers that care is strengthened during the higher education they receive at the university and is fortified through the norms that govern the profession, in the sense of always aiming for the well-being and respect for the dignity of patients, especially the most vulnerable. Articulando la ética del cuidado y el ciberfeminismo, en este artículo se analiza cómo han cambiado los imaginarios sobre el aborto y el acceso al mismo en la Sierra central del Ecuador. Para ello se emplea una metodología cualitativa a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas a un grupo de jóvenes lideresas indígenas en la provincia de Chimborazo. En dicha provincia el aborto ha ido dejando poco a poco de ser un tema latente y silenciado en las agendas comunitarias, para convertirse en parte de las conversaciones de los grupos de mujeres. Se ilustra cómo la influencia de la cuarta ola del feminismo y del movimiento Marea Verde, ligada al uso de las redes sociales, ha permeado ciertos discursos comunitarios y ha incidido en la posibilidad de que las jóvenes indígenas de esta provincia accedan a información y puedan ejercer, en compañía de otras mujeres, su derecho al aborto. En este sentido, se concluye que el uso de las redes sociales online promueve el tejido de redes offline, lo cual permite a las mujeres, más allá de su ubicación geográfica, tener más acceso a información y, por tanto, más posibilidad de ejercer sus derechos sexuales y reproductivos.

O presente artigo objetiva compreender a relação entre a formação profissional em enfermagem e o corpo, atentando para o modo como as práticas das(os) enfermeiras(os) integram um processo de aprendizado no qual o corpo é o elemento central. Para tal, realizamos uma etnografia com estudantes e professores da faculdade de enfermagem de uma universidade pública mineira. O estudo permitiu que compreendêssemos como a formação em enfermagem envolvia um processo de aquisição de posturas, gestos e movimentos específicos, cujo aprendizado se concretizava de modo efetivo através do engajamento prático das estudantes nos ambientes de cuidado e do constante treinamento das práticas características da profissão. As estudantes eram guiadas pelas professoras que, com corpos já dotados destas habilidades, eram as responsáveis pela condução e pela estruturação de um ambiente físico, guiando-os na atenção à postura e no controle dos gestos e movimentos.

Articulating the ethics of care and cyberfeminism, this article analyzes how imaginaries about abortion and access to abortion have changed in the central highlands of Ecuador. For this purpose, a qualitative methodology is used through semi-structured interviews with a group of young Indigenous women leaders in the province of Chimborazo. In this province, abortion has gradually ceased to be a latent and silenced issue in community agendas and has become part of the conversations of women’s groups. The article illustrates how the influence of the fourth wave of feminism and the Green Wave movement, linked to the use of social networks, has permeated certain community discourses and has influenced the possibility for young Indigenous women in this province to access information and to exercise, in the company of other women, their right to abortion. In this sense, it is concluded that the use of online social networks promotes the weaving of offline networks, which allows women, beyond their geographical location, to have more access to information and, therefore, more possibility of exercising their sexual and reproductive rights. The article explores the anthropological and philosophical causes of the current ecological crisis. It points out that a fundamental cause for current ecological crisis is the modern dualism that contrasts nature and history. Through various processes of modernity such as the consolidation of historicity together with the idea of progress, changes in the perception of time, the separation of space and time, the dissociation of natural history from total history, and the solipsistic dualism of Cartesianism, all contribute to constitute modernity as dissociation and "history" as the predominant epistemological matrix both for thinking about reality and for intervening in it. As a way of overcoming this overvaluation of history in recent decades, a new principle emerges, the "principle of care" for the Earth together with intragenerational and intergenerational responsibility as the only plausible ways to comprehensively address the serious ecological crisis affecting us. This new ethic of care is inseparable from strictly theological reasons that call for safeguarding the Earth as the dwelling place of the Logos. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper joins the conversation around care and maintenance through an account of affects of care in architecture. Affect and its binding power allows us to trace how care releases bodies, including the architectural body, into performative potentials – affect produced, exchanged and accumulated in care work. We present an empirical study across two universities (architecture studios) that provide insights into the complexities of caring and facilitating care by listening in to the multiple care-taking voices and care-engagements, within the context of COVID-19. We draw out the intimacies or bindings that are generated by and through such care acts in three interrelated ways: affective-material tinkering, stuttering temporalities and promise of care and its loss. In conclusion, we suggest how caring for a building is far from uniform and offer some future direction as to how an affects of care account can be helpful in studying diverse modes of (being in) the world of care in/through the built environment. This article explores Peru's transition towards community mental health from 1980 to 2022. Using an approach from medical anthropology and related social sciences, we argue that the community mental health reform in Peru has been influenced and shaped by multiple sociohistorical and political processes such as the period of internal armed conflict, economic crises, and the adoption of neoliberal policies. This article is based on an analysis of the national guidelines and reports related to mental health, participant observation in a Community Mental Health Center and with residents of a district of Lima, and interviews with citizens, health providers, and mental health activists. The analysis of the national mental health guidelines shows how sociohistorical processes influence mental health policies. The ethnographic work complicates citizens' varying perceptions of the community mental health model and the process of psychiatric deinstitutionalization. Now that mental health care takes place in the community, our ethnographic analysis points to changes in different notions of madness, care, and mental health and illness. The mental health reform also generates opportunities, such as mental health activism and the potential inclusion of community actors, as well as the inclusion of people with mental health problems in the elaboration of their diagnoses and treatments. The article presents a general, though not exhaustive, overview of the notion of care and its presence and relevance in gender historiography, examining how historical research can inform and shape new discussions. A bibliographic and narrative review methodology is used, comparing selected studies based on their contributions and scope. Given that care is a transdisciplinary issue with significant heuristic potential, both historical topics and those from other branches of the humanities and social sciences are considered. Care is understood here both as an affective and a labor disposition, and it is from these dimensions that the main debates and problems are presented, focusing specifically on those that have had the greatest presence in gender and history studies: domestic work, feminized professions that care for others, affective communities, and maternal love. In the context of the current care crisis, it is concluded that the topic needs to be viewed broadly and its contributions revalued from a critical gender theory perspective, also considering a historiographic perspective sensitive to contexts and capable of interpretive flexibility. The article focuses on the main academic discussions held in North America and European countries, aiming to contribute to understanding the theoretical and applied scope of care and acknowledging that there is still much ground to cover. This article explores how and by what means an emergent health commons is (re)produced in practice. Drawing on recent studies that consider the materiality of citizens' struggles over the commons, it adopts a more-than-human approach to commoning. Employing ethnographic research on a communal healthcare cooperative in a region of the Netherlands that faces depopulation and institutional failure, I argue that the durability of an emergent health commons is a continuous and contested achievement involving infrastructuring. To articulate the ongoing infrastructural work needed to create and maintain the commons, I employ insights from Maintenance and Repair Studies that explore maintenance as a practice of material care. By exploring the care for infrastructure ethnographically, I specify which aspects of the community healthcare practice, precisely, are maintained in common, and for whom. My analysis reveals that commoning 'opens up' new ways of organizing health and existing in common, but may not always sustain radical openness when the social arrangements of the commons transform into steel and bricks. The maintainability of health in common, I suggest, hinges as much on nurturing 'social' bonds as on how such bonds are variously infrastructured. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

As bats adapt to anthropogenic environmental change they increasingly interact with humans and inhabit human infrastructure. This article addresses the challenge of learning to live with synanthropic bats. Building on ideas from multispecies studies, we explore the practices and accommodations that coproduce meaningful human-bat cohabitation in domestic space. Drawing on qualitative research conducted in the Netherlands, we find that domestic space is remade in small but significant ways in response to bats. The aim of our interviewees is to ensure minimal interference between human and bat domestic geographies: intimacy can be spatialized at the domestic scale but is best done in ways that maintain degrees of tolerance. Rather than help bats in general, much care-work centres around supporting the inter-generational reproductive work of bats.This sequential sense of ethical time certainly shifts conservation from a done to mode, and recasts home-dwellers as participants in the story of bat survival and intergenerational nourishment. O presente relato de experiência objetiva apresentar o dispositivo Rua na Rede, criado pela equipe de Consultório na Rua (eCR) de Florianópolis, SC , como estratégia de construção da integralidade e longitudinalidade do cuidado do usuário da eCR, especialmente no momento de internação hospitalar e pós-alta. Para isso, analisou-se a experiência vivida pelos autores, operando o dispositivo por meio do diário de campo e em diálogo com a literatura científica sobre o tema. O relato aponta que o Rua na Rede é orientado pelo paradigma da redução de danos e enfrenta um importante desafio para o Sistema Único de Saúde: a articulação entre Atenção Básica e atenção hospitalar, ponto nodal para a integralidade e a longitudinalidade do cuidado da pessoa em situação de rua.

RESUMO OBJETIVO: Compreender as percepções e práticas de profissionais de saúde no contexto da oferta de profilaxia pré-exposição ao HIV (PrEP) entre adolescentes e jovens gays e trans. MÉTODOS: Trata-se de pesquisa qualitativa desenvolvida como parte do estudo PrEP1519, realizada entre 2018 e 2021, com o objetivo de analisar a efetividade de PrEP entre adolescentes e jovens. Os dados foram produzidos de julho de 2020 a fevereiro de 2021 no sítio de São Paulo, combinando técnicas de observação-participante e entrevistas semiestruturadas. O processo analítico envolveu imersão no material empírico, codificação e categorização, com apoio do software NVivo®. A interpretação seguiu o princípio hermenêutico-dialético e teve como horizonte o conceito de cuidado inserido nas práticas de saúde. RESULTADOS: A construção do vínculo de confiança foi informada por práticas que reconheciam a singularidade dos/as adolescentes/jovens e suas demandas e buscavam impulsionar sua autonomia. A escuta sensível e solidária foi apontada como uma prática de acolhimento propulsora de ações de cuidado. Atitudes acolhedoras e suporte frente a situações de estigma e violências, relacionadas ou não ao uso de PrEP, convergiram para o reconhecimento da necessidade de apoio no desenvolvimento de autonomia para a prevenção entre adolescentes e jovens. O uso de linguagem próxima do cotidiano favoreceu a construção de relações de confiança, influenciando positivamente o desenvolvimento da autonomia e a adesão a PrEP. A tensão entre êxito técnico e sucesso prático foi observada na busca idealizada pela normatividade adultocêntrica em contraposição à intersubjetividade. CONCLUSÃO: As percepções e práticas dos/as profissionais de saúde se mostram coerentes com o conceito de cuidado, pois compreendem ações além dos saberes técnicos e reconhecem os contextos que aumentam a vulnerabilidade dos/as adolescentes e jovens ao HIV.

Resumo Envelhecer faz parte da vida e devemos nos preparar para essa etapa, que requer cuidados específicos. Segundo o IBGE (2018) estima-se que até 2060 um quarto da população brasileira tenha mais de 65 anos, isso se deve, à maior expectativa de vida gerada pela melhoria das condições sociais e de saúde. Alguns idosos e suas famílias não têm condições de suprir os cuidados específicos dessa etapa e buscam em instituições especializadas esse atendimento. Este relato de experiência é sobre uma intervenção realizada em uma Casa de Repouso em Campinas/SP, com o objetivo de melhorar a qualidade de vida das idosas residentes e compreender as relações interpessoais com a equipe de profissionais. Foram realizados encontros, abordando diversos temas, por meio de dinâmicas de grupo. Conclui-se que ocorreram alterações na dinâmica da ILPI, bem como nos relacionamentos entre as próprias moradoras e delas com a equipe de profissionais, e vice-versa. A contribuição para um olhar mais cuidadoso para com os idosos e os profissionais de ILPI inclui estimular a sociedade e a família a refletirem qual o papel daquele idoso e daquele profissional que está ali para cuidar do outro, buscando reforçar os laços de convivência entre todos.

Neste texto discutimos a produção de redes de saúde como estratégia de enfrentamento ao intolerável da retirada de bebês, mais especificamente daquelas mulheres em situação de rua e/ou usuárias de drogas, que passam a ter seus direitos cerceados, como o de ver ou serem informadas do paradeiro institucional de seus filhos. Visando compreender tal operação, que chamamos de sequestro, traçamos, por meio de entrevistas, os itinerários de mulheres usuárias de drogas que lutam para reaver ou reconstruir a história de seus filhos, bem como as ações de profissionais que construíram estratégias de enfrentamento destas violações. Tomando como fio condutor duas histórias que se entrecruzam, na cidade de Belo Horizonte, a de uma mãe e a de uma médica pediatra, evidenciamos: o desmentido como modo de operar o sequestro e a configuração de “redes vivas” como caminho do cuidado em resposta à “rede fria” da violência de estado.

Resumen: Las patologías respiratorias son una causa importante de morbimortalidad. El cáncer de pulmón representa la primera causa de cáncer y de mortalidad por cáncer en el mundo. A nivel mundial, la enfermedad pulmonar obstructiva crónica (EPOC) es la tercera causa de muerte, después de las enfermedades cardiovasculares y neoplásicas. La enfermedad pulmonar intersticial fibrosante ha mantenido un alza progresiva de incidencia, con una alta mortalidad. Es así como los cuidados paliativos respiratorios han adquirido relevancia en esta área de la medicina, mejorando no sólo la calidad de vida, sino además como es el caso del cáncer de pulmón, la sobrevida. El objetivo de este trabajo es evidenciar la necesidad de los cuidados paliativos respiratorios en patologías pulmonares tanto oncológicas como no oncológicas, permitiendo una derivación temprana y más oportuna para nuestros pacientes. Abstract: Respiratory illnesses are an important cause of morbidity and mortality. Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer and the leading cause of cancer mortality. Worldwide, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is the third leading cause of death, after cardiovascular and neoplastic diseases. Fibrosing interstitial lung disease has maintained a progressive increase in incidence, with high mortality. This is how respiratory palliative care has acquired relevance in this area of medicine, improving not only quality of life, but also, as is the case with lung cancer, survival. The aim of this article is to demonstrate the need for respiratory palliative care in cancer and non-cancer lung disease, allowing for an earlier and more timely referral for our patients.

El mundo contemporáneo ha avanzado, aunque parcialmente, en lo que se refiere al empoderamiento de la mujer, a la par que se ha estancado en la convergencia de los niveles de derechos entre hombres y mujeres. El problema se ha agravado especialmente en las zonas en desarrollo del mundo. Al ser de naturaleza tradicional y patriarcal, la actividad de las mujeres se ha visto limitada a las tareas del hogar que entran en el ámbito de la economía del cuidado. Últimamente, las mujeres han estado haciendo todo lo posible para participar en la economía salarial con el fin de obtener un ingreso independiente. El presente estudio es un intento de analizar el potencial de la economía informal del cuidado como el canal más accesible para que las mujeres sin educación y sin cualificación encuentren un empleo remunerado. El estudio confirma la limitada capacidad de las economías en desarrollo para absorber la educación y las competencias, y crear puestos de trabajo de manera simultánea. El estudio valida aún más el papel positivo y significativo de la economía informal del cuidado en la oferta de empleo a las mujeres, mejorando sus perspectivas y resultados en el curso de la vida. El estudio concluye con algunas recomendaciones de política para permitir que la economía informal del cuidado exista como un camino hacia el mercado laboral formal para las mujeres en el mundo en desarrollo.

No presente artigo, a discussão parte de dados produzidos em uma pesquisa de doutoramento. Buscou-se uma etnografia descolonizadora, estabelecem-se conversas com seis mulheres do quilombo Fazenda Santa Cruz, localizada na região do Alto Jequitinhonha, no município do Serro, em Minas Gerais. Apoia-se em autoras do pensamento feminista negro e decolonial, entre elas Patricia Collins (2016), Curriel (2014), Angela Davis (2016), bell hooks (2018), Gonzalez (1981, 1984), Beatriz Nascimento (1974) e Oyeronke Oyewumi (2010). Observou-se as práticas educativas relacionadas a cuidado, que atravessam as práticas culturais desenvolvidas por elas, ocorrendo de forma compartilhada por meio de um “cuidado familiar” anunciado pela territorialidade.

Introduction: Learning encompasses both traditional and active methodologies, with active methods involving students taking on an engaged role and actively participating in class discussions. This study aims to compare the impact of 2 learning methods, team-based learning (TBL) and seminar-based learning (SBL), on nursing students' knowledge of caring for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) at the Islamic Azad University, Mahabad Branch. Methods: This semi-experimental study involved 60 nursing students divided into 2 groups. The TBL group received educational pamphlets 7 days before the workshop and participated in an Individual Readiness Assurance Test followed by a Team Readiness Assurance Test. The SBL group engaged in seminar presentations and discussions. Data were collected using a questionnaire with 2 sections: demographic information and a 24-question section on COPD care, with 20 questions approved after review by professors. Reliability was confirmed with a Cronbach's alpha of 0.86. Statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS 16 software. Results: Pre-intervention, both groups had comparable knowledge levels. Post-intervention, the TBL group showed significantly higher knowledge levels than the SBL group. However, 1 month later, both methods had similar effects on long-term learning. Conclusion: The TBL method was more effective than SBL in improving short-term knowledge of COPD care among nursing students, although both methods were effective for long-term learning. This study underscores the importance of active learning methodologies in nursing education. Resumen: Introducción: El aprendizaje abarca tanto metodologías tradicionales como activas, siendo los métodos activos aquellos en los que los estudiantes asumen un papel comprometido y participan activamente en las discusiones en clase. Este estudio tiene como objetivo comparar el impacto de dos métodos de aprendizaje, Aprendizaje Basado en Equipos (TBL) y Aprendizaje Basado en Seminarios (SBL), en el conocimiento de los estudiantes de enfermería sobre el cuidado de pacientes con Enfermedad Pulmonar Obstructiva Crónica (EPOC) en la Universidad Islámica Azad, Filial de Mahabad. Métodos: Este estudio semexperimental involucró a 60 estudiantes de enfermería divididos en dos grupos. El grupo TBL recibió folletos educativos 7 días antes del taller y participó en una Prueba de Garantía de Preparación Individual (IRAT) seguida de una Prueba de Garantía de Preparación de Equipo (T-RAT). El grupo SBL participó en presentaciones y discusiones de seminarios. Se recopilaron datos utilizando un cuestionario con dos secciones: información demográfica y una sección de 24 preguntas sobre el cuidado de la EPOC, con 20 preguntas aprobadas después de revisión por profesores. Se confirmó la fiabilidad con un alfa de Cronbach de 0.86. El análisis estadístico se realizó utilizando el software SPSS 16. Resultados: Antes de la intervención, ambos grupos tenían niveles de conocimiento comparables. Después de la intervención, el grupo TBL mostró niveles de conocimiento significativamente más altos que el grupo SBL. Sin embargo, un mes después, ambos métodos tuvieron efectos similares en el aprendizaje a largo plazo. Conclusión: El método TBL fue más efectivo que el SBL para mejorar el conocimiento a corto plazo sobre el cuidado de la EPOC entre los estudiantes de enfermería, aunque ambos métodos fueron efectivos para el aprendizaje a largo plazo. Este estudio enfatiza la importancia de las metodologías de aprendizaje activo en la educación en enfermería.

The short-form video-sharing app TikTok is the fastest growing social media platform globally, particularly among young people, and the app is attracting significant academic interest. However, the voices of young people have been mostly absent from these debates. This article offers a qualitative study of how young people are using TikTok to make care-full digital worlds in and around Sydney, Australia, drawing on interviews with sixteen young people and bringing together literatures on geographies of care, digital geographies and TikTok practices. Research participants identified care-related themes in these interviews, including that they enjoyed using the app to nurture relationships, found that it facilitated greater awareness of their relative privilege, and provided support and opportunities to express themselves. These practices proved important forms of connection and self-care during COVID-19-related periods of physical isolation and disruption to everyday routines. But a lack of care was also evident, from other users and the app itself, suggesting tensions in how care is negotiated in this digital space. Young people articulated structural problems with the app and offered constructive remedies that are practical and feasible. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The policy of mass incarceration is a reality that has been increasingly reiterated. When it comes to female incarceration, specifically, Brazil ranks third in the world. In this work, we analyze, based on cartographic research, how the punitive system of deprivation and restriction of freedom affects women who are subject to imprisonment and also how it affects their family support networks. Based on what emerged from work carried out in a women's prison unit in Rio de Janeiro, through discussion groups with female prisoners, we wrote considerations about what they brought regarding the affections constructed and reconstructed inside and outside the prison, generally in the form of family ties. In this sense, based on the narratives of these women, we seek to give visibility to the formation and maintenance of emotional relationships as an essential means of preserving their lives. Permeated by anguish, violations, and latent faults of deprivation or restriction of freedom, these intra and extramural relationships are pointed out as survival strategies and as lines of escape, a possibility of creating fissures in the rigid prison institution, as well as of being in prison in other ways. This article proposes to investigate care and control in the relationship between adult and child, considering the crossings of the time and the alterity in the contemporary Western scenario. To make this investigation viable, the Laplanchean perspective is evoked in dialogue with other authors, using the psychoanalytic research method. In accordance with this perspective, the child is, from the beginning, confronted by an adult sexual world full of meanings and messages that exceed its capacities for apprehension and control. The destinations for the drive that the child builds are based on this encounter and on the care that the adult offers it. It is considered that the exercise of care and the exercise of control, which is related to it, presuppose a relationship model based on the otherness. In addition, the care demands a complex and indeterminate time from the adult to elaborate the affections produced by the encounter with the child. However, some aspects of the contemporaneity, such as the individualism and the suppression of the temporal dimension, seem to go against the grain of the time and the alteritarian bonds demanded by this practice. Faced with this apparent "disagreement" between the care that children need and certain characteristics of contemporaneity, it is proposed to discuss possible modalities of control in the adult-child relationship that can be disarticulated from the care and put at the service of the maintaining a contemporary "civilized" sexual morality. The objective of the present study is to show how care for the elderly appears witnessed and widely developed in Athenian tragedy, specifically in two plays by Sophocles: Antigone and Oedipus at Colonus. Added to this is the exposition of the prominent role that women played in everything related to this care, as well as that which was provided to the dead. Hence, special emphasis is placed on the fact that much of what is related to funeral rites, in ancient Greece, was reserved for women and prohibited for men. Furthermore, the importance that senescence has in the work of Sophocles is detailed, exemplified in the dramatic weight of the tragic chorus, made up, uniquely and exclusively, of elderly people. This work, therefore, highlights the preponderant role that, in care and attention to dependency, played two of the marginalized sectors in Athenian society, such as women and the elderly. This essay attempts to present some reflections on care from a broader perspective, demonstrating its centrality to the critical understanding of the current ecological and civilizational crisis, as well as in the formulation of alternatives to overcoming urban socio-environmental problems. It is based on the perspective that care is not only a set of actions limited to the socio-familial matrix but also at the level of social relations and humanity with nature. Moral courage is defined as standing up for others and intervening when a norm is violated. This research aimed to examine the effect of relationship type between the bystander and the victim (close or distant) and the moral context in which the norm violation occurs (care/harm or fairness/reciprocity) on moral courage. Two studies (n = 164 and n = 200) utilized a scenario method in which participants were presented with short vignettes of another person (close or distant) being victimized (in either a care or a fairness context) and were asked to indicate their willingness to intervene, representing degree of moral courage. As expected, participants reported greater levels of moral courage when the victim was their family member or friend (vs. stranger) and this effect was stronger in the care (vs. fairness) context. Moreover, anger — a moral emotion — mediated the relationship effect on moral courage in both contexts. Effective communication is one of the most important tools and skills in promoting patient safety. Through it we can perceive and confirm what the patient wants to tell us, their feelings, acceptance, denial and their needs, and from it we can resolve them or not. Especially in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) where the majority of patients are under sedation, intubated or drowsy. The study aimed to problematize and reflect on the barriers and facilities to make care in the Intensive Care Unit safer and more humanized. It was possible to understand that ICU health professionals recognize the value of communication as key to the humanization of care; however, it is necessary to recognize the barriers that exist in the process. This highly complex and technologically advanced environment requires the healthcare team to develop cognitive skills, practical skills and responsibilities that sometimes lead professionals to leave communication with the patient in the background and address needs in a technical way, widespread and insensitive, putting at risk the humanization of patient care. Therefore, communication is a right and something crucial and indispensable during the health process. Communication in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) plays a fundamental role in providing safe, individualized and humanized care to patients. Assistance to women during the pregnancy-puerperal cycle and to children in the first year of life has been extensively studied, especially regarding its impact on maternal, perinatal and neonatal mortality. The assessment of the quality of health services can be carried out through effectiveness, effectiveness, efficiency, optimization, acceptability, legitimacy and equity and the structure-process-results triad. It is possible to consider the woman's pilgrimage as obstetric violence because it is directly related to her reproductive process and the annulment of her rights. This type of violence results from the precariousness of the health system, which considerably restricts access to the services offered. Therefore, it is concluded that women must receive quality care, in a humanized and individualized manner from prenatal care to the postpartum period, with clarification of doubts and the rights that are guaranteed to them in this regard, nursing professionals have fundamental role in developing discussions on the topic during prenatal consultations, as well as in the development of conversation circles, courses and booklets to better guide and provide quality care. Healthcare professionals working on the front lines fighting COVID-19 have been particularly affected by psychiatric disorders, including depression, anxiety, insomnia, stress and vicarious trauma. As a result, health professionals needed to be heard and supported by the public health system, and by being welcomed it is possible to help them deal with the crisis in a healthy and constructive way. For these reasons, the study has the following objective: Discuss the mental health of health workers in the process of coping after the COVID-19 pandemic. We were able to conclude that the mental health of post-pandemic health workers is a very important object of study and that it requires a lot of attention and relevance, as these workers were the ones who suffered the greatest impact in terms of mental health, as they are the line front and play an essential role in combating the infectious disease, which escalated to pandemic levels and with its very long duration brought them several problems that they had to face during and after the pandemic that affected their quality of life, their performance professional and causing a crisis in the mental health of these professionals. The surgical center unit (SC) is defined by the Ministry of Health as the set of environments intended for surgical activities, as well as anesthetic and postoperative recovery. It is currently characterized as a socio-technical-structured, administrative and psychosocial system that is located within a hospital. The lack of time, the overload of activities, the execution of concomitant administrative and care functions, the lack of team training and the lack of a protocol in the hospital are challenges to the implementation of the Nursing Care Systematization (SAE). As a result of carrying out the work, it is possible to identify possible obstacles that hinder the implementation of SAE in the surgical center. Even though the nursing team recognizes the importance of implementing SAE in the active sector for the continuity and quality of nursing care, this practice is not carried out as it really should be. The Systematization of Nursing Care (SAE) is a process that involves the organization, planning, execution and evaluation of nursing care for the patient. In the context of the surgical center, SAE is essential to ensure safe and quality care. Basic Health Units lack infrastructure to guarantee accessibility for people with disabilities, as they often present inadequacies on public roads and lack of access to the entrance to the facilities. Buildings lacking accessibility create significant obstacles to the health of people with disabilities, providing distance between the individual in need of care and the health unit. Therefore, many challenges are faced by this public, and therefore, the objective is to: Know and characterize the faces and interfaces of accessibility for people with disabilities. Given the knowledge explored, it is known that the National Policy for People with Disabilities is a source of technical and scientific knowledge for those who use it, including health professionals, family members, and people with disabilities. Knowing that access to the Unified Health System (SUS) is the main gateway for these patients, this article is of great importance, as it allows reflection on the topic in question and generates new possibilities for discussion. There are many causes and risk factors, but in child populations, in children under two years of age, many of the factors and causes of death are associated with a lack of knowledge of warning signs, the first symptoms, irregularity in the vaccination schedule, poor hygiene and unsanitary conditions that are inadequate for the treatment of the disease. Forensic nursing is a specialized area of nursing that combines nursing knowledge with legal and forensic aspects. Forensic nurses play a crucial role at the intersection of healthcare and the legal system. Discussing violence has become a major topic, especially in the health context, due to the global growth of violence, making it a priority for discussion in public health. Therefore, it is essential that the nursing professional is qualified to work in this area, offering their respective contributions to know how to intervene and recognize these situations, knowing which steps to follow and how to proceed in the most varied contexts presented, in addition to a thorough look and a rich in details paying attention to quality service, the environment, exposure, safety and reliability. The objective is to analyze the topic regarding forensic nursing with regard to violence against women, aiming at health promotion. This study highlighted opinions about forensic nursing, reflecting on thoughts and perspectives of the specialty, covering everything from the concepts that are pillars on the subject to other aspects. In this article, the authors had the opportunity to explore the topic a little more and bring knowledge to future readers, since one of the limitations of the study is the lack of knowledge of this specialty, and also of its professional performance. In Brazil, lack of quality in the delivery of prenatal care is a persistent concern. In this study, I analyze the dynamics taking place in the prenatal clinical encounter, and illuminate how the requirement to produce metrics through registration and monitoring endorses a form of bureaucratic care. This form of care develops in a context characterized by scarcity and a lack of medical resources, where healthcare professionals attempt to contain uncertainty. Ruled by notions of risk, centered in measuring practices, and saturated by an overvaluation of technology, bureaucratic care reinforces the disenfranchizement and stigmatization of Black rural women.
