This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Station Rotation learning model in improving students' mastery of concepts and skills in United Kingdom subjects in grade III. The research was conducted in three cycles, each with an approach that involved the use of different stations for learning, exercise, and evaluation. The results show that the application of this model significantly improves students' ability to understand the material and communication skills. The increase in the average competency score of students in designing learning, communicating, and using the United Kingdom was recorded from cycle one to cycle three. However, challenges still exist in terms of material understanding and use of technology, which indicates the need for further adjustments in learning methods and the provision of adequate facilities. Good concept mastery through critical thinking using various approaches, models, strategies, and methods of learning German is essential for the Education 4.0 era. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the concept mastery and critical thinking skills of German language students at Pattimura University using collaborative learning that combines Schneeball-Wirbelgruppe learning. A one-group pretest-posttest design with a sample of 13 second-semester students in the academic year 2019/2020 was used. Furthermore, an essay test was used as an instrument while the data was analyzed using descriptive methods (N-gain test) and inferential methods (paired t-test). The descriptive analysis showed that the concept mastery and critical thinking skills of students were in the high and moderate categories. The paired t-test results showed a difference between the pretest and posttest using Schneeball-Wirbelgruppe learning model. Therefore, collaborative learning has a positive impact on improving students' concept mastery and critical thinking skills in learning phonology and morphology courses. As for the implications of this research, the Schneeball-Wırbelgruppe learning model is recommended as a learning model that can be applied to other concepts in German language learning. Science and technology are rapidly developing in the 21st century which requires educators to facilitate real-life problem-based learning activities and the application of science that can stimulate problem-solving skills with science considerations. This research aims to determine the correlation of science literacy and concept understanding with students' problem solving skills and variables that are more influential in improving problem solving skills. The research sample consisted of 34 students of eleventh class of State Senior High School (SSHS) 6 of Malang who took Biology as an elective subjects. The variables measured in this study, namely predictor variables (science literacy and concept understanding), and criterion variables (problem solving skills). The data of the three variables were obtained from an essay test at the end of the lesson and then analyzed using multiple linear regression test. The results showed that the predictor variables (science literacy and concept mastery) gave a relative contribution to problem solving skills with a percentage of 72.1% and 27.9%, respectively. Science literacy variable is more influential on improving problem solving skills than concept mastery. The results of this study indicate a positive correlation between science literacy and concept understanding with problem solving skills.

In scrutinizing the amalgamation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach within mathematics pedagogy, extant scholarship scarcely offers a holistic evaluation of their synergistic efficacy. Prior research predominantly accentuates scholastic outcomes, frequently neglecting the ramifications of these models on classroom dynamics, including the nuances of student-teacher interactions and student engagement and participation levels. This study probes the integration of PBL and TaRL models to augment students' comprehension of mathematical principles, employing a mixed-methods research design encompassing qualitative and quantitative methodologies. The investigation centered on seventh-grade students in junior high school, utilizing test instruments to evaluate mathematical comprehension and observational protocols to document student and teacher engagement for enriched insights. Comprehensive qualitative and quantitative data analyses were executed. The findings disclosed significant advancements in students' grasp of mathematical concepts, with observations revealing heightened student engagement and more favorable teacher-student interactions. Statistical analyses evidenced substantial disparities between pre-test and post-test scores (p < 0.05). The results proffer recommendations and pragmatic implications for enhancing mathematics education, underscoring the imperative for teacher professional development in deploying this integrative pedagogical model to elevate the quality of mathematics instruction at the secondary school echelon. Education is defined as a conscious and planned activity through a learning process that can help develop individual potential. Self-potential includes spiritual strength, intelligence, noble character, self-control, personality, and skills needed for individuals and society. XYX School has a school vision that is respect and critical thinking, but this has not been reflected in students. The purpose of this study was to analyze the application of the Problem Based Learning model in improving mastery of mathematics concepts, critical thinking skills and respectful attitudes of 3rd grade students at XYZ school. The research method used is classroom action research. The research instruments used were written tests to measure mastery of mathematical concepts and observation rubrics to measure critical thinking skills. The results showed that there was an increase in the mastery of mathematical concepts of students by 30%. An increase in critical thinking skills was also obtained with an N-gain value of 0.50 during the study. The increase in respectful attitude can be seen from the N-gain value obtained of 0.41 during the study. It can be concluded that the application of the Problem Based Learning model can improve concept mastery, critical thinking skills and respectful attitude in mathematics lessons for grade 3 students of XYZ school. Genetics is the fundamental framework for comprehending biological principles in secondary education. Nevertheless, the intricate nature and conceptualization of genetics pose several challenges for students, leading to difficulties in comprehension. The present study attempted to enhance students' mastery of genetic concepts by implementing a Mobile Augmented Reality Genetics (MAR-Gen) application inside the learning process35T.35T The study employed a mixed-methods approach and was conducted on experts, biology teachers, and 120 respondents in their final year of high school. The respondents were allocated into experimental and control groups. The experimental group received instruction integrating mobile learning, whereas the control group received instruction using teaching methods that did not incorporate the mobile learning media. The findings indicated that the students in the experimental group achieved superior scores in genetics content compared to those in the control group. This study showed that mobile learning media could enhance genetic concept mastery and elicit a favourable student reaction. Physics concept mastery is a demand that is to be achieved in learning at high school level. In addition, the development of 21st century technology requires teachers to be able to use technology in organising students to learn. This study aims to determine the effect of flipbook e-module-assisted 8e learning cycle model on improving high school students' concept mastery on heat and heat transfer material. This research is a quantitative study that uses quasi experimental design with Nonequivalent Control Group. Participants included 70 students of class XI (eleventh graders) in a MAN (State Islamic High Schools) in Bandung, which were selected using convenience sampling technique. Data collection was done through a pretest and a posttest encompassing as many as 12 items of two tier multiple choice questions on concept mastery. The data analysis used N-gain test to determine the increase in concept mastery, and Mann Withney test to determine the effect of flipbook e-module-assisted 8e learning cycle model on students' concept mastery. The results showed that there was an increase in concept mastery after treatment was given, that is, by 0.60 (moderate). There is a significant difference in the improvement of the concept mastery between the experimental class and the control class, especially in the cognitive aspect of C3, which is 54.65%, and the material aspect of heat transfer, which is 36.42%. In conclusion, flipbook e-module-assisted 8e learning cycle model has an effect on improving students' concept mastery.

ABSTRAK Masalah utama yang mendasari penelitian ini adalah rendahnya penguasaan konsep siswa terhadap materi Tekanan Hidrostatik, yang menunjukkan adanya kebutuhan untuk memperbaiki metode pembelajaran yang ada. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi tekanan hidrostatis setelah diajarkan dengan model problem based learning di SMK Darul Wustha Jerowaru. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada semester Genap tahun pelajaran 2022/2023. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah mixed methods desain embedded experimental model. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 28 siswa kelas X SMK Darul Wustha Jerowaru. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari silabus, RPP, LKS, tes penguasaan konsep, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, dan protokol wawancara. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi test, observasi, dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data kuantitatif meliputi N-Gain, uji t berpasangan, dan effect size untuk melihat besar pengaruh pembelajaran. Sementara data kualitatif dianalisis dengan data reduction, coding, data display, conclusion drawing/verivication. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi tekanan hidrostatis melalui pembelajaran model problem based learning mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan dengan N-Gain skor rata-rata sebesar 0,69 (kategori sedang), dan nilai effect size sebesar 6,2 (kategori kuat); (2) sebagian besar siswa dapat mengubah konsepsi-konsepsinya yang salah pada saat posttest. Pada materi tekanan hidrostatis sebagian besar siswa menganggap tekanan hidrostatis dipengaruhi oleh volume air dan bentuk bejana, namun pada saat postest sebagian besar siswa mampu mengubah konsepsinya menuju konsepsi yang sesuai dengan konsep tekanan hidrostatis yaitu tekanan hidrostatis dipengaruhi oleh massa jenis dan kedalaman. Kondisi ini menunjukkan bahwa model problem based learning dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi tekanan hidrostatis. ABSTRACT The main problem underlying this research is the low mastery of students' concepts in the topic of Hydrostatic Pressure, indicating a need to improve existing teaching methods. The aim of this research is to determine the improvement in students' concept mastery in the topic of hydrostatic pressure after being taught using the problem-based learning model at Darul Wustha Vocational School Jerowaru. This research was conducted in the second semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. The research method used is a mixed methods design with an embedded experimental model. The subjects in this study consisted of 28 students from class X at Darul Wustha Vocational School Jerowaru. Research instruments included syllabi, lesson plans, worksheets, concept mastery tests, learning implementation observation sheets, and interview protocols. Data collection methods included tests, observations, and interviews. Quantitative data analysis techniques included N-Gain, paired t-tests, and effect size to assess the magnitude of the learning effect. Meanwhile, qualitative data were analyzed through data reduction, coding, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The research results indicate that: (1) Students' mastery of the concept of hydrostatic pressure through problem-based learning showed a significant improvement, with an average N-Gain score of 0.69 (moderate category) and an effect size value of 6.2 (strong category); (2) Most students were able to correct their misconceptions during the post-test. In the topic of hydrostatic pressure, most students initially believed that hydrostatic pressure was influenced by the volume of water and the shape of the container. However, after the post-test, most students were able to adjust their concepts to align with the concept of hydrostatic pressure, which is influenced by density and depth. This condition demonstrates that the problem-based learning model can enhance students' concept mastery in the topic of hydrostatic pressure. This research is a development research that aims to find out the development media that can increase students' motivation and mastery of concepts. The research method used is the development method with the ADDIE design. The instruments used in this study were observation, questionnaires and tests. The results of data analysis for motivation increased from 51.58% before use to 84.36%. The average result of students' mastery of the concept pretest 69.50 and after use 81.5. The conclusion from the research is that media development can increase students' motivation and mastery of concepts.

The goal of this study is to examine the impact of Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) and motivational learning on the mastery of social interactions among fifth-grade students at Cilegon 4 Elementary School. The population for this study comprises 128 students, and a sample of 78 students was selected. This sample was divided into two experimental classes, each containing 39 students—one utilizing a video-based approach and the other employing a PowerPoint-based method. This study employs a 2x2 factorial design for research design.The data analysis for this study involved the utilization of two-way-ANOVA. The study's findings reveal a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), with F calculated (3737.406) exceeding the critical F value (4.09). As a result, this indicates a statistically significant outcome. The study's conclusion underscores that the utilization of TPACK combined with motivational learning significantly influences the mastery of social interactions among fifth-grade students at Cilegon 4 Elementary School.

This early learning media is really needed to support the achievement of learning goals by students at school. Learning media can allegedly be a forum for communication and equalization of perceptions of material between teachers and students. When Covid-19 occurred, teachers were required to develop innovations in learning, both learning models and learning media. Especially in learning media, during Covid-19, teachers were encouraged to be creative and innovate in making digital-based learning media. This is because digital learning media can make it easier for students at home to access it. Recently, the digital media that has been popularly used, especially during the pandemic, is digital-based comic visual learning media. Digital comics are a novelty from conventional comic forms which are usually found in the form of books or sheets of paper. Digital comics are designed with an attractive appearance and are equipped with relevant learning material content so that they are believed to be able to facilitate students' mastery of the material as best as possible, even though the learning is carried out virtually outside of school. The focus of the research was to determine the effect of using digital comics in an effort to improve the quality of learning outcomes in the form of mastery of a concept and critical thinking skills of phase C class V students in integrated learning of human digestion science and science. The research adopted an experimental research method by implementing a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. The pretest and posttest were carried out with the aim of finding out whether there was an influence, even the size of the influence, of using comics in communicating the material being taught. In the following paper I propose an argument against internalism about thought content. After a brief preview of the recent debate between Sarah Sawyer and Åsa Wikforss, the paper outlines the central issue in their discussion. I show that, even if Wikforss’ objections against Sawyer are granted, externalism about thought content can still prevail. For my argument, I use Wikforss` own objection against externalism and show how, if accepted, it binds one to the mythical figure of the perfect speaker – an infallible creature that possesses complete understanding of all of her concepts.

Post-pandemic policies encourage teachers and students to carry out learning in offline, where they used to go online before. One learning strategy that can be applied in this condition is blended learning, which combines the advantages of offline and online learning. In improving the quality of learning outcomes and developing students' 21st-century skills, especially argumentation skills, blended learning strategies can be combined with inquiry-based learning models, one of which is the revised Argument-Driven Inquiry (rADI). This study aims to obtain an analysis of data related to the application of blended learning with rADI model in improving students' argumentation skills and concept mastery in Monera materials, especially regarding Bacteria. The research method used in this study was pre-experimental with a one-group pretest-posttest design. This research was conducted on students of class X MIPA at a high school in Bandung which consisted of 26 students. The data were obtained from the pre-test and post-test results of argumentation skills and concept mastery, and questionnaires on students' responses to learning. The results showed an increase in students' argumentation skills with an N-Gain score of 0.81 and students' concept mastery with an N-Gain score of 0.78 after applying blended learning with rADI model. The increase in argumentation skills and concept mastery was significant with N-Gain scores included in the high category. The research aims to determine the influence of the model problem-based learning assisted by a mobile pocket book mechanical wave to increasse students' concepts mastery and creativity. The type of research is quasi-experimental and uses a nonequivalent control group design with pre-test and post-test. Population at this study included all students of class XI IPA at SMAN 4 Mataram Academic Year 2022/2023. Samples were taken using purposive sampling technique, so that XI IPA 1 is obtained as an experimental class as many 32 people and XI IPA 2 as control class as many 31 people. Results the final test of concepts mastery obtained an average score of 78.70 in the experimental class and control class 68.81. Meanwhile, the results of the final creativity test obtained an average value of 80.79 for the experimental class and 76.02 for the control class. The hypothesis was analyzed using Manova with the help of IBM SPSS 21. Based on the results of the analysis it can be concluded that there is the influence of the problem-based learning model assisted by the mobile pocket book mechanical wave to increasse students' concepts mastery and creativity.

This study is motivated by students’ difficulties in comprehending abstract, complex, and dynamic concepts in the teaching and learning process of the Engineering Materials course. The course is very important because it is indispensable for advanced study program expertise courses. The objective of the study is to evaluate the impact of using the e-book Multimedia Animation (e-MMA) in the teaching and learning process of engineering materials courses on improving students’ learning outcomes in the crystal structure subject. The research utilized an experimental method completed with a randomized control group for pretest-posttest design. Two groups were assessed from two classes in Engineering Department randomly selected as the research sample. The subject that becomes the focus of this study is Crystal Structure to understand Concept Mastery and Problem-solving aspects. Thus, there will be two competency data from the research results. The application of e-MMA in the teaching and learning process can improve student learning outcomes. The e-MMA is very effective in solving the problems of students in understanding crystal structure because of their ability to provide images and animations of abstract objects. The learning model should be able to improve student's learning abilities. The Brain-Based Whole Learning (BBWL) model is one of the alternative learning models that can improve students' retention achievement, supported by scientific literacy and concept mastery. This study aims to determine the effect of the BBWL model on students' scientific literacy, concept mastery, and retention. This research method was quasi-experimental, with a sample of four classes taken randomly. The total sample was 132 students in grade XI Science Specialization in Madrasah Aliyah Bengkulu who enrolled in Biology. The data were analyzed using the ANOVA test after the assumption test was carried out, namely the normality and data homogeneity test. The results showed an effect of the BBWL model on students' scientific literacy skills, concept mastery, and retention. There is a significant difference between the BBWL model with BBL, WBT, and control. Based on the study results, it can be concluded that the BBWL model can improve students' retention achievement by supporting the result of good scientific literacy and concept mastery. Teacher feedback given to students can be one of the motivations in an effort to improve students' concept mastery and self-assessment. This study aims to identify the effect of using teacher feedback on students' concept mastery and self-assessment on the topic of monohybrid and dihybrid crosses. The method used in this research was a quantitative quasi-experiment with Nonequivalent Control Group research design. The participants in this study were among 69 ninth grade students at one of the public junior high schools in Bandung Regency which were divided into two classes, which were 33 control class students and 36 experimental class students. This study uses positive written feedback with the types of supporting, direct corrective and guidance on students' essay test answer sheets. To measure students' mastery of concepts, an essay test was used with a total of 10 questions based on Bloom's Revised taxonomy indicators, which are understanding (C2), applying (C3), and analyzing (C4). To measure students' self-assessment, a 1-4 Likert scale questionnaire was used using indicators that were adjusted to the indicators on the essay questions. Concept mastery is one of the main goals in the learning process. This study aimed to analyze the improvement of students’ physics concept mastery by implementing challenge-based learning with Edmodo-assisted learning. This study used mixed methods with an embedded experimental model research design. The research sample was 10th-grade students in a public vocational school’s food crops and horticulture agribusiness program. Data analysis employed the Rasch model with the help of ministeps software version 4.1.1. The results of this study indicate a significant increase in students’ conceptual mastery of +3.44 logit. The average logit value of students’ abilities is higher than the average logit value of the item difficulty level. Students’ physics concept mastery can be improved through the challenge-based learning model assisted by Edmodo.

This study aims to determine the effect of the project-based distance learning model on students' mastery of concepts on work and energy material. This research method is a mixed method with the Embedded Experimental Model design. Quantitative data came from working on the pre-test and post-test of mastery of the concept of 34 students, with the results of qualitative data through interviews and qualitative analysis. The results showed that the project-based distance learning model had a significant effect (d-effect size = 2.33) (α=0.000) on students' mastery of concepts, and the magnitude of the increase in concept mastery used N-gain 0.766. Qualitative analysis used crosstabulation and the results of student interviews, which stated that students experienced an increase in mastery of concepts after being given treatment. The findings of the researchers proved that there was student creativity which was shown in high categories in each indicator of project outcome assessment based on aspects of fluency (85.2%), flexibility (75%), originality (80.1%), and elaboration (75.7%).

This type of research is research and development. The design of the development model in this study uses the ADDIE step (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implementation, Evaluation). However, this article only discusses up to the analysis stage, namely to find out student needs for the development of Introduction to Safety Management System learning through MOOCs. The study was conducted in May-June 2022. The samples in this study were 146 Palembang Poltekbang students who took the Safety Management System course. Sampling is done by purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used was a closed questionnaire consisting of 20 positive statements which is a modification of the Likert Scale with 4 answer choices, namely strongly agree with a score of 4, agree with a score of 3, disagree with a score of 2 and strongly disagree with a score of 1. The results of this study indicate that student agrees to do learning development Introduction To Safety Management System through MOOCs to improve mastery of aviation safety concepts.

Prior knowledge is one of the important factors that can affect the effectiveness of absorbing new information or concepts that students will learn. This research aims to know the mastery profile of students' concepts (prior knowledge) on hydrostatic pressure material. Descriptive research is applied in this study to realize these goals. This research was conducted at SMAN VII Mataram with a total sample of 44 students spread over four classes. Samples were taken using a simple random sampling technique. The data collection tool in this study was a concept mastery test instrument consisting of 14 questions. This test instrument measures students' mastery of concepts from cognitive level C1 (remembering) to cognitive level C4 (analyzing). Data on test results were analyzed by calculating the average percentage of students who could answer questions correctly according to the cognitive level being tested. This percentage is used as an indicator to measure the student's mastery of concepts on hydrostatic pressure material. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the level of student's mastery of concepts for cognitive level C1 (remembering) was 70.45%, cognitive level C2 (understanding) was 31.36%, cognitive level C3 (applying) was 27.73%, and cognitive level C4 (analyzing) was 18.94%. It can be concluded that students' mastery of concepts, especially at cognitive levels C2-C4, is still very low.

This research aims to produce valid and practical learning products for physics education. The developed learning products consist of interactive multimedia based on Android, lesson plans (RPP), and test instruments for the topic of elasticity in physics. This study follows a Research and Development (R&D) approach, adapting the 4D model developed by Thiagarajan. The research stages include defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The research subjects were 32 students in grade XI. Data collection techniques involved validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and pretest and posttest sheets for assessing conceptual understanding. The validation results indicate that the learning products fall under high validity. The average scores of expert and practitioner validators were 3.49 and 3.67 for interactive multimedia based on Android, 3.48 and 3.69 for the lesson plans, and 3.38 and 3.81 for the test instruments, respectively. The analysis of the response questionnaires showed that the products were convenient, with an average percentage of 82.27%. Therefore, the developed learning products are valid and highly practical for secondary school physics activities.

The study examined the effectiveness of group investigation versus lecture-based instruction on students’ concept mastery and transferability in social studies learning. The researcher used an experimental design to randomly assign 116 eighth-grade students into control and experimental groups. The control and experimental group had 58 students, respectively. The researcher exposed the control group to lecture-based instruction through an oral presentation led by an instructor. On the other hand, students in the group investigation approach were grouped into groups of 6 and asked to investigate, think, discuss, and share their ideas on the topic with the class of 56 students. As the researcher hypothesized, the experimental group that the instructor exposed to the group investigation method that required learners to be active, plan, discuss, question, investigate a given topic, think, inquire, and present their findings to the class significantly outperformed the control group where learners mainly were passive listeners, on both concept mastery and transferability. Therefore, a significant difference exists between the lecture-based approach and group investigation towards promoting concept mastery and transfer performance among eighth-grade students. Based on the study results, the researcher recommends that eighth-grade social studies instructors adopt the group investigation method since it keeps learners active and also enhances transfer and concept mastery. During the Covid-19 pandemic, face-to-face learning has been replaced with online learning (e-learning). The learning process with this mode must be able to support the learning objectives towards understanding the concept. This study aims to explore the effect of e-learning on concept mastery in prospective teachers. In this study, we conducted a one group pretest posttest design, where one class group was used as the research sample and was given a pretest, treatment, and posttest. The sample was taken purposively with the criteria of prospective teacher students taking fundamental physics courses on motion kinematics material. The number of research samples was 23 prospective teachers at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Mataram – Indonesia. The instrument in the form of an essay test is used to measure the understanding of the concept. Analysis of research data used descriptive statistical analysis (pair t-test) to test the research hypothesis. The results of the pair t-test showed a significance of p = 0.000 (< 0.05), this means that there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores after the implementation of e-learning. The interpretation leads to the effect of online learning mode (e-learning) on the concept mastery ability of prospective teachers.

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh Model discovery learning terhadap penguasaan konsep dan pengetahuan fisika SMA. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah meta-analisis. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan perhitungan nilai effect size untuk setiap artikel. Berdasarkan meta analisis yang dilakukan, dapat dinyatakan bahwa hasil penelitian ini yaitu : 1) pengaruh model discovery learning terhadap penguasaan konsep dan pengetahuan fisika SMA ditinjau dari tahun terbit artikel memberikan efek yang Sangat Tinggi terdapat pada tahun 2017,2018, dan 2020 dengan masing-masing rata-rata effect size yaitu 1,6; 1,15; dan 1,62. 2) pengaruh model discovery learning terhadap penguasaan konsep dan pengetahuan fisika SMA ditinjau dari tingkatan kelas memberikan efek Sangat Tinggi terdapat pada kelas XI dengan rata-rata effect size 1,25. 3) pengaruh discovery learning terhadap penguasaan konsep fisika SMA memberikan efek Sangat Tinggi terdapat pada artikel keenam (J6) dengan nilai effect size 2,38. 4) pengaruh discovery learning terhadap pengetahuan fisika SMA memberikan efek Sangat Tinggi terdapat pada artikel kesepuluh (J10) dengan nilai effect size 3,95. ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the discovery learning model on mastery of high school physics concepts and knowledge. The method used in this research is meta-analysis. The data analysis technique in this study uses the calculation of the effect size value for each article. Based on the meta-analysis carried out, it can be stated that the results of this study are: 1) the effect of the discovery learning model on mastery of concepts and knowledge of high school physics in terms of the year the article was published gave a Very High effect in 2017,2018, and 2020 with each the average effect size is 1.6; 1.15; and 1.62. 2) the influence of the discovery learning model on the mastery of concepts and knowledge of high school physics in terms of grade level gives a very high effect in class XI with an average effect size of 1.25. 3) the effect of discovery learning on mastery of high school physics concepts gives a Very High effect found in the sixth article (J6) with an effect size value of 2.38. 4) the effect of discovery learning on high school physics knowledge gives a very high effect in the tenth article (J10) with an effect size value of 3.95. Face-to-face learning cannot be carried out during a pandemic. Changes in student learning styles from face-to-face to online learning suddenly resulted in several new problems, one of which was a decrease in student understanding of lecture material. To overcome this, we are trying to overcome these problems by designing a mini studio that is used to carry out the online learning process. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the mini studio in improving students' conceptual mastery of the material presented by the lecturer. Using a pre-experimental method, this study involved 132 biology education students at Universitas Pasundan. The results showed an increase in student concept mastery (N-gain = 0.49) in the medium category. Thus, we can conclude that the mini studio is quite effective in increasing students' mastery of concepts. Mini studios can be used as a face-to-face replacement solution for online learning, although it is necessary to increase the learning support devices used in mini studios. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

One of the factors that have become an obstacle in the development of techno-logy to use ocean wave energy as a renewable energy source is the lack of human resources who have expertise in this field. Therefore, in the long term, it is necessary to introduce basic knowledge to the young generation about wave energy and other renew-able energies and even must equip them with important skills such as creative thinking skills. This study aims to introduce students to how to utilize ocean waves as renewable energy while at the same time developing student creative thinking skills through semi-assisted project-based learning. This type of research is weak experiment research with one group pretest-posttest design research. The research was conducted on 31 pre-service physics physics teachers who were taking environmental physics lectures at a teacher training university in West Nusa Tenggara. The performance appraisal data were analyzed descriptively while the test result data were analyzed using the N-gain and the Wilcoxon test. Based on the results of data analysis, it was obtained = 0.725, which means that there was a high increase in students' mastery of the concept of using ocean waves as a renewable energy source. In addition, the results of the performance appraisal data (score > 3) indicated that at each stage of learning, students were provided with indicators of creative thinking skills with very satisfied categories. Therefore, it can be concluded that environmental physics lectures using semi-assisted project-based learning able to improve students' mastery of concepts and creative thinking skills.

This study analyses students learning outcomes and internalization of Islamic values in buffer solutions through online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The study was conducted to find effective strategies in achieving students’ competence and Islamic values. This research is a quasi-experimental study conducted on 100 tenth-grade students using The One Group Pretest-Posttest model. The results showed students learning outcomes obtain an N-Gain value of 0.72 (high category). The internalization of Islamic values for three aspects: praying, blessing, and study hard determined the average above 3 (often do). Thus, the research concludes that online learning conducted on buffer materials is effective in mastering the content and internalization of Islamic values.

The lack of students' mastery of decimal fractions has become a current issue among researchers. The comparisin of decimal fraction values was still an obstacle for students. The use of learning media in this study is the Computer Assisted Learning Media and Decimal Board can be a solution to these problems. This study aimed to describe the increase of elementary students’ concept mastery on decimal fractions subject matter. Descriptive-quantitative method with pre-test and post-test was carried out to achieve the research objectives. The subjects in this study were the 4th grade students (22 students) in the East Lombok area. The students' concept mastery was measured using a multiple-choice test instrument of 10 items. The research data were analyzed descriptively and statistically using paired sample t-test. The results showed that students' concept mastery increased after learning (pre-test: 54.5%; post-test: 77.27%). The results of statistical tests using the paired sample t-test also showed that students' concept mastery had increased significantly after learning (p < 0.05). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that learning using Computer Assisted Learning Media and Decimal Boards can improve elementary school students' concept mastery on decimal fractions subject matter.

This development research aims to produce such a product in the form of learning tools with the 5E learning cycle model to improve students' mastery of physics concepts. This type of research is included in Research and Development (R&D) with a 4D model consisting of Define, Design, Development, and Dissemination. The learning device products developed are syllabus, Learning Implementation Plan, Student Worksheets, and Concept Mastery Test Instruments. Data collection techniques used validation sheets. The data on the validity of the learning device was obtained from filling out the validation sheet by the validators and has been analyzed using a Likert scale. The results of the study based on the assessment of the validators showed that the average value of the validity of all learning tools developed was 88.54% and 92.62% with very valid and reliable criteria. The variables tested were mastery of physics concepts through limited trial activities by providing test instruments for mastery of physics concepts in the form of pretest and posttest which were then analyzed using the N-gain test. Then the average result of the N-gain test for mastery of physics concepts on static fluid material is 0.55 with a moderate improvement category. So it can be concluded that the learning device of the 5E learning cycle model is valid and effective to improve the mastery of physics concepts for the students of SMAN 1 Gunungsari.

This study aims to determine the effect of problem-based STEM learning on students' mastery of physics concepts. The research method used is quasi-experimental with a nonequivalent control group design. The research was carried out from the third week of March to the second week of April at SMAN 1 Sikur. The population of this research was students of class XI MIPA 2, XI MIPA 3, and XI MIPA 4 for the academic year 2021/2022, with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. This study used two classes, namely the control and experimental groups—the Data collection for mastery of concepts using tests in the form of description questions. The research hypothesis was tested using an independent t-test to analyze the difference in the mean scores of pre-test and post-test in both classes using SPSS 16 software. The independent t-hypothesis test resulted in a sig. (2-tailed) of 0.009, more minor than the significance value. (0.05) so that H_0 is rejected, and it is concluded that there are differences in the mastery of physics concepts due to the application of the problem-based STEM learning model.

This study aimed to determine the effect of the inquiry-discovery learning model on critical thinking skills and mastery of students' physics concepts on the topic of temperature and heat. This quasi-experimental research used posttest only control group design in which there are two groups in this design, each of which was selected randomly. The sample in this study was 34 students for the experimental class and 34 students for the control class. The results showed that there was a difference between inquiry-discovery learning and conventional learning in improving students' critical thinking skills and mastery of physics concepts. Inquiry-discovery learning affects critical thinking skills and students' mastery of physics concepts. Development of technology is increasingly rapid today, including in the field of education. Technological developments are sometimes not used properly in the learning process, so that students not actively studying in class. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using 3D visualization media on nucleophilic substitution reaction material to improve students' concept mastery. Research method used was a quasi-experiment with pre-test and post-test design, involved 68 students from two different universities in West Java. The test instrument to measure concept mastery consisted of nine reasoned multiple-choice questions. The results showed that the use of 3D visualization media in nucleophilic substitution reaction materials can improve students' mastery of concepts. Based on the N-gain calculation results, University A was better than University B except for the indicators of determining that obtained a medium category and sorting that obtained a low category. There were four indicators of concept mastery used, including determining, analyzing, linking, and sorting indicators.

Strengthening ecopreneurship plays an important role in preparing students for success in the life and career of students, but this skill is not well trained in learning physics. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of environment-based physics learning on students' mastery of concepts and ecopreneurship. This research is a quasi experimental research with one group pretest and posttest design. The research subjects were 29 students of the physics education study program, Surabaya State University, Indonesia, who programmed basic physics courses. The data collection technique used a conceptual mastery test instrument and ecopreneurship. The data analysis technique used the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Paired t-test, Wilcoxon test, and N-Gain. The results showed a significant increase in students' mastery of concepts and ecopreneurship at α = 5%, with mean N-gain of 0.63 and 0.60, respectively, within the moderate criteria. Thus, environment-based physics learning has a significant impact on increasing student mastery of concepts and ecopreneurship.

This study aimed to determine the effect of science Subject Specific Pedagogy Based on Discovery Learning and Volcanic Eruption Disasters on students' concept mastery. This research was a quasi-experiment study with two sample groups, the experimental and the control classes of SMP N 2 Cangkringan. The instrument for collecting the concept mastery data were 35 items. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis. The descriptive analysis employed the gain score's categorization, while the inferential analysis employed the independent sample t-test and effect size test using Partial Etta Square. The results showed an effect of the science subject-specific pedagogy based on discovery learning and volcanic eruption disaster on student’s concept mastery with a gain score of 0.79 (high) in the experimental class. In contrast, the control class obtained 0.07 (low). The independent sample t-test showed that the significance value obtained was 0,000. The effect size value seen from the Partial Etta Square statistics was 0.924, which showed that the science Subject Specific Pedagogy Based on Discovery Learning and Volcanic Eruption Disasters on the concept mastery is very strong. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of science Subject Specific Pedagogy Based on Discovery Learning and Volcanic Eruption Disasters can increase the student's science concept mastery. Further integration and development can be done for other types of disasters because it is one of the nature symptoms that also an object of natural science. Thus, natural science learning will be more meaningful because it is attached to the phenomena in the students' daily lives.

Penelitian ini didasari oleh observasi awal yang ditemukan dilapangan bahwa rendahnya nilai penguasaan konsep IPS. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui penguasaan konsep materi perkembangan teknologi di masyarakat dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran picture and picture berbantuan media audiovisual. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SD Inpres Nakupia dan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV yang berjumlah 19 orang. Pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah menggunakan tes dalam bentuk pilihan ganda, setelah data dikumpulkan, selanjutnya dianalisis deskriptif dengan menggunakan Uji Normalisasi Gain untuk melihat peningkatan. Hasil penilitian diperoleh bahwa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran picture and picture berbantuan media audiovisual menunjukkan adanya peningkatan penguasaan konsep yang terlihat pada siswa dengan skor tertinggi 100 dan skor terendah 90 serta uji N-Gain diperoleh 1.00 dengan kategori tinggi. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran picture and picture berbantuan media audiovisual menujukkan adanya peningkatan penguasaan konsep perkembangan teknologi di masyarakat pada siswa kelas IV SD Inpres Nakupia.

This research is a quasi-experimental research with research design using pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study were all students of a pesantren-based school in Pamekasan. while the sample consists of two groups, namely the experimental class and the control class with the sampling technique using random sampling technique. The sample of the experimental class and control class consisted of 40 students. This research is focused on the use of different instructional media in learning activities. The aims of this research were to determine the impacts of different instructional media on students' learning achievements, to investigate the values of significant difference among the used instructional media, and to investigate the equity distribution of learning outcomes in each class, with experimental research class design. The data collected from class with photographs and with videos as the instructional media, each class consists of 30 students. Then, the data were compared with three classes that used real objects as the instructional media. These classes consist of 29, 39, and 46 students. The research instruments to measure students' learning achievements were tested for their validity and reliability with Quest Program. Normality test was carried out using Shapiro- Wilk, and homogeneity test used ANOVA. Then the analysis data of learning outcomes was administered using Kruskal-Wallis. The results show that the three classes which used real objects lead to better learning outcomes and smaller standard deviation value which shows the evenness of students learning achievements. Therefore, real objects have positive effects on student learning achievements in the ecosystem succession learning materials. This research aims to: (1) develop a biology Learning Management System (LMS) in Human Reproduction System Health with Quipper School platform, (2) develop an instrument of biology to improve student’s concept mastery at SMA Muhammadiyah I Klaten. This developmental research referred to the design and development research (DDR) model suggested by Richey & Klein (2007) grouped into six developmental procedures, and simplified into five procedures including (a) identifying the problem, (b) describing the objectives, (c) designing and developing product, (d) testing and evaluating product, (e) communicating the testing results. The data were analyzed using the parametric statistical model of ANCOVA test with the significance level of 0.05. The research finding reveals that the implementation of the LMS is in the “very good” category. There is a significant difference in the concept mastery (p=0.013) between the experimental and control class after the use of Human Health Reproduction LMS with p < 0.05. Science learning video integrated with local potentials was developed and tested to improve students' science process skills (SPS) and concept mastery. The learning video was developed for the topic of micro-hydro power (MHP) plant. This study was aimed to determine the effectiveness of the video integrated with the local potential of MHP plant in science learning. A quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design was used. The population was first-year students of State Junior High School in Bantul Yogyakarta. The cluster random sampling was used to determine the sample. The aspects of SPS measured were observing and communicating, while the aspects of concept mastery measured were memorizing, understanding, and applying. The data of students' SPS and concept mastery were analyzed using multivariate test. The findings revealed that the use of video integrated with local potential of MHP plant was effective to improve students' SPS and concept mastery. OpticalGamification (OG) is an information and communication technology (ICT)-based gamification-application that applies the elements of game design in a serious context of optics. Through setting for the variations in pre-service physics teachers' (PPTs) access to the sub-topics presented in this application, two OG application models are generated, namely: 1) serial model; designed to facilitate PPTs who study sequentially, and 2) random models; designed to facilitate PPTs who study randomly depends on their choices. This research is quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest nonequivalent multiple group design involving 48 PPTs enrolled in wave and optics course, specifically on the topics of interference and diffraction. The results of this research indicate that there is no significant difference in the improvement of PPTs' concept mastery in the serial and random groups. The BIOSEL (Biotechnology Series Learning) model is a learning model that provides opportunities for students to assemble learning through a conceptual description of the coherent and precise steps of Biotechnology implementation. The purpose of this research was to analyze validity and practicality of the BIOSEL model to improve the concept mastery and scientific creativity of junior high school students. This research was conducted in the Odd Semester of the 2018/2019 Academic Year at Ex Residency of Besuki Junior High Schools (Jember, Banyuwangi, Bondowoso, and Situbondo) which involved 140 junior high school students of class XI through purposive sampling. The validity instruments used were validation sheets for learning and material content experts and for user. Meanwhile, the practicality instrument used was an observation sheet focusing on learning implementation, relevant student activities, and obstacles found during learning. The results of BIOSEL model validity showed that the model had the content, construct, and face validities that had fulfilled the feasibility to apply in the learning process. In addition, the results of BIOSEL model practicality included implementation of each syntax with an average value of < 3.6 as a very good category, student activities with an average value of < 85% as a very active category, and the obstacles found that had the appropriate alternative solutions.
