Abstracts generally summarize key points of research studies, and as such, their main purpose is to attract the attention of potential readers. Thus, they should be well-written, concise, clear, and informative. This paper aims to provide basic guidelines for writing a good abstract in English, focusing mainly on linguistic aspects. Also, the paper addresses some common abstract-writing mistakes resulting from Serbian-English language differences that are usually overlooked or unrecognized by Serbian authors and available proofreading tools. The examples come from a corpus of 71 abstracts written in English by Serbian authors for the 11th International Scientific Conference Special Education and Rehabilitation Today in 2021. They illustrate some frequent errors, ways to correct them, and suggestions on how to achieve greater clarity and coherence in English sentences. Both versions (before and after the proofreading process) were analyzed. It was observed that sentences and structures in English abstracts were significantly affected by the rules, sentence patterns, and flexibility of the Serbian language.

The subject of this paper is identifying the most common students‘ mistakes in teaching lessons of the Serbian Language which are a part of the exam for the academic course Professional Methodological Practice of Teaching Serbian Language at the Faculty of Philososphy in Niš. By analyzing the data obtained by observing the lessons taught by the students of the Serbian Language at the Faculty of Philososphy in Niš during the four-year period (2015/16 to 2018/19), the authors found and analyzed typical errors, classifying them into six categories: errors in methodological lesson management, ignoring teaching principles, a lack of the required class structure, an incorrect application of teaching methods, incorrect application of teaching and technical aids, and an unbalanced behaviour towards students. As there has been no paper dealing with a similar topic so far, this research should be instructive for students, in terms of offering them guidelines for organizing and taking these exams and state teaching license exams. The obtained results are indicative of the complexity of teaching theory (developmental and pedagogical psychology and didactics) that should be linked to academic disciplines (linguistics, theory of literature, and the art of literature) in the process of methodological design of the lessons of Serbian language and Literature.

SCHOOL children , *NOUN phrases (Grammar) , *EXPERIMENTAL groups , *DEGREES of freedom , *FIELD research , *MEDICAL misconceptions - Abstract
The aim of the research was to identify the effect of using the "Posner" Model in correcting some of the common grammatical mistakes of primary school students. The research sample consisted of (60) elementary sixth grade pupils. It was divided into two groups: a control group of (30) pupils who studied grammar subjects in the traditional method, and experimental group of (30) pupils who studied using "Posner" Model. To achieve the goal of this research, the grammatical concepts test was used as a pre and posttest. The results of the (t-test) revealed that there are statistically significant differences at (0.05) between the average grades of pupils of the two groups (control and experimental) in the grammatical concepts due to the method of teaching, and the differences were in favor of the experimental group whose pupils studied grammatical concepts through "Posner" Model, Where, The value of “t” calculated for the experimental group (19.40) is greater than the value of “t” calculated for the control group (14.51). The "T" value (2.05) at (0.05) and the degree of freedom reached (29). The research resulted in a set of recommendations including further field studies in the field of educational applications of learning should be conducted using the "Posner" Model to correct misconceptions. Both versions (before and after the proofreading process) were analyzed. It was observed that sentences and structures in English abstracts were significantly affected by the rules, sentence patterns, and flexibility of the Serbian language., Ovaj rad je rezultat autorovog dugogodišnjeg iskustva kao lektora i prevodioca naučnih i stručnih radova.

- Abstract
Missed injuries are those that have not been diagnosed in the initial 48-72 hours upon admission, i.e. in the phase when a trauma patient is being stabilized. Those are most commonly the injuries that no one has in mind. Missed injuries are not the ones that are left for diagnostics at a later point when the vital signs have stabilized and all the necessary interventions that may not be delayed have been performed. In this case, further diagnostics is pending, but it may happen that no follow-up is done! The data concerning the frequency of missed injuries vary, and the references state that the percentage of such injuries and errors in managing patients is anywhere between 8% and 29%. The abdomen, in trauma, is usually considered the "black box". The abdominal examination is one of the most important procedures in all trauma protocols, but it does happen that the examination itself or the interpretation of positive results are overlooked! The injuries to the diaphragm are quite often missed, particularly if the diaphragm opening is small. An early compensation represents an introduction to the scenario of failing to recognize a cardiac tamponade. Sternal fissures are often missed because lateral imaging is not preformed. Injuries to the sternum raise suspicion of other major trauma! Very young patients and the elderly, immunodeficient patients, pregnant women are individuals with special needs in trauma treatment As missed injuries pose a major risk to patients and have a high importance to the forensics, they should definitely receive more attention in the discussions within the professional scientific circles. NONPROFIT organizations ,INTERNET marketing ,ONLINE social networks ,SOCIAL media ,ELECTRONIC commerce - Abstract
This article is an idea about the new social media seen as a phenomenon of socializing on the Internet, specific to the last years. We believe that this phenomenon influences the daily activity of each person, carried out within the institutionalized or free time. Social media have become the channel of direct communication between companies and consumers, and that is why companies need to pay great importance to the strategic online marketing plan and allocate the funds needed for its development. We think, like most academics and researchers, that social networks have become the cheapest and most active form of customer communication and a tool for developing and deploying online businesses. Once again, it is true that technology does not help us if we forget about the main asset of the companies, the human resource. We strongly believe and sustain the idea that the success of social networks is based on the social human character or brain. By communicating, each of us looks into the mirror of the society we live in, and we expect continuous confirmation of our way of thinking, behaving, talking, etc. This is the axis on which SM is based. In this article, we are explaining in detail that the online businesses need to avoid the frequent mistakes made in commercializing through social media channels. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper draws on our work as associate assistant with the 2nd year students at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, Romania and its extension in Bălţi, The Republic of Moldova. During the Business English seminars, among other activities, we integrated translation exercises from English to Romanian and vice versa to develop our intermediate students' productive and receptive skills in a communicative language teaching environment. Our main aim was to distinguish between students' responses to translation as a purposeful task in the ESP classroom based on their background and nationality. We will also account for their common mistakes when translating, language variants (particularly when rendering sentences from English to Romanian and Moldavian, respectively) the importance of correcting them and the impact of such exercises on pre-experience learners. Dermatoscopy is a method of in vivo evaluation of the structures within the epidermis and dermis. Currently, it may be the most precise pre-surgical method of diagnosing melanocytic lesions. Diagnostic errors may result in unnecessary removal of benign lesions or what is even worse, they can cause early and very early melanomas to be overlooked. Errors in assessment of dermatoscopy can be divided into those arising from failure to maintain proper test procedures (procedural and technical errors) and knowledge based mistakes related to the lack of sufficient familiarity and experience in dermatoscopy. The article discusses the most common mistakes made by beginner or inexperienced dermatoscopists. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper is an attempt to see the most common mistakes high school students make when they learn the difference between direct and indirect speech in the English language. For students who are not native English speakers, converting sentences from direct to indirect speech can be problematic because there is a number of rules that must be followed. Based on the essays and homework they had written throughout their high school education, I analyzed the mistakes they made with reported speech, which mistakes were most common and possible reasons why they made these mistakes.

The problems of studying isolated circumstances and definitions in a primary school in preparation for the state final certification are revealed. The results of the analysis of theoretical material and exercises on the topic Separation of circumstances and definitions in various educational and methodological complexes in the Russian language and manuals for preparing for the Unified State Exam are presented, the results of the performance of the Unified State Exam tasks by these high school students on these topics are presented. It is noted that the average percentage of completion of these tasks remains low over recent years. The most common errors in isolating circumstances and definitions were identified, the frequency cases of the misuse of the participles and germs were considered, the possible causes of typical errors were identified, and exercises of an analyticalspeech nature aimed at minimizing them were proposed., №4 (2019)

Translation in the tourist sector has received little attention in the academic context of specialized translation, despite the importance of translation mediating between local and foreign cultures and the meaningful role for the economy in some countries like Spain. In this context, this paper intends to emphasize the relevance of translation in the tourist sector and, in turn, to analyse the common features and mistakes that are frequently encountered in tourist texts involving Spanish, English and German language. Likewise, it proposes a series of possible solutions to improve the quality of this kind of specialized translations and, thus, to ensure a good relationship between source and target cultures. LESSON planning ,TEACHER training ,EFFECTIVE teaching ,LEARNING strategies ,SEMINARS - Abstract
Much has been discusses about the importance of writing a lesson plan; nevertheless, this topic will never be obsolete and good teachers will always consider the subject as an important issue in their teaching career. There are teachers who believe that writing a lesson plan is important just for young teachers who need to have a clear idea about what they are going to do in class, while writing a lesson plan by experienced teachers is a waste of time as they already have taught the subject lots of times and know exactly what they have to do about any topic. It has also been stated that not all planned lessons are excellent ones and not all unplanned lessons are a disaster, but even a bad lesson will be less bad if planned, and even a great lesson can be greater with a plan. The aim of this paper is to discuss the importance of writing lesson plans by analyzing the benefits of a good lesson plan and their impact on teachers' development. The topic is also part of a series of sessions presented in teacher training seminars in which the authors have participated as trainers. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

We focus on the problem of ignoring statistical independence. A binomial experiment is used to determine whether judges could match, based on looks alone, dogs to their owners. The experimental design introduces dependencies such that the probability of a given judge correctly matching a dog and an owner changes from trial to trial. We show how this dependence alters the probability of a successful match of dog to owner, and thus alters the expected number of successful matches and the variance of this expected quantity. Finally, we show that a false assumption of independence that results in incorrect probability calculations changes the probability of incorrectly rejecting the null hypothesis (i.e. the Type I error). ABSTRACT With this final degree project we try to deal with so many topics, first of all, we try to explain how important communication and language are in human beings `s life and which are the elements that have to do with them. Secondly, we want to talk about kids from 0 to 3 years old, so we can have a previous knowledge, and study how they evolve. That way, lately, we will be able to focus in the ages between 3 and 6, and see the changes and developments that talking about kid´s language takes. That´s because, both of them are very meaningful for their future. Moreover, during these ages we can perceive if a kid has a disturbance in the way he talks, it is, dislalia. After focusing on what we have just said, we will talk about different aspects of dislalia, so we can study it deeply. Finally, we will also present an educational intervention propose in order to have a correct way of stimulating language at school. For that reason, we want to, and have to take into account that an early and correct prevention, detection and intervention are clutch. Grado en Magisterio en Educación Infantil

Introduction Welcome to Writing for Electronic Media, an OER textbook. OER stands for Open Educational Resource, which means it’s free for all who access. Since it is electronic, I will do what I can to keep it updated with the changing media. People’s viewing habits are changing as they migrate to mobile sources, social media, and kitten videos. Television News is still a dominant #1 source, and radio is still the safest way to stay informed in your car. Hopefully, you already have some journalism background. This book does not teach the who, what, when, where, why, and how of reporting; its goal is to teach how to present the journalism you already know via electronic media, primarily television., https://digitalcommons.usu.edu/oer_textbooks/1002/thumbnail.jpg

Gastronomical ventures tend to be one of the most frequent options at the time of developing a business idea in crisis time. That ́s why it is important to create instruments to help the entrepreneur to reach his/her organizational goals and to increase the company’s market share. Ventures can be developed by the opportunity to expand, such as: Kentucky Fried Chicken (1975), Pizza Hut (1982) y McDonalds (1997); even they are the first ones that arrived in Ecuador with this modality. But it is important to indicate that some gastronomical Ecuadorian ventures have expanded and developed through different locations or franchises, such as Cebiches de la Rumiñahui and Tablita del Tártaro. They can also be developed by necessity, as it has occurred in crisis times around the world and in Ecuador, like the year 1989 with Café de Tere which its owner, Mrs. Teresa de Castro decided to undertake a coffee shop to increase her incomes because her salary that used to earn was not enough for daily payments. Not all ventures have survived in the market, expanding or growing through franchises. Its owners made some common mistakes such as: No wearing hygiene clothes, wrong strategic location, inefficient quality control, lack of technology tools, defining in an incorrect way the concept of the restaurant, and others. But ¿How can be reached the sustainability and development of these gastronomical ventures?

Abstract: The title sequence is the less important part of any movie, although, a huge number of directors, designers and creative directors have worked along the history to transform this introduction imposed by the guilds and the Star System into an interesting piece of art. The value of the credit title should be judged always as a complementary element of the movie, none as an independent one. The designer who wants to start in this art should find in this handbook a general guide with the essential knowledge to allow him the development of the title sequences properly, and overcome the creative and practical challenges he will have to deal with.
