BACKGROUND: Research on carbon nanomaterials in the biomedical field is booming, and related scientific research results are increasing year by year. However, visualization analysis of the annual number of publications, the research status of countries, institutions, authors, and research hotspots and trends in this field is relatively scarce. OBJECTIVE: To present the research status of carbon nanomaterials in biomedical field, reveal the main research subjects, explore the research hotspots and development trends, and provide a reference for the future development of this field. METHODS: The core data set of Web of Science was used as the literature source to search the relevant researches on carbon nanomaterials in the biomedical field from 2012 to 2023. The knowledge map was generated by using Citespace software with countries, institutions, authors, keywords, and co-citations as nodes and for visualization analysis. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) A total of 2 932 papers were included in this study. In the medical field, carbon nanomaterials had a large number of papers and a fast growth rate. The United States has a large number of papers; China is an emerging force in this field, although the number of papers is the largest, but the level of research and influence need to be improved. The Chinese Academy of Sciences is the largest cooperative network institution, which mainly targets domestic institutions and lacks cooperation with well-known foreign institutions. (2) Keyword analysis displays that the green synthesis method and application of displaying carbon points have been the focus of research, followed by the new method of combining carbon nanomaterials with cancer phototherapy and immunotherapy, the key direction of future research. (3) The dynamic development trend of co-citations suggests that tissue engineering is a hot research topic of carbon nanomaterials in the field of biomedicine, mainly including the research of carbon nanomaterials for the repair and regeneration of heart and nerve tissue and as a bio-ink additive for 3D and 4D bioprinting. (4) In the future, with the development of the biomedical field in the direction of precision and treatment, researchers should speed up the creation of carbon-based systems formed by the combination of scientific and effective carbon nanomaterials with science and technology, new polymers or organic molecules, and new therapeutic methods, so as to give full play to the maximum effect of carbon nanomaterials. The superiority of BWM over other weighting methods for obtaining the weight values of the attributes is that it achieves high-confidence results with a reasonable number of pairwise comparisons. Although the best-worst method (BWM) is a well-known multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) method that has been successfully utilized in almost all scientific areas to solve challenging real-life problems, no research has comprehensively examined the state-of-the-art in this regard. The present study depicts a detailed overview of publications concerned with BWM during the period 2015–2022. Based on the information obtained from the Scopus database, this work presents a big picture of current research on BWM. In other words, this paper analyzes the existing literature about BWM and identifies thematic contexts, application areas, emerging trends, and remaining research gaps to shed light on future research agendas aligning with those gaps. Further, the most recent BWM research is analyzed in the top ten scientific areas, from engineering to materials science. “Engineering”, “computer science”, and “business, management, and accounting” are the hottest fields of BWM research. China is the most active country regarding “engineering” and “computer science”, whereas India is the leader in “business, management, and accounting”. The study also reveals that there are still many research gaps in BWM research. The big picture taken in this study will not only showcase the current situation of BWM research but will also positively impact the direction and quality of new research. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study examines research on maqāṣid al-shariī'ah in journals indexed in Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus. As maqāṣid al-shariī'ah plays a vital role in guiding Islamic legal theory and contemporary applications of Islamic law in various sectors of life, familiarity with the scholarly landscape of the field is essential for assessing its growing influence in both academic and practical contexts. Hence, this study aims to explore the trajectory of research in maqāṣid studies, identify its key focus areas, and conduct a document co-citation analysis to uncover patterns in scholarly collaboration and influence. In addition, the study examines contributing countries, organizations, and leading journals in this field. Four Hundred documents published between 2000 and 2022 were retrieved and analyzed using the metrics functionalities of both databases. In addition, advanced analytical tools including Publish or Perish, VOSviewer, and ScientoPy v1.3.5 were utilized to conduct a multifaceted examination that encompasses document co-citation, sources co-citation, and authors' keyword analyses, among others. Data were carefully filtered to include research related to maqāṣid al-shariī'ah as an area of applied Islamic thought and its applications in different disciplines. The findings of the study revealed that research outputs in maqāṣid al-shariī'ah studies span various disciplines including religion, business and economics, science and technology, and medicine among others. The development of publications between 2000 and 2022 for the two databases indicates distinct upward trends in cumulative publications and annual growth. A vibrant and diverse global research landscape exists for maqāṣid al-shariī'ah, with Malaysia and Indonesia leading in terms of productivity and impact. This article presents original findings which may be of significance to researchers in Islamic studies, applied Islamic thought, and related interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary fields. This scientometric study is limited to English journal articles that were published between 2000 and 2022 on maqasid research in Scopus and Web of Science (WoS). Given the dynamic nature of these two databases, where results can fluctuate rapidly due to the continuous addition of new papers or the retraction of existing articles, this study is limited to the datasets that were created at the time of investigation. These limitations might influence the generalizability of the findings.

Food waste is a global challenge, with profound implications for food security, resource utilization, and sustainability. A circular economy represents a promising solution in addressing food waste effectively by keeping food materials and products in use and circulating them within the economy. To provide an overview of the research on food waste and the circular economy model in the past decade, this study examines 1022 documents on food waste and circular the economy to ascertain the state, themes, and knowledge structure of the field. The results showed that the number of publications has increased greatly in the past decade. “Circular economy of food”, “bioenergy”, “waste valorization”, “waste management”, “resource recovery”, and “environmental assessment” were the major research themes. Earlier studies focused on resource recovery from organic waste and the bioeconomy of bio-products; recent research interests shifted to sustainability and the valorization of agri-food waste. On the other hand, some highly cited documents and productive authors were important in the development of research on food waste and the circular economy. Furthermore, three groups of journals—“food and environmental sciences”, “open access”, and “environmental sustainability and resource management”—and five clusters of international collaboration—“European Union Group”, “advanced economy group”, “agricultural economies”, “global influencers”, and “isolated countries”—were identified. This study provides readers with an overview of the research field of food waste and the circular economy.

Since the emergence of digital media in the 1990s, a new realm of interaction between the visual arts and religion has been forged and evolved. The spread of visual media technologies has significantly influenced the study of religious visual art worldwide after the 1990s. Despite this, the field of religious visual art during the digital era is still relatively uncharted, with a notable absence of comprehensive theoretical frameworks. To address this gap, the present paper employs bibliometric methods, conducting a thorough review and analysis of 2544 pieces of international academic literature in the domain of religion and visual arts post-1990s. The analytical framework is structured into three primary sections, each dedicated to answering key questions: (1) what constitutes the inherent relationship in the study of religion and visual art?, (2) what disciplinary context do these interplays occur within?, and (3) in which domains and regions does this interplay predominantly unfold? The outcomes of this rigorous analysis offer valuable insights into interdisciplinary influences and evolving research trends within the realm of religious visual art. These findings stand to benefit art researchers and practitioners, providing a comprehensive overview of potential avenues for the exploration of visual arts with religious themes. Through a systematic investigation, this research endeavors to heighten scholars' awareness of the significance of visual arts in the field of religion and illuminate the interdisciplinary trends at the intersection of religion and visual arts. - Abstract
It has been twenty years since the first special issue on Environmental Entrepreneurship (EE) was published in 1998. Since then, the number of papers on this subject has increased unceasingly. Such a high rate of publications calls for a more quantitative approach to synthesize and evaluate the literature. Therefore, this paper aims to assess the research on EE through a bibliometric study of 267 journal articles published between 1992 and 2019. Data was collected from the Web of Science (WoS) database and analyzed using performance indicators and science mapping. We aim to map the intellectual structure of destination image (DI) research and its theoretical development in two longitudinal periods: firstly, from 2001 and before the outbreak of Covid-19 and approval of vaccines (2001–2020); and secondly, during Covid-19 (2021–2023). This is the first article to use co-citation analysis that focuses solely on DI, identifying the main clusters, intellectual turning points, and citation burst papers in this field. Studying bibliometrics pre- and during Covid-19 can help to understand the impact of the pandemic on research output and the shift in research focus. This methodology expands tourism science by recognising the intrinsic nature of DI from an evaluative and relational point of view. Co-citation refers to the cited not the citing papers. The results in the first period show: 1) theoretical background on DI associated with branding from Destination Management Organisations (DMO); 2) the components of DI and their relationship with visitor behaviour; 3) how the Internet and User-Generated Content (UGC) have become the main sources to perceive DI. Whereas, in the second period, two main shifts have been identified: 1) the impact of the pandemic on tourism and perceived travel risk; 2) the emergence of a new approach focusing on the engagement of people with the destination through life experiences. The conclusions could help suppliers, DMOs, and policymakers to understand the components of DI before and during the pandemic, as well as provide valuable insights for the tourism industry to adapt to the new normal.

International policy agendas are increasingly focusing on the 21st century skills needed by future workers in response to Industry 4.0. In this study, we conduct a bibliometric analysis of 2662 articles published by 6579 authors in the last two decades to understand the structure of the scholarly knowledge in this field. We first identify influential articles, documents, journals and trends in this literature. We use co-citation analysis to identify foundational themes in the development of 21st century skills literature, then using bibliometric coupling, we identify communities in the current research front. We then use co-word analysis to identify future directions in the field. Overall, we find that research on 21st century skills has grown exponentially in the past two decades, however, few researchers focus primarily on this topic. The existing research is primarily dominated by psychologists, education researchers and technology researchers. We also find that specific disciplines such as industrial engineering and nursing are prominent contributors in the field, and that critical thinking and computational thinking are key areas of focus.

- Abstract
Financial engineering is constantly changing and encountering new problems. Financial engineering helps us detect emerging trends and challenges, such as fintech's effect on banking institutions or environmental change, and design novel solutions. Still, many areas remain open to exploring the contribution of FE research in finance. This study has adopted combined qualitative research approaches through bibliometric analysis. The research was conducted from 2007 to 2022. Study findings and conclusions are supported by an analysis of bibliographic coupling, co-occurrence & co-citation of 343 research publications taken from the Scopus database, and analysis was performed using software tools such as VOS-Viewer and Biblioshiny with R Studio. Based on the results of these analyses, the study was able to conclude the trends and characteristics of research on financial engineering in the financial market. The study identifies prominent authors, journals, and institutions using bibliometric analysis. The current study highlighted the most cited research articles and identified the seven most emerging thematic clusters. The originality extracted from research findings compels and motivates extensive research in FE in the future. The emerging areas and themes identified from the study, i.e., (1) FE and adoption of AI & IOT Applications for RM, (2) investment decision and business crisis, and (3) recent developments and mathematical application in risk analysis. The novelty of the study lies in its focus on financial engineering in emerging financial markets, the adoption of a bibliographic overview methodology, the integration and evaluation of previous research, the identification of trends and research gaps, and its value as a resource for researchers and practitioners. These aspects make it a unique and valuable contribution to the field of financial engineering. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The multiracial population is on a constant rise, such that 10.21% of the U.S. population identified as multiracial in 2020, and projections predict it will increase to 20% of the U.S. population by 2050. Scholars have highlighted that multiracial individuals have multiple racial identities, or their racial identity is context dependent on various factors such as phenotype or the assumptions of others. As scholars attempt to understand multiracial identity, it is vital to review literature systematically. Based on a database of 1,787 documents, a document co-citation and bibliographic coupling analysis were conducted. With 108 and 101 documents visualized, the past three decades of multiracial identity research are delineated. Clusters revealed that the foundational and current structure of the field has predominantly studied the diverse racial patterns of multiracial identification, the categorization of multiracial individuals, and the implications on psychological outcomes. A summative content analysis further revealed methodological approaches, operationalizations of the term multiracial, and journals frequently published in more current research. Results revealed a "one-stop overview" of multiracial identity research and provided insight into existing gaps for scholars to continue investigating, as it seems essential to the ever-growing multiracial populations' well-being and inclusion. Background and aim: One of the important applications of scientometrics is the drawing scientific maps, which is done using various techniques, including co-citation. The aim of this study was to draw a scientific map or the intellectual structure of the sponsorship in sports in the Web of Science (WoS). Materials and methods: This scientometric study was conducted using co-citation analysis. The statistical population of the current study was all research articles in the field of sponsorship in sports during 2002-2022, indexed in the WoS and used the keyword "Sponsorship in sports". After the data were extracted from the database, they were analyzed using the VOSviewer software and the co-citation method. Findings: The scientific map of sponsorship in sports consists of 5 thematic clusters (sports sponsorship, financial sponsorship, sports, impact and performance) related to financial sponsorship in sports. The number of words studied showed that the topics published in the journal had a diverse thematic distribution. The distribution graph of vocabulary degree was of power type, indicating that a large number of words co-occur in different articles and a smaller number of words located at the end of the degree distribution graph or at the beginning of it had few co-occurrences of words. In addition, based on the number of societies formed, it was found that the authors of the articles tended to form small scientific groups in the form of universities or research institutes of their respective organizations. Conclusion: Foreign research considers the existence of a competitive structure in the economy of countries as a driving factor for the development of financial support for sports, but domestic research has examined the factors that prevent the attraction of financial support.

BUSINESS models ,SUSTAINABILITY ,STRATEGIC planning ,STAKEHOLDERS ,INNOVATION management - Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to study the stakeholder involvement strategies in business models for sustainability (BMfS) themes. The methodology is a bibliometric analysis: co-citation analysis is used to find the BMfS themes in which stakeholders are involved. Then, a systematic literature review is conducted to interpret the themes. Preliminary results show that the BMfS themes are business orientation at the strategic level; relationships, capabilities, technologies and communication at the organizational and process level; and innovation and impacts as outcomes. In these themes there are: absence of involvement strategy, in which corporate efforts are directed toward creating stakeholder impact, e.g., using communication; collaborative strategy, in which organizations use stakeholder management to mitigate external impacts establishing long relationships; and cooperative strategy, in which organisation use stakeholder engagement for both the company and stakeholders to gain mutual benefits, building new capabilities and integrating sustainable development within organisation and society. Through a systematic investigation, this research endeavors to heighten scholars’ awareness of the significance of visual arts in the field of religion and illuminate the interdisciplinary trends at the intersection of religion and visual arts.

Mapping fields using co-citation information is a common endeavour in many disciplines but has rarely been performed in the humanities. In this article, I use data from 417 back-of-book source indices to map the field of ancient Mediterranean religion on three levels: sub-discipline, ancient work, and references in ancient works. The method innovatively makes use of primary text references, rather than research articles, to construct the co-citation network. After mapping the overall relationships between sub-disciplines, I show how the data can be used to identify two types of ancient works that bridge these sub-disciplines: works which are central for the whole network, and works which are not central overall but cited more often with specific sub-disciplines. The article provides an understanding of the structure of the field of ancient Mediterranean religions, and more generally on the challenges and advantages of methods to map scholarship in historical disciplines.
