To evaluate the clinical effect of Chanfuan capsule combined with cefuroxime axetil and oxytocin in the treatment of postpartum lochia. Methods: 108 patients with postpartum lochia were randomly divided into control group and observation group, 54 cases in each group. The control group was treated with cefuroxime axetil combined with oxytocin for symptomatic treatment, and the observation group was treated with Chanfu 'an capsule on this basis. Both groups were treated continuously for 2 weeks. The clinical efficacy, the time of disappearance of uterine tenderness, disappearance of lumbar and abdominal heavy fall, hemostasis and end of lochia, hemorheological indexes, serum sex hormones levels before and post-treatment were compared between the two groups, and the incidence of adverse reactions during treatment was counted. Results: The total effective rate of the observation group was 92.59% higher than that 72.22% of the control group (P<0.05). The time of disappearance of uterine tenderness, disappearance of lumbar and abdominal heavy fall, hemostasis and end of lochia in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group (P<0.05). Compared with pre-treatment, the levels of plasma viscosity, whole blood high tangential viscosity, hole blood low tangential viscosity, progesterone (P) and ẞ-human chorionic gonadotropin (β-hCG) in the two groups decreased post-treatment, and the decrease in the observation group was more significant, while the level of estradiol (E2) increased, and the increase in the observation group was more significant (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (5.56% vs 3.70%) (P>0.05). Conclusion: The combination of Chanfuan capsule with cefuroxime axetil and oxytocin can improve clinical symptoms, shorten the duration of lochia, improve hemorheology and serum sex hormone levels in the treatment of postpartum lochia patients, with accurate efficacy and high safety. The synthesis and characterization of chitosan encapsulated copper oxide nanocomposites (CuNPs) using plant extracts for the photocatalytic degradation of second-generation antibiotics, cefixime and cefuroxime, were investigated. The study revealed that the presence of diverse chemical components in the plant extract significantly influenced the size of the CuNPs, with transmission electron microscopy (TEM) showing spherical shapes and sizes ranging from 11–35 nm. The encapsulation process was confirmed by an increase in size for certain samples, indicating successful encapsulation. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analysis further elucidated the chemical makeup, confirming the valency state of Cu2+ and the presence of Cu–O bonding, with no contaminants detected. Photocatalytic activity assessments demonstrated that the copper oxide nanocomposites exhibited significant degradation capabilities against both antibiotics under UV light irradiation, with encapsulated nanocomposites (EnCu30) showing up to 96.18% degradation of cefuroxime within 60 min. The study highlighted the influence of chitosan encapsulation on enhancing photocatalytic performance, attributed to its high adsorption capability. Recycling studies confirmed the sustainability of the Cu nanocomposites, maintaining over 89% degradation rate after five consecutive cycles. This research underscores the potential of green-synthesized CuNPs as efficient, stable photocatalysts for the degradation of harmful antibiotics, contributing to environmental sustainability and public health protection. Current investigations aim to develop and validate an accurate, simple, specific, and precise RP‐HPLC method for the detection of cefuroxime axetil, in bulk and tablet dosage forms. Despite extensive literature reviews, no method could be found for estimating the variables mentioned above. The chromatographic separation is achieved on Sunfire C18 column (250 mm × 4.6 mm, 5 µm) of HPLC (Agilent Tech 1100), with 5 µm mobile phase composed of methanol, orthophosphoric acid (0.05%) adjusted to a pH of 3.0 in water, 40:60% v/v triethylamine using isocratic mode of elution, at wavelength 278.0 nm using UV Spectrophotometer, temperature 25 °C, detection is done. The developed method is done as per ICH guidelines. A linear calibration curve is found to be linear in concentrations between 1 and 5 µg mL−1 (r2 = 0.9995). The percentage recoveries of cefuroxime axetil are found to be in the range of 95.68–96.98%. The percentage of relative standard deviations in intraday trials is found to be 0.61, 0.66, and 0.88, respectively, and in interday studies are 0.06, 0.16, and 0.29, respectively, demonstrating good accuracy and little variance. The proposed method is highly sensitive, robust, precise, accurate, and the use of green solvents makes this method safe and efficacious. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract Background The present study revealed the grafting of extracted oleo gum resin of Boswellia serrata with polyacrylamide by conventional method with a principle of radical polymerization by using potassium per sulfate/ascorbic acid as redox initiator. A series of copolymer were synthesized using varying concentration of acrylamide at varying temperature. The optimum ratio for grafting was selected (1:2.5), on the basis of percent grafting and grafting efficiency. The grafted gum was further used as a nanocarrier to encapsulate cefuroxime axetil for their sustained release. Then, the nanoparticles were further analyzed by FT-IR, scanning electron microscopy, and DLS. The encapsulation efficiency (%), loading capacity (%) and drug content (%) was also calculated. Result The optimized nanoparticles have shown spherical morphology with dimension of 209.4 ± 20.46 nm along with entrapment efficiency (62.47 ± 4.23%), loading capacity (33.57 ± 3.01%) and drug content (89.35 ± 6.47%). The prepared nanoparticles had found to be more stable at 4 °C. The experiential results rationalize the effectiveness of cefuroxime axetil-loaded boswellic acid nanoparticles owing to higher cellular uptake, nonstop intercellular drug withholding and improved antiproliferative effect by initiating apoptosis. Conclusion The significant anti-arthritic effect of developed nanoparticles may be endorsed due to its dimension, encapsulation efficiency, and long-lasting drug release profile. Thus, the developed nanoparticles may assume to be a hopeful formulation for rheumatoid arthritis, which requires further investigation and may recommend a novel track to arthritis patients.
