In the Ottoman Empire, opposition journalism outside the country presented its first examples during the reign of Abdülaziz. Publishing newspapers outside the country reached its peak during the reign of Abdülhamid II due to the repressive political conditions of the period. During these years, pro-Constitution Young Turk groups were organized in centers outside the country. The Young Turks, who turned to press activity to make their political demands known to Istanbul, created an oppositional press and literary movement. The aim of this study is to analyze Abraham Galante's catalog, which is an important document about the newspapers published abroad during the reign of Abdülhamid II. It is very difficult to identify newspapers that opposed the Ottoman court and to have complete access to their collections. The data in Galante's catalog, which he prepared during his years of involvement in the Young Turk movement and his work as a journalist abroad, pioneered studies on the Young Turk press and literature. In this context, Galante's document, which is the first catalog of newspapers published outside the country during the reign of Abdülhamid II, is of great importance. The sizeable music collection from the Osek monastery has previously been interpreted in light of a catalog that was updated 1754–c1802. The completion of a modern catalog allows for a reappraisal of the history of the institution. Previous research has explained the lack of updates in the catalog during the years 1778–1802 with a decline in musical activity following the reforms of Joseph II. The collection, however, suggests that Jan Jakob Trautzl, regens chori since 1783, began his tenure by acquiring sacred works by Johann Baptist Waṅhal which rank among the largest and most ambitious from the era. There is also evidence of local adaptations of masses into polychoral and polyorchestral arrangements. Except for a possible low point during the years 1787–1789, the reforms thus seem to have had limited effect. The failure to accurately represent the collection in the catalog suggests the necessity for a new paradigm for reading such documents. One may preliminarily consider catalogs' limited potential for additions and emendations and understand them as tools for music professionals rather than librarians. Experiments with both four-level and two-level factors have been conducted in many different domains, ranging from engineering to ergonomics. In such experiments, the four-level factors are used in three different ways: as blocking factors, as qualitative factors, or as quantitative factors. However, it was generally not easy for the authors to find an appropriate design for their experiment. A solution to this problem is to use a catalog of designs with a wide range of options. To efficiently use such a catalog, one needs criteria to identify the best designs. We present good criteria for the three different usages of four-level factors, and we apply these criteria to the catalog of Bohyn et al. (J R Stat Soc Ser C: Appl Stat 72:750–769, 2023). Finally, we present tables of four-and-two-level designs that are optimal with respect to the different criteria, for run sizes 16, 32, 64 and 128, with 1, 2, or 3 four-level factors, and up to 20 two-level factors. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the need for digitalization of the evidence base of war crimes of the aggressor country with its subsequent use in international judicial institutions, and also to develop a conceptual framework for generating an e-catalog of missile fragments and debris in the course of identification expert proceedings. The reliability of the results and conclusions obtained is ensured by the use of a set of general scientific and special research methods. In particular, using the dialectical method as a general method of cognition, the author examines the classification and terminological features of expert research on the identification of missiles used against Ukraine; by applying the methods of systematic and comparative analysis, the author reveals an approach to systematization of missile fragments and debris with external (species) and internal (constructive) differentiation of the evidence base material; the use of the methods of formal logic, analogy, and generalization allowed the author to formulate and present the results of forensic examination. The conceptual foundations of generating an e-catalog of missile fragments and debris in the process of identification expert proceedings are revealed. The external (species) and internal (constructive) components of the evidence base of war crimes involving missile weapons are distinguished. A generalized algorithm for missile identification is developed. It is argued that for the purposes of identification of missiles used as an instrument of a war crime and intended to reveal the link “missile – launch vehicle – person who launched a missile from a launch vehicle (perpetrator of the crime) – person(s) who ordered the launch of a missile (organizer, accomplice), the most important classification criteria are those which reveal the type and basing of the launch vehicle and the alleged perpetrator. It has been established that in general, informative fragments and debris are subject to identification by the following criteria: available markings on the body, structural unit, part, fragment, wreckage, etc.; presence of surviving missile compartments; characteristic shapes, colors, etc.; characteristic materials. Definitions are disclosed: “identification of a combat missile”; “e-catalog of missiles as a document”; “fragments of a used missile”; “fragments of a used missile”; “combat missile”. This paper presents the first results from the monitoring of local seismicity in Severnaya Zemlya from the end of 2016 to 2023 inclusive as recorded by a single permanent seismic station installed on Bolshevik Island. A total of 73 local seismic events have been identified with P and S phases. We considered the question whether these events could be classified (earthquakes or icequakes) by comparing waveforms and spectral-temporal analysis diagrams with regional earthquakes that have occurred in the archipelago area. The spatio-temporal distribution and the rate of migration for the events show that glacial events can arise by stress release in glaciers as shallow crustal earthquakes occur within ~30 km. It is shown that, when a seismograph network is difficult to deploy, even a single permanent seismic station can furnish useful information on glacial events and crustal earthquakes. Catalogs are the keys that open library collections to the researcher. It is a list of information sources organized according to a certain system. It can be defined as a set of organized lists that reveal the existence of information centers, show the bibliographic information of information sources, and list the bibliographic information in a certain order. The main goal of the library catalog is to enable researchers to access information resources effectively and efficiently, to make it easier for them to find the resource they are looking for, and to display the publications or resource formats in the collection. Today, catalogs include bibliographic records created under AACR1, AACR2, RDA and various other national rules. Hybrid cataloging is the renewal of a non-RDA bibliographic record, either manually or with the help of an automation program. The resulting bibliographic record is not considered an RDA record, but a hybrid record in which it blends elements of previous applications with existing RDA applications. This study was conducted to evaluate how libraries can bring old MARC 21 data cataloged according to previous cataloging rules, such as the Anglo-American Cataloging Rules (AACR) 1st and 2nd editions, into compliance with RDA and the status of hybrid records of library catalogs. BackgroundResearch centers and programs focused on dissemination and implementation science (DIS) training, mentorship, and capacity building have proliferated in recent years. There has yet to be a comprehensive inventory of DIS capacity building program (CBP) cataloging information about activities, infrastructure, and priorities as well as opportunities for shared resources, collaboration, and growth. The purpose of this systematic review is to provide the first inventory of DIS CBPs and describe their key features and offerings.MethodsWe defined DIS CBPs as organizations or groups with an explicit focus on building practical knowledge and skills to conduct DIS for health promotion. CBPs were included if they had at least one capacity building activity other than educational coursework or training alone. A multi-method strategy was used to identify DIS CBPs. Data about the characteristics of DIS CBPs were abstracted from each program's website. In addition, a survey instrument was developed and fielded to gather in-depth information about the structure, activities, and resources of each CBP.ResultsIn total, 165 DIS CBPs met our inclusion criteria and were included in the final CBP inventory. Of these, 68% are affiliated with a United States (US) institution and 32% are internationally based. There was one CBP identified in a low- and middle-income country (LMIC). Of the US-affiliated CBPs, 55% are embedded within a Clinical and Translational Science Award program. Eighty-seven CBPs (53%) responded to a follow-up survey. Of those who completed a survey, the majority used multiple DIS capacity building activities with the most popular being Training and Education (n=69, 79%) followed by Mentorship (n=58, 67%), provision of DIS Resources and Tools (n=57, 66%), Consultation (n=58, 67%), Professional Networking (n=54, 62%), Technical Assistance (n=46, 52%), and Grant Development Support (n=45, 52%).ConclusionsTo our knowledge, this is the first study to catalog DIS programs and synthesize learnings into a set of priorities and sustainment strategies to support DIS capacity building efforts. There is a need for formal certification, accessible options for learners in LMICs, opportunities for practitioners, and opportunities for mid/later stage researchers. Similarly, harmonized measures of reporting and evaluation would facilitate targeted cross-program comparison and collaboration.

The Komodo dragon (Varanus komodoensis) of East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, is an endemic species protected by Indonesian law, mostly due to its population size and limited distribution. The natural distribution of the Komodo dragon is limited to Komodo National Park and several areas on the island of Flores and its surroundings. However, increasing population and tourism in its natural habitat might increase the conflict between the Komodo dragon and humans. To study the impact of human activities on the behavior of the Komodo dragon, we constructed an ethogram to catalog the behavioral inventories of the Komodo to enable future quantitative comparison. The Komodo dragon ethogram was obtained from observations in Loh Buaya and Loh Baru Resorts, Rinca Island, Komodo National Park. Observations were made on 10 adult males, 13 adult females, 12 juveniles, and 3 hatchlings Komodo dragons. Data were collected during July-September 2019, February-March 2020, and June-September 2020. Based on observations, observed behavior was grouped into 9 categories based on their function. Detection of weak signals remains challenging in astrophysics. This is particularly applicable in the investigation of Forbush events. There is thus, a paucity of catalogs of small-amplitude Forbush decreases (FDs). Detail investigations of the space-weather implications of small FDs are, thus, lacking in the literature. Recently, large catalogs of weak FDs, for the first time, have been published. This work employs the newly created lists of small-amplitude FDs to investigate the statistical link between small FDs and solar-geomagnetic variables. The solar-geomagnetic variables were obtained from the OMNI database. A simple coincident R software code was employed in matching the related solar-geomagnetic variables with the weak Forbush events. The FD dates were taken as the input signal. Scatter plots of FDs against interplanetary magnetic field (IMF), solar wind speed (SWS), planetary K-index (Kp) and planetary A-index (Ap) reveal a negative relationship, while that of FDs against disturbance storm time index (Dst) shows a positive relationship. Statistical significance of these relations were tested. The small-amplitude FDs and solar-geomagnetic variables at Potchefstroom (PTFM) station register statistically significant relations. Non-statistically significant correlation between the small-amplitude FDs and solar-geomagnetic variables were obtained at South Pole (SOPO) station, with the exception of FD-SWS that reveals statistically significant correlation. The differences in the correlation results obtained at the two stations (PTFM and SOPO) could be attributed to the differences in the characteristics of the NM stations. Conventionally, specimen dealers' business publications have not been discussed in the same light as their academic writing. The present study, however, examines the catalogs of butterfly specimens issued by the company Dr. O. Staudinger & A. Bang-Haas to elucidate the latent dynamics that shaped intellectual discourse and commercial ventures. By the end of the nineteenth century, the pricing by Staudinger & Bang-Haas was widely accepted as the benchmark within the German entomological community. The company's exclusive control over the entomological market had two outcomes. First, the establishment of standard prices facilitated the global circulation of specimens by providing a convenient tool to assess the marketability of butterflies. It convinced entrepreneurs in faraway regions of the prospects of collecting for the transnational supply chain of natural history. This was the case for Meiji Japan (1868-1912), where the business opportunity presented by the price margins between Japan and Europe lured ambitious local entrepreneurs into the trade. Second, Staudinger's price lists effectively conjured epistemic authority from his market position. The company's catalogs and the dealer's academic publications, sharing the same readership, worked in tandem to create a school in systematics. The absence of a unified system of classification, the proliferation of taxonomic novelties, the heavy selling of specimens collected from far and wide, all worked in favor of the catalogs. Their readers put the company's commercial prints on a par with Staudinger's academic publications, enabling him to sustain his epistemic authority through his privileged access to this alternative channel of communication. The paper examines the knowledge and practices of catalogers at the City of Cape Town Metropolitan Public Libraries (CCTML). The study aims to understand the extent to which catalogers understand current and emerging cataloging practices and to make recommendations for improving practice. The extent of access and the use of library resources depends greatly upon the quality of the library catalog. The following research questions were formulated: what cataloging knowledge do catalogers of CCTML have? How is cataloging carried out in CCTML? What challenges do catalogers of CCTML experience in cataloging library resources? Qualitative approach and case study design were employed. The population of the study was made of 6 catalogers. Data was collected through the focus group interview. Findings indicated that catalogers had knowledge of cataloging standards. They downloaded the catalog records from the OCLC although, they also created original catalog records in case they did not find the matching manifestations on OCLC. Moreover, they experienced challenges of assigning subject headings for non-roman scripts, allocation of the correct classification notation and the advanced use of the cataloging standards. Predicting the impacts of coronal mass ejections (CMEs) is a major focus of current space weather forecasting efforts. Typically, CME properties are reconstructed from stereoscopic coronal images and then used to forward model a CME's interplanetary evolution. Knowing the uncertainty in the coronal reconstructions is then a critical factor in determining the uncertainty of any predictions. A growing number of catalogs of coronal CME reconstructions exist, but no extensive comparison between these catalogs has yet been performed. Here we develop a Living List of Attributes Measured in Any Coronal Reconstruction (LLAMACoRe), an online collection of individual catalogs, which we intend to continually update. In this first version, we use results from 24 different catalogs with 3D reconstructions using Solar Terrestrial Relations Observatory observations between 2007 and 2014. We have collated the individual catalogs, determining which reconstructions correspond to the same events. LLAMACoRe contains 2,954 reconstructions for 1,862 CMEs. Of these, 511 CMEs contain multiple reconstructions from different catalogs. Using the best‐constrained values for each CME, we find that the combined catalog reproduces the generally known solar cycle trends. We determine the typical difference we would expect between two independent reconstructions of the same event and find values of 4.0° in the latitude, 8.0° in the longitude, 24.0° in the tilt, 9.3° in the angular width, 0.1 in the shape parameter κ, 115 km/s in the velocity, and 2.5 × 1015 g in the mass. These remain the most probable values over the solar cycle, though we find more extreme outliers in the deviation toward solar maximum. Plain Language Summary: Coronal mass ejections (CMEs) are large explosions from the solar atmosphere that propagate out through space. Knowing where they are going is important for predicting space weather. We have satellites staring at the Sun from different directions, which we can use to reconstruct the 3D location and orientation of a CME. A few groups have routinely reconstructed nearly every CME over long time spans, other groups reconstruct tens of events for smaller, focused studies. Here we collect as many reconstructions as we can find for CMEs that occurred between 2007 and 2014. We match the reconstructions between catalogs, producing a new catalog, LLAMACoRe, that contains 1,862 CMEs with at least one reconstruction. Five hundred and eleven CMEs have more than one reconstruction. We compare the behavior of this set to previously known trends and find good general agreement. For the cases with multiple reconstructions, we can quantify how much uncertainty we expect in the reconstructed values, which should be a useful metric for forecasters. We find that the most probable uncertainty in each parameter tends to remain relatively constant over time. When the Sun becomes more active and releases more energetic CMEs there are more outlier cases, but most cases remain at lower values. Tsunamis can have devastating consequences for coastal communities. Yet hazards from future tsunamis are difficult to quantify due to their rarity in the instrumental record. Statistical earthquake catalogs have previously been used to quantify tsunami hazards. For the first time, we use a physics‐based synthetic earthquake catalog to assess probabilistic tsunami hazard in a local region. We analyze a 30,000‐year catalog to capture a wide range of the source complexity evident in tsunamigenic earthquakes. We produce models of land‐surface displacements and subsequent tsunamis from 2,585 earthquakes with magnitude > MW 7.0. Modeled slip of the Hikurangi and Tonga‐Kermadec subduction thrusts generated maximum wave heights at the coast of up to 28 m and these earthquakes pose the greatest tsunami hazard along New Zealand's coastline. The results provide a "proof of concept" for using earthquake simulators for probabilistic tsunami hazard models. They further present a platform upon which next‐generation probabilistic tsunami inundation models may be constructed. Our study represents the first time that a physics‐based synthetic earthquake catalog has been used to assess probabilistic tsunami hazard. We model the tsunamis generated from 2,585 earthquakes which have magnitudes greater than 7.0 from 30,000 years of a synthetic catalog of earthquakes nucleating on both the subduction zones and crustal faults through New Zealand. Tsunami wave heights at the coast of up to 28 m were recorded. Additional analysis indicates that modeled earthquakes on the Hikurangi and Tonga‐Kermadec subduction thrusts pose the greatest hazard along many parts of New Zealand's coastline. Biological databases serve as a global fundamental infrastructure for the worldwide scientific community, which dramatically aid the transformation of big data into knowledge discovery and drive significant innovations in a wide range of research fields. Given the rapid data production, biological databases continue to increase in size and importance. To build a catalog of worldwide biological databases, we curate a total of 5825 biological databases from 8931 publications, which are geographically distributed in 72 countries/regions and developed by 1975 institutions (as of September 20, 2022). We further devise a z-index, a novel index to characterize the scientific impact of a database, and rank all these biological databases as well as their hosting institutions and countries in terms of citation and z-index. Consequently, we present a series of statistics and trends of worldwide biological databases, yielding a global perspective to better understand their status and impact for life and health sciences. An up-to-date catalog of worldwide biological databases, as well as their curated meta-information and derived statistics, is publicly available at Database Commons (https://ngdc.cncb.ac.cn/databasecommons/).

Malthesis is a Cantharidae genus with a history of ambiguous systematic placement, being sometimes classified within Malthininae and currently placed in Chauliognathinae, sometimes as a probable synonym of Chauliognathus. Part of the problem is a complete lack of knowledge about the identity of their type species, M. ater, from Colombia. The current generic placement is based on the identity of the subsequently described Malthesis species which, in turn, have never been compared with M. ater. One specimen belonging to the type series of M. ater, here designated as the lectotype, has been located at the Zoological Museum of M. V. Lomonosov State University (Moscow, Russia) and the identities of the species and genus could finally be assessed. Here, M. ater is redescribed in detail based on the study of the aforementioned lectotype and additional specimens from Colombia. The morphological study of the species confirms that most of the subsequently described species are indeed congeneric with M. ater, and enables a reliable placement of the genus within Chauliognathinae: Chauliognathini. In addition, a fully updated catalog of all the 38 currently valid species and subspecies of Malthesis is given to ease their future taxonomic studies.

In the current rapidly developing era of technology and telecommunications, promotional media has become a crucial factor in business, particularly for furniture stores. Although the use of sales catalogs in print media is already common, it often leaves customers dissatisfied because it is only two-dimensional and requires a visit to the store. Therefore, more attractive and innovative promotional media is necessary to increase the appeal and sales value of a store. One technology that can be utilized for this purpose is Augmented Reality (AR) technology, which combines the real and virtual worlds in an Android-based catalog. A catalog application with AR technology can display furniture products in real-time and facilitate customers in selecting furniture by presenting a 3D image of the product from various angles. The Earth Sciences Museum of the University of Bari (Italy) boasts the presence of a precious and complete nineteenth-century collection of white marbles and colored stones used by the Romans to embellish their buildings and, afterward, reuse in new buildings and artworks for their high symbolic and aesthetic value. This collection, arranged by Francesco and Filippo Belli, consists of 577 samples and a printed inventory and other documents, which allowed to reconstruct the history of the collection. Another collection of 29 marble samples was donated to the museum in 2010 by the Armenise family. Both collections represent a very useful reference tool in provenance studies for marble pieces at the archaeological and artistic sites and for samples of other collections. The systematic organization of these collections and their sharing among scholars, especially through the web network, is clearly essential. The work presented here focuses on the most recent discoveries about Belli’s collection, on the results of the identification of Armenise’s marbles and stones, and above all, on the actions undertaken in recent years in order to valorize this museum’s heritage. Specifically, both collections were reorganized following novel insights about lithotypes and the provenance of each sample, a detailed database including data on each sample was created, and a website reporting information and images of the two collections was built in order to guarantee the correct dissemination of data.

Статья посвящена неизвестному рисунку Василия Ивановича Сурикова, обнаруженному в коллекции Красноярского краевого краеведческого музея. Несколько лет назад на негативах с видами выставки «Уголок В.И. Сурикова» 1916 и 1924 годов удалось рассмотреть неизвестный ранее рисунок, информация о котором отсутствует в каталогах работ художника. В 2019 году утерянный рисунок великого русского живописца обнаружен в фондах Красноярского краевого краеведческого музея. Работа В.И. Сурикова была неправильно атрибутирована, находилась среди графических произведений красноярского художника Дмитрия Иннокентьевича Каратанова и именно под авторством последнего был записана в учетные книги музея.

Presented as a video slideshow, the ongoing work A Catalog of American Things borrows the notion of the encyclopedia—an “exhaustive” record of the world. Alternately sardonic and deadpan, the work consists of original photographs overlaid with text and is itself an active archive with the potential to be continuously added to and updated. The attempt to catalog “American things” (from government policies to consumer goods) highlights the impossibility of including everything. What is intentionally omitted or missing due to the subjectivity of organizing material? What are the limitations of a catalog and its presumption to be an “official” document?

This paper is an extension of the study by Khamitov et al. (2022) with regard to the catalog and the astrophysical interpretation of the imitation of significant proper motions in active galactic nuclei (AGNs) and quasars based on data from the Gaia space observatory. We present a sample of SRG/eROSITA X-ray sources in the eastern Galactic hemisphere () having significant proper motions in the Gaia EDR3 measurements with the confirmed extragalactic nature of the objects. The catalog consists of 248 extragalactic sources with spectroscopically measured redshifts. The catalog includes all of the objects available in the SIMBAD database and coincident with the identified optical counterpart within 0.5 arcsec. Eighteen sources with spectroscopically measured redshifts from observations with the Russian–Turkish 1.5-m telescope RTT-150 (Khamitov et al. 2022) have been additionally included in the catalog. The sources in the catalog are AGNs of various types (Sy1, Sy2, LINER), quasars, radio galaxies, and star-forming galaxies. The imitation of significant proper motions can be explained (by the VIM effect previously known in astrometry) by the presence of transient events on the line of sight in the vicinity of AGNs and quasars (within the Gaia optical resolution element). Among such astrophysical events are supernova outbursts, tidal disruption events in binary AGNs, the variability of high-mass supergiants, the presence of OB associations against the background of AGNs with a variable brightness, etc. The model of outbursts with a fast rise–exponential decay profile allows the variable positional parameters of most sources observed in Gaia to be described. This approach can be used as an independent way of detecting transient events in the vicinity of AGNs (on scales of several hundred parsecs in the plane of the sky) based on data from the SRG/eROSITA catalogs of X-ray sources and the optical Gaia catalog. The Earth Sciences Museum of the University of Bari (Italy) boasts the presence of a precious and complete nineteenth-century collection of white marbles and colored stones used by the Romans to embellish their buildings and, afterward, reuse in new buildings and artworks for their high symbolic and aesthetic value. This collection, arranged by Francesco and Filippo Belli, consists of 577 samples and a printed inventory and other documents, which allowed to reconstruct the history of the collection. Another collection of 29 marble samples was donated to the museum in 2010 by the Armenise family. Both collections represent a very useful reference tool in provenance studies for marble pieces at the archaeological and artistic sites and for samples of other collections. The systematic organization of these collections and their sharing among scholars, especially through the web network, is clearly essential. The work presented here focuses on the most recent discoveries about Belli's collection, on the results of the identification of Armenise's marbles and stones, and above all, on the actions undertaken in recent years in order to valorize this museum's heritage. Specifically, both collections were reorganized following novel insights about lithotypes and the provenance of each sample, a detailed database including data on each sample was created, and a website reporting information and images of the two collections was built in order to guarantee the correct dissemination of data. Galaxy Stone is a company that is engaged in the craft of various products made from natural stones with the main product, washbasin. When a pandemic happens, the interest in washbasin increase. At the same time, many target audiences still did not know about Galaxy Stone, which caused a lack of trust from the target audience. Also, the target audience feels difficulties when looking at the Galaxy Stone catalog because they did not know the differences between every product. To solve the problems above, branding needs to be made to build the brand image as a store that sells customizable interior products to provide customer comfort. Also, a catalog website that contains products catalog with comparison features is needed. Before making this design, several methods were used to collect data, namely observation, questionnaire, interviews, documentation, and literature studies. The concept in the design is minimalist so the brand looks elegant and luxurious. The media that are used in this design are stationary, social media, website, and marketplace. Second addition to the Afrotropical Dolichopodoidae (Diptera) Catalog (2018) and its supplement (2020) includes new species, new synonyms and new records published mainly in 2021–2022 and in few papers published earlier or later. A new species Syntormon drakei Grichanov, sp. nov. is described from Kenya, based on earlier misidentification. The list contains addition of 36 species, and exclusion of five names placed in synonymy and two non- Afrotropical species (Pseudohercostomus echinatus, Syntormon fuscipes), resulting in a new total of 844 (including 14 doubtful) dolichopodoid species and subspecies in the Afrotropical fauna.

The Vrancea seismic zone, located in the bend region of the South-Eastern Carpathians, is a unique area with both crustal and intermediate-depth seismic activity and is known as one of the most active seismic area in Europe. Moderate crustal seismicity is recorded all over the Carpathian region, but the far more intense activity occurs in a small subcrustal seismogenic volume beneath the SE‐bend of the Carpathian arc with about 20 × 50 km lateral and 110 km vertical extent (70–180 km depth). A unique slab geometry, likely preserved until the present, causes stress localization due to the slab bending and subsequent stress release resulting in large mantle earthquakes in the region. The main focus of this study is to determine the focal mechanisms for events with a magnitude larger than 2.7, between 2005 and 2020 and evaluate the current stress field along the Vrancea subcrustal region, from the derived fault plane solutions. The main style of faulting for Vrancea subcrustal events presents a predominant reverse one, with two main earthquakes categories: the first one with the nodal planes, oriented NE–SW parallel with the Carpathian Arc and the second one with the nodal planes, oriented NW–SE perpendicular on the Carpathian Arc. The results of stress inversion indicate a dominant thrust faulting style, with an average stress regime index of 2.87. The stress pattern shows similar partitioning with vertical extension in the slab and no preferred orientation in the overlying crust, showing a transition regime from the extensional regime in the Moesian Platform to the compressional regime in the Vrancea subcrustal zone. The microcaddisfly (Trichoptera: Hydroptilidae) fauna is catalogued from a review of more than 1,300 literature citations through the end of 2020 to include 2,665 currently recognized, valid species in six sub families and 76 genera. Fourteen subspecies are included in the total as well as 23 fossil species and three fossil genera. The family Ptilocolepidae (Trichoptera), also covered in this catalogue, comprises 19 valid species in two genera; two subspecies and two fossil species are included in the total. The monotypic genus Eutonella, currently considered incertae sedis within Trichoptera, was formerly placed in Hydroptilidae and is also included in this catalogue. Genus-group and species-group synonyms are listed. Information on the type locality, type depository, sex of type, distribution by country, and other relevant taxonomic or biological information is included for each nominal species. Summary information on taxonomy, phylog)eny, distribution, immature stages, and biology are provided for each subfamily, tribe, and genus where known. This paper presents the catalog of the genus Plocia Newman 1842 of the Philippines including a description of P. maglanai sp. nov. a new species from Davao De Oro Philippines. The Philippines has four species and three non-nominal subspecies of Plocia wherein majorly are mainly distributed in the Luzon region and two in Mindanao Island. The article includes information about the library’s digital collections and foreign literature in the UniArmenian catalogue. The information about collections on Armenian studies in foreign languages, supported and non-supported languages, and types of foreign language print materials available at the National Library of Armenia is presented. The article also discusses the value of foreign language literature and how in demand it is in Armenia, as well as the role and importance of foreign language Armenian press and what efforts are being done in that direction. A summary is provided on how much the National Library of Armenia has contributed to the replenishment of foreign language collections according to statistics of the last ten years, when the greatest number of foreign language literature was acquired, as well as what unique books are kept in the collection. TFCat (Time-Frequency Catalogue) is a data interchange format based on JSON (JavaScript Object Notation), which has been initially designed for exchanging low frequency radio events and features. It defines several types of JSON objects and how they are combined to represent data related to temporal-spectral features of a time spectrogram (a.k.a., dynamic spectrum), their properties, and their temporal and spectral extents. This implementation is inheriting from the GeoJSON file format. The TFCat python library is implementing this specification and provides a software interface permitting to create, update and validate TFCat objects efficiently.

ABSTRACT This survey presents an overall view of the order Neuroptera from Brazil. A total of 432 valid extant species of Neuroptera divided into ten families, are recorded from the country. Among the Brazilian fauna, 211 species are endemic (48.8%), with the majority belonging to two families: Chrysopidae with 182 species in 19 genera, and Myrmeleontidae with 88 species in 25 genera. The first species discovered from Brazil was Climaciella semihyalina (Le Peletier & Audinet-Serville), in 1825, by European authors. In fact, European authors entirely dominated the description of Brazilian Neuroptera during the 19th century. Father Longinos Navás from Spain authored the highest number of species described from Brazil, 98, followed by US-American Norman Penny, with 83 species. Sérgio de Freitas, a Brazilian researcher, ranks third, with a total of 50 species described. It was not until the 21st century that the study of neuropterans from Brazil was primarily led by Brazilian-born authors. Primary type specimens of species described from Brazil are predominantly deposited in non-Brazilian institutions (65.7%). The order Neuroptera is distributed across all Brazilian states, except for Alagoas. The two states with the highest neuropteran biodiversity are Amazonas and São Paulo, with 132 and 124 species, respectively. Among the Brazilian biomes, the Mata Atlântica is the most diverse region with 227 known species, followed by the Amazônia with 192 species. Data on immature stages of Neuroptera are scarce and known for only 47 species recorded from Brazil (10.9%).

Purpose: The results of research in continuum decameter-wave radio emission of the Galaxy background, ionized hydrogen regions, supernova remnants, extragalactic discrete sources, extended galaxies, galactic clusters, extragalactic background are given. The aim of this work is reviewing the results achieved for over 50-years of the UTR-2 radiotelescope research of our Galaxy and its population, as well as extragalactic radio sources in the continuum radio emission spectrum at extremely low frequencies for the ground based observations. Design/methodology/approach: The review, analysis, collection of archival data in various publications related to the subjectof this work. Findings: The basic results of studying the ionized hydrogen regions, supernova remnants, Galaxy background emission and its large-scale structure are given, and the maps of these sources are obtained. The catalog of extragalactic discrete radio sources of the most Northern sky part and the cosmological conclusions based on its analysis are described; the estimate of the isotropic extragalactic background brightness temperature is obtained; for the first time, the observational results for the Andromeda galaxy and two galactic clusters Coma and A2255 are given briefly. Conclusions: All the results presented here emphasize the uniqueness and importance of research in the decameter wavelength range, and the large area, flexibility of structure, continuous improvement make the UTR-2 radio telescope an indispensable tool for solving the most important tasks of modern radio astronomy, despite its respectable age. For example, only in the range of 10 to 30 MHz the ionized part of the most common element in the universe, the hydrogen, becomes optically thick and begins to absorb the synchrotron emission on the line of sight, which allows rather easy separation of thermal and non-thermal components of radioemission. This property allows to determine the ionized hydrogen regions’ electron temperature and the electron concentration on the line of sight independently in studying the hydrogen emission regions. When studying the supernova remnants, we can determine the ionized matter location by their spectrum drops ‒ before, inside or behind the remnant. Based on the HB3 supernova remnant radio imagies, an assumption was made on the existence of an ionized hydrogen relic shell aroundit, being caused by the initial ultraviolet flash of a supernova. For the first time, the maps of the Northern sky large-scale structure in the declination range from ‒15° to +85° at extremely low frequencies 10, 12.6, 14.7, 16.7, 20 and 25 MHz for the ground-based observations are published, which, besides their own scientific value, may allow to correct the UTR-2 radio telescope imaging results. Using the full-resolution UTR-2 maps and the developed method of multifrequency T‒T diagrams, it was possible to separate the background radiation into galactic and extragalactic components and construct the spectrum of the latter. From the analysis of the most complete decameter wavelength range catalog of discrete sources, it follows that there is a gap in the redshift spatial distribution for all classes of extragalactic sources. The existence of an ionized hydrogen ring in the Andromeda Nebula disk has been suggested. It is shown that the main partof the galaxy clusters decameter-wave emission comes from haloes and relics.

Detection of transients such as supernovae (SNe) and kilonovae (KNe) in early phase has recently become important for understanding the progenitor properties and multi-messenger astronomy. Predicting which galaxy has the higher probability of hosting the transient events would help detect the early phase of the events and get information on their progenitors. The SN and KN rates are known to be a function of star formation rate (SFR) and stellar mass of the host galaxy. The SFR of a galaxy can be estimated from ultraviolet (UV) luminosity. However, the UV magnitudes have been derived carefully only for a limited number of nearby galaxies. Here, we introduce GALEX galaxy catalog of all-sky UV brightness of low redshift galaxies. To do so, we derive the UV photometry of galaxies in the GLADE catalog using the GALEX AIS images, supplemented by GALEX NGS and MIS data. From the near-UV (NUV) and far-UV (FUV) magnitudes, we calculate the SFRs of the galaxies, which will further be useful for estimating the SN and KN rate. The results are compared with previous GALEX UV catalog of galaxies. There will be an updated catalog based on this catalog for calculating KN rate of the galaxies in the future work.
