This article concerns the management of the Polish mining company Lubelski Węgiel (LW) Bogdanka S.A. The main aim of this paper was to describe the whole process of implementing a process approach to management in one of the most important mining companies in Poland. The objective of the research presented was the incorporation of the process approach in LW Bogdanka S.A. to enhance its management and to improve the effectiveness of its mining process. This paper uses a case study method and presents a practical incorporation of the process approach and its results. The first phase of the proposed solution included building a map of business processes. Then, the research consisted of an analysis of existing processes; the introduction of new solutions, mainly in the field of infrastructure and IT systems; and changing the awareness of key process owners. The motivation for applying this approach was to achieve greater efficiency and continuous improvement in LW Bogdanka S.A. The main results and achievements were not merely limited to the development of a map of processes and subprocesses, but also led to an improvement in organizational structure, changes in approach to company management, a diagnosis of problems in the most important company departments, and the proposal of solutions to them. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected various industries in different ways depending on their type of business. We attempt to understand the impact of the pandemic on the performance of 26 major container carriers. To capture performance differences before and during the pandemic, we collect data the years 2019 and 2020. Further, we divide carriers' business processes into two stages, i.e., asset acquisitions and transport operations. We employ relevant data envelopment analysis (DEA) models to this effect. The mean efficiency score in 2020 was higher than in 2019. Overall, container carriers increased their performance during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, seven companies showed lower efficiency in 2020. Similarly, eight companies were efficient in their operations but not in asset acquisition decisions. Our results show that firm strategy is important in coping with external shocks. The contribution of the paper is in measuring the impact of external shocks, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, on the performance of container carriers, both in regard of their acquisitions and their operations. The article argues that it is expedient to change the approach to the perception of business processes, their analysis and optimization in the context of widespread implementation of information technologies at enterprises. First of all, this requires the use of modelling methods as one of the areas of business process management and can be implemented in the relevant software. Such business process modelling is the process of reflecting a subjective vision of the workflow in the form of a formal model consisting of interdependent operations. Based on a comparison of the features and mechanisms for implementing methods of graphical modelling business processes, the author grouped them, which allowed us to identify, in our opinion, the most modern solutions for modelling business processes, namely, the BPMN and ARIS methods. In particular, the BPMN method is considered to be special in its visual representation of business processes, i.e., it effectively reflects processes at various enterprises using specific symbols and notations that correspond to the complexities of modern business activities. The BPMN graphical style simplifies complex relationships, making it easier to understand processes. For its part, the ARIS method is associated with graphical modeling, performance analysis, integration into other systems, document standardization, change management, and the ability to automate business tasks. Particular attention is paid to the issue of designing visual models of business processes in a more convenient digital format with the help of service designers, which is possible through the use of powerful digital platforms. It is noted that the choice of a particular graphical platform depends on several key factors, including the scale of the enterprise, the level of integration with other systems, the availability of training and support, and the complexity of the processes being modelled. Thus, large enterprises are offered powerful tools (platforms) for managing large projects, including opportunities for collaboration, versioning, and support for complex business processes, while small and medium-sized enterprises are offered simpler solutions with high flexibility and quick implementation. It was found that most of the considered digital platforms for modelling business processes of enterprises support the BPMN method. Given the fact that ARIS graphical tools can be presented in the form of workflow diagrams (BPMN), many of the digital platforms can be easily adapted to use the ARIS method, although in direct use ARIS is used on the Creately and ARIS (IDS Scheer) platforms. Thus, the choice of methods and platforms for modelling business processes of enterprises and their use in the context of digitalization has its own characteristics, which is mainly due to the tasks to be achieved.

In the context of a rapidly changing economic paradigm, the study of this topic acquires strategic importance, emphasizing the need for an analytical approach to the adaptation and development of business processes in the context of digitalization. The article is devoted to an academic review of the stages of development and the role of digital analysis in the modern economy, the study of key aspects of digital analysis, as well as an assessment of its prospects in the context of the modern corporate environment. The purpose of scientific research is to analyze the evolution of digital technologies, identify factors contributing to the formation of digital analysis, as well as assess the impact of this methodology on business processes, strategic management and overall economic dynamics. In writing the paper, analysis and synthesis methods were used to study the evolution of digital technologies, as well as research methods, such as comparative analysis and expert assessments, to identify factors that contribute to the formation of digital analysis and assess its impact on various aspects of the economy. Scientific research has revealed the key stages of the emergence of digital analysis, revealing its essence and role in the modern digital economy. Significant aspects of the impact of digital analysis on business processes and overall economic dynamics were identified. The findings highlight the importance of digital analysis in today’s corporate environment and its potential to improve business processes and strategic decision-making in a rapidly changing economic environment. Further research in this area may include a deeper analysis of the specific applications of digital analysis and its impact on various sectors of the economy. The scientific novelty of the article lies in a comprehensive study of the stages of development, the essence and role of digital analysis in the modern economy, its impact on business processes, strategic management and general economic dynamics. The article opens a discussion about the role of accounting and analytical processes and statistics in the formation of information that provides the possibility of a systematic justification of management decisions and determines the directions for the effective development of economic entities at all levels, allowing to address the issues and problems of economic growth of large economic systems and solving social problems, ensuring a decent standard of living for citizens. Defining the urgent tasks of expanding and improving the quality of information support of management, the authors analyzed the evolution of accounting systems and statistics in Russia both during the centralized economy and during the formation of a market economy, in order to identify the best traditions and assess the widespread use of domestic experience, generalize and expand the best practices, rational use of foreign experience and international methodological documents. The aim of this work was to identify the best traditions, to objectively assess the use of domestic and foreign experience (including international methodological documents) and to summarize the most notable practical achievements in the field under study. The article formulates the urgent task of harmonizing the development of statistics and accounting, determining the main directions for improving the information support of the direction and management systems, and special attention is paid to the expediency of the development of corporate statistics and methodology of accounting processes in corporate structures as the most relevant direction, allowing a more complete and objective assessment of the effectiveness of the country’s economic development.

On the basis of different approaches to defining innovative project management at industrial enterprises, a definition of an innovative research and development project is proposed for high-tech enterprises. Appropriate management approaches for such projects are discussed, including their tactical and strategic aspects, issues of automation, and the associated risks. The study confirms the key role played by information and communication technologies and business strategies in supporting the interaction between the strategic management and the operational management in a printing company. The overall conclusion is that the effective management of printing companies requires the integration of information and communication technologies with business strategies. In general, in order to improve business efficiency, optimise production processes and enhance product quality, the use of ICT in the management of printing companies plays an important role. The integration of human resources, customer relationship management and enterprise resource planning systems with the enterprise information management system allows the creation of a holistic and efficient management system that contributes to the achievement of the company's strategic goals. Digitalization affects business processes in service organizations and manifests itself through the introduction of digital technologies to improve their efficiency. This leads to changes in business processes and, in some cases, to a complete transformation of the company's business model. Economists and experts predict that such changes will affect all companies in the future. The purpose of this study is to improve and implement methods of digitalization of business processes in educational centers to optimize their work, increase productivity and improve interaction with customers. The article analyzes the nature of digitalization in education and considers the application of digitalization in the business processes of educational institutions. The study identified key modern tools for effective modeling of business processes that help improve the efficiency and competitiveness of business processes, as well as the overall performance of the company against the background of digitalization. The research defines main direction of book publishing houses reengineering based on the analysis of successful cases of AI use in publishing business. The timeline of the research started in August 2023 and was summarised in the beginning of January 2024. The main methods were expert interview, monitoring of international and Ukrainian internet platforms, and document analysis. The study showed that the main aspects of business processes reengineering in publishing houses, based on the use of AI, are: (1) development of business strategies and plans; (2) development of digital spaces in publishing houses; (3) emerging of new professions; (4) discussions and their summaries; (5) received manuscripts check; (6) finding plagiarism; (7) preparation of creative, advertising, and presentation materials; (8) working with numbers and databases. The recommendations on the use of AI in business processes are extracted from the policies of the organisations connected with the book publishing industry. They are presented in the convenient table for further use. One of the study results showed that Ukrainian publishing houses discuss the capabilities of AI for generating different types and formats of content, and based on that, AI capabilities for reengineering are considered. One of the biggest challenges, created by AI, is that the technology develops faster than people can perceive so they struggle to describe the technology itself and its impact. It means that we should adjust to the changes, caused by exponential development of AI, finding resources to overcome unequal access to AI capabilities in the process of specialists’ preparation. The purpose of this work is to assess and analyze the impact of environmental and social factors on enterprise management in the context of the integration of environmental standards and social responsibility into business strategies to ensure sustainable development, as well as to increase competitiveness. In the research, monographic, abstract-logical methods, as well as systematization and generalization were applied. The article examines the impact of environmental and social factors on business management strategies, considering their importance in the need to ensure the sustainable development of business and corporate responsibility. The methods and tools of the integration of green technologies, sustainable production and corporate social responsibility into the practice of strategic management have been examined. The particularities of the implementation of these management strategies in various business sectors are considered based on their contribution to the formation of competitive advantage and the promotion of investment attraction. It has been shown that in economic systems in which consumers are increasingly aware of the importance of environmental and social issues, enterprises must actively adapt to these changes, using them as an opportunity for their own development and innovation. It has been demonstrated that the implementation of the environmental component is capable of reducing costs due to the reduction in payment for carbon emissions, the requirements for which will be strengthened in the coming years. At the same time, integration of the social component into business management contributes to the formation of the social capital of the enterprise and leads to an increase in the productivity and effectiveness of the work of the employees. The article is devoted to the topical issues of increasing the corporate social responsibility of business through the introduction of anti-corruption audits at enterprises, the main component of which is analytical procedures. The purpose of the article is to develop a set of analytical procedures in the anti-corruption audit system to ensure the economic security of business entities for individual business processes in order to identify problem areas of the formation of individual corruption risks. As a result of the conducted research, the economic essence of the concept of "analytical procedures" was clarified and their place in the anti-corruption audit system to ensure the economic security of the enterprise was determined; trends of changes in the corruption index in Ukraine were analyzed and a predictive model of its level in the near future was developed; the main areas of risk of corruption that arise in the course of the activity of business structures are substantiated; business indicators that indicate the probability of corruption at the enterprise are determined; analytical procedures for the detection of fraudulent and corrupt actions in the context of individual business processes: procurement, production, sales and in the management system as a whole are systematized. For each analytical procedure, an algorithm for its implementation has been developed, indicating the appropriate methodical techniques. It has been proven that analytical procedures are, on the one hand, an independent block of methods for obtaining audit evidence, and on the other, a part of analytical work that must be carried out both within the scope of audit activity in general and in the process of enterprise management to increase the social responsibility of business and ensuring economic security. The proposed analytical procedures of the anti-corruption audit make it possible to identify corruption schemes in the relevant business processes, to focus the attention of auditors on the relevant areas of corruption risk, ensure the economic security of the enterprise, contribute to the minimization of corruption risks at enterprises, create an analytical basis for the formation of an anti-corruption program of the enterprise, which ultimately lays the foundation for improving the efficiency of the enterprise, sustainable development and improving its business reputation. This research aims to develop a framework for analysing companies' activities related to sourcing consumers' knowledge and apply this framework to the hotel, restaurants, and catering (HoReCa) sector in Poland and the UK. Data collection involves case studies within the HoReCa industry, and the research methodology considers the four key perspectives of companies' activities: (1) the business process, (2) methods of interaction, (3) incentives for knowledge sharing, and (4) ICT support. The research demonstrates that HoReCa companies actively engage consumers through diverse projects, emphasising feedback-related activities. While UK-based companies exhibit more extensive consumer involvement across various business processes, including product development, marketing, and customer service, Poland-based projects focus primarily on consumers' opinions. The study identifies significant differences in interaction methods, incentives, and ICT offerings between the two countries analysed. For academics, the study contributes to the understanding of cross-cultural variations in consumer engagement strategies within the HoReCa sector. The article investigates the impact of digitalisation on business performance in Czech companies during the COVID-19 pandemic. Topics discussed include the effect of digitalisation on business processes, the correlation between digitalisation measures and business sector performance, and the influence of these measures on economic efficiency.

In Jordan, addressing crimes such as corruption, smuggling, and unregulated economic activities through robust legal measures is crucial. These activities can significantly hinder sustainable development by diverting resources, harming the environment, and fostering inequality. In such conditions, the goal is to develop an approach that could assess the influence factors of shadow business on the sustainable development of Jordan. For this, the scientific task should include determining what is the possible connection between sustainable development in Jordan and security in the country. The system of sustainable development of the economic system of Jordan was chosen as the object of study. For this, the methodology involves the application of the method of correlations, the method of variance analysis and the method of nonlinear analysis. PESTLE and SWOT analyzes of the impact of shadow business operations in the region on ensuring sustainable development were conducted. All complex calculations were carried out using special software for working with data analysis. As a result, a detailed analysis was carried out and substantiated conclusions were formulated on the dynamics of the corruption perception index in Jordan. An assessment is made of the state of the country's economic security over the past five years and its impact on sustainable development. Background. The relevance of the study is due to the fact that today one of the most serious fundamental challenges for technology companies is that the needs for computing power are constantly growing. The business environment is increasingly moving towards a new computing paradigm. Quantum technologies may be one of the answers to this challenge. The purpose of the study is to assess the current state of quantum computing and determine the direction of development of this area, as well as obstacles and limitations in the use of quantum technologies. Materials and methods. The empirical basis of the study was research from the AIRI Institute of Artificial Intelligence, as well as research from CaixaBank, TotalEnergies, Quantinuum, authors B.G. Ibrahimov, A.O. Orujov, A.H. Hasanov, K.M. Tahirova in the article "Research and analysis efficiency fiber optical communication lines using quantum technology". Results. The author of this study presents the main advantage of quantum computing, noting that they are based on completely different principles than traditional ones, and will use their own hardware and mathematical base. The study presents the results of research and experiments in the field of quantum computing achieved by oil companies. The work done and the experience gained made it possible to formulate the key challenges for the development of quantum computing in industrial companies. Conclusions. The practical significance of this research lies in the fact that it will allow the business community, as well as government authorities, to develop a development strategy in the new computing paradigm. Will allow companies to develop effective strategies when solving optimization problems and advanced computing architectures.

Objective: To carry out a systematic review of the literature in relation to robotic process automation technology (RPA), applied to the organizational management of Small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) in the manufacturing and services sector, to analyze the integration of complementary technologies aligned with administrative and operational processes. Methodology: The research uses mixed qualitative and quantitative approaches that support exploratory and documentary methodologies. It starts from the research questions, to then define search strategies, list the selected publications and generate systematic data extraction, to finally analyze and conclude based on the findings. Key findings: From a review of 484 articles, 233 in Web of Science (WoS) and 251 in Scopus, it was found that India, China, and Finland are the countries that contribute the most to the use of technology in the sectors investigated. Cyber-physical systems and robotics, big data, IoT and simulation are the pillars of Industry 4.0, with greater application of RPA-associated technologies. Finally, logistic models turn out to have a greater scope for using technologies for the development of activities and tasks in the manufacturing sector. Conclusions: The result and contribution of this exercise shows parameters for the implementation of RPA in the organizational management of SMES in the manufacturing and service sector.

This study is devoted to the issues of ecosystems and the ecosystem approach. The formation and use of marketing ecosystems can simplify both the processes of transformation of technological patterns and the interaction of different types of business models of enterprises. A separate focus is on marketing ecosystems as one of the important innovations of Industry 5.0. The transition from Industry 4.0 to Industry 5.0 is accompanied by the creation of the necessary software and algorithmic base of quantum computing, introduction of technologies for visualisation of management decisions, development of neuromorphic models of enterprise architecture, digital twins of business processes.The purpose of the study is to develop approaches to designing a marketing ecosystem within the framework of Industry 5.0 and Industry 4.0, which is necessary for building effective interactions between innovative enterprises of different business spheres. The article considers the stages of innovative design of new marketing ecosystems, the result of which is the end-to-end integration of information resources of their member enterprises, which is necessary for the consolidation and synchronisation of structured and unstructured data on different business models of companies and the organisation of predictive analytics mechanisms. In the course of the work, the method of scientific analysis of literature on the research problem was applied, and the empirical experience of the authors of the article was used. The results of the study will be useful to all managers of innovative companies as well as the heads and employees of marketing departments of these companies.

The article examines modern methods of increasing the efficiency of companies’ business processes in the context of digital transformation. The relevance of the topic is due to the need for enterprises to adapt to rapid market changes and technological progress. The aim of the work is to study and analyze modern methods of increasing the efficiency of business processes of companies in the era of digital transformation. To achieve this goal, in the course of the study, the authors defined the essence of the concepts of «business process» and «digital transformation», as well as established the relationship between the optimization of business processes and their digital transformation. Thus, it is determined that the manifestation of digitalization of operational activities and, in particular, business processes can be expressed through the use of the following tools: ERP systems, CRM systems, BPM systems, RPA, Internet of Things, Big Data, cloud technologies. The publication allocates the main methods of increasing the efficiency of business processes, such as: outsourcing, benchmarking, engineering, reengineering, merchandising, information and digital technologies, strategic planning, process-oriented management, etc. The experience of such successful companies as Amazon, Walmart, Starbucks, UPS, Microsoft, Procter & Gamble, which have implemented digital tools to increase productivity and reduce operating costs, is analyzed. These companies have been found to have achieved significant results through innovations in the digital sphere. Based on the research, the authors have developed recommendations for the use of digital tools in business practice. The following is proposed as worth to be applied: intelligent learning systems, gamification of business processes, virtual and augmented reality for training and marketing, blockchain technology to ensure transparency of supply chains, interactive reports and dashboards for real-time data analysis, as well as crowdsourcing innovations and microlearning to improve the skills of employees. Thus, the study highlights the importance of a comprehensive approach to digital transformation to ensure the competitiveness and sustainability of companies in today’s environment.

The article identifies the prerequisites for the formation of information and logistic support for oil transport enterprises while leveling threats to their stable functioning, analyzes the updated requirements and prospects for regulating macro- and microeconomic factors. The authors consider their mutual complementation based on the flow nature and the possibility (need) to be updated within certain time limits and functional spaces. It is proved that enterprises can more effectively determine the spatial stages of interaction with partners, reduce the time of information and logistic content in decision-making and implement new functional strategies that reflect the current phase of the life cycle. It is proposed to combine the approaches to the formation of support used in an adaptive combination, since changes in the conditions of the enterprise's activity require significant modifications of the original system of processes. This will help to avoid duplication, overlap and inability to link processes, which contributes to the maximum sharing and reuse of processes. The current trends in the functioning of oil transport enterprises as a supporting component of the country's economic development are studied and the relevant market is analyzed. The study of the infrastructure of oil transport companies is conducted, and it is noted that the main goal is to increase the volume of oil products transportation through main oil pipelines to ensure domestic consumption and transit to European markets. An additional strategic goal is to diversify sources and routes of oil supply to enhance Ukraine's energy security. Another important task is to maintain high standards of service quality and uninterrupted transportation, which requires careful maintenance and improvement of the infrastructure. Approaches to improving the early diagnosis systems of oil transport enterprises through macro- and micro-chains are developed, and key stages are identified for each of them, which become the basis for the formation of normative and logistic support. It is proved that transportation and return to the micro-chain are conditioned by the specifics of the scale and volume characteristic of this area of activity. Each link of the production process corresponds to a specific function aimed at ensuring optimal efficiency within the micro-supply chain.

The purpose of analyzing the transformation of business processes of international companies is to assess their impact on various aspects of the company’s activities in order to increase its competitiveness and sustainable development. Analysis of the transformation of business processes of international companies is relevant in the context of constant changes in the global business environment. The purpose of the analysis is to assess the efficiency, risks and opportunities associated with transformation processes in international companies. The study covers various aspects, including the impact of transformation on productivity, competitiveness, risk tolerance and customer satisfaction. The transformation of business processes helps to increase the efficiency of operations and reduce costs in international companies. The introduction of new methods and technologies allows companies to maintain their competitive advantage in the international market. A clear analysis helps identify and minimize transformation-related risks, such as technological failures or managerial deficiencies. The process optimization helps to increase customer satisfaction and increase customer loyalty. Changes in the business environment require constant updating of business processes to remain competitive. Analyzing the transformation of business processes of international companies is a pivotal stage in achieving success in the face of constant changes and the need to adapt to new market challenges.

The article is devoted to the study of features of the introduction of a risk-oriented approach in the context of the development of quality management systems, which ensures the integration of risk management with the mechanism of enterprise management in compliance with the principles of consistency, economy and coherence of business processes to solve the problems of ensuring their risk tolerance and competitiveness. The article discloses economic essence of risk as an integral part of each business process in activity of an enterprise in the service sector under conditions of uncertainty and its essential characteristics – negative consequences, optional nature of occurrence and the impossibility of their complete exclusion. The features of the manifestation of risks of service enterprises, the main aspects of the process approach in quality management systems and its integration with the business processes of service enterprises, the implementation of risk management in the quality management system of service enterprises, introduced in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, are considered. The practical significance of the obtained results of the study lies in the possibility of using the proposed risk-oriented approach to management and its integration into the quality management system of an enterprise in the service sector through the allocation of responsibility centers for risk management within the framework of the implementation of the main groups of business processes of the Quality Management System in the context of the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001:2015.

The article is devoted to the relevant topic of development and improvement of the enterprise’s business processes. The aim of the article is to study the practical aspects of improving business processes using the example of «Epicenter K» LLC through the implementation of digital technologies. It is clarified that there is a significant improvement in the field of business process classification. The article offers the author’s view of their division into development processes, main business processes, management processes and auxiliary business processes. The directions of development of the «Epicenter K» LLC group of companies within each of the groups were considered. The main business processes, which were improved by the company «Epicenter K» LLC, have been considered. The main methods of improvement and optimization of business processes of «Epicenter K» LLC have been determined. Examples of the use of modeling and description of business processes are provided: benchmarking, process engineering, and business process reengineering. It is determined that the main instrument for improving the business processes of «Epicenter K» LLC is their digitalization and digitization. It is clarified that the company is actively using digitalization to improve its business processes and to meet the needs of customers in both food and non-food products and services to the maximum extent. Examples of digitalization of business processes of «Epicenter K» LLC are provided: communications, trade process, work of employees of trade departments, document flow and production process. It is concluded that «Epicenter K» LLC is a leading domestic company in the field of retail and production, which every year more and more applies the strategy of diversification and optimization of its business processes, allowing to maximally satisfy customer requests in quality goods and services. The main directions of the company’s development in the field of digitalization and digitization of business processes are outlined in order to ensure profitability, reduce costs and increase labor productivity.

Taking into account the key factors of the development of society, the expediency of using certain information technologies for the effective competitive development of enterprises is emphasized. The need for the use of appropriate information technologies is confirmed by the advantages of their implementation. In the course of the study, it is disclosed that the basis of the modern information society is certain SMART-systems, and the driver of competitive development of enterprise is the re-engineering of its business processes, which determined the purpose of the study. To achieve the goal of defining and clarifying the features of SMART-systems to ensure the effective implementation of business processes of the enterprise, the methods of analysis, synthesis, abstraction, comparison, idealization, analogy, and concretization were used. The content of the concept of «SMART-systems» is characterized, the features of the application are described. The expediency and necessity of dividing SMART-systems into certain types depending on their vector-level application have been determined. The features of SMART-systems of each of the selected groups are outlined. The expediency of dividing SMART-systems into the proposed groups is substantiated by the possibility of their more operative implementation, faster adaptation, wider range of application and the ability to combine them as constituent elements of the hierarchical structure of an integral system. The hierarchical interaction of information systems of different groups will contribute to the formation of a comprehensive SMART-system for ensuring the effective competitive development of an individual enterprise with its component technologies, software products, etc., due to the possibility of combining the advantages of some systems, leveling the difficulties of implementing others. It is substantiated that the integrity of the information and digital support of the enterprise’s activities will contribute to the choice of more effective options for the interaction of individual business processes, their more efficient implementation and more flexible editing depending on changes in the conditions for the functioning of enterprises, as well as focusing more attention on key business processes at a particular point in time.

Abstract The purpose of this research is the effect of knowledge management on organizational performance considering the mediating variable of business process management. The current research is applicable in terms of purpose, and descriptive-survey in terms of data collection, and correlative type. The statistical population of the current research includes managers and experts of a company active in the field of export and import as many as 160 people, which was considered to be 113 people using Cochran's formula, and non-random sampling method was used. The collection tools in this research include knowledge management questionnaires by Fong et al., (2009), business process management by Rouhani et al., (2014), and organizational performance by Choi and Rainey (2010). The reliability of the research was checked and confirmed using Cronbach's alpha criterion in SPSS software. PLS software was used to fit the conceptual model of the research. The findings of the research showed that based on the significant values ​​of them, all three hypotheses were confirmed. The impact of knowledge management on business process management was 0.742, the impact of knowledge management on organizational performance was 0.422, and the impact of business process management on organizational performance was 0.652. Therefore, the most important proposal of the research is to pay attention to the preservation, sharing and application of knowledge, which is effective both in managing business processes and in increasing the level of organizational performance. Extended Abstract Introduction The activity environment of public and private organizations has undergone great changes in the last decade. This environment has changed from a static and motionless environment to a highly variable and dynamic environment. Therefore, organizations need flexibility in almost all aspects of their existence for their survival. On the other hand, preserving knowledge capitals and continuing to use them is also a reason for organizations to seek the use of knowledge management and its application (Bayat et al, 2022). Business process management is also one of the latest process management strategies and focuses on the continuous improvement of business processes using information technology as one of the basic elements of process implementation. Business process management strategy seeks to achieve flexibility and agility in the growth and evolution and dynamics of business processes and technological systems related to them. Business process management is a set of methods and technologies to identify, model, analyze, implement, control and improve business processes (Fernández et al. et al., 2020). The evidence of past research shows that knowledge management is a variable that is effective in business process management; and its dimensions can strengthen business process management. Also, many researchers, in the business environment, have examined the relationship between business process management and the performance of organizations, and have reached positive results based on effectiveness (Wei & Ling, 2015). Knowledge management can have a positive effect on improving the performance of organizations and on the other hand, it can strengthen the components of business process management. Also, focusing on the components of business process management leads to better utilization of resources and has an effective role in the better performance of organizations (Bayat et al, 2022). Therefore, the researcher is trying to answer the question, what is the effect of knowledge management on organizational performance with regard to the mediating variable of business process management? Theoretical Framework Knowledge management The most basic definition of knowledge management is to find a way to create and distribute organizational knowledge to people in need. Knowledge management includes the provision of wisdom and value-added experiences of people within the organization; so that it facilitates the retrieval and use of knowledge and protects it as an asset of the organization (Jalali & Jafari, 2022). Business process management Business process management is a proper balance of several sets of actions and tasks that must be done to effectively provide the needs and demands of customers and clients. This management approach increases the efficiency and effectiveness of the business to bring about certain changes in the system and achieve the goals and objectives of the company (Khajunjad, 2023). Organizational Performance Organizational performance is a complex phenomenon, and perhaps the simplest interpretation for it can be considered as a set of activities aimed at achieving organizational goals, therefore, organizational performance is related to how much an organization has achieved its goals. Organizations in difficult conditions should be able to identify organizational performance indicators that allow responding to new problems with the maximum speed of adapting to changes in the business environment (Brumand & Panahi, 2023). Karamipur (2023) investigated the design of artificial intelligence competency model on organizational performance considering business-to-business marketing capabilities. The results showed that the mechanisms of artificial intelligence competencies have an effect on business-to-business marketing capabilities and organizational performance, and also the model of artificial intelligence competencies on organizational performance is confirmed by considering the aspect of business-to-business marketing capabilities. Agheshlouei et al, (2023) investigated the presentation of a new business model to help entrepreneurs develop new businesses and e-commerce startups. The results of the research show that in addition to improving the business model of Strowalder and Pignor, the business model presented in the present study leads to a better understanding of the elements of the business model by entrepreneurs, and it improves investment negotiations by creating convergence and common understanding of business concepts between entrepreneurs and investors. Using this business model, entrepreneurs focus on the value proposition in addition to the technical details. Conclusion The current research was conducted with the aim of the effect of knowledge management on organizational performance with regard to the mediating variable of business process management. The results of this research are in agreement with the results of Karamipur (2023), Agheshlouei et al, (2023), Asgharneghad & Haghdoust (2022), Jalali & Jafari (2022), Bayat et al, (2022), Purrashidi (2021), Nobari (2021), Abi (2020), Pirayesh et al, (2020), Payal et al, (2019), and Zaim et al, (2019). The results related to the first hypothesis showed that knowledge management is effective on the performance of the organization. Therefore, in order to improve the performance of the organization, it is important and necessary to use the knowledge and experiences of employees. The results related to the second hypothesis showed that knowledge management has an impact on business process management. The sharing and exchange of knowledge in the organization causes better regulation and performance of the processes in the organization and leads to the management of processes related to the performance of various tasks in any organization. The results related to the third hypothesis showed that business process management is effective in organizational performance. Management of processes and, if necessary, modification, reengineering and their evaluations based on different conditions can lead to the improvement of organizational performance. According to the results of the research, it is suggested that by using information and software systems, processes should be formulated and their compliance should be periodically monitored. It is suggested to other researchers to conduct such a research in other organizations and compare their results with the results of this research, so that according to the conditions of the studied organizations, models for improving knowledge management and organizational entrepreneurship are discussed, and the results are precisely analyzed. It is also suggested to use other data collection methods such as interview and observation to strengthen the results.

The article examines the impact of Digital Twins on the business processes of mining companies. Mining companies can optimise their operations, from stripping and mining to enrichment and transportation. By modelling different scenarios, identifying bottlenecks and making informed decisions, companies can improve resource efficiency, reduce downtime and increase productivity, making a positive impact on their operational efficiency. Predictive maintenance strategies implemented with the help of Digital Twins help increase efficiency by minimising unexpected equipment failures and maximising uptime.The main technological effects of the use of Digital Twins in the mining industry, which affect the operational efficiency of the company, are: (1) an increase in the volume of output of commercial products after coal enrichment; (2) an increase in the coefficient of output to the production line of mining equipment.These effects lead to an improvement in the operating efficiency of the mining company, which increases indicators such as EBITDA and cash balance at the end of the period. This impact on operating efficiency is achieved by increasing the volume of commercial products, improving the efficiency of production processes, and by reducing the fixed and operating costs of the business.In order to assess the impact of the use of Digital Twin technology on mining companies, a methodology has been developed to assess the impact of the use of Digital Twin technology on mining companies. According to the results of the survey, a number of key production processes have been identified where the introduction of a Digital Twin is expected to have an impact.As a result of the empirical study, the expected increase in EBITDA from the implementation of the Digital Twin was 28%, the actual increase in EBITDA over the study period was 21%. The expected increase in free cash at the end of the period was + 593 million rubles (+130%), the actual increase in free cash for the period under study was 441 million rubles (+96%).The introduction of Digital Twins in mining companies has shown great potential for improving operational efficiency and solving complex challenges facing the industry.

In this article, the essence of technologies, characteristics and analysis of the phases of business process implementation in project activity under adaptive management are established. Project structuring, allocation of main tasks based on systems theory and development of a functional project management system as a whole become important in adaptive management. It is necessary to consider the activities of development companies comprehensively, relying on the organizational structure through the preparation of real plans, based on the knowledge of all specialists - executors of the works. The activities of companies are clearly structured into processes, which in turn are divided into functions. At the same time, all participants in any project activity are the main elements of the company's structure, as they ensure the practical implementation of the idea and concept. Present-day problems in the organization and management of development companies that arise under the conditions of the functioning of business processes are revealed. Adaptive management is characterized by the choice of a financing strategy for the companies' activities. But it consists in ensuring, through certain actions, the closure of financing needs and the transition from the current capital structure to the future one. In this situation, one-part and parallel use of different funding sources and schemes occurs. The authors indicated the formation of mechanisms for the stable functioning of companies through a process approach. The environment has an impact on the implementation of any project: it is necessary to be able to determine, calculate and take into account the impacts: economic, social, financial, managerial, technological, technical and execution terms, that is, the external and internal environment. Under certain conditions, each of these impacts can be critical for the project and lead to its liquidation. The article notes that all information from all those responsible for business processes are formed into a single industry model that ensures stable functioning. The authors attach an important place to the information system of management, accounting, analysis of project implementation, actualization of problems of operational plans and professionalism of specialists. New approaches and improved methodology for ensuring the stability of the functioning of companies using adaptive management are proposed.

The article investigates the impact of environmental factors on the business process reengineering of transportation companies. The focus is specifically on the activities and business processes of Ukrainian transportation enterprises. Following a review of scientific and practical sources, a scientific task was set: to determine the impact of factors on the reengineering process through a proposed methodological approach to economic-mathematical modelling. The article utilizes correlation regression analysis and analysis-synthesis methods to evaluate the dynamics of key financial indicators of transportation enterprises. It emphasizes that reengineering should be based on the influence of various factors, not necessarily related exclusively to either the external or internal environment. The approach proposed in the work involves using regression models to analyze the impact of factors on the reengineering process. The study notes that innovation is revealed through the proposed model, which considers a range of key factors and indicators of the activity of Ukrainian transportation enterprises. Meanwhile, the authors stress that using this approach allows for identifying key factors in developing an effective reengineering strategy for transportation companies to optimize their operations. The research examines how different analysis methods can be used to detect changes in the impact of various types of factors, both external and internal, on the decision-making process regarding reengineering. The scientific novelty lies in a comprehensive approach to regression modelling of factor impacts on a relevant variable to identify the most significant factors for decision-making regarding reengineering. Alongside this, the research has limitations due to the focus on the specifics of the activity of only Ukrainian transportation enterprises. The goal is set for further research to conduct a similar study for other types of enterprises, particularly the food industry, which requires changes under wartime conditions. Previous research works reveal that it is cumbersome to collect, process, and examine data to gain insight into the different elements of the organization and evaluate the level of digital maturity of the business. This exercise requires internal and external experts in different areas of the business. The shortage of digital tools to collect data and measure digital maturity of the business makes it difficult to bridge the aforementioned gap. To close this gap, this research is aimed at enabling the discovery and digital documentation (in a structured, interlinked, and hierarchical manner) of the levels and related constituents that make up an organization. This is achieved through the development of a digital tool that allows for the collection and digital documentation of relevant business data, automatic creation and linking of hierarchical structure, and creation of the graphical representations of the business constituents to determine digital maturity of the business. The deployment of information and communication technologies in organizations is on the rise. Many organizations consider the application of technologies to be a crucial key to improve their processes. However, traditional costing systems are not suitable for cost estimation of business processes due to the use of volume-based cost drivers, which are often not adequate for the structure of today's organizations. In this research, we present an overview of how the TDABC (time-driven activity-based costing) model can be combined with process mining and business process simulation for cost estimation of such processes. The objective of this paper is to use the cost dimension as a major attribute for the potential implementation of robotic process automation (RPA) in companies. However, information and communication technologies could be considered in general. We demonstrate our approach in a case study that takes advantage of a real-life event log containing transactional data representing the loan application process in an insurance company. The event log is analyzed and processed using process mining techniques. Based on the preprocessing, a simulation model representing the original loan application process is designed. The designed simulation model is then used for simulation of partial and full implementation of RPA through separate scenarios. Then, we add the cost dimension to the simulation by enriching the event log with cost data based on a formalized cost model. We show that even though partial implementation of RPA might not deliver significant increase in efficiency in the process, it might still represent significant cost savings. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
