A look at the literature reveals that among women, socio-cultural and economic factors are obstacles to their access to agricultural lands in rural areas. However, attacks by terrorist armed groups cause population displacement and exert pressure on land in host areas. This article aims to determine the extent of the land situation of internally displaced women in the municipality of Dédougou. To attain this research objective, a mixed approach combining quantitative and qualitative methods was implemented. This made it possible to carry out an investigation among 356 displaced women with questionnaire and execute 27 semi-structured interviews. The field results show that land insecurity is very accentuated in areas with a high concentration of population such as areas hosting displaced people in the municipality of Dédougou. Links related to family and geographical proximity to villages are variables with less influence on the conditions of IDF access to land resources. In addition, the ongoing land dynamic in the municipality, accentuated by land grab by real estate companies and individuals, the decrease in community land capital and the commodification of land makes it difficult to integrate displaced persons through land. As a matter of fact, land is increasingly becoming inaccessible for lending, but it is rather rented or purchased. The socio-economic precariousness (related to forced displacement and women’s status) of internally displaced women contributes to the systematic exclusion this new mode of access to land.
