PurposeEating disorders (EDs) are mental illnesses with severe consequences and high mortality rates. Notwithstanding, EDs are considered a niche specialty making it often difficult for researchers to publish in high-impact journals. Subsequently, research on EDs receives less funding than other fields of psychiatry potentially slowing treatment progress. This study aimed to compare research vitality between EDs and schizophrenia focusing on: number and type of publications; top-cited articles; geographical distribution of top-ten publishing countries; journal distribution of scientific production as measured by bibliometric analysis; funded research and collaborations.MethodsWe used the Scopus database, then we adopted the Bibliometrix R-package software with the web interface app Biblioshiny. We included in the analyses 1,916 papers on EDs and 6491 on schizophrenia.ResultsThe ED field published three times less than schizophrenia in top-ranking journals - with letters and notes particularly lacking-notwithstanding a comparable number of papers published per author. Only 50% of top-cited articles focused on EDs and a smaller pool of journals available for ED research (i.e., Zones 1 and 2 according to Bradford's law) emerged; journals publishing on EDs showed an overall lower rank compared to the schizophrenia field. Schizophrenia research was more geographically distributed and more funded; in contrast, a comparable collaboration index was found between the fields.ConclusionThese data show that research on EDs is currently marginalized and top-rank journals are seldom achievable by researchers in EDs. This paper presents a bibliometric study on blood cancers, considering publications distributed from 2012 to 2021. The study focuses on the literature available in the MEDLINE database, concealed within PubMed. A total of 32,750 documents on ‘Blood cancers’ were identified in the MEDLINE data covered by PubMed, with the highest number of 4,429 documents distributed in 2020. The document types were categorised, revealing that 39.11% were journal articles, 26.32% were Research Support, Non-U.S. Gov’t and 19.72% were Reviews. In Zone-1, 61 journals scattered 4,384 documents, accounting for one-third of the overall output. Zone-2 comprised 424 journals scattering 4,805 documents, and Zone-3 included 1,906 journals scattering 3,620 documents as journal articles. This study identified a total of 485 significant journals within the field of blood cancers. The analysis revealed that 60.98% of documents had more than five authors, while only 0.29% had no authors. The average degree of collaboration reached 0.96. A period-wise examination of the degree of collaboration showed an increasing trend from 2012 (0.94) to 2020 (0.97). The relationship between the number of authors and the number of articles that they have published follows a power-law distribution. Based on Bradford’s law, only eight were found to be the core sources. Mexico, followed by the USA, has produced the highest number of documents on plant nativity and endemism. The present study suggests that it is necessary to categorize data on endemism by floristic provinces, not by political subdivisions. Synecological studies are also needed, since endemic plants exist within communities. Models that accurately predict levels of endemism on the basis of easily measurable environmental variables should be useful for the rapid identification of endemic-rich areas. Recognition of the importance of plant endemism and the implementation of conservation measures is crucial for preserving biodiversity hotspots. Both in situ and ex situ conservation efforts are essential for protecting endemic species and preventing their extinction. Objectives: As research in otolaryngology continues to expand rapidly, it is important to identify core journals to keep clinicians updated with the latest advances. This study is the first to characterize core journals in otolaryngology. Methods: Using h‐index and impact factor (IF), the top 15 NLM‐indexed otolaryngology journals were selected for analysis. The references from all articles published in these journals in one randomized quarter were compiled into a citation rank list, with the most cited journal ranked the highest. Citation zonal distribution analysis was conducted to identify the zonal distribution of otolaryngology journals. Results: A total of 3150 journals containing 26876 articles were cited in otolaryngology literature in April–June 2019. Laryngoscope was the most cited journal containing 1762 citations. IF is significantly associated with the h‐index for the top 10 otolaryngology journals (p = 0.032). Three core journal zones were identified, with Zone 1 containing 8 journals, Zone 2 containing 36 journals, and Zone 3 containing 189 journals. A linear relationship between the log journal rank for Zones 1–3 and a cumulative number of citations was found (R2 = 0.9948). Conclusion: Eight core journals for otolaryngology were identified: Laryngoscope, Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery, Otology & Neurotology, JAMA Otolaryngology—Head & Neck Surgery, Head & Neck, European Archives of Oto‐Rhino‐Laryngology, International Journal of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology, Annals of Otology, Rhinology & Laryngology. This article presents a bibliometric study on different types of risk and bankruptcy, aiming to contribute to academic knowledge in this area. We used the bibliometrix tools in R and VOSviewer, following the main laws of bibliometrics (Bradford's law, Lotka's law, and Zipf's law). We analyzed 7163 relevant academic publications retrieved from the WOS database between 1995 and 2023. The characterization of the literature identified trends, importance, and scientific relevance of works, journals, and authors. This allows for promoting collaborations among researchers and provides insights for strategic decision making, advancing knowledge in the field. The most relevant journal was the "Journal of Banking and Finance", with Edward Altman as the prominent author. The United States and China were the most active countries in research. The current research highlights terms such as "board size", "CRS", "responsibility", and "governance", which are commonly found in recent works. The themes of greatest centrality include risk, model, and debt. The bibliometric review revealed gaps in knowledge and research, indicating a growing trend of studies in this area. This article aims to contribute to the academic knowledge in the field of scientific production regarding decision support tools for investments in the capital market, specifically focusing on fundamental analysis, technical analysis, and Ichimoku dynamics. Bibliometric analysis, following the three main laws (Bradford's Law, Lotka's Law, and Zipf's Law), was employed to evaluate scientific production, identify publication patterns, and uncover gaps and collaboration networks over the last thirty years. To achieve these objectives, 1710 relevant academic publications on the topic were analyzed and retrieved from the Web of Science (WOS) database, pertaining to the last 30 years, between 1990 and 22 May 2023. The significance of this article lies in the contributions of the findings, which advance scientific knowledge by identifying gaps in the knowledge and research, particularly in the limited literature on Ichimoku; our review reveals a growing trend of research in this area. Another notable conclusion is the emergence of new research topics and areas of interest, as well as the identification of collaboration networks among authors, institutions, and countries. Moreover, the article provides valuable insights for financial professionals and investors who are interested in applying these methodologies as methods for price forecasting. The evolution of ageusia research literature has yet to be investigated. This bibliometric study analyzed the entire ageusia research literature indexed in Web of Science, to reveal its growth and the most productive entities in terms of authors, institutions, countries, journals, and journal categories. In addition, this study aimed to identify medical conditions (and their treatments) that were frequently associated with ageusia. On 7 March 2022, the Web of Science Core Collection database was accessed with the following search query: TS = (ageusia OR "taste loss" OR "loss of taste" OR "loss of gustat*" OR "gustatory loss"). The search identified publications mentioning these terms in their title, abstract, or keywords. No additional filters were placed on publication year, language, etc. The basic publication and citation counts were extracted from the in-built functions of the database. The complete record of the publications was exported into VOSviewer, a bibliometric software for visualizations. The search yielded 1170 publications. The cumulative publication and citation counts of the ageusia research sharply increased in 2020. The most productive author was Professor Thomas Hummel from Technische Universität Dresden. Ageusia research had heavy contributions from the United States, Italy, the United Kingdom, Germany, and India. The top 5 most productive journals mainly belonged to the otorhinolaryngology and medicine categories. The medical conditions frequently investigated in ageusia research included COVID-19, cancers (head and neck, and advanced basal cell), Guillain-Barré syndrome, neurodegenerative diseases, diabetes, and Sjogren's syndrome. This study could act as a begvinner's guide for (1) clinicians who are not familiar with ageusia so that they might better understand which scenarios they need to be more aware of since ageusia could be a co-morbidity of a patient's underlying disease, and (2) for those who wish to search for relevant authors and journals for suitable publications related to the topic. The study of the relationship between education and business is a very relevant issue when education and business are key factors in developing and uplifting the economy. Education is the foundation for creating a business since the effective activity is impossible without a strong information base. The purpose of this research is a bibliographic review of scientific publications devoted to the relationship between business and education, based on materials indexed by the Scopus, Web of Science, and Mendeley databases using the built-in functions of the Bibliometrix application and the R programming language. The logic of the research is implemented with the help of three stages: at the first stage, an analysis of literary sources related to bibliometric analysis, as well as about business and education, the interdependence of education and business, which were published in the publishing house of MDPI scientific journals with open access, was carried out. Survey and interview methods are the methodological tools of most of the analyzed publications in the open access of the MDPI database. The research is conducted in the R language, using VOSViewer tools for bibliometric analysis. Various qualitative and quantitative methods were used to analyze the relationship between education and business, such as performance analysis, scientific mapping and thematic analysis, structural equation modelling, and Z-score statistics. At the second stage, the main functions of the Bibliometrix package were studied, countries, keywords constructed a three-field plot, and the year of publication of cited references to reflect the proportion of research topics for each country and the freshness of cited articles. Source clustering through Bradford's Law was also used to identify the best journals for publishing own research and searching for the most relevant scientific information. In addition, the Hirsch and Gini indexes of the selected sample of publications were examined in detail within the second stage. The Hirsch index is a quantitative measure of productivity based on analyzing published publications and citations. The distribution of authorship is estimated using the Gini index. At the third stage, keywords were analyzed, and a table was built with the most frequently used words to decrease the number of keywords mentioned. The conducted comprehensive analysis of scientific publications confirmed the close correlation of paradigms of business and education in the conditions of coopetition in modernity.

Conservation agriculture has recently been a hot topic of agricultural research and has generated significant global interest. Conservation agriculture has three core principles: minimal soil disturbance, permanent soil cover, and crop rotations. The research on this topic has also witnessed a boom in recent years as the number of peer-reviewed literature on conservation agriculture is rising exponentially. This study critically examines all the peer-reviewed documents published on conservation agriculture from the 1990s to 2021 and indexed in the web of science core database. The search returned 3023 documents, which were then processed in the R-based bibliometric package for annual scientific production trend, source, author, document, citation, keyword analysis, and co-occurrence networking using VOSviewer. Our findings show remarkable growth in conservation agriculture research in recent times, although it witnessed a shortfall in 2021. Notably, 15 core source journals contribute the most to the field, while 8692 researchers have authored or co-authored at least a document on conservation agriculture. While the USA, India, and Australia are front runners in conservation agriculture research, the spread of the topic is worldwide. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This research has the general objective to map the scientific production relative to the bibliometric studies indexed in the Reference Database of Journal Articles in Information Science. The methodology, in turn, is based on applied research typology, as of its nature; quantitative, regarding the problems approach; exploratory and descriptive about the goals; and bibliographic research, as for the procedures. For its achievement, it used a bibliometrics study at Brapci, from Lotka's, Bradford's, and Zipf's bibliometrics laws. The study analyzes 1,253 articles and its results demonstrate that: Maria Claudia Cabrini Grácio is the author who publishes the most about the said theme; on the other hand, the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul is the teaching institution with the highest productivity; concerning the co-authorship networks, the author Maria Claudia Cabrini Grácio stands out yet again. Furthermore, it was verified that the event that publishes the most about this theme is The Brazilian Meeting on Bibliometrics and Scientometrics, and the term bibliometrics is the word that better represents the theme explored. It was also identified that 2018 was the year with the most publications on bibliometrics. Lastly, it's concluded that the area of Information Science contributes significantly with relevant productions about bibliometrics, as well as presents the main scientific characteristics that permeate said productions. Background: This study presents a comprehensive review of blockchain technology with a sustainability orientation in supply chains and logistics. Methods: The publications are extracted from the Scopus and Web of Science databases, comprising 552 publications between 2017 and 2022. Several bibliometric laws and techniques, namely three-field analysis, Bradford's Law, Lotka's Law, and thematic maps, are applied in R with the bibliometrix package. Content analysis is also carried out based on 185 publications to appreciate the industry-based view of the field. Results: The bibliometric results indicate that this field is on the rise. Authors, sources, affiliations, countries, keywords, and their relationships are also addressed. The findings of the content analysis and thematic maps reveal that some of the most highlighted themes in the literature include traceability, COVID-19, the internet of things, and Industry 4.0. The most popular industry in this field is discovered to be food and agriculture. Conclusions: This paper contributes to the still relatively scarce literature on how blockchain technology fosters sustainable supply chains and logistics, providing a closer look at blockchain use, methodologies, and future directions for different industries concerning food, agriculture, fashion, textile and apparel, manufacturing, automotive, maritime and shipping, healthcare and pharmaceutical, mining and mineral, and energy. This study aims to explore the citation patterns of information management graduates' MPhil and Ph.D. theses submitted at the University of the Punjab, Lahore-Pakistan. It examined their core cited information sources in terms of gender, class, year-wise distribution of citations, the average number of citations, and authorship patterns in their citations. It identified the list of core cited information sources with several citations used by research graduates.Citation analysis technique was used to determine the core cited information sources in 71 theses (60 MPhil and 11 Ph.D.) submitted to the Institute of Information Management (IIM), University of the Punjab (PU), Lahore, during the period of one decade 2008-2017. All 7013 identified references were examined and categorized in journals, books and books chapters, web-pages, theses, conference proceedings, reports, and newspapers.Findings showed that both male and female MPhil/Ph.D. graduates frequently consulted and cited periodical literature i.e. journals (58.71%) followed by books and book chapters (20.72%). On an average MPhil graduates cited 80.85 sources and Ph.D. graduates cited 196.55 sources in writing up their theses. The authorship pattern of the citations showed the highest number of citations from single-authored work. Data revealed that information behavior was the favorite area among research graduates. Bradford's law of dispersion was applied to determine the list of most-cited journals and books. This study would be helpful for information professionals to understand the information needs of their patrons and to make informed decisions for building demand-driven collections. The findings of the study may apply to other LIS schools in the developing world with similar contexts.

Background and Aim: Psycho-oncology is a cross-disciplinary and collaborative sub-specialty of oncology that focuses on the psychological, behavioral, ethical, and social aspects of cancer in clinical settings. The aim of this bibliometric study was to analyze and characterize the research productivity and trends in psycho-oncology between 1980 and 2021. Methodology: In May 2022, the Scopus® database was searched for psycho-oncology-related publications using predetermined search keywords with specific restrictions. Lotka’s law was applied to check the authors’ productivity, while Bradford’s law was used to assess the core journals in this field. The data was analyzed for different bibliometric indicators in the Biblioshiny package, an RStudio tool for bibliometric analysis. Results: The initial search resulted in a total of 2,906 publications. Of which, 1,832 publications were included in the final analysis, published between 1980 and 2021. The analyzed publications were written by 7,363 authors from 74 countries and published in 490 journals. There has been a significant increase in psycho-oncology-related publications after 2010. The most productive year was 2021 (n = 365). The annual scientific growth rate was found to be 13.9%. The most relevant leading author in terms of publications was Luigi Grassi from the University of Ferrara, Italy (n = 42). Lotka’s law found that the number of authors declined as the number of papers written increased. The core journals were Psycho-Oncology, Supportive Care in Cancer, and Journal of Psychosocial Oncology. The most frequently used author’s keywords other than searching keywords were cancer, oncology, quality of life, depression, and anxiety. Recent psycho-oncology-related topics included mental health, COVID-19 infection in humans, people, pandemic, and tumor. The University of Sydney was the top-ranked institution. The leading country in terms of publications, citations, corresponding author country, and international collaboration was the United States of America (United States). The United States had the strongest collaboration with Australia and Canada. Conclusion: The research hotspots include mental health conditions and interventions in cancer patients. We identified international collaboration and research expenditure to be strongly associated with psycho-oncology research productivity. Researchers’ collaboration, which is visible among developed countries, should be extended to low-income countries in order to expand psycho-oncology-related research and understanding. The cumulative publication and citation counts of the ageusia research sharply increased in 2020. The most productive author was Professor Thomas Hummel from Technische Universität Dresden. Ageusia research had heavy contributions from the United States, Italy, the United Kingdom, Germany, and India. The top 5 most productive journals mainly belonged to the otorhinolaryngology and medicine categories. The medical conditions frequently investigated in ageusia research included COVID-19, cancers (head and neck, and advanced basal cell), Guillain-Barré syndrome, neurodegenerative diseases, diabetes, and Sjogren’s syndrome. This study could act as a begvinner’s guide for (1) clinicians who are not familiar with ageusia so that they might better understand which scenarios they need to be more aware of since ageusia could be a co-morbidity of a patient’s underlying disease, and (2) for those who wish to search for relevant authors and journals for suitable publications related to the topic.

Virtual Reality (VR) refers to simulated, computer-generated environments in which a person becomes part of a virtual world or is immersed within this environment and, whilst there, is able to manipulate objects or perform a series of actions. The advancement of this emerging technology requires the sharing of discoveries and knowledge by both individual researchers and research teams. The purpose of this study was to undertake a bibliometric analysis of articles pertaining to VR research and development. Methods: This study retrieved data from the Science Citation Index Expanded and the Social Science Citation Index Expanded sections of the Web of Science. The keyword "virtual reality" was used to search for full articles published between 1993 and 2017. The retrieved articles were analysed by year, country of origin, journal, institution, and citation number. In addition, the core journals were identified based on Bradford's law of scattering. Results: The literature relating to VR contained 11,150 articles from 96 countries released between 1993 and 2017. The majority of articles originated from the USA, with 3,482 articles (31.23%), the UK, with 1,204 articles (10.80%). and Germany, with 886 articles (7.95%). The articles were published in 223 subjects detailed by the Journal Citation Report's subject classification. Among the 223 subjects, the top 30 subject areas can be roughly categorised into computer science, psychology, and medical groups. On the other hand, the top three institutional publishers were University College London (UCL), the University of Toronto, and the University of Washington. The most frequently cited article, by Seymour et al.. demonstrated VR training in an operating room, and was published in the Annals of Surgery in 2002, and as of September 2018, has been cited 1,375 times. The core zone of the four-zone division contains 34 journals, and published 2,780 articles. Conclusions: The data indicate that VR articles have grown steadily over the period studied. The trend reveals that VR research is likely to fall at the growth stage, and so more research and development outputs may occur in the near future. In addition, this study has identified principle subject areas, core journals, prolific authors, and research institutions expected to contribute to VR research and development. The well-known inaccuracy of assessments of the contribution of scientists, organizations, and countries, as well as the half-life of publications and the number of articles and their citations by sections of science when using indexing and citation platforms (using the example of Web of Science) is discussed. This inaccuracy is explained by the fact, that on these platforms, journals are classified by thematic category, while the objects of calculations require classification by articles. The distribution of articles on specific topics among journals is uneven and obeys the Bradford dispersion law, which is not taken into account. It turns out that it is impossible to correct the results of such calculations. The way out is seen in the use of abstract journals for them, in which articles are indexed by headings. Digital curation is an area of research whose relevance has grown due to the increase in digital information. This article analyzes the scientific output about digital curation indexed on Scopus database from 2010 to 2020. It collects 334 references from Scopus documents and uses the software Bibliometrix and VOSViewer. It analyses the results related to production, connection and citation indicators, like: documents' typology, temporal evolution, Lotka's law, authors that are more productive and their impact, Bradford's law, sources of publication with more impact, keywords used by the authors and their cooccurrence network, and co-quotation analysis. It concludes that digital curation is an interdisciplinary area with vast research possibilities. The author sought to understand the pattern of use of information resources by the university undergraduates in the Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences discipline. This study analyzed 6754 citations from 361 undergraduate dissertations from 2014-2018 submitted to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. According to the findings journals were appeared to be the most preferred source of citation among the Veterinary Medical students. Data sets conformed to the Leimkuhler model derived from Bradford’s law. In the ranked list of core journals in Veterinary science, Journal of dairy science took the first place with 108 citations. Further, results indicated that the students utilized current information mostly for their research. Further observation on authorship patterns of the journal citations indicated that the students of selected veterinary dissertations had mostly cited journal articles which have been authored in collaboration. Recommendations were drawn towards improving the library collection in a user-centric manner and strengthening library instruction. This study analyzes the data in the field of Prosthodontics and used the bibliometric technique i.e. Bradford's Law of Scattering to identify the core journals. The literatures in the field of Prosthodontics in the MEDLINE data which is covered in the PubMed are considered. This study is framed to identify the core journals and its subject-wise coverage of journals and country of publication in the discipline of Prosthodontics. A total of 41524 records covered in the field of Prosthodontics in the study period i.e. from the year 2010 to 2019. It is found that a total of 62.03% of records are journal articles. Sixty-Three journals in the Zone-1 and Zone-2 were identified as core journals in the field of Prosthodontics. It is also found that the United States published 20 core journals out of 63 core journals in the field of Prosthodontics. The United States is dominated in the first position in the study of core journal analysis and followed by the countries i.e. England, Germany, China, India, Brazil, etc. The most frequently cited journal articles are published in the Dentistry subject journals; followed by Prosthodontics subject journals, Oral & Maxillofacial Implants subject journals, etc. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Since the emergence of the novel Coronavirus disease from Wuhan, China, in early December 2019, scientists every where in the world have focused on this infection to find a way to deal with it. Due to the rapid growth in the literature on this disease, the WHO took the initiative to collate the emerging publications and created "WHO COVID-19 Database". A scientometric study was conducted to better understand the nature of medical literature on COVID-19 included in the WHO COVID-19 Database, and this article aims to provide an analysis of the coverage of those publications focusing on the twelve months, from December 2019 to November 2020. A total of 35,791 full-text research articles on Coronavirus infections has been published across the world. These publications were originated from 57 countries, indicating the international spread of COVID-19 research. The USA was the largest contributor with 12,989 articles, followed by UK and Netherlands. All the publications mentioned above are written in 15 different languages where English has become the dominant language out of all those languages with 93.25%. According to the findings, the co-authorship network of 3 authors Eric J. Rubin, Lindsey R. Baden and Stephen Morrissey has made the highest contribution with 34 papers published in the New England Journal of Medicine (N Engl J Med). The journal with the highest number of publications on COVID-19 research was the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health (Int. J. Environ. Res. Public Health - online). The classification of study type reveals that the maximum number of articles are published on risk factors. This study showed that core journals publishing COVID-19 research are scattered among journals, closely conforming to Bradford's Law of scattering. The Lotka's Law on authorship productivity has been tested to confirm the law's applicability to the present dataset. According to the test, there is a variation of author productivity between the observed percentage and expected percentage of authors as in Lotka's Law. This study will help the research community to get the required information for their research. Bradford's Law states that for a given subject area the scattering of literature can be divided into three zones. The first zone (Zone 1)also called as core zone consists of very few number of sources (journals) with highest number of citations, the second zone (Zone 2) consists of moderate number of sources (journals) with a few number of citations and the third zone (Zone 3) consists of highest number of sources (journals) with seldom citations. The present study tests the applicability of Bradford's Law using 606 articles that were collected from the Scopus database for the period from 1988 to 29.02.2020. The 606 articles comprises of 7630 citations scattered in 226 journals. The journal distribution pattern does not comply with the Bradford's law. However, when Leimkuhler's Model was employed the dataset follow the Leimkuhler's model A rank list of core journals is prepared and the "Journal of Applied Polymer Science" ranked the top journal with 923 (12.10%) of total citations followed by Polymer Composites (10.20%), Polymer - Plastics Engineering & Technology and Engineering (6.79%) and Journal of Reinforced Plastics and Composites (5.45%). The distribution of the journals in three zones was done and the number of citations in each zone is calculated. The citation pattern of publication of Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology (CIPET) has been analysed. This study aims to explore the citation patterns of information management graduates' MPhil and Ph.D. theses submitted at the University of the Punjab, Lahore-Pakistan. It examined their core cited information sources in terms of gender, class, year-wise distribution of citations, the average number of citations, and authorship patterns in their citations. It identified the list of core cited information sources with several citations used by research graduates. Citation analysis technique was used to determine the core cited information sources in 71 theses (60 MPhil and 11 Ph.D.) submitted to the Institute of Information Management (IIM), University of the Punjab (PU), Lahore, during the period of one decade 2008-2017. All 7013 identified references were examined and categorized in journals, books and books chapters, web-pages, theses, conference proceedings, reports, and newspapers. Findings showed that both male and female MPhil/Ph.D. graduates frequently consulted and cited periodical literature i.e. journals (58.71%) followed by books and book chapters (20.72%). On an average MPhil graduates cited 80.85 sources and Ph.D. graduates cited 196.55 sources in writing up their theses. The authorship pattern of the citations showed the highest number of citations from single-authored work. Data revealed that information behavior was the favorite area among research graduates. Bradford's law of dispersion was applied to determine the list of most-cited journals and books. This study would be helpful for information professionals to understand the information needs of their patrons and to make informed decisions for building demand-driven collections. This study analyses the Indian Scientists contributions of research papers related to the topic in Data Mining was undertaken from Web of Science Databases has been used to retrieve the data for 22 years (1999-2020) by the searching the keyword "Data Mining". The study reveals that, most of the researchers preferred to publish their research results in journals; as such 88.59% of articles were published in journals. More numbers of articles were published in the year 2019. The authorship trend shows that, out of total 1096 literature published, 95.53 % of the publication published under the joint author. It is observed that author productivity is not in agreement with Lotka's law, but productivity distribution data partially fits the law when the value of Chi-square to 25212.62. Further this study also identified to analyses source wise. The current research employs two survival analysis methods: Cox regression and life tables. The first determines the effect of inventor, assignee and country for receiving the first citation by patents. Life tables concern the time-lag between the dates of granting and receiving the first citation by patents. Bradford's method is also established as a technique for categorization of patents, inventors, assignees and countries as a prerequisite for survival analysis. The research materials consist of 2837 patents in the area of 'purification, separation, or recovery of hydrocarbon components' which were classified under the classes 585/800 and 585/868 by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The findings showed that Bradford's method complies with the distribution of citations of patents, first inventors and assignees. It means that Bradford's distribution is well suited for determination of key patents, inventors and assignees in an area too. Cox regression revealed that only the inventors' variable decides for receiving the first citation in terms of frequency, degrees of their inventions and citations. Life table data revealed that one half of the first citations were received in the first 10 years. As a conclusion, survival analysis methods provide the possibility for deciding technology lifetime and for predicting the determinants for the flow of knowledge through citation analysis. The objective of this study was to analyze the scientific production of the term Open Government in the Web of Science database from 2010 to 2016, using as search filter the titles of articles in all languages, considering the distribution of international intellectual productions. The research retrieved the most relevant journals in the area of applied social sciences, observing the impact of these journals to this area of knowledge. The research has a quantitative character, as it was analyzed the scientific production with online access of the Web of Science database covering a total of 3,165 documents. One of the main laws of bibliometrics was applied, Bradford's law for this analysis. If you used a spreadsheet tool for mining analysis, tabulation and data processing. The work reveals non-linearity in publications over the years recording a significant increase in production in an international context. It is concluded that the term Open Government has quality in scientific productions according to the core of the law of Bradford demonstrated in that study, however, the term is still gaining space in scientific publications nowadays in a society in transformation. This study examined the mechanical engineering research output from India, Japan, and South Korea on different parameters including growth, collaboration indices, and activity index. The purpose of the study is to understand the overall development of mechanical engineering through analytical approaches applied on the scholarly outcome of the countries considered for the study. The study focuses on analysing the articles published by India, Japan, and South Korea, and is restricted to articles indexed in the Science Citation Index - Web of Science for the period 2000 to 2014. The ratios of number of paper to citations for India, Japan, and Korea are 20,836: 1,97,679; 24,494: 2,04,393; and 30,578: 2,66,902 respectively for the period 2000-2014. The findings show that there is a decline in Japanese publications in mechanical engineering, whereas other two countries have recorded an increasing trend. While India has tripled its publications in a span of 15 years, South Korea, on the other hand, has doubled its publications in the same span of time. There has been an increasing trend towards collaboration in almost all fields of science and technology. However, the extent of collaboration and their rate of growth varied for one subject to another, one branch to another branch of the same subject, and from one country to another country. The present study analyses the growth of research publications of the mechanical engineering domain including authorship distribution, collaboration indices, prominent journals, and activity index.
