- Abstract
Introduction Material and Methods Results Conclusions Some women are unable to become pregnant because they do not have a functional uterus. Over the last decade, it has become possible for these women to get pregnant through uterus transplantation, which has been the subject of numerous research studies. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to review published articles in the uterus transplantation area.We conducted a cross‐sectional bibliometric review to study the 100 highly cited papers in the Web of Science and Scopus databases from 1960 to 2024. Our research applied bibliometric analysis to these top 100 highly cited papers. Document citation and co‐occurrence analysis were used for the data study. VOSviewer along with Bibliometrix® software was used to design the maps. The trend of uterus transplantation publications increased exponentially after 2010. Sweden is the leading country, followed by the USA and Spain. Fertility and Sterility, Lancet, American Journal of Transplantation, and Human Reproduction were the highly cited journals. Collaboration among countries showed that the most collaboration took place between Sweden and Spain (18), Sweden and the USA (14), the USA and Spain (8), Sweden and Australia (6), and the USA and the United Kingdom (6). Furthermore, the results found that more than one‐third of the highly cited papers were review papers (39%) and 27% were clinical trial studies. This bibliometric review provides a valuable contribution to the literature on uterine transplantation by synthesizing and analyzing existing research findings. It offers insights into current trends, key themes, geographic distribution, and potential areas for future research within this rapidly evolving field. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
Over the years, microfinance programs have been the major strategy of many developing countries to improve people’s welfare and reduce poverty. Yet several studies on the welfare impacts of microfinance result in contradictory conclusions. While some studies support the mainstream view that microfinance improves the welfare of the unbankable poor, others criticize its limited effect on business development and weak impact measurement methods. This study analyzes 409 articles to bridge the empirical gaps between mainstream and critical views of microfinance impacts on society through synthesizing major themes in existing research and their interconnections and provides recommendations for future research. Using bibliometric and systematic literature review (SLR) approaches, this study found five clusters of empirical research on microfinance impacts, including entrepreneurship and poverty alleviation; self-help groups and women empowerment; financial inclusion; household income; and community welfare. The study also suggests that microfinance programs have positive impacts on welfare across countries. However, future research needs to more deeply focus on the impact of microfinance programs on agricultural finance, specifically financial efficiency, and social efficiency. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: Thyroid nodules (TNs) are a common clinical condition. The probability of thyroid nodules being malignant is 7-15%. However, in recent decades, a number of publications on TNs have not been well summarized and discussed. The aim of this study was to summarize and sort out medical publications on TNs over the past 2 decades using a bibliometric method. Materials and Methods: Medical publications from January 1
st, 2000, to November 1st, 2021, were searched in the Web of Science Core Collection database using the Medical Subject Heading (MeSH) term "thyroid nodule". Full associated data were downloaded, and detailed information was extracted using the bibliometric analysis platform VOSviewer. Results: A total of 8271 publications related to TNs from the last 2 decades were found and included in this study. An increasing trend was presented in the annual number of publications. The United States, China and Italy contributed the most publications. Carcinoma, management, ultrasound, and fine-needle aspiration were the most popular subjects in the field of TNs. The topics of the studies could be stratified into four clusters. The first cluster was using ultrasound to evaluate the nodules, including the thyroid imaging reporting and data system (TI-RADS), elastography and benign features. The second cluster was the fine-needle aspiration method, including the Bethesda system, cytology and BRAF mutations. The third cluster was the management of nodules, including radiofrequency and thermal ablation, surgery, and consensus statements. The last cluster was carcinoma, which is correlated with all three clusters described above. The preoperative diagnosis of cytologically indeterminate nodules was particularly highlighted in the top 10 most cited publications in recent years. Conclusion: How to diagnose thyroid nodules as malignant or benign, especially in cytologically indeterminate nodules, is still the most concerning topic in TN research. Although the fine-needle aspiration method and gene-expression classifiers show promising results, there is still a crucial need for translations from fundamental studies to clinical applications. Urolithiasis is the most prevalent benign urological condition, imposing a significant burden on morbidity, disability, and healthcare costs globally. Despite its impact, comprehensive bibliometric analyses of randomized clinical trials (RCTs) related to urolithiasis, which are essential for advancing evidence-based medical practices, are lacking. This study aimed to examine the global research landscape and trends in RCTs focused on urolithiasis. This study used bibliometric techniques to analyze a selection of RCTs on urolithiasis published between 1979 and 2023. VOSviewer software version 1.6.20 was used to visualize international collaborations and perform a keyword analysis of the included articles. The main objective was to identify key research areas and focal points within the field of urolithiasis RCTs. Between 1979 and 2023, a comprehensive search identified 16,716 research articles on urolithiasis. A total of 693 relevant RCTs were found in the Scopus database. The number of publications has significantly increased over time, indicating a strong positive correlation (R² = 0.9303; P < 0.001). China was the top contributor, with 166 publications (23.95%), followed by the United States, with 130 publications (18.76%). Turkey and Iran contributed 44 (6.35%) and 62 (8.95%) publications, respectively. Citation analysis revealed an average of 28.13 citations per article, an h-index of 70, and a total of 19,493 citations. The co-occurrence analysis highlighted current research trends and key topics in urolithiasis RCTs, including 'comparative effectiveness of surgical and laser techniques and patient outcomes', 'medical expulsive therapy (MET) for ureteral calculi and clinical outcomes', 'systematic reviews and meta-analyses of RCTs investigating urolithiasis', and 'dietary interventions and correlations between stone composition and the risk of recurrence.' The bibliometric analysis provides an overview of research on urolithiasis RCTs. It examines global research trends and identifies new developments in the field. Our review identified key research themes, including systematic reviews and meta-analyses, dietary interventions, medical therapy for the expulsion of ureteral stones, and comparisons of surgical techniques—areas that will remain focal points in future research. This bibliometric analysis is an invaluable resource for researchers, clinicians, and policymakers, providing a complete overview of past and present research trends. Informed decision making can be promoted and guided in future research, ultimately improving management and understanding. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This article explores the spillover effects of economic sanctions against Russia on research in neighbouring countries. The assumption of the paper is that such effects should take place given the high level of regional integration in the post‐Soviet area. The study uses bibliometric data retrieved from the Web of Science for analysis; more specifically, the data on publications during 2019, 2021 and 2023 from each of the four countries of interest – Kazakhstan, Belarus, Ukraine and Russia. The data was analysed using descriptive statistics and graphs. The results clearly point to the potential presence of negative externalities of economic sanctions on research systems of neighbouring countries not directly involved in the war. The paper discusses implications of the effects and recommendations, which can be used by policy makers to alleviate the effects on the neighbouring countries and by scholars to further investigate the phenomenon. Climate-smart agriculture (CSA) has become a central element in driving the greening agenda in agriculture. An in-depth exploration of global progress of CSA research globally can help to improve the level of understanding and assessment of the field by both academics and practitioners alike. Based on the Web of Science database resources, this paper analyzed the international CSA research hotspots using a bibliometric approach, based on 814 papers published on CSA topics between 2014-01-01 and 2023-08-11. The main findings were as follows: (1) since 2018, there had been a notable surge in the publication of CSA-related papers and subsequent citations. The core of CSA research predominantly revolved around environmental science, sustainability studies, agronomy, and interdisciplinary fields; (2) Keyword hotspots mainly included climate-smart agriculture, climate change, adoption, conservation agriculture, management, food security, mitigation, and farmers, etc.; (3) The research hotspots mainly included conservation agriculture, the impact and quantification of CSA on soil organic carbon, the effects of CSA application in different regions, the key factors affecting the adoption of CSA by farmers, and CSA-related decision support, which revealed that the effects of CSA implementation vary in different countries and regions, and that the key factors for the adoption of CSA by farmers were diversified, which suggested that policymakers must consider diversified factors comprehensively when designing and implementing CSA strategies to ensure the effective promotion and localized application of CSA measures across the globe. This suggested that policymakers should consider the diversity of factors when designing and implementing CSA strategies to ensure the effective promotion and localized application of CSA measures in all parts of the world; (4) The 25 references with a surge in citations from 2014−2023 were mainly focused on the core topics of conservation agriculture, the application and challenges of CSA, as well as the impacts of climate change on agriculture and coping strategies. • This manuscript is about bibliometric analysis and Visual analysis for laparoscopic pelvic floor surgery from 1996-2022. Further, we believe that this paper will be of interest to the readership of your journal. Because this is the first bibliometric analysis to identify the importance of laparoscopic pelvic floor surgery. • It has guiding significance for the treatment of pelvic organ prolapse in the future. Pelvic organ prolapse is a common condition in middle-aged and older women. Laparoscopic pelvic floor surgery is frequently researched as a treatment for this issue. However, the effectiveness of this procedure has only been the subject of a few studies. To quantitatively evaluate and display the relevant literature from the Web of Science database, we set the publication period of the literature from 1996 to 2022 and used VOSviewer and CiteSpace for visual analysis. Laparoscopic pelvic floor surgery research has increased year-on-year, with 1003 publications identified from 63 countries and published in 210 journals. In the global ranking of studies, the United States was the leader (n = 306; 30.5 %), with the most published authors being Campagna, Giuseppe (n = 17) and Scambia, Giovanni (n = 17). The International urogynecology journal included the most significant articles (n = 173; 17.2 %). Keyword analysis suggests that complications, rectal prolapse, native tissue repair, and warranty may have become hotspots in recent years. This bibliometric study shows that the depth and breadth of research on pelvic floor laparoscopic surgery have expanded rapidly over the last twenty-five years and that laparoscopic surgery has been recognized by different scholars or countries as an essential modality for the treatment of pelvic floor organ prolapse. Lichen planus (LP) is a representative mucocutaneous disease involving oral mucosa and skin. The aim of this study was to compare the scientometric characteristics of LP publications in stomatology and dermatology journals. All the papers on LP were comprehensively searched and then ones published in stomatology and dermatology journals were retrieved. Among all the 5633 papers on LP, 1344 (23.9%) and 2528 (44.9%) were published in stomatology and dermatology journals, respectively. Among the most-cited top-100 papers, 58 and 30 were published in stomatology and dermatology journals, respectively. Moreover, citation count (11,908) and citation density (640.2) of the 58 stomatology publications were obviously higher than the 2 numbers (5096, 260.3) of the 30 dermatology publications. Based on the frequency of research keywords, the distinctive keywords such as malignant transformation, precancerous, genetics, genotype, gene expression, saliva, blood, cytokines, smoking, anxiety, and depression were identified in stomatology publications. On the other side, hyperkeratosis, hyperpigmentation, erythema, epiluminescence microscopy, and dermoscopy were identified in dermatology publications. Furthermore, drug research including drug withdrawal, drug safety, and drug dose reduction with a dozen of drugs are frequent keywords in dermatology but not in stomatology publications. The distinctive keywords of LP publications in stomatology and dermatology journals correspond to the research priority in stomatology and dermatology. We hope that the observations of this analysis will aid clinicians and investigators in promoting mutual understanding and more reciprocal cooperation regarding LP in stomatology and dermatology. WATER quality ,OCEAN temperature ,AMERICAN oyster ,BODIES of water ,ZOSTERA marina - Abstract
With so many studies today on the water quality of the sea, one can hardly comprehend the multitude of topics that arise all over the world. This study provides a few graphic syntheses related to the most frequent words (including their clustering and links), trend topics, the spatial distribution of the researched areas, and the thematic evolution of the research directions over the decades. The most frequent authors' keywords have a 50% similitude between the ocean studies and the studies related to the Mediterranean Sea; these keywords are part of a causal chain that dominates the marine studies on water quality: nutrients → eutrophication → phytoplankton → chlorophyll → seagrass. The most frequent words in the titles and abstracts of the selected papers from the Web of Science are "concentration" and "species"; in the Mediterranean studies, "chlorophyll" and "temperature" are the most frequent. In close connection with water quality, Zostera marina (eelgrass) and Crassotrea virginica (eastern oyster) prevail at the global scale, while Posidonia oceanica (Neptune grass) is relevant in the Mediterranean space. Some of the most studied water bodies are the South China Sea, San Francisco Bay, Chesapeake Bay, and, in the Mediterranean Sea, the Adriatic, Ionian, Aegean, and Marmara seas. "Climate change" and "remote sensing" are trend topics that shape the current studies on water quality; the increasing sea surface temperature enhances algal blooms—these need to be monitored using satellite imagery for the sustainable evolution of human activities, including aquaculture. PARENT participation in mathematics education ,EDUCATIONAL intervention ,TECHNOLOGY ,STUDENTS ,LONGITUDINAL method - Abstract
This study is focused on investigating parental involvement in students' mathematical activities. It presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis that examines new areas of research to discover current trends and future research opportunities related to parental involvement in their children's mathematics activities. This study intends to provide a meaningful contribution toward enhancing educational interventions in the future. The metadata of the publications included in this analysis was extracted from the Scopus and ERIC databases using the search criteria "(parent OR parent) AND (involvement OR support) AND (math or math) AND student." After the screening step, a comprehensive analysis was conducted on a total of 944 articles using the tools Harzing's Publish or Perish 8, Biblioshiny, and VOSviewer 1.6.20. The findings indicated that studies on this topic covered 42 years and accumulated a total of 17,392 citations. The most prolific year in terms of publications was 2023, with a peak of 80 studies published. The leading contributors to this body of research were Jianzhong Xu and James Reed Campbell, each authoring six papers. The keyword mapping results revealed several interesting research avenues for future investigation, such as the incorporation of psychological interventions, longitudinal studies, multidisciplinary approaches, and the utilization of technology. SOCIAL responsibility of business ,EARNINGS management ,ENVIRONMENTAL responsibility ,BIBLIOMETRICS ,ENVIRONMENTAL management - Abstract
A bibliometric analysis of the literature (Zupic & Cater, 2015) was carried out to analyze the trends and conclusions of studies on earnings management and corporate social responsibility (CSR). This study examined 177 Scopus-indexed papers published between 2008 and 2022. R-Biblioshiny was then used to process the data and create a citation matrix and bibliometric network that could be visualized and interpreted. VOSviewer and further investigations were also conducted. The results of the data analysis show a drastic uptrend in the studies on CSR and earnings management over the years. The data also revealed Spain as the most influential nation, and Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management as the journal with the strongest influence. An article with 845 citations was published in the Accounting Review journal based on the Co-Occurrence Network. In 2019, the focus of the research was on “corporate governance”, “investor protection”, and “financial performance”, whereas in 2021, “stakeholder theory” and “board diversity” were important buzzwords. Kim Y., Park M. S., and Wier B. are the most cited authors for co-citation analysis. This study also showed Martinez-Ferrero J. as the most influential author. The results of this study provide insights into the future roadmap of studies on CSR and earnings management. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

QUARTERLY reports ,WAVE analysis ,COVID-19 pandemic ,ORTHODONTICS ,ORTHODONTISTS - Abstract
Aim: This article seeks to evaluate the shifts in publication rates and the participation of Indian orthodontists in different quartiles of orthodontic journals before, during, and after the pandemic, spanning the years 2017–2023. Methods: The evaluation involved manually searching through archives of 15 journals divided into quartiles, that is, Q1, Q2, and Q3. Articles with at least one author affiliated with an Indian university were collected and tabulated into graphs. Results: In Q1 journals, "Progress in Orthodontics" achieved the highest Indian publication percentage at 4.66%, whereas the European Journal of Orthodontics recorded the lowest at 0.93%. Among Q2 journals, the Journal of Orthodontic Science led with a maximum publication rate of 35.83%, while the Korean Journal of Orthodontics had the least, accounting for only 0.36%. In Q3 journals, the highest contribution of 31.16% was observed in APOS Trends in Orthodontics, while International Orthodontics had the lowest contribution at 8.24%. Conclusion: The examination of 15 orthodontic journals spanning the 7 years from 2017 to 2023 revealed that the publication trends remained largely unchanged in the majority of journals across all three time periods: pre-COVID-19, during the pandemic, and post-COVID-19. Notable exceptions included a slight increase in publications observed during and after the pandemic, specifically in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics (Q1 journal), Journal of Orthodontic Science (Q2 journal), APOS Trends in Orthodontics (Q3 journal), and International Orthodontics (Q3 journal).
