Data on inefficiency in some cases or temporary positive effect of commercial probiotics led to the development of the concept of autoprobiotic therapy. According to this, the correction of disturbed microbiocenoses is carried out using autostrains of indigenous normal flora (bifidobacteria, lactobacilli and enterococci). However, publications about effectiveness of autoprobiotic therapy are few and contradictory.The aim of the study was to investigate the biological properties and probiotic potential of intestinal lactobacilli, as well as the effectiveness of autoprobiotic therapy, based on Lactobacillus spp.Methods. Biological properties (antibiotic resistance, hemolytic, adhesive and antagonistic activity) were studied in 159 strains of intestinal lactobacilli. Autoprobiotic therapy with sour-milk ferments based on lactobacilli autostrains was carried out in 78 patients of the of the North Caucasus Federal District (NCFD) hospitals to correct the microbiocenosis of the large intestine due to antibiotic therapy.Results. The indigene strains of the intestinal lactobacilli of patients of NCFD hospitals are characterized by a wide spectrum of antibiotic sensitivity, lack of hemolysin production, medium adhesiveness and a high degree of antagonistic activity. Autoprobiotic therapy using Lactobacillus spp. significantly increases the amount of lactobacilli of the large intestine of patients in hospitals of the North Caucasian Federal District.Conclusion. A high probiotic potential of the indigenous intestinal lactobacilli is identified, which makes it possible to use them as effective autoprobiotics. The effectiveness of autoprobiotics with fermented milk starters with Lactobacillus spp. has been proven to restore the normal amount of intestinal lactobacilli patients after the use of broad-spectrum antibiotics.

The results are presented of the experimental study of survival rates of autologous bifidobacteria and lactobacilli strains (autostrains) in the intestines of conventional white mice and guinea pigs, as well as an assessment of the effectiveness of the use of isolated bifidobacteria and lactobacilli autostrains in the correction of microecological disorders in the intestines of animals with antibiotic-associated dysbacteriosis. Bifidobacteria and lactobacilli autostrains isolated from intestinal contents of conventional white mice and guinea pigs, as well as rifampicin-resistant derivatives of isolated bacterial autostrains were used in the experiments. It is found that rifampicin-resistant derivatives of bifidobacteria and lactobacilli autostrains retain species and genetically fixed sign of antibiotic resistance. Administered orally to experimental animals, autostrains of bifidobacteria and lactobacilli do not survive in the intestines of animals and are eliminated to 4 days after cessation of administration. Bifidobacteria and lactobacilli autostrains exert virtually no influence on the recovery of the intestinal microbiota in experimental animals with antibiotic-associated dysbacteriosis unlike lactobacilli metabolites and prebiotic Stimbifid, efficiently restoring intestinal microbiota in a short time

The results of the experimental studies of the lymphocytotoxic effect of homoprobiotic bidfidobacteria and lactobacilli autostrains on lymphocytes of guinea pigs are presented. Autostrains of homoprobiotic bifidobacteria and lactobacilli isolated from the feces of guinea pigs were used in the experiments. Isolation of the fraction of lymphocytes from the blood of guinea pigs for lymphocytotoxic test was carried out according to the sanitary rules SP 3.3.2.561-96. Intensity of damage in lymphocytes was assessed by counting the points and the cytotoxic index. The experimental results indicate that under the influence of large doses of homoprobiotic bifidobacteria and lactobacilli autostrains cytolysis occurs of only a small number of lymphocytes, and thus, the reaction of lymphocytes with autostrains of homoprobiotic bifidobacteria and lactobacilli is within the physiological range.

Exposure of human subjects to environments with modified parameters is associated with reduced colonization resistance of the intestine and epithelial tissue, which leads to dysbiotic changes. Probiotics - preparations based on protective microflora - are used to correct dysbacteriosis of different etiologies and localizations. However, the effectiveness of probiotics largely depends on the adhesive ability of a probiotic strain and lack of competitive relations with the indigenous microflora, which can be achieved by individual selection of a preparation. We propose to use autochtonous microflora as a probiotic drug to optimize the prevention and treatment results. A personalized approach to probiotic selection will improve therapy efficiency and reduce the risk of adverse effects in each individual patient.
