The article discusses the methodological issues of remote mapping objects of archaeological heritage using unmanned aerial vehicles. A section of the Yustyd river valley on the territory of the Kosh-Agach district of the Altai Republic was chosen as a polygon. The survey area in 2021 covered the territory of the right bank with the maximum concentration of large objects, first of all, khirgisuurs, which are distinguished by a variety of shapes and internal structures. For multispectral shooting of archaeological sites, an unmanned aerial vehicle DJI Inspire 1 (ver. 2.0) was used, a design feature of which was an additional mini-platform located in the rear of the hull. The platform was mounted for the installation of a Parrot Sequoia camera and an additional battery — a source of autonomous power supply for the camera. The process of photogrammetric processing of images was a computer automated digital processing of photographic materials with the subsequent creation of a mosaic orthomosaic. Agisoft Metashape software was chosen for photogrammetric processing of materials. The results obtained were subjected to index (thematic) processing of multispectral images based on a combination of green, red and near infrared channels. In the course of a comparative analysis of the constructed images, the following regularities were found. The MCARI index makes it possible to detect burial mounds and structural elements expressed in geometry (plan). Detection of various “anomalies” characterizing the presence of small elements in the turf layers is possible with additional filter processing. Thus, it has been established that multispectral imaging is a new high-tech tool for performing work: archaeological exploration, searching for new objects and clarifying the configuration of previously studied objects, when mapping stand-alone sites and archaeological complexes in general., В статье рассматриваются методические вопросы картографирования объектов археологического наследия дистанционным образом с помощью беспилотных аппаратов. В качестве полигона был выбран участок долины р. Юстыд на территории Кош-Агачского района Республики Алтай. Участок съемки 2021 г. охватывал территорию правого берега с максимальной концентрацией объектов больших размеров, прежде всего херексуров, отличающихся разнообразием формы и внутреннего строения. Для мультиспектральной съемки археологических памятников использовали беспилотный летательный аппарат DJI Inspire 1 (ver. 2.0), конструктивной особенностью которого являлась дополнительная мини-платформа, расположенная в задней части корпуса. Платформа была смонтирована для установки камеры Parrot Sequoia и дополнительной батареи — источника автономного питания камеры. Процесс фотограмметрической обработки снимков представлял собой компьютерную автоматизированную цифровую обработку фотоматериалов с последующим созданием мозаичного ортофотоплана. Для фотограмметрической обработки материалов была выбрана программа Agisoft Metashape. Полученные результаты были подвергнуты индексной (тематической) обработке мультиспектральных снимков на основе комбинации зеленого, красного и ближнего инфракрасного каналов. В ходе сравнительного анализа построенных изображений обнаружены следующие закономерности. Индекс MCARI позволяет обнаруживать курганные могильники и элементы конструкции, выраженные в геометрии (плане). Детектирование различных «аномалий», характеризующих наличие мелких элементов в задернованных слоях, возможно при дополнительной обработке фильтрами. Таким образом, установлено, что мультиспектральная съемка является новым высокотехнологичным инструментом при выполнении археологической разведки, поиске новых объектов и уточнении конфигурации ранее исследованных объектов, при картографировании отдельно стоящих памятников и археологических комплексов в целом.

В статье представлены результаты археологической разведки, осуществлённой в 2021 г. на прилегающей к пос. Арыскану Улуг-Хемского кожууна территории. Экспедиция была нацелена на выявление объектов исторического, культурного наследия и постановку на учёт в случае их обнаружения. В результате проведённой археологической разведки были выявлены два новых неисследованных и неописанных могильника, получившие название «Курганный могильник Арыскан-1» и «Курганный могильник Арыскан-2». Информация о них была передана в региональный орган охраны объектов культурного наследия. В могильнике «Арыскан-1» насчитывается восемь, а в «Арыскане-2» – семь кольцевых поминально-погребальных объектов. В статье описаны общие характеристики могильников, местности, культурно-хронологической атрибуции, ход поиска и выявления объектов. Выявление новых объектов даёт возможность существенно пополнить региональный реестр археологических памятников и решает актуальные вопросы дополнения Свода археологических памятников Республики Тыва, учета, охраны, а также научного изучения и их популяризации., The paper examines some results of the archaeological exploration in the surrounding territory of Aryskan, Ulug-Khem district conducted in 2021. The purpose of this expedition was to discover objects of cultural and historical heritage and register them. The expedition had found early unknown two burial mounds called “Aryskan-1 grave” and “Aryskan-2 grave”. The department of the protection of Cultural Heritage objects on the regional level was informed about findings. There were eight ring memorial and funeral objects in “Aryskan-1 burial ground”, and seven in “Aryskan-2”. The author describes general characteristics of burial grounds and area, cultural and chronological attribution, and the course of the search and identification process. Discoveries make it possible to significantly replenish the regional register of archaeological objects and to solve important issues of supplementing the register of archaeological sites in the territory of the Republic of Tuva, their accounting, protection, and popularization archeological information.

The accumulation of archaeological information about rural settlements of ancient times on the territory of the Taman Peninsula sharply raises the problem of generalizing knowledge and systematizing these objects. In the second half of the 20th century, based on the materials of excavations of individual monuments by I.T. Kruglikova and A.A. Maslennikov developed a typology of settlements based on the features of their internal structure. Since the end of the 20th century, attempts have been made to process the results of regional archaeological exploration in order to systematically analyze the entire set of rural settlements. The features of such data and the specifics of the goal set determine a fundamentally different approach to systematization, namely, the dimensional classification of objects as opposed to the construction of a typology. This article proposes a method for formalized analysis of the materials of archaeological exploration by Ya.M. Paromov and an example of its application to build a classification of settlements in the rural area of the settlement of Germonassa. Separately, the main problem of processing the analyzed materials is considered - isolating information about the settlement of a specific period from the generalized data about the site. To overcome this limitation, the already proven methodological approach of A.V. Batasova, which is based on the evaluation of settlements by the sum of several parameters. Based on this approach, the author proposes a different set of parameters and a different formula for calculating the final grade, which is the scientific novelty of the study. As such parameters, the area of the monument, the proportion of finds of the VI–III cc. BC in the total array of recovered material, the proportion of finds of the VI-V and IV–III centuries BC among the finds of the VI-III centuries. BC. and the density of finds of a specific period in the area of the site. The application of the proposed methodology to the settlements of the rural district of Germonassy allows us to confidently divide them into 3 and 4 size classes for periods of the VI–V and IV-III centuries BC accordingly, which enriches the data of the typological scheme and makes it possible to assess the hierarchical structure of settlement in this territory in the indicated periods., Накопление археологических сведений о сельских поселениях античного времени на территории Таманского полуострова остро ставит проблему обобщения знаний и систематизации этих объектов. Во второй половине XX века на материалах раскопок отдельных памятников И.Т. Кругликовой и А.А. Масленниковым была разработана типология поселений, в основу которой легли особенности их внутренней структуры. С конца XX века предпринимаются попытки обработки результатов региональных археологических разведок с целью системного анализа всей совокупности сельских поселений. Особенности таких данных и специфика поставленной цели определяют принципиально иной подход к систематизации, а именно размерную классификацию объектов в противовес построению типологии. В настоящей статье предлагается методика формализованного анализа материалов археологических разведок Я.М. Паромова и пример ее применения для построения классификации поселений сельской округи городища Гермонасса. Отдельно рассматривается главная проблема обработки анализируемых материалов – вычленение информации о поселении конкретного периода из обобщенных данных о памятнике. Для преодоления этого ограничения используется уже апробированный методический подход А.В. Батасовой, в основе которого лежит оценивание поселений по сумме нескольких параметров. На основании этого подхода автор предлагает иной набор параметров и другую формулу расчета итоговой оценки, в чём состоит научная новизна исследования. В качестве таких параметров используются площадь памятника, доля находок VI-III вв. до н.э. в общем массиве подъемного материала, доля находок VI-V и IV-III вв. до н.э. среди находок VI-III вв. до н.э. и плотность находок конкретного периода на площади памятника. Применение предложенной методики к поселениям сельской округи Гермонассы позволяет уверенно разделить их на 3 и 4 размерных класса для периодов VI-Vи IV-III вв. до н.э. соответственно, что обогащает данные типологической схемы и дает возможность оценить иерархическую структуру расселения на этой территории в указанные периоды., Человеческий капитал, Выпуск 5 (173) 2023, Pages 67-77

В результате разведочных работ в окрестностях пгт. Каа-Хем Кызылского кожууна, автором были выявлены ранее неизвестные объекты культурного наследия. В статье представлены результаты исследования двух памятников – курганных могильников «Дар-1» и «Дар-2». Всего было выявлено 28 объектов погребально�поминального характера. В результате разведки установлено, что археологические объекты на памятниках могут быть распределены в широких хронологических рамках от эпохи бронзы до эпохи раннего средневековья – 2 тыс. до н.э. – 1 тыс. н.э., In the result of exploration work on the territory of Kyzyl Kozhuun there were found previously unknown objects of cultural (archaeological) heritage in the surroundings of Kaa-Hem. Discovered two monuments are “Kurgan burial ground “Dar-1” and “Kurgan burial ground “Dar-2”. 28 objects of a funerary and memorial nature were identified totally on the area of two monuments. According to their cultural and chronological features, archaeological objects on the identified monuments can be divided into a wide chronological range from the Bronze Age to the Early Middle Ages the second millennium BC and the first millennium AC.

The Early Christian cemetery discovered by chance in Villagrazia di Carini in 1899, then forgotten and negletted, has been brought to light from the year 2000 to today thanks to the systematic teamwork of the University of Palermo and the Pontificia Commissione di Archeologia Sacra (PCAS). The unexpected dimension of the site, the largest underground cemetery of Early Christianity so far known in western Sicily, has finally allowed the historiographical debate to find a meeting point on the age-old problem of the existence of ecclesia carinensis, an Early Byzantine diocese attested by the written sources up to the eighth century and disappeared after the centuries of the Islamic domination in Sicily. The archaeological data, the iconographic study and the analysis of the architectural structures indicate that the site was used for funerary purposes from the 4th to the end of the 7th century, giving us the image of a strong and numerous Christian community, well informed about the theological debate of the time.

This logistical challenge leads the American Expeditionnary Forces to deploy one of the most impressive logistical grids of all time.Premises of the contemporary operational logistic like the great military operations from the World War II to the present day, the US Army has put in place few hundreds of logistical and medical structures on the whole French territory to support the expeditionary corps: hospitals, veterinary hospitals, regulatory stations, stationing camps, logistical and ammunition warehouses, rail grids,… Between landing ports on the French Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts, support bases and battlefront, a vital sprawling grid see the light of day. Sometimes, away from the battlefields, vast but not well-known facilities still mark the landscape of the French country. For few years, non-intrusive explorations, university research and archaeological surveys try to unearth this huge logistical grid at the rear of the battlefields during a conflict from wich the United States of America get out as the world first economic power.

An integrated geophysical survey has been conducted at the Tarragona’s Cathedral (Catalonia, NE Spain) with the aim to confirm the potential occurrence of archaeological remains of the Roman Temple dedicated to the Emperor Augustus. Many hypotheses have been proposed about its possible location, the last ones regarding the inner part of the Cathedral, which is one of the most renowned temples of Spain (twelfth century) evolving from Romanesque to Gothic styles. A geophysical project including electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) and ground probing radar (GPR) was planned over 1 year considering the administrative and logistic difficulties of such a project inside a cathedral of religious veneration. Finally, both ERT and GPR have been conducted during a week of intensive overnight surveys that provided detailed information on subsurface existing structures. The ERT method has been applied using different techniques and arrays, ranging from standard Wenner–Schlumberger 2D sections to full 3D electrical imaging with the advanced Maximum Yield Grid array. Electrical resistivity data were recorded extensively, making available many thousands of apparent resistivity data to obtain a complete 3D image after a full inversion. In conclusion, some significant buried structures have been revealed providing conclusive information for archaeologists. GPR results provided additional information about shallowest structures. The geophysical results were clear enough to persuade religious authorities and archaeologists to conduct selected excavations in the most promising areas that confirmed the interpretation of geophysical data. In conclusion, the significant buried structures revealed by geophysical methods under the cathedral were confirmed by archaeological digging as the basement of the impressive Roman Temple that headed the Provincial Forum of Tarraco, seat of the Concilium of Hispania Citerior Province.

During carrying out of the analysis of the subject aspect of the given crime such important characteristics of guilt as essence, extent of guilt, form and content of it have been revealed. At the mining area of El Centenillo (Baños de la Encina, Jaén) during several archaeological superficial studies and surveys a great amount of ancient fossilized miners works remains have been found inside the “socavones” (mines entrances) and “rafas”. Nevertheless, the insider part of the mine has not been studied yet. Therefore, in September 2010 we decided to carry out the first archaeological exploration. The main goal of this exploration was to document and identify those ancient subterranean works in order to identify them from the most modern and contemporary that could have been still intact. This first campaign was done at the same time as the archaeological excavation of the Bronze Age site of Peñalosa. Such work has been focussed in the exploration and the examination of the ancient mining works at the double vein of Mirador-Pelaguindas aswell as in the South and its respective Northern veins and the results of it can be found in this paper., En el área minera de El Centenillo (Baños de la Encina, Jaén) se encuentran numerosos restos de trabajos mineros antiguos fosilizados en el terreno como socavones y rafas, los cuales han sido objeto de diversos estudios y prospecciones arqueológicas superficiales. Si bien la investigación del trazado interno de los mismos no había sido abordada hasta el momento por ningún investigador. Por ello, con el fin de documentar e identificar estas labores subterráneas antiguas de las más modernas y contemporáneas que aún podrían quedar intactas, planteamos la realización de una primera exploración arqueológica en septiembre de 2010, durante la campaña de excavación del yacimiento de la Edad del Bronce de Peñalosa. Dicha actuación se ha centrado en la exploración y reconocimiento de las labores mineras antiguas excavadas en la pareja filoniana Mirador-Pela-guindas y en el filón Sur y sus norteados, cuyo resultado recogemos en el presente artículo., Dans le secteur minier d’El Centenillo (Baños de la Encina, Jaén), de nombreux vestiges de travaux miniers anciens sont visibles en surface, tels que des travers-bancs et des tranchées. Par le passé, ils ont fait l’objet de diverses études et de prospections archéologiques de surface mais n’avaient jusqu’à aujourd’hui jamais été explorés. C’est la raison pour laquelle nous avons proposé la réalisation d’une première explorationarchéologique en septembre 2010, durant la campagne de fouille du site de l’Âge du Bronze de Peñalosa, afin de tenter de caractériser ces anciens travaux souterrains. Cette intervention s’est concentrée sur l’exploration et la reconnaissance des travaux miniers localisés dans les filons croiseurs Mirador-Pelaguindas et dans le filon Sud et ses norteados, dont nous présentons les premiers résultats dans cet article.

O projeto de Prospecção arqueológica na área do Projeto Salobo - PA foi desenvolvido entre 2003 e 2006 pelo Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi com a finalidade de identificar e avaliar os impactos da implantação de atividades mineradoras da empresa VALE ao patrimônio arqueológico, além de indicar medidas necessárias para sua preservação ou resgate. O presente artigo tem por objetivo apresentar a metodologia de levantamento arqueológico utilizada para a identificação de vestígios arqueológicos na área da Floresta Nacional Tapirapé – Aquiri (FLONATA), município de Marabá / PA, a qual será afetada pela implantação deste empreendimento. Esta experiência deverá suscitar discussões quanto aos alcances e limites da abordagem apresentada, cujo resultado foi a identificação de 22 sítios e cinco ocorrências arqueológicas.
