The bachelor's thesis deals with the growth of interest in creative activities within photography. The theoretical part deals with the concept of leisure, which is divided into subsections on leisure pedagogy, interest, animation and the leisure educator. It then focuses on the history of photography in the 20th century and the relationship between photography and leisure. It further discusses the portrait, which was a central theme for human photography, and photographing it in the natural light of a window, outdoors, or with studio artificial lighting. The practical part is devoted to an educational project that was organized in three photographic blocks in DDM with children aged 10-13. The method sheets describe the realized blocks including the theme, task, educational goals, motivation, technique, material, time allocation, course of the activity, assessment and reflection of the realized activity.

The purpose of this contribution is to point out the abundance of short physics-related videos and animations on the internet and their usefulness for teaching physics. The author of this contribution, having collected such videos for some time, has taken this opportunity to sort his collection and publish it online for the benefit of other teachers. This website will be further enlarged over time and if the reader has their own favourite physics videos to share with other teachers, they are kindly asked to send them to the author to be included at the website.

We introduce a particle-based simulation method for granular material in interactive frame rates. We divide the simulation into two decoupled steps. In the first step, a relatively small number of particles is accurately simulated with a constraint-based method. Here, all collisions and the resulting friction between the particles are taken into account. In the second step, the small number of particles is significantly increased by an efficient sampling algorithm without creating additional artifacts. The method is particularly robust and allows relatively large time steps, which makes it well suited for real-time applications. With our method, up to 500k particles can be computed in interactive frame rates on consumer CPUs without relying on GPU support for massive parallel computing. This makes it well suited for applications where a lot of GPU power is already needed for render tasks.

The aim of my bachelor thesis is process the possibilities of using Kinect sensors for Motion Capture in Source Filmmaker and Blender programs. Motion Capture is a technology that captures motion by using Kinect sensors and applying the obtained data in 3D graphics programs. My main goal will be primarily to explore on subsequently describe the exact procedure to process the data obtained from Kinect sensors in Blender and Source Filmmaker. Furthermore, my other goals are comparison of the use of this technique to classical manual animation, the advantages and disadvantages of use in individual programs will be described and the possibilities of combining Motion Capture and classical animation will be tested. I´ll also try to modify Kinect hardware for Xbox One for direct connection to a Windows computer. Furthermore, a comparison of the quality of Motion Capture from Kinects for Windows and the Xbox One and comparison of capturing motion with one or more Kinect sensors. For the practical part I will create my own animated sequences, captured by Kinects in combination with manual animation in Blender and these sequences will be used in Unity to create an interactive movie that the user himself will be able to control.

This bachelor's thesis deals briefly with the history of early animation and further transition from pre-animation techniques to the world of film animation. It presents domestic and foreign contemporary work production mainly in the field suitable for working with children. It maps recent trends in the field and their further use through post-production. In addition, it points out parallels and inspirational examples from the film or gallery environment of animation. The didactic part presents the basis of the application of various methods of animation in practice with students. The objectives of the Framework Educational Plan (FEP) are taken into account here. The bachelor thesis deals with the current form of animated production, especially the tendencies that have emerged in recent years. It presents the possibilities of different approaches to animation, working with it and its use in art classes or in workshops. Current trends are presented through specific animated films and the work of their authors. Emphasis is placed on filmography created in the Czech Republic, mostly for children. For a comprehensive view of the field, the thesis maps basic animation techniques and represents a common procedure in the creation of professional animated films. The thesis also provides a list of organizations, institutions and programs dedicated to the dissemination of animation, its education for both students and teachers interested in involving it in their classes. The author relies on a professional literature, as well as information from websites or blogs dealing with the issue of animation, its difficulties and beauties. The author herself has been interested in animated work for several years, so she also uses her own work and the knowledge associated with it as a source of information. This bachelor thesis focuses on the processing of educational materials (animation and educational text) to support the teaching of cell signalling. The created materials are primarily intended for students of higher grammar schools and chemically oriented secondary schools and they are aimed at teaching the subject of chemistry and biology. This thesis deals with the comparison of the after school club and the children´s school club at primary school in Dobřany. The first part is focused on the characterization of the after school club in general according to legislation, available literature and activities of the after school club at a specific primary school. Further more, the goals, activities and staffing of the after school club are described there. In the second part is characterized the children´s school club in general according to available documents. On a specific case are described the conditions of establishment and operation, including the specifics of this facility. The third part of the thesis summarizes the activities of the after school club and children´s school club at primary school in Dobřany. In the summary of work we find out that two facilities in one school, which take care of the free time of children after school from the 1st to 5th classes, may have different duties, the system of enrolling children, opening hours and activities. The thesis shows a need for at least a minimum pedagogical education for people who work with children, although this is not required by legislation in this case.

We demonstrate the acceleration potential of the Chebyshev semi-iterative approach for fluid simulations in Projective Dynamics. The Chebyshev approach has been successfully tested for deformable bodies, where the dynamical system behaves relatively linearly, even though Projective Dynamics, in general, is fundamentally nonlinear. The results for more complex constraints, like fluids, with a particular nonlinear dynamical system, remained unknown so far. We follow a method describing particle-based fluids in Projective Dynamics while replacing the Conjugate Gradient solver with Chebyshev’s method. Our results show that Chebyshev’s method can be successfully applied to fluids and potentially other complex constraints to accelerate simulations.

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of lipids and it is focused on the processing in the form of educational materials (educational text and educational animations) for chemistry and biology on secondary school. It is devided into two parts. The theoretical part defines the key concepts serving as theoretical background: interdisciplinarity, visualization, animation. There is also performed the analysis of RVP G and the representation of the topic of the diploma thesis in this curricular document. The final chapter of the theoretical part is dedicated to determing the criteria for the analysis of the educational materials and the characteristics of the animation program Adobe Animate CC. The analysis of available educational materials is performed according to predetermined criteria in the practical part, specifically animations available on the Internet. One of the ways in which architects communicate their designs is through hand-made architectural sketches. Often it would be beneficial to have a sketch drawn from several angles, but producing many sketches is time- consuming for the architect. Another interesting visualization tool could be an interactive smooth rotation around a stylized scene, which would be impossible to do by hand. Style transfer is an area from non-photorealistic rendering. It tries to solve the problem of transferring a style from an image to another one. This work introduces the current state of style transfer and compares several methods of transferring an architectural sketch style from one view of a 3D scene to another view of the same scene. The StyLit algorithm is then expanded to run the style transfer for multiple viewpoints at the same time while maintaining spatially coherent results. Finally, a method to run an interactive smooth movement around the stylized scene is introduced. 1

Spline interpolation is widely used in many different applications like computer graphics, animations and robotics. Many of these applications are run in real-time with constraints on computational complexity, thus fueling the need for computational inexpensive, real-time, continuous and loop-free data interpolation techniques. Often Catmull-Rom splines are used, which use four control-points: the two points between which to interpolate as well as the point directly before and the one directly after. If interpolating over time, this last point will ly in the future. However, in real-time applications future values may not be known in advance, meaning that Catmull-Rom splines are not applicable. In this paper we introduce another family of interpolation splines (dubbed Three-Point-Splines) which show the same characteristics as Catmull-Rom, but which use only three control-points, omitting the one “in the future”. Therefore they can generate smooth interpolation curves even in applications which do not have knowledge of future points, without the need for more computational complex methods. The generated curves are more rigid than Catmull-Rom, and because of that the Three-Point-Splines will not generate self-intersections within an interpolated curve segment, a property that has to be introduced to Catmull-Rom by careful parameterization. Thus, the Three-Point-Splines allow for greater freedom in parameterization, and can therefore be adapted to the application at hand, e.g. to a requested curvature or limitations on acceleration/deceleration. We will also show a method that allows to change the control-points during an ongoing interpolation, both with Thee-Point-Splines as well as with Catmull-Rom splines.

Bachelor work deals with the creation of educational simulations motion of conical differential. Work is divided into two imagined parts. The first one is a literary research. The reader will read about what kind of conical differentials exist, where they are used, their advantages and disadvantages, their principle of action and a description of construction. A brief history about development CAD systems follows with a description of three chosen CAD modeling programmes. In this programme the basic modelling work is being described for a programme called SolidWorks. At the end of the first part technologies of three-dimensional view and virtual reality are introduced. The second part deals with the itself model's creation in the programme SolidWorks. From the creation of individual parts of conical differential up to the composition of those parts in to the group. Further follows a description of animations' creation and of videos of conical differential's motion. The result of this bachelor work are the educational videos with activity of a conical differential. The videos can be used for education and study techniques.

Diploma thesis "The course and long-term effects of animation as a method of working with adolescents" deals with the methods of working with endangered youth in the field and in the low-threshold facility for children and youth. It represents the reflection of the development of the methodology of the work of a particular organization in the Vltava housing estate in České Budějovice in the perspective of six years, when the author also worked here with a break. This time perspective makes it possible to help assess whether and to what extent the chosen approach appears to be effective. Above all, it allows to monitor the development of clients' life paths during a sensitive period from adolescence to adulthood. The potential of animation over other guiding and prevention systems can be to focus on activation, respect for life situations and the needs of clients, which are largely developmental, but also reflects social and psychological deficits in specific individual cases as well as in group life. Phenomenologically and ethnographically oriented research follows the previous author's qualification work and monitors the development of the contact center client community in the context of workers' suggestions and spontaneous life events. The diploma thesis focuses on creating educational materials (educational text and educational animation) for secondary schools emerging topic of digestion in human body. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part the following terms are defined: interdisciplinarity, visualization and animation. Moreover, the presence of the topic in the RVP G and analysis of accesible videos and animations, made in relation with the topic, are investigated. Results of both form a base to create educational materials within the practical part. Finally, a chapter about quantitative research method - questionnaire is incorporated. In the practical part of the diploma thesis, the results of realised questionnaire research are disscused. This questionnaire investigated the state of teaching of digestion in human body at secondary schools. The work examines possibilities of using gallery and museum animation in the permanent exhibition of Týn nad Vltavou's Town Museum. The theoretical part defines the basic terms like animation, experience, enjoyment, exhibit, collection item, museum item, museum, museum education, educational goals, contents of museum education, methods of museum education, organizational forms of museum education, planning, educational program preparation, gallery animation, methodical structure of gallery animation, typological breakdown of gallery himation The practical part contains three different programs, confirmed in practice, in which I presented live form of the exhibition to the children. The first program is based on museum animation and its theme is the history of rafting on the Vltava River in Týn nad Vltavou. The participants were creating small wooden raft models. The second program is based on gallery animation and its goal is the restoration of paintings. During this animation, the participants painted missing/damaged parts of the reproductions of the paintings from the museum's collections. The third program is in the form of a worksheet inspired by paper guide of the railway museum Spoorwegmuseum in Utrecht, Netherlands and guides visitors throughout the exhibition.

This thesis deals with the topic of monosaccharides structure and it is focused on the processing in the form of educational materials for secondary school. It is devided into two parts. The theoretical part is devoted to the analysis of curricular documents - Framework Educational Programmes and School Educational Programmes, then the analysis of secondary school textbooks and other educational materials. There is also the analysis of videos and animations. The practical part presents educational materials in the form of PowerPoint presentation and flash animations. There are also didactic notes which serve as a manual for lessons of chemistry on secondary school.

The aim of the master's thesis is to clarify the concept of open clubs. Basic terms connected to an open club are defined in the first part of the thesis. Spontaneous activities and low-threshold approaches are the most important there. The principle of low-threshold approaches are typical also for other institutions, that are registered in law. It concerns low-threshold centres for children and youth. The origin, development, aiming and activities of these centres are described. The thesis explains open activities for young people offered by different leisure time centres. Also open clubs and Salesian centres offer these activities. The last chapter of this part shows basic differences between an open club and a low-threshold centre for children and youth. The second part of the thesis deals with a detailed analysis of the School Education Programme of a chosen centre carrying on an open club. The aim of the research is to find information about the open club in the document and evaluate the extent and the quality of the discovered details.

This diploma thesis is focused on topics of and respiratory chain and their processing as educational animations for secondary schools. In the theoretical part of the diploma thesis, supporting terms are defined (visualisations, interdisciplinary relations, animations). The topic of the thesis is work of Karel Zeman - the important Czechoslovakian film director of the second half of 20th century and his media image in the Czech media of that period. Karel Zeman is one of the leading figures of post-war cinematography, especially one of it's branch - animated film. Karel Zeman is famous for his feature films Journey to the Beginning of Time, The Fabulous World of Jules Verne and The Fabulous Baron Munchausen, in which he combined performed and animated parts. His work is so specific and so tied together with the director that after his death nobody was able to continue in it. The thesis describes in chronological way Karel Zeman's work, from the first short animated films over the most famous featured combined films to the featured animated fairy tales for children. For understanding of the whole context the thesis briefly describes beginning of animation in the world and in Czechoslovakia and also continuously touch important changes in Czechoslovakian cinematography, which directly affected Zeman's work (post-war situation, nationalization of cinematography). The aim of this bachelor work is to find a suitable way for sharing Christian values with preschool children. For dealing with this task we took into account the realm of values and the specifics of a child's psyche, as well as the pedagogical context itself. We came to the conclusion that the most suitable way for carrying out this task is by using symbols. Based on the findings we came to, we can declare that symbols are very close to a child's perception of the world. The results of this work enable a child´s psyche to be formed in an unforced manner.

This thesis focuses on animation projects, which took place in the grounds of the courtyard in Dolní Počernice. The theoretical part describes the theory of cultural heritage animation, reanimation and animation projects and the possibilities of their funding. The aim of this thesis is to describe an analyse three animation and one reanimation project whose main subject is animation of immovable cultural heritage. This work follows up their success and impact on the local cultural life.

Crowd systems are a vital part in virtual environment applications that are used in entertainment, education, training or different simulation systems such as evacuation planning. Because performance and scalability are key factors, the implementation of crowds poses many challenges in many of its aspects: behaviour simulation, animation, and rendering. This paper is focusing on a different model of animating crowd characters that support dynamically streaming of animation data between CPU and GPU. There are three main aspects that motivate this work. First, we want to provide a greater diversity of animations for crowd agents than was possible before, by not storing any predefined animation data. Another aspect that stems from the first improvement is that this new model allows the crowd simulation side to communicate more efficiently with the animation side by sending events back and forth at runtime, fulfilling this way use-cases that different crowd systems have. Finally, a novel technique implementation that blends between crowd agents’ animations is presented. The results section shows that these improvements are added with negligible cost.

This diploma thesis deals with the use of animations in the user interface (UI) of mobile devices. The thesis is divided into five parts. The first part presents the theoretical basics of designing user interfaces for mobile devices, the second part is dedicated to the definition of animation, its usage, functions and the perception of animation in user interface. The third part summarizes existing research dedicated to the related field and research methods used in this thesis. The fourth part is focused on the research which was conducted as comparative study based on prototype user testing examining the different types of animation and their impact on the users. The last, fifth section, presents main research findings and answers the research questions. The results reflect the impact of animation on the UI and shows what are the advantages and limits of the use of animation.

The diploma thesis aspires, in its theoretical part, for a description of the theoretical and methodical basis and objectives of the educational process in the courses "Life and Art. " This school subject shall provide pupils of 58th grades in primary school with a basic cultural overview of medieval, Renaissance and Baroque architecture and art. The theses defines the concepts of animation, cultural animation and enculturation, experiential education, creative education and artefiletics, and outlines the prospects of their use in the educational process. The thesis also deals with the theory of perception in art and its connection to the pedagogical practice. It mentions the term genius loci as one of the elements of cognition of an architectural object and the place where it is located. In the practical part of the thesis, the individual architectural object of the Tabor Urban Conservation Area and it's immediate neighborhood are described. The thesis provides cultural, general and local historical, and also the theological context of art styles and places, which are the subject of the educational program. The bachelor thesis focuses on the architecture of the 1960s in the former Czechoslovakia. Its aim is to create a list of all buildings from this period, built on the territory of Prague and chart their prerequisites for a successful inclusion to life of a present society. It also includes a chapter describing the phenomenon of prefabricated housing estate. The theoretical part defines the basic terms of animation, public space and outlines the issues interposing culture into economic framework.

Creating an animation of battle from old maps in GIS Abstract The bachelor thesis is focused on options of creating animation of battle in GIS. At the begining of theoretical part is analysis of relation between time and cartography, including main methods of its visualization in maps, issues of cartographic animations and its creation in specific GIS software. Next part explains issues of battle maps and analyses the battle at Chotusice and old basemaps. In practical part, there is established methodic procedure of creating animation of battle from old basemaps in ArcMap and QGIS. The results are two animations of battle at Chotusice which are used to compare options, advantage and disadvantege of both used softwares. This work is showing that the adventures of animated family from Springfield, which are fullfilling TV programs all around the world since 1989, are not only an entertaining series for kids and adults, but that it also contains an important amount of social, political and religious issues, which, given to its popularity, could have influenced the development of its viewers' thoughts. This thesis is supported by showing the presence of a wide range of connections between the content of different episodes and their social context.

The dissertation has for its goal to analyse the supply of animation services by selected travel agencies for a families-with-children segment of customers in the Czech Republic. Based on a comparison of the supply together with a research into the actual situation on the side of the demand, a new competitive product of an animation service devised by the author is introduced. The theoretical part of the dissertation defines major terms in the realm of tourism and animation services. Throughout the empirical chapters, the author first analyses the market situation from the supply perspective. Second, using a method of a questionnaire survey, the market situation from the demand perspective is investigated. The last chapter deals with a creation of a new competitive product of animation services for families with children, implementing the findings from previous chapters.
