The design of a light source for a molten salt receiver experimental system has become challenging owing to the complex heating characteristics of the half-circumference surface during operation. Electromagnetic induction heating is an innovative technology that can replicate a half-circle heating scenario. However, its feasibility must be verified. In this study, we constructed a single receiver tube experimental system using induction heaters and developed a 3D numerical model coupling electromagnetic field to analyze the tube temperature distribution and molten salt temperature rise during preheating and salt circulation, considering various parameters. The results indicated that the numerical simulation agreed well with the experimental results, and the induction heater successfully reproduced the half circumference heating scenario. During preheating, a lower heat flux and higher wind speed result in a more uniform temperature distribution along the circumference of the tube wall, facilitating comprehensive preheating. During salt circulation, the heat flux and inlet salt mass flow significantly affected the temperature of the tube wall but had a relatively small effect on the back-side wall. Wind speed had the opposite effect, which was related to the arrangement of the experimental site. A higher heat flux, lower wind speed, and higher inlet salt mass flow led to a higher temperature increase in the molten salt. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

With the development of research on multi-modal data fusion and its combination with online data management, the application of multi-modal big data fusion in information management systems is more and more extensive. How to integrate multi-modal big data effectively is the key technology to building an efficient information management system. In this paper, based on the combination of a multi-support vector machine and convolution neural network, the feature-level data fusion of multi-source heterogeneous big data is implemented, and it is applied to the real data set to test the relevant model. High cost and restricted activity of electrocatalysis are the major challenges for hydrogen generation and biosensors. In this work, we provided a one-pot synthesis of CuxPdy alloy nanoparticles (NPs) with controllable atomic ratio and "clean surface". Benefiting from the preferable d-band structure, the Cu62Pd38 NPs exhibited a lower overpotentials in the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) over the full pH range. In the acidic media, Cu62Pd38 NPs achieved a low overpotential of 28.12 mV for HER, which was 25.73% of Pd NPs. In the neutral solution, the overpotential by Cu62Pd38 NPs is only 41.71% for that by uncleaned CuPd NPs. In alkaline media, the overpotential by Cu62Pd38 NPs was declined from 38.01 to 20.20 mV after 720 min yielding hydrogen, which was only 53.14% for the initial overpotential. As applied in biosensor, the synergistic effect of Cu and Pd accelerated the kinetics of electrocatalytic process, resulting in an enhanced performance. The glucose sensor constructed by Cu67Pd33 exhibited a wider detection range up to 100.0 mM. And the sensitivity is 379.4 µA/(mM·cm2), which is ca. 4.63 and 14.09 folds for that by pure Cu NPs and Pd NPs, respectively. An optimal atomic percent would be conducive to optimize electrocatalytic activity of CuxPdy alloy. In this work, the tensile strength of polyimide/silica composites with the covalently bonded interface (bonded PI/SiO2) is investigated by molecular dynamic simulation. It is found that the nanofiller with smaller size can bring out a larger number of hydrogen bonds and interfacial non‐bond energy in the composites, resulting in higher tensile strength. As the immobilization of the PI chains in the vicinity of SiO2, the covalently bonded interface is found to offer a greater reinforcing effect than the unbonded interface that is confirmed by the self‐diffusion coefficient. The tensile strength of 9 wt.% bonded PI/SiO2 composites is 11.34% higher than that of the unbounded composites. The tensile strength of PI/SiO2 composites is enhanced with the increase of SiO2 concentration up to critical mass percent (Xc), beyond which it will be decreased. To quantitatively predict Xc of PI/SiO2 composites, an empirical equation based on the non‐bond energy of the composites is proposed. The empirical equation showed that the Xc of PI/SiO2 composites ranged from 8.03 to 10.36 wt.%, which is consistent with experimental values. These results provided the understanding of size‐dependent covalently bonded interface structure, which would be beneficial to the design of nanocomposites with excellent mechanical performances.
