Abstract Introduction Maternal sleep deprivation (MSD), which induces inflammation and synaptic dysfunction in the hippocampus, has been associated with learning and memory impairment in offspring. Melatonin (Mel) has been shown to have anti‐inflammatory, antioxidant, and neuroprotective function. However, the beneficial effect of Mel on MSD‐induced cognitive impairment and its mechanisms are unknown. Methods In the present study, adult offspring suffered from MSD were injected with Mel (20 mg/kg) once a day during postnatal days 61–88. The cognitive function was evaluated by the Morris water maze test. Levels of proinflammatory cytokines were examined by enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay. The mRNA and protein levels of synaptic plasticity associated proteins were examined using reverse transcription‐polymerase chain reaction and western blotting. Results The results showed that MSD impaired learning and memory in the offspring mice. MSD increased the levels of interleukin (IL)‐1creIL‐6, and tumor necrosis factor‐α and decreased the expression levels of brain‐derived neurotrophic factor, tyrosine kinase receptor B, postsynaptic density protein‐95, and synaptophysin in the hippocampus. Furthermore, Mel attenuated cognitive impairment and restored markers of inflammation and synaptic plasticity to control levels. Conclusions These findings indicated that Mel could ameliorate learning and memory impairment induced by MSD, and these beneficial effects were related to improvement in inflammation and synaptic dysfunction.

ObjectivesTo examine serum concentrations of neurotensin, pannexin-1 and sestrin-2, and their correlations with subjective and objective sleep quality and cognitive function in the patients with chronic insomnia disorder (CID).MethodsSixty-five CID patients were enrolled continuously and fifty-six good sleepers in the same period were served as healthy controls (HCs). Serum levels of neurotensin, pannexin-1 and sestrin-2 were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays. Sleep quality was assessed with the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) and polysomnography, and mood was evaluated by 17-item Hamilton Depression Rating Scale. Aiming at the problem of poor accuracy of acceleration waveform reproduction during the shaking table test of earthquake simulation, a hybrid integration algorithm based on seismic acceleration signal is proposed to control the trend term error. The low-frequency attenuation integral algorithm in the frequency domain is used to integrate the original seismic acceleration signal once to obtain the vibration velocity signal, then, the polynomial fitting integration algorithm is introduced to integrate of the vibration velocity signal once in the time domain to obtain the vibration displacement signal. Through these two integrals, the sensitivity of low frequency band during frequency domain integration and the accumulation of small errors in time domain are reduced. Finally, the hybrid integration algorithm is used to perform seismic wave reproduction experiments on the seismic simulation shaker and good results are obtained, which proves that the hybrid integration calculation has high practical value and practical significance in improving the accuracy of the vibration table waveform reproduction.

The Xujiahe Formation is characterized by a large gas-bearing area, low reserve abundance, low yield, and dominantly lithologic gas pools because sandstone reservoirs are tight and low permeable, structures have gentle relief, and faults and fractures are undeveloped. Searching sweet-spots is the key step in gas exploration. The basement heterogeneity in the Sichuan basin has led to the activity of basement faults in NE and NW directions since Meso-Cenozoic, which influences the evolution of sub-structure zones and causes the occurrence of fractures and minor normal faults in Xujiahe Formation reservoirs. These fractures and minor faults improved the reservoirs quality, provided the path for gas migration, and contributed to the formation of local gas-rich trends. Meanwhile, later activity of basement faults caused an abnormally high geothermal field, accelerating the thermal evolution of source rock. The area of basement faults has the most favorable conditions for gas accumulation and is the main target for gas exploration.
