Problems caused by the herbicide glyphosate on soybean glyphosate-resistant (RR soybean) are a current topic, mainly those related to the higher incidence of diseases, to the mineral nutrition and to the effect on beneficial soil microorganisms. However, the majority of these studies have so far neglected possible negative effects related to nutrition, growth and development of RR soybean. With the continuous increased of RR soybean area in the world, many farmers have reported injury symptoms in some varieties of RR soybean after the use of glyphosate. Results obtained in this study revealed that the injuries caused by glyphosate in RR soybean may be related to the decrease in photosynthetic parameters. Beyond the photosynthetic damage, glyphosate also affected the water use efficiency of RR soybean, with significative decrease on the conversion of the photoassimilates. The "second generation" of cultivars RR soybean ("RR2"), to glyphosate injury, had the same visual injuries as the previous RR soybean, as well as, significative decreases on nutrient uptake and photosynthesis under glyphosate treatments. The glyphosate effects were more pronounced with increased glyphosate rates and late applications for both soybean RR and RR2. Problemas causados pelo herbicida glyphosate na cultura da soja resistente ao glyphosate (soja RR) constituem um tema bastante atual, principalmente aqueles relacionados à maior incidência de doenças, à questão nutricional e ao efeito sobre microrganismos benéficos do solo. No entanto, grande parte dos estudos disponíveis atualmente negligência possíveis efeitos negativos do glyphosate ao crescimento e ao desenvolvimento da soja RR. Com o contínuo aumento da área de soja RR no mundo, muitos produtores relatam que algumas variedades apresentam sintomas de injúrias após a aplicação. Resultados obtidos neste trabalho indicam que as injúrias causadas pelo glyphosate na soja RR devem-se à diminuição da fotossíntese. Além do dano fotossintético, glyphosate também afetou a eficiência do uso da água na soja RR, com significativa diminuição na conversão de fotoassimilados. A "segunda geração" de cultivares de soja RR ("RR2"), estudada neste trabalho, apresentou as mesmas injúrias visuais que a soja RR, e também diminuições significativas na absorção de nutrientes e na fotossíntese na presença do glyphosate. Thus, the objective of the present work will be to determine the period prior to interference (PAI) and the period before the damage to the economic yield (PADRE) caused by interference of weeds in two varieties of cassava in the first cycle of the crop. Planting was carried out in a no - tillage system, with a randomized complete block design in a 2 x 11 factorial scheme, two varieties in eleven weed cohabitation periods and four replications. In the plots were allocated the 'Baianinha' and 'Clone 56-03' varieties. The experiment was conducted in only one crop cycle (year 2015/16 - 1st cycle of cultivation / 10 months). The growing periods of weed cohabitation with the crop were; 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 140, 160, 180, 200 and 220 days after planting. Plots were kept totally free from weed cohabitation (weed control) and others kept in common with weeds (control coexistence) until harvest. The characterization of the weed community at the end of each coexistence period will be done using the square of inventory method, using tables of 0.25 m2, randomly placed in each plot. Both varieties were evaluated: plant height, leaf area, number of roots, harvest index, root productivity and starch content. The means were submitted to statistical analysis of regression, being the equations chosen based on the significant models, approved in the test of normality, biological logic and high R², using the computer program SigmaPlot 12.0. The PAI obtained by the Clone 56-03 variety was 87 DAP for root production and 79 DAP for starch production. The PAI obtained by the Baianinha variety was 30 DAP for root production and 27 DAP for starch production. Approaching the average price paid by the roots to the producers in the year 2016, with the control cost low the PADRE for Clone 56-03 was 30 DAP, with the high control cost was 75 DAP. For Baianinha the PADRE with low control cost was 14 DAP, with the high control cost was 35 DAP. For starch production the Clone PADRE 56-03 was 18 DAP for low control cost and 44 DAP for high control cost. Baianinha presented 7 DAP for low control cost and 44 DAP for high weed control cost. Os fatores econômicos que determinam a lucratividade dos produtores de mandioca como o custo de controle das plantas daninhas e o valor monetário das raízes ou de seus derivados industrializados podem ser utilizados na determinação do período aceitável de interferência das plantas daninhas antes da tomada de decisão de controle. Assim o objetivo do presente trabalho foi determinar o período anterior à interferência (PAI) e o período anterior ao dano no rendimento econômico (PADRE) causado pela interferência das plantas daninhas em duas variedades de mandioca no primeiro ciclo da cultura. O plantio foi realizado em sistema de plantio direto, o delineamento utilizado foi de blocos casualizados em esquema fatorial 2 x 11, duas variedades em onze períodos de convivência com as plantas daninhas e com quatro repetições. Nas parcelas foram alocadas as variedades ‘Baianinha’ e ‘Clone 56-03’.O Experimento foi conduzido em apenas um ciclo cultivo (ano 2015/16 - 1º ciclo de cultivo/10 meses). Os períodos crescentes de convivência das plantas daninhas com a cultura foram; 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 140, 160, 180, 200 e 220 dias após o plantio. Foram utilizadas parcelas mantidas totalmente livre da convivência com as plantas daninhas (testemunha capinada) e outras mantidas na convivência com as plantas daninhas (testemunha convivência) até a colheita. A caracterização da comunidade de plantas daninhas ao final de cada período de convivência será feita por meio do método do quadrado inventário, utilizando-se quadros de 0,25 m2, lançados ao acaso em cada parcela. Em ambas variedades foram avaliadas: a altura de plantas, a área foliar, o número de raízes, índice de colheita, produtividade de raízes e teor de fécula. As médias foram submetidas à análise estatística de regressão, sendo as equações escolhidas com base nos modelos significativos, aprovados no teste de normalidade, lógica biológica e de elevado R², utilizando-se o programa computacional SigmaPlot 12.0. O PAI obtido pela variedade Clone 56-03 foi de 87 DAP para produção de raízes e 79 DAP para produção de fécula. O PAI obtido pela variedade Baianinha foi de 30 DAP para produção de raízes e 27 DAP para produção de fécula. Abordando preço médio pago pelas raízes aos produtores no ano de 2016, com o custo de controle baixo o PADRE para Clone 56-03 foi de 30 DAP, com o custo de controle alto foi de 75 DAP. Para Baianinha o PADRE com custo de controle baixo foi de 14 DAP, com o custo de controle alto foi de 35 DAP. Para produção de fécula o PADRE da Clone 56-03 foi de 18 DAP para baixo custo de controle e 44 DAP para alto custo de controle. Baianinha apresentou 7 DAP para custo de controle baixo e 44 DAP para alto custo de controle das plantas daninhas.

This selection can change features of the original population of the area, often bringing negative consequences for the area. Given this context, one of the latest cases was biotypes discovery Digitaria insularis resistant to glyphosate. The objective of this study was to identify biotypes resistant to glyphosate and to evaluate the growth and development of these resistant and susceptible biotypes to glyphosate. Biotypes resistant and susceptible were selected in areas with continuous application of glyphosate history, and area without continuous application of glyphosate, respectively. The experiments were conducted at the Experimental Stations Center belonging to Unioeste. The first experiment was conducted to confirm the resistance of the biotypes. The experimental design was a randomized block design with four replications. The treatments consisted of seven doses of glyphosate (0, 180, 720, 1,440, 2,880, 5,760 and 14,400 g ha-1). The application was carried out in the development phase in which the plants had 2 to 5 tillers and 10 cm. The data were submitted to analysis of variance and adjusted to model non-linear regression of sigmoidal type a 3.0 times higher dose of glyphosate to control 50% of biotype resistant plants compared to susceptible biotype was required. It was concluded that there is occurrence of resistance in populations of D. insularis in western Paraná, and the biotype collected in Cascavel, considered resistant. The second experiment was conducted in experimental design of randomized blocks with four replications and 15 treatments, characterized by evaluation times (14, 21, 28, 35, 42, 49, 56, 63, 70, 77, 84, 91, 98 , 105 and 112 days after emergence), at regular intervals of seven days. Biotypes were transplanted into pots with 11 L capacity, one plant per pot each biotype. Leaf area and dry matter evaluations were conducted in 15 seasons. With these data dry matter were calculated relative growth rate (RGR), net assimilation rate (NAR), leaf area ratio (LAR) and leaf weight ratio (RPF). The two biotypes showed similar growth, reaching a maximum leaf area and dry weight to 112 DAE. There was no difference in dry matter accumulation pattern for the biotypes. The TCR and absolute growth rate (TCA) were different for the two biotypes, especially in the early development of plants. The susceptible biotype has higher growth ability when compared resistant, so that the numerical dominance of the resistant biotype compared to susceptible, verified under field conditions, it may be due to caused by herbicide selection pressure O manejo químico das plantas daninhas aplicado atualmente na agricultura brasileira e mundial, vem selecionando biótipos resistentes aos herbicidas. Esta seleção pode alterar características da população original da área, trazendo consequências muitas vezes negativas. Recentemente, foi descoberto biótipos de Digitaria insularis resistentes ao glyphosate, diante deste contexto, o objetivo deste estudo foi identificar biótipos resistentes ao herbicida glyphosate e avaliar o crescimento e desenvolvimento de biótipos resistente e suscetível ao glyphosate. Os biótipos resistentes foram selecionados em áreas com histórico de aplicação contínua de glyphosate, e os biótipos suscetíveis em área sem aplicação contínua de glyphosate. Os experimentos foram conduzidos no Núcleo de Estações Experimentais pertencente à Unioeste. O primeiro experimento foi conduzido para se confirmar a resistência de um dos biótipos. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi o de blocos ao acaso, com quatro repetições. Os tratamentos foram constituídos de sete doses de glyphosate (0, 180, 720, 1.440, 2.880, 5.760 e 14.400 g ha-1). A aplicação foi realizada na fase de desenvolvimento, em que as plantas apresentavam de 2 a 5 perfilhos e 10 cm de altura. Os dados obtidos foram submetidos à análise de variância e ajustados ao modelo de regressão não-linear do tipo sigmoidal. Foi necessária uma dose três vezes maior de glyphosate para controlar 50% das plantas do biótipo resistente em relação ao biótipo suscetível. Concluiu-se que há ocorrência de resistência em populações de D. insularis no Oeste Paranaense, sendo o biótipo coletado em Cascavel, considerado resistente. O segundo experimento foi conduzido visando avaliar as características de crescimento da espécie, utilizando-se o delineamento experimental de blocos ao acaso com 4 repetições e 15 tratamentos, caracterizados por épocas de avaliação (14, 21, 28, 35, 42, 49, 56, 63, 70, 77, 84, 91, 98, 105 e 112 dias após a emergência (DAE)), em intervalos regulares de sete dias. Os biótipos foram transplantados em vasos com capacidade de 11 L, sendo uma planta de cada biótipo por vaso. Avaliações de área foliar e massa seca foram realizadas em 15 épocas. Com estes dados de matéria seca, foram calculados a taxa de crescimento absoluto (TCA), a taxa de crescimento relativo (TCR), taxa de assimilação líquida (TAL), razão de área foliar (RAF) e razão de peso foliar (RPF). Os dois biótipos apresentaram crescimento semelhante, atingindo o máximo da área foliar e massa seca aos 112 DAE. Não houve diferença no padrão de acúmulo de massa seca para os biótipos. A TCR e a taxa de crescimento absoluto (TCA) foram diferentes para os dois biótipos, principalmente no início do desenvolvimento das plantas. O biótipo suscetível possui maior habilidade de crescimento quando comparado ao resistente, de modo que a dominância numérica do biótipo resistente em relação ao suscetível, verificada em condição de campo, pode ser decorrente da pressão de seleção causada pelo herbicida
