International audience; Cet article évalue une expérience de négociation interindividuelle dans une usine chinoise. Le contexte politique actuel, ainsi que les traditions locales de management, interdisent pratiquement de donner un pouvoir de négociation aux salariés. La méthode choisie a consisté à prendre l’intervenant comme un médiateur qui remplace la négociation directe par des échanges sur les types de changements à introduire et les sanctions/récompenses afférentes. L’expérience s’est faite sur un groupe expérimental, contrasté par un groupe témoin. L’évaluation positive, tant au plan économique que social, montre la faisabilité et l’acceptabilité de cette démarche en Chine.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the most common malignant tumors worldwide. In terms of cancer-related death, colon cancer ranks second and third among men and women, respectively, and the incidence is increasing annually. Accumulating evidence have indicated that long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) plays an important role in tumorigenesis. In this study, we found that lncRNA EPB41L4A-AS1 was highly expressed in CRC tissues and was associated with poor prognosis and tumor metastasis in patients with CRC. In vitro studies showed that the knockdown of EPB41L4A-AS1 inhibited the proliferation, migration, invasion, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition of CRC cells. Mechanically, we found that EPB41L4A-AS1 may participate in the development of CRC by activating the Rho/Rho-associated protein kinase signaling pathway. Collectively, these results demonstrated that EPB41L4A-AS1 can promote the proliferation, invasion, and migration of CRC, and it may be a novel biomarker for the diagnosis and targeted treatment of CRC.

As a minimally invasive procedure, mesotherapy has been used in the cosmetic field for half a century and gets favorable results in fat reduction, facial rejuvenation, and hair regrowth. So far, it has achieved some exciting progression in pattern hair loss (PHL), which bothers plenty of people and has cost billion dollars searching for more effective treatment. The aim of this study is to summarize the efficacy of mesotherapy treating PHL.Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL), PubMed, EMBASE, and Web of Science were searched until January 2021. All literature was evaluated according to established criteria.We got 336 studies from searched databases, and 12 studies were included after selection process. A total of 253 males and 274 females participated in 6 randomized control trials, 2 nonrandomized controlled trials, and 3 observational studies. Mesotherapy showed positive efficacy in all studies to a certain extent, and no significant side effect occurred.Mesotherapy demonstrated as an effective treatment for PHL. However, the sample size is not big enough, and studies about mesotherapy compared to other treatments are insufficient. Future research is required to claim more evidence.

A high regioselective rhodium-catalyzed ortho C H coupling of 2-arylindoles with diazo compounds via NH-indole-directed C H bond activation has been developed. The catalytic reaction features mild reaction conditions, broad substrate scope and good functional group tolerability.

According to the actual measurement data, probability models of horizontal wind load were obtained based on wind velocity statistic and power spectral density function of fluctuating wind velocity through stochastic sampling and using spectrum analysis method. Through the comparison of two models, probability models of horizontal wind load based on probability models of fluctuating wind velocity were obtained by revising the mean and variance of fluctuating wind velocity. Results show that the variance takes lower value when the power spectral density function of fluctuating wind velocity is used to obtain the probability model of horizontal wind load. The quadratic term of fluctuating wind velocity takes a small contribution value in total wind load with almost no contribution to the model of horizontal wind load. It is convenient for practical engineering to obtain the models of horizontal wind load by using probability models of fluctuating wind velocity.

The molecular mechanisms underlying the dysregulation of microRNAs (miRs) have been previously documented in breast cancer. miR-198 has been reported to be deregulated in several human cancers. However, the detailed effects of miR-198 on breast cancer progression remain unclear. Using quantitative polymerase chain reaction analysis, we demonstrated in the present study that miR-198 was downregulated in breast cancer tissues and cell lines, and that downregulation of miR-198 was significantly correlated with lymph node metastasis. Functional studies revealed that miR-198 inhibited cell proliferation and migration and promoted cell adhesion in aggressive breast cancer cells in vitro. In addition, we observed that CUB domain-containing protein 1 (CDCP1) was a direct target of miR-198, and that knockdown of CDCP1 inhibited cell proliferation and migration, and promoted cell adhesion, which was similar to the effects of overexpression of miR-198. Taken together, we provide evidence to characterize the role of miR-198/CDCP1 interaction in breast cancer, which may be useful in breast cancer therapy.

The purpose of the study is to evaluate the sustainable energy investments based on house of quality. For that, a hybrid decision-making approach to interval type 2 (IT2) fuzzy sets under the hesitancy is proposed. The novelties of the study are to construct an integrated IT2-based modelling and a set of dimensions and criteria for the sustainable energy investments for the emerging countries. The DEMATEL method is used for weighting the customer expectations of sustainable energy investments. The TOPSIS method is applied for ranking the house-of-quality-based investment policies with the technical requirements for the emerging economies. The results show that the capacity issue of energy industry is the most prominent issue for the technical requirements of energy investments. However, it is concluded that increasing communication with the capacity facilities is the most valuable strategy based on the house of quality evaluation. The results are also discussed for further studies and sustainable policies. Discoidin domain receptors1 (DDR1) is associated with tumor progression, and its dysregulated expression has been observed in many cancers.We aim to explore molecular mechanism underlying the role of DDR1 in colorectal cancer development.Immunohistochemistry and Western blot were applied to examine the DDR1 expression. Real-time RT-PCR and Western blot were performed to determine the expression of miR-199a-5p and DDR1. Luciferase reporter assay was used to determine whether DDR1 was a target of miR-199a-5p. Effects of miR-199a-5p and DDR1 on colorectal cell proliferation, colony formation, cell cycle progression, invasion and migration were then investigated. Western blot was used to determine the relative signal pathways.Increased DDR1 and decreased miR-199a-5p expression coexisted in CRC, knockdown of DDR1 or overexpression of miR-199a-5p both resulted in reduced colony formation, invasive and migratory capabilities of human CRC LOVE1 and LOVO cells. It was also found that overexpression of miR-199a-5p led to decreased DDR1, MMP2, N-cadherin and vimentin expression and increased E-cadherin expression in both CRC cell lines. However, down-regulation of miR-199a-5p resulted in the opposite effects. Dual luciferase reporter assay confirmed that miR-199a-5p could directly target DDR1 through binding to its 3'-UTR.Our findings indicated that up-regulation of DDR1 induced by miR-199a-5p down-regulation may contribute to the development and progression of CRC, and this effect may be associated with increased invasiveness, at least in part, via activating the EMT-related signaling.

This paper aims to propose a new method based on binary instruction structure analysis to detect the degree of similarity among softwares, which provides a technical reference for the software clone detection. Without source codes of software, it makes a reverse analysis of the disassembly of an executable file, and has similarity intercomparison through function snipping, instructions classifying and weighting on the function similarity which is computed by the longest common subsequence (LCS). In the process of intercomparsion, this paper has considered that the program execution process and the function call sequences have impact on the code layout. The algorithm is optimized to achieve more accurate similarity by parsing and optimizing the executable file structure on the level of instruction executive structure. It provides a new way to detect software clone in case of no source codes, which is proved effective by the experiment.

The enlargement of a personal network through outside board appointments bring CEOs large benefits like social influence, power, compensation, reputation, and future employment opportunities. For accruing these benefits, CEOs may use their control over firm resources to receive invitations to serve as outside director of other firms. In this study, we focus on a concrete use of firm resources, the transfer or tunneling of profits from the CEO’s firm to other firms, and analyze whether such tunneling increases the likelihood of gaining additional board appointments as well as maintaining them once CEOs change their job. We hypothesize that CEOs might sacrifice part of their firm performance to favor their chances of being appointed in other firms’ boards. We further predict that, after sitting on these outside boards, CEOs will continue engaging in tunneling activities in order to maintain their outside board positions. For agency theorists, managerial entrenchment is one of the costliest manifestations of agency problems. CEOs in their attempt to neutralize the discipline of corporate governance mechanisms cause substantive losses to firms’ shareholders. In this study, we broaden the concept of managerial entrenchment by considering the network of firms in which CEOs serve as board members. Unlike the traditional agency theory’s assumption that entrenchment occurs within the firm, we move the focus from the firm to the network of firms with board ties to the focal firm and suggest that CEOs may create a network of directorships in order to entrench themselves at a network level. We posit that this will happen when firms’ internal governance structure are strong and their performance prospects are relatively poor.
