The 2-D compact variational mode decomposition (2-D-C-VMD) has potential research significance in data mining of hyperspectral images (HSIs). The paper proposes a method of concatenation of features. First, the 2-D-C-VMD technique is used to decompose the HSIs to obtain smooth and clear boundary sub-band images when the 2-D-C-VMD takes the most preferred a priori parameter K ×. Second, the optimal low-frequency component features of the image and the optimal high-frequency component constructed features are concatenated first and last, and the structure of the concatenation is constructed into a new fused data. Finally, in order to avoid the redundancy of the fused data band information from affecting the classification result, combine a recently developed simple and practical superpixelwise principal component analysis (SuperPCA) dimensionality reduction method to effectively reduce the dimensionality of the fused data. By comparing the analysis with relying only on the optimal low-frequency image feature information and with the direct linear superposition fusion that has been employed, it is verified that the concatenation of features approach proposed in this paper can obtain better recognition results. To address the problem that the performance of the detector in airborne magnetic anomaly detection (MAD) is terrible, a stochastic resonance (SR) detection algorithm based on orthonormalized basis function (OBF-SR) is proposed for MAD under low signal-to-noise ratio conditions. The signal contaminated by noise is first preprocessed by the OBF method, where the sum of the three components in the OBF space is selected as the SR system input. Then, a parallel SR system with different initial states is designed to detect the signal. Finally, the simulation analysis of MAD methods is performed to draw a comparison between the OBF-SR method, the typical SR method, and the OBF method. The results show that the OBF-SR method outperforms the SR and OBF methods in the detection probability and detection range under the same conditions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Supervised hyperspectral classification is one of the important applications in hyperspectral remote sensing. Currently, the enormous complexity of the hyperspectral data makes hyperspectral feature extraction a very challenging job. In this letter, we propose a feature extraction approach by developing a 2-D compact variational mode decomposition (2-D-C-VMD) for the supervised hyperspectral images (HSIs) classification. Specifically, the HSIs are first decomposed into a series of mode components using 2-D-C-VMD. Then for the subsequent supervised classification, a collection of feature samples are created by elaborating the collected pattern components. Finally, a support vector machine (SVM) is adopted as the classifier to validate the aforementioned feature extraction algorithm. According to experimental findings, this approach obtained a high level of classification accuracy with a compact feature extraction process and the time for feature extraction is also shortened.
