In this article, we investigate the existence and regularity of solutions for non-autonomous integrodifferential evolution equations involving nonlocal conditions. Using the theory of resolvent operators, some fixed point theorems, and an estimation technique of Kuratowski measure of noncompactness, we first establish some existence results of mild solutions for the proposed equation. Subsequently, we show by applying a newly established lemma that these solutions have regularity property under some conditions. Finally, as a sample of application, the obtained results are applied to a class of non-autonomous nonlocal partial integrodifferential equations.

● Ecological fragility and water shortage are key challenges in the Yellow River Basin.● Efficient water use technology in drylands greatly increases crop production.● Water-saving irrigation has been widely adopted and has greatly improved water use.● Changing water use from unregulated and inefficient to intensive and efficient is key solution.● Watershed-scale coordination is a key step towards agriculture green development.The Yellow River Basin is an important food production area and an ecological challenge for China, where environmental protection and water scarcity are the major constraints. For the upper reaches of the Yellow River Basin, optimizing the adoption of chemicals in agricultural production and integrating crops with livestock are the key strategies for protecting the eco-environment. For dryland agriculture in the middle and upper reaches, this study summarizes four aspects of efficient precipitation techniques in terms of collection, storage, conservation, and use, which have greatly improved crop yields and supported dryland crop production. Irrigated agriculture in the middle and lower reaches is the core area of China’s grain production, where the area under water-saving irrigation reached 13.0 Mha in 2018, greatly improving water use. Compared with 1998, cereal production in 2018 increased by 62.2 Mt under similar total water withdrawals (49.7 billion to 51.6 billion m3), and the annual soil erosion at the Tongguan Hydrological Observatory reduced by 584 million m3 in 2018, achieving great success in environmental protection and efficient water use. The Chinese government has set a goal for the Yellow River Basin to become the national leader in environmental protection and efficient water use by 2035. Such a high demand requires the combined efforts of the whole community, as well as the adoption of new technologies, coordinated basin-wide development, and adequate policy support.

In order to investigate the effect of ultraviolet-C (UV-C) irradiation combined with chitosan (CH) coating on the storage quality of Hami melon, changes in the physiological quality and antioxidant enzyme activities of ‘Xizhoumi 17’ Hami melon from Xinjiang were determined during storage at (5 ± 1) ℃ after the combined treatment. The results indicated that both single and combined treatments effectively delayed the changes in the storage quality of Hami melon, with the combined treatment being most effective. On the 49th day of storage, the fruit firmness of the combined group was 1.13 times higher, and the contents of soluble solids and titratable acids were 1.14 and 1.35 times higher than those of the control group, respectively; the contents of ascorbic acid and total phenols increased by 23.40% and 32.51%, respectively, and the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), ascorbate peroxidase (APX) and peroxidase (POD) by 12.70%, 73.53%, 26.43% and 28.14%, respectively. In conclusion, UV-C combined with CH coating can effectively maintain the postharvest storage quality of Hami melon. This study can provide a reference for the postharvest preservation of Hami melon.

● To achieve food security, Chinese agriculture– food system could not achieve C neutrality. ● China’s dual carbon goals has put forward more strict requirements for the green development of agriculture. ● The realization of C mitigation potential lies in the extensive application of existing technologies and technological innovation. The agricultural sector, a major source of greenhouse gas emissions, and emissions from agriculture must be reduced substantially to achieve carbon (C) neutrality. Based on a literature analysis and other research results, this study investigated the effects and prospects of C reduction in agricultural systems under different scenarios (i.e., methods and approaches) in the context of China’s dual C goals, as those working in the agricultural sector have yet to reach a consensus on how to move forward. Different views, standards, and countermeasures were analyzed to provide a reference for agricultural action supporting China’s C neutrality goal.
